A Surprising Culinary gem with a View!
With a name like Elaine's Cocktail Kitchen, we were anticipating a great bar scene but we were pleasantly surprised to discover the wonderful dinner venue they offer. The setting is absolutely beautiful, located right downtown with a fantastic view of the old, iconic water tower, creating the perfect ambiance for a special night out.
We started the evening with cocktails while we perused the menu. For an appetizer, we chose the Caviar and Chips, which was a delightful and luxurious start to our meal.
For the main course, I ordered the 6 oz Angus beef filet with blue cheese butter. It was an excellent cut of meat and cooked to perfection. The filet was accompanied by delicious crushed marble potatoes and fresh tomato salad, which complemented the rich steak beautifully. My wife had the blackened salmon, served with corn pudding, quinoa, blistered tomatoes, and a vibrant basil pistou. She was equally impressed with her dish.
The entire experience was elevated by the 5-star service. Our waitress, Gracie, was wonderful attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel perfectly taken care of all evening.
Don't be fooled by the "Cocktail Kitchen" in the name; while the drinks are great, the food is the true star. We highly recommend Elaine's for an outstanding dinner experience. We will definitely be back!
