Elaine's Gourmet Chinese Food just opened up a couple days ago in Alameda, and we've been waiting ever since we saw the sign painted! The food there was absolutely delicious. We ordered honey walnut shrimp, shrimp fried rice, shrimp chow mein, and spicy chicken wings. Before taking our order, they opened up each container to show the food and make sure it was exactly what we ordered. The spicy chicken wings were definitely very spicy but I think they added extra peppers since my partner asked for them. The honey walnut shrimp was so tasteful and came with lots of shrimp! The shrimp chow mein was one of the better flavors I have tasted, a perfect savory and sweet taste. We will definitely be ordering again and are so excited about the opening!

I was looking for chow mein with thick noodles like a place i ate at in nevada. I googled and found this place through yelp recommendations. I enjoyed my chow mein so much and it was plentiful for the price! I see myself being a regular here. :-)

I had a bad experience. My online order was not processed properly. When I went to pick up, the items I wanted to order were not available (no chicken). It seems like they are not able to handle the demand at this time. Too bad! I wanted to try.

Amazingly good Chinese food in the heart of Alameda. Fresh ingredients and great preparation.
