A short drive north brings seasonal tasting menus rooted in Kansas producers. Praised by local critics and beloved by diners, it pairs refined plates with cheeses from its own creamery.

WOW! This place has been on my list for a long time now, and this year I chose to come here to celebrate my 28th birthday. I’m SO GLAD! I’ve never been anywhere like Elderslie, it’s gorgeous. The farm itself is on beautiful land that’s filled with trees and meadows. The restaurant is an old farm house with the restaurant on the first floor, it’s beautifully decorated and modernized, with romantic lighting and beautiful furniture, plenty of windows, and it’s super cozy! It provided the perfect atmosphere. The food was AMAZING! I’m a huge foodie and when I say this place is 5 stars, I mean it. For appetizers we ordered the sourdough, cherry focaccia, and bone marrow. Yummy! Our meals were the pot pie, the short rib, pork tacos, and shrimp pasta. We had the sweet cream gelato and coffee gelato for dessert. Everything was so fresh and you could tell it was made by people who are passionate about their craft. From the moment we entered everyone was so friendly! It had been raining and the hostesses offered us towels so we could dry ourselves off! On our way to the table every staff member we passed welcomed us and said hello. Our server was named Regan (I hope I spelled that right) and she was so sweet, friendly, and well informed on the menu and the history of the farm. She made our experience so special and did an amazing job!!! The cherry on top is they have a little shop that’s OPEN 24/7 365 where they sell cheeses, honey, olive oil, pastries, gelato, and much more!!! How cool is that?! I was tempted to drive back out in the middle of the night for a new flavor of gelato! I would recommend Elderslie Farm to anyone who wants an intimate but exciting dining experience. I can’t wait to tell everyone I know about it!

Chef Katharine and her team's commitment to local sourcing, creating exquisite farm-to-table cuisine, and showcasing the best of the best from Kansas farmers, growers, and makers made for a one-of-a-kind dining experience that my friends and I cannot stop raving about! We enjoyed the Winter Chef's Tasting Menu including dishes like melt-in-your-mouth French onion raviolini, succulent barramundi (my fave!), warm saffron bread with whipped almond flavored butter (is there anything better than freshly baked bread?!), and more. Every dish delighted my friends and I, and we were blown away the entire time. The cozy and inviting atmosphere and our server, Emma's, impeccable service was the icing on the cake. We cannot wait to visit again in the spring or summer to see the blackberry farm, linger on the patio with fruity cocktail, and enjoy the latest tasting menu! No matter the season, an experience at Elderslie Farm is sure to surprise and delight!

First time at Elderslie and we will for sure be back! Absolutely delicious & reasonably priced. We loved the charcuterie board, sliders & ribs! The staff was also super kind and attentive.

Google
My wife and I brought my dad here for Father’s Day dinner - the experience was fantastic across the board and we will 200% be back. The food- Without exaggeration probably one of the best meals I’ve had in the entire region. The menu is seasonal and is curated by an extremely talented chef. Her team knows what they’re doing and it really, really shows in everything they make. The atmosphere- Think mountain cabin in the woods - 150 years ago. Vibes are impeccable, honestly couldn’t believe I was a few minutes from the chaos of Wichita. Definitely upscale and unique; really, really cool. Service- I will say it wasn’t terribly busy, but even so, our server was awesome. Attentive, helpful, didn’t rush us, made us feel welcome; and communicated clearly about every aspect of our experience. The value- Impossibly reasonable. I don’t know how they even turn a profit charging what they do - For upscale, top tier dishes, crafted by an actual chef who clearly cares about what they’re doing, I don’t know of another place that even comes close. Yes, there’s a 20% gratuity built in - just as there should be for a hard working staff that shows dedication to their work. If that’s what’s holding you back, I don’t know what to tell you. Support a local business and dine at Elderslie. You won’t regret it.

