Where to find Peruvian dishes in Las Vegas - Eater Vegas

"Peruvian cuisine is all about finding inspiration from a seemingly contrasting regional recipes and creating something special. At El Toque del Sabor, diners will find just that. The extensive menu includes Chinese-inspired chifa del sabor (sweet and sour chicken with Peruvian fried rice), arroz con pato, and numerous ceviche choices." - Krista Diamond

All dishes we ordered were delicious 😋 Great service. We ordered Parihuela, it's a Seafood Soup, has shrimp, clams, fish, mussels and squids, Ceviche Carretillero is fish ceviche served withfriedcalamari and sweet potatoes, and also ordered Chaufa de Carne and Chicha, purple corn drink bottle. Recommend!

Google
This place was excellent. It's so hard to find authentic tasting Peruvian food, and this place got the mark. The portions are great and the price is reasonable. We had the anticuchos, yucca frita and ceviche. They have love music on Saturday nights too . Definitely plan to come back. You should try it, you won't be disappointed.

Google
Finding an authentic Peruvian restaurant in Las Vegas is tough enough. Toque del Sabor is authentic to a degree but there were a few things that just miss the mark and garnered a 3 star review in my book. FOOD As a Peruvian, the best way to test authenticity is to sample the restaurant’s Lomo Saltado — our National dish! If they can hit a home run with this plate it usually means all the menu hits the mark. My Lomo (a lo pobre) was good but could have been so much better. First, there was hardly any Lomo. I mean there were slices of beef but I counted eight small slices of beef. And once the top layer of Lomo is eaten there’s no more underneath the veggies. That’s hardly 4 ounces. So what made up the Lomo Saltado was all of the rest of the fixings— lots of French fries, about a quarter of red onion some tomatoes and chopped scallions. There were two fried eggs which were cooked to perfection But, the star of the plate was wholly under presented. LOMO (beef) ! It’s what the dish is named after! There should be equal parts Lomo to the veggies. The sauce was tasty indeed but could have used a bit more soy flavor as it leaned a bit more on the oyster sauce All in all, tasted good but I felt I was skimped on the Lomo needlessly. SERVICE Definitely felt at home with the sweet and very lovely Maria. She smiled attentively towards me and always walked by to check on us. Bridget was also exquisite and equally lovely and attentive. Service is what makes this place one to which I will definitely return ATMOSPHERE We arrived about 2:00 pm so no live band. However they had a video looped with salsa music. Would have been nice to hear some Peruvian music if there was no intent on dancing. For example, Los Morochucos albums would be perfect entertainment to a lunch crowd seeking to reconnect with their roots. Plus The Pisco Sours were amazing !

Google
I have no words. We came from San Francisco for a short trip to Vegas for Valentine's day and my fiance was let's go this Peruvian restaurant. Oh Lord. It was so delicious. Ceviche was fresh. Papa rellena, oh damn! This will be my favorite place to eat. Only 15mins away from the strip. Great service and fresh. Also very traditional. I recommended.

Google

Happen to stumble upon this spot on a Sunday with my family. Live music and dancing mixed with great food and people was excellent. Definitely coming back again.

Google
The food was amazing. I can say it was one of the best Milanesas I've had. The variety of options was good. Totally recommended.

Yelp
Food was delicious and the ambience inside the restaurant was so cool. Don't judge the place from the outside Our food was brought out in a timely manner for our large group (9).

Yelp
My first time and the last as they want to rip customers off: 1) Charged me more than cost on the menu; when brought to waiters attention, I had to go to talk to the person on the cash register who did not even apologize... 2) Refused to serve me glass of water they made me buy bottled water, which was a regular one listed on the bill as Agua Borinka; for $4.99 - it was a simple bottle of water. 3) They charge more for non cash payments 4) On menu ut says that between 7 & 11 PM 18% tip is added to the bill; My dining time was 11:45 PM and I was still charged 18% on the bill, when I asked, they said that on Saturdays, that's how they do it whole day long; they did not carry me pointing on the menu.. 5) This was all done by manager Bri; who did not care.. There's so many other beautiful places in town, but if you must go, take a good look at your bill!

Yelp
If you are expecting good food, DO NOT COME. It's horrible, unless you like Costco food. Food was also served cold. Music:: Orquesta Borinka, late 2 hours. I'm a local and I will never recommend this place. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. PS. Mans bathroom with no running water.

