"Eldy Prado serves childhood favorites of fresh fish, seafood, and tacos inspired by his hometown of Jalisco at his food trucks parked next to two of Vancouver’s best breweries — Fortside and Vice Beer. Standouts include mahi mahi tacos and the El Gobernador taco with shrimp, mozzarella cheese, chipotle aioli, and fresh cilantro in a grilled crispy, cheesy tortilla." - Rachel Pinsky

Amazing food. They definitely load the tacos up and get good bang for your buck. New favorite Mexican spot. Got the birria cheese cheese, fried rockfish taco, birria taco, and shrimp taco. All were really incredible.

El Viejon serves up tasty tacos & other Mexican food, quick & friendly. They have several trucks but we were really impressed with the one outside Fortside Brewing in Vancouver. Evelin took excellent care of us. Very generous tacos for $4.00. Try the al pastor with cilantro, red onion & pineapple. Inside, Thaddeus will serve you the right beer for the right food, and right time of day.

Easily the best Mexican food in the area, although somewhat pricey for a taco truck. Their tortillas look hand-made, and are exceptional. I like the Crispy Fried Rockfish tacos the most. Aside from the incredible food, the location is crap - stuck between auto-shops. There is a decent little beer-hall (separate business) next door that lets you eat your tacos there if you buy a beer, otherwise you’ll be eating in your car (or even worse, standing in the cold.) Also, for whatever reason they are *very slow* to get your order out, so expect an unusually long wait for a food truck (~15 minutes, or more if there are orders ahead of you.)

El Viejon is a quality Mexican food truck. Their ingredients are top-notch. They have a broader range of tacos than any truck that I've seen. They specialize in fish tacos. But they have plenty of beef, pork and chicken as well. The gal who took my order was very friendly, sharp and spoke perfect English. I tried three tacos: carne asada, al pastor and quesabirria which comes with a dipping sauce. It was my favorite of the three. They have three salsa choices: Verde, rojo and habanero. I went with habanero the first time. It's rather creamy and not super spicy. I like the roja better. The truck is next door to Vice Beer and have a relationship with them. You can sit inside their brewery there's also an outside patio. It's good food but it's rather expensive. The carna asada and al pastor for $4 each. The quesabirria was a whopping $5. My three tacos were $14.30. To be fair, each taco was a good size. On my second visit I tried their burrito. I like the tacos better. The truck is in a very packed industrial park. Parking can be a challenge. Check out my profile for more great eateries in craft cocktail bars. ✌🏼

Wow!! Amazing tacos, very very good. And the tacos are huge, full of deliciousness. The young man who took our order was very friendly which is always appreciated. 👍🏼I’ll definitely be back again & again & again.

This place is so authentic!! Best Mexican tacos and seafood tacos!! Eldy the Chef has lots of experience in Mexican food specially seafood. His al pastor tacos are so delicious and they do put pineapple which is a 10+ for me! Real authentic Mexican tacos and seafood tacos! Just be careful with the spicy salsa lol and please don’t forget to get a beer next door with a Mahi Mahi taco

Seriously the best tacos I've ever had. Perfectly authentic and delicious. Try them all! My new favorite is the fried oyster taco! The sauces compliment nicely for a little spice. You can grab a beer at Vice next door too. A++

unfortunately I ended up waiting 30 minutes for 2 burritos on a non busy day at least one other couple before me sitting down,I’m sure they had online orders like the clerk had mentioned but if your looking for a quick pick me up this is not it.my burrito had sooo much rice in it I’ll give it another try and update my review then,I’d love to try the shrimp empanadas.
