Stopped in on a hot 100 degree day for a snack and found a cool dining area with lots of TV's and many seating choices. Cheeseburger with onion rings was just the ticket! Plus a glass of ice cold beer from the tap and I was very satisfied!

Great place for after work, late night hang out. Service is great, waitresses and bartenders are super cool and not always up in ones business. Good group place. Nice drink selection. Had my favorite Don Julio 1942 on the rocks.

Came here for Taco Tuesday. The Carnitas is where it's at but didn't get a chance to eat the fish tacos. Prices are slightly more than they should be for street tacos but if you live nearby it's a nice place to check out.

This is a decent neighborhood bar, people feel comfortable enough to come join you at your patio table to chat you up about your dog (we brought our chocolate lab here). The food was ok, appetizers are almost the same price, sometimes more, than entrees. Drinks were also ok, we got a margarita and a beer and neither were something to draw you back here. If you're looking for a good place to meet other locals this is your place just don't expect super fast service or amazing food/drinks. I'd like to try this place again on another day other than Sunday afternoon to see if this is the norm...

Super nice bar! Open space all around, has an outdoor area with fire. Pool table and pin-ball. Drinks are good they have a good Monday happy hour and on Tuesday. Also good food.

This was my third time at the establishment, my first two times were decent the food was okay, but I really liked their Turkey burger, so I came back tonight to get the turkey burger. Well after my friend and I ordered our food I could see the cooks in the back shake their heads at what the waitress told them. We waited for 30 mins with no food. We ordered a turkey burger and the dirty bird sandwich. It should not have taken 30 mins. The waitress never introduced herself or I would of put her name down. I watched the cooks in the back and I saw them sweeping, cleaning, and texting.. others had received their food. This was a horrible experience. Didn't even ask to speak to the manager ... Didn't want whatever they had to offer.

I came here with co-workers, it was packed but still was able to find a place to sit. Our waitress was attentive and always kept checking up on us. The food, especially the fries were so good. The patio was very nice and clean. The only thing is that it gets super hot if you sit in the back. They need to turn on the AC more often

Came here to play pool, they have awesome diamond tables . The service is amazing. Our server was on top of things and very nice. The food was very good. Perfect trio: service, food and great tables, what else can you ask for. Highly recommend,

Been here a couple times. they updated the place so it's a lot more seating. TVs all around so you can catch which ever came you wanted to see. Wings are crispy and good. The bartenders make pretty good drinks as well.

I love the improvements made since Jolly Joker. The place is so much brighter. Televisions lining all of the walls. Those weird chairs are gone, a total of 4 pool tables now. Changes to HH and the regular menus. Nothing major. I haven't had any issues with customer service others have complained about. I like that it's close to work, easy for a group to meet up.

Wings were decent, beer was good, shit was expensive but the service was great! This place has been through 3 name changes in a short time and it shows inside and out but I have no real complaints and I'll be back.

This place use to go by a different name (Elbow Room), so I didn't know what to expect. Well, I was pleasantly surprised that it had become better than the times I was here some time ago. Everyone was having a great time, and all three pool tables were in use (pay by the hour). I was there around Happy Hour, so I just enjoyed some ice cold drafts. As for food, after much deliberation, and talking with the bartender, and manager they convinced me on the Parm/garlic wings! What a great decision! They were crispy just the way I like them to be! Overall I had a great time, and will stop by again my next time in town.

This location has had multiple names starting with "Elbow Room" followed by "Jolly Joker" today now know as "Players". Nothing compares to the days of "Elbow Room" because of the food, people and nostalgia. "Jolly Joker" was a Joke!! It brought me hesitation with yet another change to Players. The day has finally came where I gave this new establishment a chance. I went back to the basics with a cheeseburger and wings. No frills, no fancy jams or sauces...just cheese on the burger and nose triggering buff sauce on my wings. I'm glad to say that ambiance and food finally back to the days of "The Elbow" I'll be back for more.

I was in there earlier today and was immediately greeted by Ashley! She knew what I was drinking and had my drink poured by the time I sat down! I keep coming back for that great service!

So glad these guys came back to Clairemont. Revamped the place and de-cluttered the craziness. They added more pool tables and are back in business. Happy to have a respectful local bar we can be not embarrassed to bring our customers that come to visit San Diego too.

Came to this establishment due to change in ownership. This place used to be Jolly Joker and the reason I stopped going to Jolly Joker was due to the service. Unfortunately, this place kept some of its horrible bartenders. I came here last night with a friend. The bartender, ASHLEY, initially greeted us and gave us menus but took forever to take our order. The owner had to tell her 3 times to help us (I saw him motion to us and Ashley looked at us but went to help other customers). When she finally took our order, she got my order wrong. Additionally, I bought another customer a drink since he paid for a game of billiards. However, Ashley charged us not only for his beers but also for his double shot of Hennessy and for the rest of his tab which I didn't mind because he bought us a round of drinks that Ashley put on my tab. It's safe to say I will not be coming back to this establishment again. The bartender sucks and the drinks are way over priced for a sports bar.

Drinks are way overpriced for the area. I come in here it was aroubd $10 for a beer. I'm trying to find a local bar to go out a couple times a week and have fun. This place here will make you sick to your stomach once they hand you the tab to pay . If this place ever wants me and my group back they need to get with the times and have an affordable drink option like a $4.50 beer at least 1-2 beers at that price like other bars in the area do and stop gouging customers. They could easily make up for it on volume if prices are right more people would come in. But at this rate we won't be back

Had to come here because pool league. On a Wednesday. Usually locals bars have specials on Wednesdays. Not this place. Just for a domestic Coors light, which is not my usual preference, it was easy over priced. Not somewhere I'll go back to.

I have been eating here sporadically since it was Elbowroom. The service has always been good and seems to still be good. The food however, used to be much better. They removed some of the better menu items since Players took over and the food quality has diminished. I ordered a pizza and it was a french-bread pizza that is basically what I would make at home with whatever was in the fridge but was not near as good. Disappointed.

The food and drinks are overpriced ($10 for a beer) the happy hour is nonexistent and service went downhill. I use to come In for lunch regularly when it was elbow room/ jolly joker, the bartender just flirts with the men the entire time & the cocktails just aren't good. No getting a pool table any later than 5pm, they have some regular pool ppl that'll take up all tables every night. Tonight was my last night coming to this bar the service was beyond awful. I do not recommend everyone working here seems miserable. The old staff was better and way more productive.

My husband and I went to watch the Browns game. This place has been a Browns bar since it was the Elbow Room and then Jolly Joker. The gentleman we assume is the owner was very nice and checked on us more than once. We sat at the bar so our service was fine. We ordered pizza bread and lemon pepper wings. Sadly, it was not good. The bread reminds you of how kids left alone make food- barely any sauce and what tasted like government cheese. The wings were just weird. Hard to articulate what it was but they had an odd smell. They were at least cooked through. The ladies room could use some attention to make it much better- like new seats. It was fun watching a game without anyone cheering against your team! I would recommend eating before you go here. We ordered a beer and cider on tap so we have no say on other drinks. Lots of room and again, owner and staff were nice.

Love all of Mike's Players locations! Good food and great fun playing pool. The remodeling looks amazing!

Wings were great with multiple sauce options. Significant improvement from the Jolly Joker. Overall good bar experience over multiple visits.

Can't find a phone number to place an order for carry out. Very inconvenient for the neighborhood.

I love this place!! I'm right across the street and come all the time. Nea and Victoria are amazing. They always greet me with the best customer service ever. I used to come before they changed ownership and will be coming back because of the amazing customer service. Love the vibe of this place and will keep coming back for the service!
