Great corner bar with food! Had the classic burger - wife had the goat cheese flat bread. Would do again for sure. Guinness on tap is always good too! Nicolette was super with food and service.

Excellent mature atmosphere with great bar bites and immaculate cocktails. Not as crowded as nearby bars but necessarily a bad thing because you can actually enjoy a normal conversation and staff is not bombarded with so many tables to service. This is my go to bar when in Greenpoint.

Food was amazing and the staff was so nice and attentive. My friend and I asked out waiter David for some recommendations on what to choose. He suggested the Brussels sprouts and fried chicken sandwich which was amazing. We also had the fried pickles which were the best I’ve ever had. The Brussels sprouts come with some dressing on it and the blue cheese is such a nice touch of flavor. For drinks our waiter also recommended the rude mood drink which was very delicious (I love mescal) def get if you like mescal. I’ve always driven by this place so glad I finally stopped by will definitely be coming back for more yummy food. Also I would love to add that even the chef came out to ask if my dog had enough water. I appreciated that. 💛

I can’t believe I haven’t written this sooner after all our visits. Elder Greene is a true gem in Greenpoint. We have celebrated every huge milestone with Elder Greene and they NEVER disappoint. Food is amazing, drinks are superb and the staff feels like family. We love everything about this place and will forever speak so highly about it. It’s a can’t miss if you’re in the area!!!

My wife and I had our wedding after party here. Tali, Stephanie and the crew crushed it, all food came out quick and done really well, not a single speed bump along the way, they were fully prepared for our crowd. We are frequent regulars here and it felt good to have the after party with familiar faces and in our own neighborhood. I highly suggest Elder Greene for hosting your party or even a quick drink and bite to eat.

Enjoyed lunch at Elder Greene. The drinks and food are reasonably priced. I enjoyed the Popcorn Chicken, which in many places are over breaded, but not here. Here they taste fresh and have little breading. I wrote this review in 2021 and it is now 2022 and I have to say that Elder Greene has become my go-to place in Greenpoint. The atmosphere is laid back. The people working here, including the manager, are great. I've tried other dishes since the Popcorn Chicken. The Fried Calamari is 😋, it is not over breaded and the homemade Marinara Sauce it comes with, is amazing. The Chicken Wings are plump and juicy. Everything I've eaten here is 😋 and reasonably priced. I look forward to trying more of their dishes. Also the 🎵 playlist is always on point. I've loved frequenting Elder Greene in 2022, the food is still good, as are the prices. Management has changed but the new managers since I first reviewed Elder Greene are always nice. The bartenders are also very nice. I've also met very nice people here. I am looking forward to 2023 at Elder Greene.

Great neighborhood spot for comfort / bar food. We got the grilled chicken sandwich and popcorn chicken. Both came with super tasty side sauces which added quite a bit to the flavors. Would suggest this spot for a quick bite during the week!

Bar in Greenpoin. They open late but that’s about it. Not one thing I can name that was good. I don’t know where to start. We wait for a water for 15min after we order we waited for calamari for 30min and maybe it would all worth it but no. Beer was to warm. Calamari I shouldn’t call it calamari maybe more like gum with no flavor. Chicken sandwich was so dry not just dry bread but chicken was over cooked and not eatable.We was so hungry and $80 later we left hungry and mad.

Pubs aren't known for good food so perhaps I shouldn't beat them up too much. -The tater tots were overcooked to the point of being crunchy -Jalapeños popper's weren't that good -And the blackened chicken sandwich was cold. Service was okay, the server tried his best. The ambiance is casual pub, with loud rock music playing on the speakers. Im not sure I will return

Solid spot near the ferry. We got the buffalo cauliflower, which was fantastic. Also the Negroni (maybe could have been slightly sweeter, but still good) and the frose (like a very berry smoothie with wine). Service was good as well considering there was one guy servicing the entire outside section We sat outside but good to know that there's not much shade if you're seeking outside seating

Cool spot with indoor and outdoor seating and great service. They serve typical bar food but a bit on the healthier side. The Brussel sprouts are OUTSTANDING! The food was just ok for us other than the Brussel sprouts. Would totally go back because the servers, ambience and setting were great!!

