El Valle Review - Midtown - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Finding a sleek and stylish restaurant in Midtown isn’t really a surprise, but there’s something particularly charming about El Valle. From the intricate black and white star-patterned floor to the emerald chairs, the Mexican restaurant dials up the gloss and dims down the lights. Toss back a Bonita y Mentirosa, a crisp and fresh tequila cocktail, as you decide between the light but flavorful risotto with scallops or the Mole de Ajo Negro, which reminds us of one of those generations-perfected family pot roast recipes. If an entree seems too heavy before you sit through a two-hour production at the Fox, their tacos are excellent substitutes. And since they're open late, roll in for another cocktail after the show, too. photo credit: Karen Calver" - Juli Horsford

Queso is straight up out of a bag from Sam’s or someplace that is Terrible. Guacamole came out almost black, terrible. So they bought me a slice of Avocado Runny beans , had to be from a can plus watered down terrible . Cheese enchiladas tasted like string cheese wrapped in a tortilla, enchiladas. Prices way too high for the quality of food. It he atmosphere was good except when the waitress started dragging tables around and slinging chairs to put to tables together. She looked like she was having a bad morning. We ate the food because we are paying for it. Don’t want anything for free and don’t expect to come back for another try. Pretty bummed out about the experience it’s so close to the house and was hoping it was more authentic Mexican food. And BTW this is my first ever writing a review that’s how dissatisfied we are. More authentic food right down the road.

I made a quick stop for a breakfast burrito to spoil the woman I love. Shortly after dropping off her breakfast, I received a text saying thank you and that it was delicious! My love was not left hungry, and that made me happy in return. Try the surprise burrito... it's the recommendation I've got for ya!

Family owned since 1991 here in Santa Fe fantastic food. Very authentic Spanish rice. The quesadillas were so tasty and the cheese was thick and stringy. Great, tacos also we would highly recommend it and we will be going back. Also they had a very clean restroom area decent parking, but I will say there are a lot of holes and uneven concrete out front so be careful. See you all next time when me and my guys go for a new place to try…..Lain

The lady who took my order was very friendly. However, I was disappointed when I got home to eat my bacon and egg tacos.I discovered they stuffed the tortilla with egg and gave me one strip of bacon per taco. That’s kind of ridiculous for a $3 taco. I will say the tortilla had a good taste.

Google
THE PLACE TO GO when you wake up in the morning hungry for REAL MEXICAN FOOD and the service there is like being surrounded by family members wanting to tend to you! TOP PLACE TO GO AROUND this area! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you ladies for serving us!

Google
I ordered the camarones a la Diabla--which were made a little different than some of the ones I've had before, but they were excellent. Would definitely be stopping by again.

Normally I enjoy their breakfast burritos however this morning they were the worst I have ever had. They were filled with egg shells which made them un-eatable.

Yelp
Came by here yesterday and the food was really delicious. The torta with jamon was on point and also the gordita. Will be coming back to try out other stuff on the menu. And the service was also great. Usually post pics of my food but I was really hungry yesterday.

Yelp
The place looks closed down. It was 6:30 on a Friday night and the lights were turned off and not a soul in the parking lot! Did they move locations?

Yelp
Wonderful find! Small down home Mexican joint open for breakfast and lunch. We ordered the Surprise Burrito with a side of rice and hubs got Migas with side of rice. Both were excellent. Just good tasty authentic Mexican food. The salsa is a nice peppy one with largely finely chopped serranos. Excellent! Came after mass on Sunday and it was not crowded but was packed earlier when we drove by!! More folks rolled in while we were there including to go orders. Will come back and try a lunch entree soon. Service is attentive and bustling. Nice homey vibe.

Yelp
I enjoy breakfast at this local Mexican restaurant. Their surprise burrito has egg, potatoes, bacon, egg and cheese wrapped in a medium sized four tortilla. The service is good and my call in order was ready in 5 minutes. A larger and thicker tortilla would make this a top burrito in the area.

Yelp
Great food great staff. Fast and hot. Recommend for anyone. Best Tex mex in town. Santa Fe strong

Yelp
The best huevos rancheros ever! They also have great hard shell tacos that comes with rice and beans. Very good service as well.

Yelp
This is a little hole in the wall place but I have loved almost everything I have eaten here. Today's trip I had Gorditas with ground beef. Their rice is amazing and so at re the regrows beans. Waitress was very polite and attentive. I would have given 5 stars except for the chips and salsa. Even though the salsa had a great taste it was way too thin. The chips were tasteless and sorta stale.

Yelp
This is my new favorite Mexican place. It's homemade and always good. It's a little unique for this area in that most home cooked mexican food is not Tex mex. this place is Tex mex but not out of a box like most of the Tex mex chains.

Yelp
Crap. Absolute crap. The waitress was rude, my order was screwed up and this isn't even legit Mexican food. The beans are watery and very bland. I can tell they don't wash thier lettcue. I DO NOT recommend this place. If you're starving... Keep driving. It isn't worth the stop. I wish I would have listened the previous reviews.

Yelp
There's apparently los of changes service was good I can't complain if was a tad slow staying at first but it was made up for it at the end on its own we did not have to say anything. Service was good and salsa was good and spicy just enough nothing crazy but a good enough zing. Ladies were all nice there and food came out prepared in a timely manner I would definatly go back. Its good average food. Good portions. Woukd be great if they we not so stingy with the bacon I had to ask for extra to have enough for the taco/burrito I had.

Yelp
Love the surprise burrito. The salsa it comes with are delicious. We always get it to go and have never had any problems. They have Mexican Coca-cola as well.

Yelp
Best breakfast burritos in this area. Cheap & fast. Thier cashier staff could use a little training in customer service with a smile. Other than that, good place.

Yelp
If it was optional to leave 0 stars then I would. Do not order the "queso", it's made from Easy melt cheese. I know this because I asked. The beans are bitter and somehow taste like black eyed peas. The chips were stale. The overall service was bad, and there was a total of maybe 10 people there. The only thing that's any good at this place is the "Surprise Burrito." On top of all of this we had to leave and go somewhere else to order dessert. We did this after waiting ten minutes with no service! All in all I would never recommend it.

Yelp
Everybody comes here for the surprise burrito. Surprise! It's mediocre at best. It's better than the service though. Every server I've encountered there is super rude. The food is pretty bad and basically comes from a can. I suggest going up the road to the Santa Fe La Frontera and spend your money there and get great service and food.

Yelp
Love this place. The food is good, especially their ranchera sauce and you cant beat the prices. My fav's are the beef burrito supreme and chicken soup but then again, everything is good.