Yelp
This place is truly a hidden gem. This was my first time trying Peruvian food & I loved it. From the outside it doesn't look like much. It's located in a strip mall. Inside there's a bar and quite a few tables. Our sever was awesome. We explained we haven't tried the food before & he recommended some of the most popular dishes. One dish that I probably wouldn't have ordered and ended up being my favorite was the causa del sabor. It sort of reminded me of chicken salad mixed with potato salad. I also really liked the bistek and ceviche. There's a lot of good options & always something new to try!

Yelp

Yelp
First time at El toque del sabor, and this is by far the best in town. We've tried a lot of Peruvian restaurants and love the taste and the service.

Yelp
After few years I comeback to el toque del sabor to try the anticuchos and it was a great dish with the good flavor of the original Peruvian sason! We also ordered 2 causas de pollo and we were impressed THEY WERE GOOD!! Will coming back Friday night to try the rachy .

Telu R.

Yelp
This place is a total scam, beware! They added gratuity on our bill for two drinks, a bottle of water and their $20 COVER CHARGE!!! You don't get to add automatic gratuity for two customers when there was no server so we had to go to the bar and then you charge it for your entrance cover too? The red wine was ice cold, the bartenders were taking shots of alcohol while working and the band ended an hour early. Stay far away!!!

Yelp
Peruvian food is what this restaurant serves! I arrived around 5:15 PM. The restaurant was empty, but I was greeted by the host. He was kind and asked me if I spoke Spanish. I told him I did not and he said "No Spanish and we both laughed! I was a bit leery since the restaurant was completely empty, but I took a chance to try the food. I started with a margarita and he brought corn nuts with sauce, similar to bread and butter, chips and salsa. I enjoy the corn nuts with the sauce very different for me. There was Spanish music playing very tasteful! I ordered the Milanese chicken thin, sliced and breaded and fried so delicious. I also ordered pesto pasta actually the pesto pasta came with two slices of potatoes garnished with a slice of boiled egg! The pesto pasta had a mild scuttle flavor and the chicken was cooked to perfection! I wasn't a fan of the margarita. It was just a margarita.! as I was leaving more people were ordering to go food and started to arrive. That made me feel better. The pesto and chicken cost about $17. The alcohol was 13. I'm very glad I got a chance to eat here. There are a few more items that I would like to try so possibly I will come back.!

Yelp
El Toque Del Sabor has flavorful food! No wonder they called it Touch of Flavor! The restaurant has friendly service - our waiter Junior was awesome. We ordered Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian classic. The execution was perfect. The steak was soft and tender, and not overcooked like most places. The sauce was amazing - even vegetarians will probably want to take a bite. Another dish I like is Aji de Gallina. It's kinda like comfort food to me, with chunks of chicken doused in a creamy sauce. The mussels are good too! Tastes like ceviche, but the Peruvian kind, so it's more tart and citrusy than other types of ceviche. The restaurant is always playing upbeat latin music that will have you dancing in your seats, but on Friday/Saturday nights they have a LIVE BAND playing latin music, so make sure to stop in after 10pm if you wanna get your salsa on! With a convenient parking lot (it's low car friendly too) in a HUGE lot just east of LAS airport, you'll find this restaurant on the east section of the El Super plaza on the corner of Tropicana and Eastern.

Yelp

Yelp
Primacy última vez. El entrante llegó después de Los platos principales. Y solo habían dos mesas en el lugar. El servicio FATAL FATAL
google avatar

Yelp
The best ceviche I have tasted, I was transported back to Lima to a tiny place called Punto Azul. The lomo was also delicious.
google avatar

Julianne S.

Yelp
Been here twice. I've had Tallarin Vede con Bistek and Arroz con Mariscos. They're both pretty good, and prices are reasonable. I just wish they had a full bar!
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
Food was great and it felt authentic. Atmosphere felt exactly like a Peruvian restaurant in Lima. Salsa was played on the background. Service was slightly slow at first but the food came hot and fast after. The only down is that the restaurants temperature was warm

Maria F.

Yelp
We tried the pisco sour, pollada chicken, and papa rellena. The papa rellena was good. It was crunchy on the outside and moist inside. It had the right flavors and the salsa criolla was ok. I wish they would have used the center of the onion for the salsa because the outer part was too thick. The pisco sour was more like a frozen lemonade- not made individually. They have a lot of dessert choices. Service was friendly and attentive. The music was good.
google avatar

Benjamin S.

Yelp
Absurdly overpriced sodas. $3.99 for a 12 ounce can of Diet Coke. The food wasn't good. The steak in the Lomo Saltado was over cooked and over priced. Do not dine here.
google avatar

Claudia S.