Google
This is an absolutely beautiful dining experience, perhaps the finest in the Wichita area. The tasting menu was artistically curated- fresh, local, truly inspirational. It wasn't just tasty, it was soulful and artistic. How often can you go to a restaurant with such balance, precision, harmony, and creativity? The quality of the foot is top notch, in a comfortable, un-imposing atmosphere. For those who love food, this is an absolute must!!

Google
We dined here and had the chef’s tasting menu. There was 6 of us and we had a great experience. The food was fantastic and each course was described nicely and the presentation was great. Our servers were attentive but also not too much. Drinks were good. They timed the meal nicely. We love long dinners together and this was an almost 4 hour dinner and the servers never seemed annoyed by us taking our time. We made sure to add extra gratuity to show appreciation. This is a high-end dining experience and we will definitely come back.

Google
Food 10/10. Atmosphere for dinner & brunch 10/10. Service 0/10. Maybe negative. They truly have the worst people/ girls working here. All not friendly. All not helpful. All very snotty for no reason whatsoever or truly just don't have kind personalities. This was not only to different customers, but even to some of the newer people working there, I can tell they were making them feel uncomfortable. It's mainly the girls that work the brunch area on different Sundays. And you are automatically charged 18% gratuity no matter what. Well, other than it being a serve yourself for brunch, their personalities or kindness wouldn't be making a dime. The dinner staff was a little friendlier but the service very very slow. Not sure who they are choosing as their hires. But they have absolutely beautiful grounds and properties and 10/10 amazing farm to table food. Please fix your staff here.

Google
Top notch dining! If you're looking to experience something better than anything else around, go here. An amazing culinary experience has the best 5-course dinner in the midwest. The chef here is truly a master. The flavor, texture, and appearance of everything were on point.

Yelp
Food: The food was very casual and gave hard farm to table vibes. Everything felt curated and intentional. I liked my drink and the small plates we ordered were delicious but slightly more expensive than I would normally like. The food was well appointed and it all felt very fresh. Service: The server was ours alone and she did a wonderful job of being available without making us feel uncomfortable. Honestly, her ability to do this was probably the most impressive thing about the whole experience. Ambiance: We sat outside so it was really warm. Be sure to make a reservation before planning to dine here. The folks inside seemed to be having a much better time of it.

Yelp
They charge you 20% because they can't pay their waitresses enough and I tell you this upfront can't understand why businesses don't pay their help proper wages

Yelp
This is a review on there fine dinning restaurant. This farm to table small restaurant is worth the price. With amazing food that is sourced with care and the service. Every course is unique and is described to you the intricacies details that went thru in making it. Defiantly an experience. Perfect for a special occasion as it is on the pricier side. Defiantly keep in it in mind anytime I'm in witchita and deciding where to go. Plus you must check out the creamery barn! I'm be visiting that everytime in near.

Yelp
I expected something more for the price. My porchEtta (pork roast $28) was not warm enough for my taste and was tough. It should have been served with a serrated knife or better yet, cooked lower and slower for a tender dish. the white bean cassoulet accompaniment was excellent as was the raddish slaw with pineapple vinaigrette. My husband chose the spare rib ($34) was a better choice though he found the chermoula (like chimmichurri) to be quite spicy. We enjoyed the mussels very much. My son chose the Sliders and was happy with this selection. We also shared a piece of chocolate ganache cake that was okay. I knew in advance that there would be a 20% service charge added but it takes some balls to still have a line for tip on the check as the service is not anything special.

Yelp
This is an amazing experience. Pricey yes but worth every penny for how thought out the menu is. Each course was absolutely full of flavor. The service was absolutely wonderful and informative about each course you were eating. We went around Christmas in the evening it was decorated and homey feeling.