Poor quality of food, and very very over priced. If you're a boomer and have no palette I bet this is the place for you! (The man next to me sent his food back too) (3's Brewing) The place across the street is practically half the price and has a better ambiance! Check them out, and get more for your buck. Their tots and pickle chips are I bought a burger from Elder Greene and it was 22 dollars and the smallest impossible burger. I took the chance and it wasn't even cooked all the way.... I asked to make it 'in n' out styled' and was told that they wouldn't do it. I was told I couldn't sit anywhere but the bar or a table inbetween a crowd. Even though there were 3 tables in the back that were open. The fries tasted stale and old. Do better Elder Green. Lower your wack prices and humble yourself.

My wife and I had our weddings after party here. We really wanted somewhere that was in our neighborhood that we frequently went to. The Elder Greene crew crushed it! They handled the massive amount of guests perfectly, no one waited long for a drink, all the cocktails were delicious, all the food came out quickly and we had a great time. 10/10 recommend!

I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun and chill dining experience. The tater tots and popcorn chicken were good. They were enough to spilt with five people. I loved our waiter. They were amazing.

Great vibes, especially for a dinner with a friend or date. Music isn't too loud so you can have a great convos! Waiters are friendly! The cocktails are incredible. The food is mostly average but still delicious, and the cocktails more than make up for it! A must go in the neighborhood!

If you are looking for a place to sit outside with friends and have a drink, this is a good option. I came here on Saturday at 4 pm and waited about 10 min for a seat. Pros: - lots of outdoor seating - service was nice - food came quickly The food was the only part that underwhelmed. We got the crispy Brussels, the beyond burger, and the Mac and cheese. None were bad, just none were that great - the Brussels were slightly undercooked and the burger was a bit underwhelming for being $19. That being said, seems like a popular spot to grab a drink and chill.

Plenty of outdoor seating. Social distancing is enforced, staff wearing gloves and mask. You order at the front door and they will bring your food and drinks to your table. This is a great place to order beer on tap and other drinks. The downfall is food. If you want to enjoy bar food this is a subpar place considering the neighborhood. We ordered the burger and fries which was ok. The burger has a nice sauce with pickles. The side of fries is mediocre. Do not order the the chicken poppers. It was such a disappointment. It was soggy and wet, over seasoned with their version of buffalo sauce. I would come back just for drinks only.

Pretty average bar, while the interior is pretty clean and nice to look at the service, food and drinks are run of the mill. Good place for a drink to meet up before heading out somewhere else for better food or drinks

Bar is n Greenpoin. Can I say worst place for food in the neighborhood maybe just for drinks nothing else. Very very dry calamari , coating is hard and no flavor. Chicken sandwich worst that I tried so dry and chicken so over cooked that's actually it's not eatable. Beer was way to warm. How about service 0stars and wait time " forever"

one of the best places in greenpoint! My friends and I got the frozen frosé, which was excellent! Their lemonade was splendid. Someone ordered the frozen margarita and was not a fan, I tried it. Also did not enjoy. We ordered popcorn chicken, a chicken sandwich, broccolini, and a vegetable medley. We all loved our food, it was absolutely delicious!! I can't believe I was enjoying broccolini on a Friday evening, but I would absolutely do it again! Staff was lovely, great little place, and I hope to come back!

Food is amazing. My new brunch spot. Avocado toast and salad is so delicious. I will definitely go back very soon.

Four stars for their outdoor dining set up. One of the best spots for casual drinks outdoors in Greenpoint. This was one of the few places where I was actually too warm in my puffer jacket after being seated there. They have 2 heaters per table which I think is the key, and you can even control the heat setting (1-3) at your table. I appreciated that the door was left wide open so there was still sufficient airflow (and not just an outdoor greenhouse). The hot toddy I got was a bit too strong for my tastes, but I heard rave reviews for their frozen drinks from the table next to us. The tater tots were nice - nothing to write home about but exactly what you'd want out of tater tots.

Nice little pub and decent bar food. Service was good and atmosphere was nice. Would return to while away some time.