Yelp
The service was great and so was the food. We can around 4:30pm on a Friday so it was not busy. Everything we ordered was so good. We will be back for sure

Rose P.

Yelp
The food was fantastic food plate, presentable service amazing friendly. They are very welcoming. Amazing Peruvian food way to go..

Yelp
50 min for bring our food ... and then plate by plate every 5 minutes ... I don't recommend this place...
google avatar

Chanel S.

Yelp
We love this place, and the service is great every single time. We had it on one of our first dates and now with our 8 month old son. Service never changed, still great. You can hear the birds outside of the window, which adds something to the atmosphere

Yelp
Not really my kind of place. We really love Peruvian food but enjoy a more casual setting. It's decent but not phenomenal. The waiter we had was very friendly. Music is a little loud for a casual dinner but it was not blaring. They bring out homemade corn nuts and 2 different salsas. Sorry but for me, I was not crazy about the sauces. Corn nuts were interesting but not really flavorful. Our friends kid seemed to really like it though. The muscles on the appetizer looked really nice and fresh. Our friend enjoyed his plate. Our other friend had a pesto soup. It was tasty & while it took a moment to be cooked, it was obvious it was cooked to order. My child ordered the grilled chicken plate. He really liked the spices on the chicken. He said there wasn't much dressing on the salad but it was premium spring mix with spinach and very fresh. He really liked the rice. Fries were pretty being crisp on the outside and soft on the inside but he said they lacked a bit of flavor. Overall the food was decent but a little on the pricey side for our taste. I'd rather go have my huge salad and fully cooked 1/2 chicken and incredible green sauce I could drink at our regular Peruvian spot. This place seems fun for dancing and live bands on certain nights though. Hope you enjoy if you go.

Cesar R.

Yelp
My friend brought me here, and omg the food is so good! The drinks are great as well. Good service

Yelp
Great authentic Peruvian food, the best one I've had so far in Vegas. The service was great, very attentive waiters, and the ambiance was awesome great salsa music.
google avatar

Irma P.

Yelp
Great food and service I like the pescado ceviche I wanted a dessert picarones but the one I like only weekends other than that all good and tried the 3 leches cake which was also great

Jeanette S.

Yelp
La comida estaba muy rica. Pero el servicio estaba horrible. Siempre Vengo desde California a este restaurante pero creo despues de hoy no volvere jamas, la chica era muy ruda!!!.
google avatar

Margarita M.

Yelp
I give this restaurant a 5 star for the food. It was the first time eating there. The music is great. No band when we went. I was invited to a birthday party and we were never told that there is a $10 cover charge for eating there! Anyway, it was removed and only charged for the food and drinks. This is more of a nightclub atmosphere. I guess later in the evening it does turn into a nightclub and that is a why they want to charge...to dance. The Peruvian food here was great and attentive service from the staff. All in all. I guess only on a date will I go back and pay $10 to get in for dinner and dance
google avatar

Nichole C.

Yelp
Well, when I pulled up to the restaurant the outside lights weren't on so I wasn't even sure they were open. When we walked in they were having family meal which was nice to see, I don't blame them it was empty. I normally go to Peru chicken down the street but we wanted more restaurant style than casual. We ordered the Lomo Saltado and the Aji de Gallina. Which are our normal go tos when eating Peruvian. The corn nuts are automatically my favorite. The lomo beef seemed old which was a little off. The aji was actually good but I hate to say I've had better. But their salsas they give you had amazing flavor. I'm guessing the weekends they're packed since they have a stage with instruments. I can't say I would come back but you never know!
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Went to this place for date night because another Peruvian place was closed. But let me tell you what a beautiful accident this restaurant was! Everything we had was magnificent!!! And the ceviche de pescado was my favorite! My wife said her bistec tasted exactly like her grandmother's which made me SOOO happy! Cilantro rice was so good I couldn't stop eating it! Bravo!!!!! We will be returning again very soon, as El Toque has now joined the rotation of restaurants that we often frequent.

Karla V.

Yelp
La comida es excelente y el trato del mesero es el mejor un ambiente familiar y tranquilo

M D.

Yelp
We found this restaurant years ago and have been loyal everytime we have been in Vegas. The last two times have not been the best experience. The food quality is still good but the service and customer satisfaction lacks. There is always one person working the counter and tables. I was given a card during one of our visits by gentleman behind the counter for a return discount offering. Upon presenting it at the end of our visit the waitress took it to a lady in the office who denied it. The waitress said it was not initialed or signed by the person therefore void. How else would I get this discount card if not by someone in their restaurant? They entice you to come back then deny you. Will have to find another Peruvian restaurant

Davicito C.