Yelp
UPDATE: This was nothing like my first visit. We were sat in a tiny room by a cold window. Every table had a light over it except ours. The menu was not good. The scallops were extremely overly seasoned with an everything bagel seasoning. There was one less course than last time and we all left hungry. The service was the worst part. We didn't know who our server was. We were shared with a guy and a girl. The girl spilled water all over the table. Then when she brought out the cheese plate, she dumped the crackers all over the table. When the first course came out, the three of us were expected to split it. I asked the server if I had come by myself would I get the same amount and he said yes, but it's a bonus when you eat alone because it serves 4. Absolutely ridiculous. It took forever to get our dessert entree and it was filled with a cheap raspberry flavor. Also, my friend didn't take one bite of his duck because he wasn't feeling well and he asked for a Togo box for that and his eclair. He never got them. Money wasted. Evening wasted. As good as my visit was last time, that's how embarrassing it was this time. I built the place up for my friends and left disheartened.

Yelp
Disappointed that no activities were available when we got there. Everything has to be done online with reservations. The café was open so we decided to have an early lunch. The café itself is an outdoor covered area. Very shaded and very neat. Self serve drinks, a nice addition. The menu is small, but delicious. Ended up having the pork belly sandwich.!! Delicious! Perfect cook on the pork belly !! Interesting variety of vegetables on it. Highly recommend. Wifey had the chicken salad wrap. Ridiculously oversized. Can feed two people. Delicious as well. Great experience. Service was outstanding. Quaint and intimate location

Yelp
Customer satisfaction is the difference between perceived performance and customer expectations. I wish I could say I was satisfied with my recent dining experience at Elderslie Farm, but I was not. Either their performance was too low or my expectations were too high, probably both in this case, so shame on them and shame on me! Experienced family members had raved about this place so I was anxious to try it. I expected to pay handsomely for a very special dining experience. They certainly exceed my expectations with the final check (and it could have been much more!) but the only thing special about the rest of the experience was their Charcuterie Board appetizer - their cheeses are outstanding! Although the fireplace was glowing, the main dining room was uncomfortably chilly on this snowy night, but then, so was the food - not a single course was served hot! It doesn't take long to consume a tiny portion so there were long pauses between courses. There did not seem to be a single server in charge of our table. Someone handled the water and drinks and while others showed up with the meal courses. One member of our party had to finally leave the table to order a second drink. But the final straw was the check! I knew about the high (relative to value delivered) fixed price and the conveniently included 20% "service fee", but they also had the gall to add an open gratuity line. Seriously? I guess I would say dinner at Elderslie Farm is not my cup of tea! They can surely do better and I will be sure to stay away.

Yelp
I had dinner there for the first time and I was unsure of what to expect. I knew it was going to be on the pricier end, but I don't mind paying for something different to try. I was pleasantly surprised. The food presentation was perfect and while the portions seem small, we all got full! It was a great date night.

Yelp
We passed by and dropped in to see if they had Limburger cheese. They did not. They do have a selection if goat cheeses.

Yelp
Exquisite taste, lovely atmosphere, service is wonderful and top notch. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
I've loved their cheeses I'd bought before, I think it's the Ayre that was my favorite. I was very excited to try the restaurant. We'd gone there for my birthday and done the price fixe dinner. The dinner was lovely, the location is lovely, we sat in a corner near a gorgeous huge window. But for the price the portions were not very generous. Delicious but tiny. We debated grabbing a fast food burger on the way home. I still love their cheese and would love to go back to their beer garden set up, but I wouldn't do the price fixe again.

Yelp
Fantastic ambience, food, and service -- just stellar all around! My hubby's still declaring how wonderful his Linzer torte was! We took home some (from the shop portion) some terrific goat cheese and top rate charcuterie. Thanks to friends from Wichita who first told us about Elderslie Farm! P.S.: I can now honestly say now that we've been to a place whose name, apparently, is pronounced as "Key-Chye, Kansas." Hell -- I'm from Oklahoma and have been to Gotebo (pronounced as "Go-Dee-Boh"). I'm hardly one to freakin' talk.

