Elbet Steakhouse

Service was good and the staff were attentive despite how crowded the restaurant was. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The cooking levels were inconsistent—four medium-well steaks arrived rare, while a medium steak came out well done. The tomahawk and Dallas steak were very chewy, and the New York cut was noticeably dry. Overall, the quality did not justify the price, making it poor value for money.

If you want to experience real Istanbul hospitality, you have to try Elbet. It is a true local butcher restaurant where the quality of the meat is second to none. The atmosphere is vibrant and the service is just amazing. A special thanks to the manager—he is fantastic and makes everyone feel welcome. If you go, you definitely need to meet him! It attracts a great clientele and feels truly authentic. Highly recommended!

The best thing is the chips! I was so disappointed in the food and service. My Dallas steak was t cooked properly as I asked Medium Well. My husband ordered the Tomahawk. Both steaks were old or bad quality the steaks were very chewy. I left most of my steak and my husband left half his one. The dried onion flower was so bad that we returned it and the restaurant insisted to serve another better one. The second one was as bad as the first we didn’t even touch it! The surprise is that they included it in the bill in addition to two other starters they served us at the beginning which we didn’t order. We thought they were complimentary so we didn’t object. We had the bill including these two started we didn’t order plus the fried onion, when we explained to the waiter that we are not paying these and we explained why, he brought another waiter and the manager. They all seemed angry talking in Turkish and we didn’t understand what they said but we got uncomfortable. They removed the three items from the bill. The ambiance was nice specially outdoor but not in summer at all. We were family of four 3 adults and 2 teens paid total around 4000 Turkish Lira soft drinks and 2 bottles of water worst steakhouse experience!

Incredible little gem! One of the best steakhouses I have ever visited. Will be back for sure 😍

The only downside is that they are not precise at all with reservations—we had to wait a good 30 minutes past our booking time, and since there’s no real waiting area, you’re left standing either in the middle of the restaurant or out on the street, which isn’t ideal. That said, once you’re seated the experience more than makes up for it. The meat selection is absolutely top-notch, with plenty of cuts to choose from and local flavors worth exploring. The staff is very warm and welcoming, even if English isn’t their strong suit, so don’t hesitate to ask for their recommendations. The atmosphere overall is casual, lively, and friendly, making it a place you’ll likely want to return to despite the initial hiccup.

Literally the best in town 💯 Starting from the fresh meat to the variety of great desserts The place is very clean (they even give you toothbrushes and dental floss when you enter the toilet ) I can’t come to Istanbul without a visit to elbet The atmosphere is just really nice also the owner of the restaurant and the staff are super friendly ! The quality of the meat there is on another level I would definitely recommend it to everyone I know!!!! Seriously 10/10!!!

Starters are ok. They put food on your table- if you do not refuse- they charge you. Steak came rare - we asked for medium. One dish was different- they said we should try it. Bill came overcharged...they fixed it. Not sure I can recommend. A friend who took us said they're usually better...