Yelp
There was a man making obnoxious tiktoks on the restaurant's tiktok camera. Everyone in my party received their plates except for me. I tried someone else's green spaghetti and it was tasteless. As of now I'm still asking for my food and they keep telling me a few more minutes. It's been about 45 so far. Very disappointing for a Peruvian restaurant.
google avatar

Lani C.

Yelp
All the food and drinks here are excellent and service too . I wish they were closer so I could eat here more often!!!

Yelp
As I plan a trip to Peru, I'm craving the foods I hope to eat when I get there later this year. We don't have too many Peruvian options in town but I decided to take a pescatarian foodie friend for a dinner date here to check it out. We shared a trio of dishes and left full and happy. CAUSA DEL SABOR: A layered appetizer of mashed potato and tuna (or chicken), in the shape of a heart. Flavors and textures we typically wouldn't mix in the US but they harmonized well in this dish. CEVICHE MIXTO: Served on a decorative, fish-shaped platter, this dish is well portioned for the $20 price. The mix of fish, octopus, shrimp, and crab was fresh and accented with sides of sweet potato, corn, and cancha (corn nuts). Get at least one of their ceviches when you come! CAUCHA DEL MARISCOS: In the fusion section of the menu as a "seafood fried rice", similar to arroz con mariscos but with slightly different seasonings and preparation. This was good and paired well with our other dishes. Again, large portion for the ~$20 price. Due to the pricing and portion sizes, I'd recommend this more for a group than for a date night. They do also have breakfast specials and weekend-only specialties. I'm in the area for work occasionally and look forward to coming back for the lomo saltado. NOTE: They have live music and salsa dancing on Saturdays, and our server said they book up in advance. I like to be able to have conversation when I dine, so this is a deterrent for me but YMMV.

Antonia C.

Yelp
Chicken saltado was Luke warm and aguadito de chicken was very very salty. Place is run down and service slow. Bathroom was filthy. Don't know why they don't close the place down. Plus plates very expensive! Never go there again .

Yelp
One of the hidden gems of Las Vegas when it comes to authentic Peruvian food. There are other locations however they have become too mainstream and way too confident in their abilities to provide good service and quality food. Unlike other locations where they ridiculously over salt their food not entirely sure why either to hide spoiled meat/food or that the cook may have heavy hands, here at this location El Toque de Sabor, they lightly add spices as not to overpower the natural dish of fresh vegetables, fruit, and meats. Additionally for the price of items, it's well deserved and well suited. Other Peruvian restaurants they give you a kid's meal and expect customers to pay 20-30 dollars for a dish that won't suffice any hunger or satisfy any appetite, all of these Peruvian restaurants started from Humble beginnings, it's sad only a select few stayed true to their quality of food, customer satisfaction to keep regulars returning over and over again, and finally keeping within reasonable portion sizes of food to serve the customers. I mention this due to many different Peruvian restaurants in Vegas started with dishes at a reasonable price, however as the times have past their portions have shrunken and prices have soared. Finally, as for the interior and vibe of the location, its great for date night or depending on the schedule great place for group functions to watch a soccer game, and lastly small area to hear a live band and depending on the crowd may open up space for light dancing. I definitely recommend, and will be returning again soon.

Yelp
I'm a Mexican/Peruvian/American citizen and so I was very anxious and also excited coming to this place. After eating there, I can happily say this food was definitely worth the wait! Good lord it's good, the meat is cooked perfectly and the rice, French fries and everything else taste absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend that you visit this restaurant because it is damn good!
google avatar

Alejandra A.

Yelp
The ceviche was amazing! As a Peruvian myself it was great to have such an amazing meal. The location was something I wasn't particularly a fan of but the food made up for it.

Yelp
my wife is from peru and i havent visited there multiple times. This place is like being in peru. They have typical comida "criollo" dishes and its fantastic. The portions are big just like you would get at a nice restaurant in lima. Everything tastes fresh and is garnished well. Im so happy that we have a place we can go and eat authentic peruvian food and get a great value!

Alexa N.

Yelp
If you are craving authentic Peruvian food, this is the place to go! They have live music on the weekends. It's such a beautiful environment and it reminds me of being in Lima Peru : )
google avatar

Danna G.

