"This South End Mexican-Salvadoran spot is open late (as is its next-door neighbor and sibling restaurant Ali Baba, which is a dope spot for doner kebab and other Mediterranean treats). Try the ground beef burrito, and get some pupusas while you’re at it. Stay tuned for a new Charlestown location of Ali Baba that’ll also include some El Triunfo dishes." - Terrence Doyle

The service is absolutely lovely and sweet! What a wonderful experience we had! The owners are very kind, accommodating and patient with all our questions and the food was amazing, served warm and fresh! We tried the kunefe, burritos, plates, their cookies and everything was perfect and flavorful! The cookies and desserts are so varied, some light and some more rich, our party all had different ones and we all agreed that it was very good! I really highly recommend this place, from the food to the service, it was all so perfect! I'll come back again, thank you so much :)

Disgusting! I ordered two ground beef hard shell tacos with guacamole. The shells were completely soggy. The food was cold, stale and dry. Never again.

We went to El Triunfo because it had decent reviews about their food, especially their pupusas! We wanted cheese and cheese with pork pupusas, but they only had cheese so we ordered 4 plus El Triunfo salad. It was not worth the $43 (beware, the online prices are not correct), the pupusas barely had any cheese, they were basically tortillas, super dry even with the cabbage salad and sauce. The Triunfo salad was also horrendous, the meat was dry with no flavor, the pico de gallo was old and so was the lettuce. The only good thing about the entire meal was the falafel. Never going back there again. They are open late, so I'm sure most folks giving this place 4 and 5 stars are looking for a late night meal while drunk.

Think I was their last order of the night so they were PROBABLY RUSHING MY ORDER & I couldn't call the store buttt. I ordered 2 papusa, 1 tamale & I got 3 tamale😭😭 1. I rlly don't like tamales I was looking forward to the papusas 2. The facts that my food was rushed to me in 20 min( for better or worse ) but still 2/3 of the tamales were cold😭🥵🥵 means #notahit AND OMG NEVER SEEN FRENCH FRIES COME OUT A TAMALE BEFORE LIKE THERE'S ALREADY MAD...STARCH AND A SLIVER OF CHICKEN 🥴 GREAT DELIVERY THOUGH...GRUBHUB

Cleanest and freshest Mexican food in Boston. Everything I’ve ordered here is full of flavor and the service is incredible. The food is fresh and prepared in front of you and is made with good ingredients. It’s nice to find such a gem of a restaurant that has halal meat and actually tastes like it was made with love.

Cheap, fast and delicious! The burritos here are awesome, and the best late night snack in the area!

Stand Alone Complex

Google
Do not let this small location fool you, it’s hands down one of the best mexican restaurants in the South End. A good sized taco with everything on it is only 3.00$ plus tax, and the rest of their delicious food choices are pretty damn affordable too. Their fajitas and enchiladas are to die for. For someone married with a mexican with high standards for authentic mexican this is his our go-to spot, their stuff is the real deal! Late hours is a plus, it's one of the only good restaurants opened after midnight that isn't a pizzeria. Customer service isn’t the jolliest lol, but they arent rude or unprofessional either. Will be visiting yet again soon