Yelp
We might try it again at some point, but this experience was not good at all. We had a reservation and arrived on time. Our party of five sat down at a table that was already set and ready to go. Aside from fighting off the bees, it was a lovely environment and view. After 20 minutes, our glasses were still empty and not a single person had even said hello. My husband went to the host and asked if he could tell us who was supposed to be taking care of our table. The host apologized, said the waitresses were really backed up, and then said, "I'll just do it myself." We hoped things would turn around, but they really didn't. The drinks were fine but not great. We ordered three appetizers to share. The focaccia was good but the other two were just meh. The host asked if we would like to order entrees, but there was barely anything left on the menu to order. Having called the day before, we had been told of the truncated menu, but were told there was a special that would be available. No special was shared with us, so we opted to go elsewhere for dinner. I was extremely disappointed that for a table of five that had such subpar service, a mandatory gratuity was added. For a single drink each and sharing three appetizers, my bill was over $150. We ended up having dinner and dessert at another restaurant. It was a disappointing start to the evening but ended up being great. I don't know if I'll be back to Elderslie, but everyone else seems to rave about it, so maybe it was just a rough night.

Yelp
Lovely location and well organized. Good coffee and scones. Will definitely go again.

Yelp
We had a fantastic family birthday dinner at Elderslie. We made a reservation for the patio night but it rained so we were moved inside, but the ambiance was beautiful anyway. Everything we ordered was spectacular and very carefully prepared. The sommelier and server were very kind and informative, and helped us select the perfect pairings. One family member has a severe wheat allergy, and they cared for her needs attentively. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Visited here for brunch on a Saturday. Food was delicious! Ordered the breakfast bread pudding and beans and eggs skillet. Quite savory. Reasonable prices. Even though you order outside, the restaurant itself is very nice; appears to be a modified home. Being able to play with the goats was an extra plus! The creamery is a must do. The cheeses and froyo are phenomenal. Would highly recommend making a stop here when in town.

Yelp
We have had their farm to table dinner a few times and loved it. They are doing family meal take out during the quarantine and we chose to support them this weekend. What an amazing meal. It was easy and quick to reheat and the instructions were spot on, including throwing the cookies in the cooling oven to get warm and gooey while your family eats the main meal. While the meal was heating we nibbled on some of their bread (french boule) and goat cheese. It was so good. Our take-home meal was barbecue ribs, which were good enough to make me forget that I don't usually love barbecue ribs. The star of the show for the adults was definitely the wild garlic potato salad. Shout out to Sarah Jane for providing the mustard. I would pay a silly amount of money for a cookbook with that recipe. Literally the best potato salad any of us had ever eaten. The kids were utterly in love with the Mac and cheese and the dark chocolate chip cookies were a hit all around. You can't go wrong with the Elderslie Farm family meal. Please consider supporting this amazing chef.

Abby N.

Yelp
The goats are the stars! Love them. The cafe is excellent, just remember they do not take cash. The restaurant was a disappointment. The food was just ok and service was kind of slow. And then, the bill was amazingly expensive for what we got. I would go back to the cafe and to buy cheese, and of course pet the goats! Hope to pick berries too.

Yelp
What a cozy, inviting, delightful place for a romantic dinner! My husband and I went for our 5th anniversary and had a very nice meal with wine pairing. The food was so tasty, the wines were great, servers were very nice! We've been to several Michelin started restaurants and the atmosphere and quality here was on that level. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
We love Elderslie!! Yesterday my sister, niece, & my three boys had brunch there.. the biscuits & gravy was amazing & im so glad I finally got another Blackberry linzer tart in my life, . Can't wait to pick berries soon as well!!