We had a private event at Elder Greene on a Friday night for a "Welcome Event" for our wedding weekend. Tali was amazing in the lead up to our event answering all of our questions. The Elder Greene team was great on the day of, quickly serving drinks and constantly bringing out plates of food. The mozzarella sticks were such a hit, definitely add those to your order. The space was really nice, with ample room inside and then lots of additional space outside. We can't recommend having a private event at Elder Greene enough!!

A solid go-to spot in the neighborhood. Everything I've tried here has been very tasty and the kitchen is open late!

A friend and i couldn't find a place to eat after 4 of July fireworks and this spot was open. The popcorn chicken is so good. Fries are always fresh and crispy. I've been back twice since then and do not live in New York. Recommend for a quick bar bite snack.

This review is for happy hour only. Thought the food always smells good, so I am dying to try. I have been here twice for happy hour & absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere, super close to my apartment. One of the best margaritas ever (next time I'm asking the bartender for the recipe) at a awesome price. I can't wait to go back!!

I love this cozy place. The food is delicious! the Brussel sprouts and buffalo cauliflower apps are amazing! Warm and inviting pub atmosphere. But for the love of the wine gods, why serve $10-12 glasses of wine in a water glass!? Please invest in some wine glasses please! It is not cute or quirky to drink wine from a water glass.

Got the Buffalo cauliflower, was pretty good, spicyness level was on point. Service was pretty slow even with anyone barely though.

I stop by after finding this place on Yelp, during COVID-19 for take-out. Had sandwiches, wings, and frozen drinks to go. The wait for the food didn't take more than 15-20minutes or less. The food was filling and I honestly couldn't finish it all. The Frosé I had was really good, I'd definitely come back for more!

It's a nice little bar with decent bar food and ambiance. I don't really like most bars because I don't know. This one's pleasant.

2 stars for night service, and 5 stars for day service, thanks Brian. We love coming here. Their blackened chicken sandwich is pretty good. Not to mention their buffalo cauliflower, yum. We normally go in the day time. We sit at the bar, and Brian takes care of us. Do we need this, or do we need that. I don't know, like it's suppose to be????? At night, well, I guess since it's dark customers don't need service. If your in the food industry, YOU HAVE TO SERVE PEOPLE. A tip about the device that takes your orders. I asked for the check, the waitress showed me the device and said $64. I looked at her, and she said I will get the check, LIKE I ASKED FOR. Well, the check was $58.91????? WTF???? How do you show us one price and then give us another, what is this the democratic party????? Can't wait to for our next visit...

Good food, lovely decor but..... Sadly, the lone server is absimal. Her lack of attention is below standards & also the management of this establishment is to blame. Being short staff is no excuse to ignore the customer & even less have an attitude when asked to do the most basic tasks. The establishment was not full & it's the second time dealing with this particular server which lacks the concept of being a server. Unfortunately this reason, I dont recommend this place. With a little bit of consideration to the customer it can be average & it only can be achieved when the customer is thought of.

Just moved to greenpoint and already have been to elder green at least once a week! The goat cheese flat bread is my favorite with the buffalo cauliflower a strong second. The spicy marg or "get in the ring" really good also! Strong and tasty!

Good, but average sandwich (turkey). Waitress generously allowed us to upgrade from chips to fries (which were a teeny bit undercooked) for the same $. Prices are extremely affordable for the neighborhood. Nice people watching!

I only tried the Chicken Caesar Salad, it was delicious. The waitress was super sweet to me. They have outside and inside seating. I look forward to going again.

This place is really cute, well decorated and lit, has plenty of seating, and has vegan options. The bartenders and waiters are very friendly and hardworking. Unfortunately, the servers were extremely busy and forgot items we had ordered twice (a drink and a side). They were also out of the Impossible burger, so I ordered their other vegan item which was the bowl with chickpeas and quinoa. Man! There was no sauce, seasoning, or flavoring to be found. I ordered hummus to put on top to give it some flavor but it was equally as flavorless. I finally asked for salt and pepper which ended up helping out. Please season your food! Just because I'm vegan doesn't mean I don't have tastebuds. My girlfriend ordered a sandwich and said it was just ok.

My friends and I wandered in here after a night of drinking. The place was really low lit and quiet and I loved the atmosphere. I had a great sandwich and a very good beer. It was the perfect place for a nightcap!

