El Turco Design District

Love seeing small restaurants expand ⭐️ 2nd Floor near the food court. Living in this area I have been going to El Turco in Buena Vista since it opened. Happy to have it expand to the design district as it his area needed some more small easy dinning. Give this place a try if looking for something casual yet delicious while shopping! The food was good and the service even better. You can tell it’s still a bit new as our mains took quite some time to arrive with the lunch rush.

The place is very nice and located in a great area within the Design District. The décor matches the concept well and the atmosphere is pleasant. What I honestly do not understand is how Michelin rates or selects some of the restaurants on their list. In this case, there are no physical menus, everything is through a QR code, which I believe makes the experience less enjoyable for the customer. The service was not good. When we arrived, no one greeted us; we just sat down. At first, we thought we had to order at the counter and then sit, but that was not the case. The staff was not rude, but there was no real sense of service either. The food is good, but there is no wow factor that makes you think this restaurant deserves to be on the Michelin list. When it came time to pay, the payment screen offered tip options of 10, 15, or 18 percent. I selected 18, but then asked if the tip was already included, and the server said yes. They actually include a 20 percent service charge without mentioning it, yet still show you those tip options as if it were not included. This leaves a bad impression not because of the money, but because of the lack of transparency and consideration for the customer

amazing food and amazing service. presentation was gorgeous and the quality unmatched. so much flavor in every dish and so much thought put in to every detail. aesthetics and decor also stunning. would come here every day if i could!

Delicious Turkish food. Everything was fresh and the plates/silverware were beautiful. The burek was flaky and warm. Lentil soup was packed with flavor. Took a bit for food to come out, and the waiters were a bit forgetful/in their own world.

We came here with two kids and our dog, and everything was just perfect! The service was extremely fast and attentive — they even brought water for our dog right away, which we truly appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious. We travel to Turkey every summer, so we definitely know what authentic Turkish cuisine should taste like, and El Turco did not disappoint at all. Everything was fresh, beautifully served, and full of flavor. At the end, they even treated our girls with a complimentary dessert, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. The kids were happy — and when kids are happy, parents are happy too 😊 We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to this Turkish restaurant multiple times, including the location on 2nd Avenue, and I can confidently say the Design District location is on another level. The chicken shish was excellent—perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The döner was just as good, well-seasoned and clearly made with high-quality meat. Everything tasted fresh and properly executed, not rushed or generic. Service really stood out as well. Rauf, our server, was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you’re deciding between locations, this one in the Design District is absolutely the better choice. Consistent food quality, better overall execution, and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Absolutely outstanding. The sujuk sausages and omelette were a delicious combo. The service was polite and quick. The atmosphere at the design district is great. Just a fantastic place to have a nice, lazy brunch.

I had a bite here (just tabouleh and manti) on a quiet evening. The location and atmosphere are pleasant. Quiet enough that it could be a decent place to eat and hear the people you're with. A nice, fairly convenient place tucked away in the Miami Design District. It's up on the third(ish) floor, tucked away, adjacent to the posh bathrooms.