Yelp
We've been getting Family meals to go. Amazing prep and packing. Potatoe soup; bread (OMG) salad and pumpkin roll. Knocked it out of the park

Yelp
I love it all ambiance, service and food a place to play for children animals to see horses as well

Yelp
Bramble Cafe is a beautiful setting for a Saturday morning breakfast. We had good service considering how busy they were. That said -- you might stick to their baked goods, which were all excellent. The hot items we ordered were only barely warm -- not really what you want with something like biscuits and gravy. Everything else was very high quality and we would go again.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
Every year we look forward to blackberry picking and trying delicious new recipes with them after! The cafe is so cute although the line can be tedious with little kids that are impatient but thats what you can expect if you go on a holiday-busy weekend. I should have known better haha! Great on most mornings for a nice scone and cup of coffee. We went to the creamery this year and loved being able to try and buy fresh local and tasty fromages. We still would like to try the farm-to-table dinners there that look fantastic! So much thought went into this place and you can feel the pride and love when you're there.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
I knew going in that this was going to be expensive but i was shocked when i got the tab. For that amount of money I expect to be blown away, by ambiance, food & service. Ambiance was nothing special. It looked like an old sprawling residence. We sat in a small room that had several other tables in it. The food was fine. The menu was either halibut or short ribs. We choose halibut. Obviously presentation is more important than portions. Our service was good. If you want to spend allot of money & you're not too hungry, in a different setting, then this is your place.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally. The goats get their time in the spotlight. Live goats are milked onsite to provide the foundation for all kinds of treats. (I don't think you can milk dead goats...) Goat milk ice cream! You must try it to believe it. Excellent. Then you have the fresh blackberries. So good. All kinds of baked goods made with goats milk. You can also pet the goats that made the milk that you are enjoying. This is a great place. FYI: I did not try the dinners, but they are very expensive (the dinners).

Rachel T.

Yelp
Always a fun experience with their wine pairing and multi course menu. Food has great flavors (although the steak was pretty chewy). Love their cheese and highly recommend staring with the cheese flight! The lobster tagatelle was delicious!
google avatar

Trinh N.

Yelp
We had breakfast and the farm is charming as can be. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Early mornings are better -coffee are free refills- that's a plus. The baby goats are adorable to feed. I suggest wearing gardening or rain boots , baby goats poop happens. I'm looking forward to the blueberries picking come summer. During Covid it's nice to be outside enjoying the sun fresh air and seeing children's happy faces running around!

Rachel V.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary, and it was incredible! The ambiance is like coming home. The restaurant feels cozy and inviting. The food was delicious, and I was impressed with the variety of food being that it is farm to table. The service was impressive, and we got some free goat cheese to take home. I will be back!
google avatar

Kevin M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. Every course was near perfection. Wine pairings matched well. They have a no tipping policy. Absolute must try.
google avatar

Joy F.

Yelp
Our favorite date night place! The takeout service each week gave us something to look forward to in 2020. Brunch at the Bramble Cafe is the best also!
google avatar

Ellie F.

Yelp
A fantastic place to visit from start to finish! I had breakfast at the cafe (they open at 8:00 am and it gets busy so go early) and it was gorgeous. I had endless coffee and biscuits & gravy which was 10/10. Not only was it lovely scenery but every staff member I encountered was so pleasant and helpful!
google avatar

Lindy S.

Yelp
It's small and quaint, but very charming. I went one night they were selling goat cheese. We were able to see the stables, walk the path to the restaurant, and see some horses. There isn't much to do, but the location is beautiful.

Danae M.

Yelp
Stopped here for our second time (first was two years ago) on our way home from Wichita. It's not terribly far off the interstate, and I just love the ambience and class of this goat farm/cheese shop/restaurant. The Bramble Café was closed already, but we got the lemon froyo to eat while our boys played at the small park. It was absolutely delicious. I will find a way back just for the lemon froyo. I also got blackberry lemon scones, smoked halibut dip, and a to go meal of chicken curry with lentil and naan. The scone didn't have a lot of flavor but was soft and tender. The curry meal was very good! Sadly, I threw away the halibut dip. Although I love seafood, the extreme fish taste was too much for me. Overall though, between our first trip years ago and this one I will be back. So thankful to have such a unique and wonderful place here in Kansas.