Came here for brunch with my wife. Its a beautiful establishment and a welcome addition for just its decor. We ordered the brunch burger and avocado toast. For the price point, I expected a burger not a slider burger. The fries it came with were nothing special. The avocado toast looked simple and something the waitress made. We also had drinks a blood mary thats was also abysmal for the price. I hate to be negative but i hope ownership and management step up their game. Regardless of decor, I've seen businesses come and go and they wont last long with the current quality of food.

We stopped by after a condo showing. Staff was friendly and the vibe was awesome for a late lunch. We ordered the wedge salad add grilled chicken and an impossible burger. The wedge salad was hands down the best wedge salad I've had in years. I would eat it 4 times a week. Recently closed on a condo in the area and our goal is to be a regular here lol

Cool new bar in Brooklyn with great frozen margs and happy hour specials. The outdoor seating was nice to enjoy on this hot day with our frozen drinks as well. It was quite busy on this Thursday evening, and there was only one bartender but she did well at accommodating us.

The wife and I rolled up on the spot on a Sunday to do mad 2019 goal planning (forgive the diction, I'm a new dad). Anywho, I have to say it was intimate, good atmosphere, and Bryan (or maybe with an "i") and staff had exceptional service. It was our first time there and they made us feel like regulars. Non pretentious. Very knowledgeable. Good selection of drinks....and the music...very on point. PS - It's Bryan with an "eye" and he f***in rocks!

4 Stars! What's not to like! The quickie review is for the ambience, service and beers only. We came here one rainy day to get a few drinks. The service was quick, the beers were standard (but great), but the ambience was just perfect! Not too crowded and a good amount of space this place is perfect for a date or to hang out with a group of friends. Return? Will definitely walk in during the usual weekend strolls around Franklin st.

Cozy neighborhood spot to have a good catch-up with friends without feeling rushed or drowned out by noise. Had brunch here yesterday. It quickly filled up over the course of the two hours we were there. I had the soft scrambled eggs and sausage sandwich and hash browns. The eggs were perfectly cooked and delicious. I didn't care for the brioche bun (too big and fluffy) but the insides were great. Enjoyed the side salad and the hash browns were just as I remembered as a kid. I'd definitely go again. The atmosphere was really comfortable.

Very cute spot! Sunny and gorgeous outdoor seating, you can bring your dog! We sat indoors in a cute corner booth. The music was good throw backs and they have a long cocktail/beer list. Also would recommend the Buffalo cauliflower

This has become our new go-to spot. Great bar-type food, especially the chicken sandwiches (both!) Their cocktails are always spot on and never vary in taste like in some other bars when it's a different server or bartender for the night. I usually opt for their old fashioned and am never disappointed. Good for smaller groups. They have some decent sized booths for larger groups, but the place can get pretty crowded quick. Outdoor seating in the summer has been a major plus, especially if you pick the chair facing towards the waterfront around sunset time. Our pup is a fan, too. Decent selection of beers. Tbh I've tried all their salads but wasn't a fan. Maybe that was just me, but their other vegan options are enjoyable. The "Impossible Burger" on the menu now is a Beyond burger, I think. I'd advise asking the server. Speaking on servers, they've been great to us. Yes, the place can get busy and one lone server would not be able to keep up, which is sometimes the case. However, they've accommodated us anytime there's been a slip up or ridiculous wait (which has only been one or two times.) We love going to Elder and recommend you give it a shot too.

I ordered a wedge "salad" and they brought me half a lettuce (literally the whole thing without cutting it or anything) with blue cheese dressing on top of it. They call that a salad! And the worst part is that they did not clean it properly! I got a very bad food poisoning because of it. Not recommended at all.

Great music inside. Good tater totes, nice sour dough but there is where it ends. Cheese sandwich with little cheese. Wedge salad weak. Cocktail watered down. Expected more for sure but will explains other places. Also please note the service is very good.

I'm sad to give bad review in these times, but... going out is a gift I give myself not often lately, and this was an expensive and disappointing dinner (included drinks). Negroni is one of the easiest drinks to make, either they didn't do the right measures of the three different alcoholic parts or they have very cheap liquor. The burger had a very sad frozen patty, the flatbrad was ugly, covered in maple syrup. Good fries. Too expensive for cheap bar quality food.
