Boston’s Best Burritos - Eater Boston

"This South End Mexican-Salvadoran spot is open late (as is its next-door neighbor and sibling restaurant Ali Baba, which is a dope spot for doner kebab and other Mediterranean treats). Try the ground beef burrito, and get some pupusas while you’re at it. Stay tuned for a new Charlestown location of Ali Baba that’ll also include some El Triunfo dishes." - Terrence Doyle

Ali Baba Turkish and Mexican Restaurant to Open Near Sullivan Square | Eater Boston

"Located at 147 E Berkeley St. in Boston, I find El Triunfo to be a Mexican restaurant known for Mexican street food such as burritos, flautas, quesadillas, and tacos, and it also offers a variety of Salvadoran dishes; it too is known for being open very late (as late as 4:30 a.m.). It formerly operated a second North End location, which closed in 2012." - Terrence Doyle

The tacos were amazing. I want to go back for them. The burrito was pretty good although less special. I also got a unique custard-like dessert there that was fun to experience (although not something I'd get again personally). The lady who served us was extremely nice and efficient. They don't have any seating although there is a small counter at which you can stand. They told us we could go to the Turkish place next door to sit. I'm not sure if that's always an option, but it seemed the two establishments were friends and good with it at that time.

The service is absolutely lovely and sweet! What a wonderful experience we had! The owners are very kind, accommodating and patient with all our questions and the food was amazing, served warm and fresh! We tried the kunefe, burritos, plates, their cookies and everything was perfect and flavorful! The cookies and desserts are so varied, some light and some more rich, our party all had different ones and we all agreed that it was very good! I really highly recommend this place, from the food to the service, it was all so perfect! I'll come back again, thank you so much :)

No seats. Just a take out spot. The presentation isn’t pretty. But the flavor is there. It’s a pretty great taco place in the city. I’d come here again. I got the burrito bowl. I always appreciate when they do actual Mexican rice and not white rice!! Steak was great and a good cut. Guacamole was also great! I will say the pico de gallo is in huge chunks. Lazy chopping. Id also like to note multiple people recommended this place out of everywhere around.

Staff were very friendly and great when I was being served a note the place is really small it’s more of a takeout spot. I ordered a chicken burrito and unfortunately the chicken tasted bland my tortilla was heated and I ate it within 5 min of getting it and it somehow was cold and then it fell apart when I unwrapped it sadly would consider returning if I’m in the area not a spot I’d go out of my way to get

Service from the hunch back guy was horrible. I asked for a steak bowl. I got attitude from him. I ask for extra rice and your tell me that it's extra. Did I ask for your 2 cents? If I'm paying for it. Why are you explaining it to me? It's called customer service. How will you get your money if you treat people like they can't afford it? To whom ever runs that location. Keep the hunch back of Notré -Dame away from the front counter. Bring back the nice lady that served people with kindness. I left with no food by the way.

Got the enchiladas. They were very dry, very very little sauce and not nearly enough filling. The flavors were okay I guess but they just left a lot to be desired. A friend ordered the french fries as well and they were very bland and lacked any seasoning at all. A different friend had recommended the place based a good quesadilla they had there. Maybe try that if you’re going... But there’s definitely better Mexican food for the same price in the neighborhood over on shawmut ave.

Been ordering here for years. Best quesadillas in town! I refuse to get them from anywhere else. Ingredients always fresh and tasty

Halal Mexican/El Salvadorian food in Boston! Owners also have Ali Baba next door, confirmed halal verbally with the owner. Steak burrito is huge and pupusa was good :). Just be aware that this is mostly a to go place, no seating available.