Yelp
We had the most amazing anniversary dinner last night at Elderslie Farm! It was delicious, a stunning and peaceful environment, and worth every penny. Their menu changes monthly, we can't wait to go back!

Bruce D.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience. Not sure what took us so long to get up here, but won't take long to schedule a return visit. Multi-course sitting where every offering was interesting/surprising and absolutely delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and engaging, delightful really. Don't miss opportunity to arrive early to have the cheese plate or charcuterie board to sample Kansas artisan delicacies.

Nancy C.

Yelp
The Bramble Cafe! What A delightful way to spend a beautiful spring morning!  Yummy muffins and coffee in the warm March sunshine, bouncy baby goats and CHEESE!  Kansas does not get much better than this! Dr. David and Nancy Cullen

Yelp
The best fine dining experience I've found in the Wichita area. Service, food and wine were all first class.

Tony A.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance and the service. Came in at the last minute after plans fell through and even though we could not do dinner Holly made the patio special for my wife's birthday. Forever a fan and can't wait to plan ahead and come for dinner to eat their food

Yelp
First time dining at Elderslie Farm last Thursday where the quality and presentation of the 5 courses transported us to the best fine dining typically experienced only in Americas largest metro areas, but in a typical Kansas farm setting. We arrived just a few minutes late to this reservations only restaurant due to unforeseen road construction, and were greeted promptly and shown to our table in the small dining room that only has 6 tables. The north and east facing walls had windows and the other two walls were blue but had no decor/art that might reflect the local countryside or owners personal tastes. Given that Elderslie offers a set menu with additional wine pairings per course for an additional fee, service began quickly with ice water, and our first course, compressed cucumber and squash puree served cold. Second course was a corn ravioli with corn dashi which was my favorite course. Third course was beets with sweetbreads and I thought it was also quite good, although my wife wasn't fond of the beets which are an acquired taste. Fourth course was pork ribs [2 ribs] and the meal was concluded with their own version of peaches and cream. The total experience took about 90 minutes, and the food was some of the best I've had in the Wichita area, but would like to see the dining room lightened up by changing the window coverings and adding some art or something to the other walls. With some minor physical changes to the dining area that allows more of the farm inside, it would definitely make a 5 star dining experience. We will no doubt be returning as the seasonal menus change.

April K.

Yelp
Their meal kits and charcuterie boards are fantastic! Awesome gifts for holidays, birthdays and more!
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
We went there for my daughter's 15th birthday. Restaurant asks ahead of the time if anyone in the group has any special occasion, such as birthday, or anniversary, or if there are any allergies, or preferences. For her birthday, my daughter got a sucker. Yes, that's it. Apparently with paying over $60 per dinner they could not afford to get tiny cake, or even small ice cream. If you have allergies, or any restrictions to any kind of food this is not a good place. They don't substitute anything. Good food, but definitely not the great.
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
Very nice experience this morning at Elderslie Farm. Rode up on bicycle from Wichita and arrived at a nicely shaded and beautiful orchard and farm. Enjoyed the sweet and tart blackberry linzer tart and a refreshing blackberry lemonade.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
A very unique, welcoming place! We did berry picking and spent 2 hours exploring the grounds. They have a cafe for brunch that was good. Loved the open, farm feel.
google avatar

Sherry J.

Yelp
We visited for breakfast today. It was quite good. They also serve dinner and you can purchase veggies, blackberries, goat cheese and much more. Yummy
google avatar

Suzie C.

Yelp
Such a fun place to take the family. The environment is comfy and relaxing and the blackberries are outstanding. I love visiting the Bramble Cafe and appreciate that there are some options for my Gluten Free diet!

Adam S.

Yelp
Only restaurant of its kind in the Wichita area. Dinners are a culinary treat while the staff and atmosphere make for an unforgettable experience. The highlight of our month is trying out their new monthly menu. We also love visiting the Bramble Cafe with our small children who love the food and surrounding landscape as much as we do.