Yelp
The food! The music! This dancing! The service! This place has it all. A sister had to google the entire menu. I am not up on the Peruvian Spanish dialect. All I could understand was pollo and carne. I believe my waitress figured that out and came over to offer a bit of discreet help. She was so helpful, she pronounced the menu items that I was interested in and gave a brief detail. She provided a few recommendations as well. We went with her suggestions. I ordered the pollo and my date ordered the carne...which particular ones, I am unsure, please refer to pics. My date was not a dancer so I did not cut a rug. Watching the couples burn up the floor was quite amazing. The people watching and the food made my entire trip to Vegas. This spot is not close to the strip so if you want some authentic Peruvian food and a good time you will have to travel!

Carlos L.

Yelp
The food in this place definitely deserves 5 stars, but the service is horrendous, the waitress who served us arrived with a super bad attitude, it took her 10 minutes to ask for a glass of water to serve us, she was never aware of us at any time and in the end when we asked him for some boxes to take away, he did not bring them and took the plates with the food, truly terrible service.
google avatar

Steven M.

Yelp
Generally speaking, the food was meh. The Chorros and the ceviche were pretty good. I asked for tallarin saltados de camarones and I got mariscos instead. At first he didn't even get my order.
google avatar

Alicia F.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing! I ordered the ceviche de pescado, and my fiancé ordered the lomo saltado, both were fantastic in every way. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Don B.

Yelp
First off, this is a Peruvian restaurant. The last music I want to hear blaring is rap. And that's all I heard on this Friday night. That alone is reason enough not to come back. Secondly, the Tallarin Saltado. They used fettucini noodles instead of spaghetti noodles. Not acceptable. Third, the papa a la Huancaina was tasty enough. But I had to ask for silverware after it arrived. Pay attention to details please. It's not like it was super busy. This is my 3rd and last trip here. I kept wanting to like it and I can't.

Maria R.

Yelp
The food we had was well seasoned and had a good taste. However, the service was not up to par. We didn't know we had to do a 10$ cover for a band and we didn't even get an explanation, we came around 9 pm on a Saturday. We proceeded to leave around 10 and when we got in the car I saw on Facebook that the band plays at 10 pm and we got no band for the 20$ we paid for both of us and just felt scammed, they should say that the cover starts at 10 instead of 9

Yelp
I am unsure of the food, because I never got it. But I had a very poor customer service experience. I placed my order through GrubHub, and the driver was great. They called me, but I never received it. So the driver left me a voicemail telling me to call them. I called twice and both times it would not go through. The driver went back so I can speak with them. They informed me they were missing the anticucho from the order. I informed them that is fine, and asked if they cancelled just that item or the whole order. Different people told me different answers. So then I tried asking in English and Spanish what the price of the missing item is so I can exchange it for another. They did not understand and just kept telling me that they do not have the item, even though I asked in different ways what the price of the item is. They finally offered me another item. So I was already tired and said sure. They then told me they cancelled the whole order. I asked them why? And they kept going back and fourth. After a while I said just cancel and refund. They then said they did have it. And tell me that the new item is a dollar more. So I asked if I can have the new item at the same price as the missing item. They tell me it is just a dollar. I tell them I shouldn't have to pay full price for cold food since my food is late. It took almost ten minutes for them to accept I want a cancel and full refund. They keep trying to tell me they already made the food and pay more, which is ridiculous to me (I myself have worked in the food industry, and we don't make the customer pay more for our mistakes). By the time I call GrubHub, the order is still active. To reiterate, the driver was good enough to drive back and spend her time waiting while I had this conversation using her phone since theirs does not work. I decided to have the order charged and fully refunded so that the driver still gets paid. Accept your responsibility as the restaurant and work with a customer who is willing to work with you. I will be sure to never recommend their restaurant due to their awful services. I have also attached a photo to show the on going issue of this order and an Explanation below on it relates GrubHub receipt to be refunded. To make it clear, my original order was $55. The restaurant decided to recreate the order, but with the same old and cold food. And they decided to charge me full price, even though the original order clearly states the discount. This goes to show the ignorance and neglectful ways of this business. STAY AWAY! Save yourself the trouble.

Yelp
Great flavor, clean place and amazing service. I'd strongly recommend you come and visit this place.

Yelp
Thank you for a flash of memories!!! Legit Peruvian food! Lomo Saltaldo 5/5 just like the 20 or so dishes of this we ate in Peru. Aji de Gallina 5/5 better than Peru- just because they add extra Aji Amarillo for more flavor. It was extra nice because the chicken is off the bone. I just wish the rice portion was bigger. Chaufa Especial 5/5 soo good! Not a common dish we ate, but it was very good. The best part?? Mazamorra Morada! Honestly worth driving here just for that!
