My Government-Mandated Quarantine at a Five-Star Hotel

"Every morning, Yanev woke up, made instant coffee with the electric kettle in his room, and headed to his balcony to chat with his fellow quarantined neighbors. Packaged meals were left at his door three times a day, and the food, he says, 'was amazing, fantastic even. We got souvlaki, fish, soup. If we wanted more, we’d just call them and they'd bring more.'"

Me and my partner (aged 25 and 21) were rather sceptical to stay here after seeing some of the more recent reviews of the hotel however we really enjoyed ourselves. Yes there are some areas that could be improved but the overall experience of the hotel was great.||Staff members were very polite and helpful. We stayed all inclusive which we thought the drinks and the snacks served from the pool bar was lovely. I think the food in the main restaurant could be a little better however we always found something to eat.||The pool was clean and the pool area was kept tidy. There was no "sun bed wars" and we managed to get beds together everyday of our holiday. We woke up at around 8:30am to put them down with no troubles.||Our rooms were cleaned every other day but this was our choice to do so however you do only get fresh towel 3 times per week. Our room was always cleaned to a very high standard and the beds made great too.||The hotel was peaceful through the day and the night, there was no loud noises coming from the corridors which meant we was able to get to sleep fine. There are also lots of bars/restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel and lots of shops too. The beach is only a 10 minute walk too which is ideal.||Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would go back again. If you are looking for more of a quiet holiday then I would suggest coming either earlier or later in the year as I think June/July/August it will be filled with young adults who will be going out late on a night and go to the strip then come back late. We went at the start of September and had no noise issues at all. I can imagine in the middle of summer it will get a bit louder but really I think this is to be expected when the hotel is only 10 minutes away from the strip.

Do not come here if you’re looking for a place to relax by the pool or sleep through the night. If you’re in your 20s, don’t care much about the hotel being clean and quiet - and want to party and play music by the pool, this is perfect for you.||As a young couple, we came here mostly intending to just sleep here, eat breakfast and chill by the pool somedays. Young people where playing loud music from their speakers every day, all day by the pool. If you wanted a sunbed, you had to reserve it by 8-9am latest as everyone were putting their towels on the sunbed in the night/early morning. The staff didn’t care, and just cleaned around the towels in the morning. The few soft sunbeds closest to the pool were comfy, the others around the pool was hard to lay on and many of them were pretty tore down with a dent in the middle which was painful for the back. The pool does not feel clean, it’s very cloudy and there’s tiny pieces of dirt floating around in the pool. It felt gross. Drinks from the poolbar were nice and cheap (5,50-6,60 euros).||Trying to fall asleep in the evening and through the night wasn’t easy either, as you can hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms - from normal conversations to blasting music and screaming. If people were talking on their balconies, you would hear it 10x louder like they were screaming right next to you. You can hear everything from the hallway with and echo, and people were screaming in the hallways in the night walking back to their rooms. There were mostly young people here, 18-25y so there’s a lot of noice.||The room itself looked nice, but the cleaning is not good. Your feet gets very dirty from walking on the floor, lots of sand/dust. The housekeeping made the duvet on the FLOOR, which led to the bed being full of sand and dirt. I could also see them doing this in every room from the pool looking through the balcony. ||The beds are just ok, very hard and thin and made our backs sore including our necks from the hard, thick pillows.||The breakfast buffet wasn’t much to brag about, the eggs were ok. The bacon tasted weird, and the juice was from a dispenser which tasted like syrup. The water from the dispenser tasted like soap. The coffee machine was the only good thing.||Luckily, we didn’t stay much at the hotel so the location of the hotel was perfect - bus stop right outside and 5-10 mins walking to centrum and many restaurants close by. Not in the middle of the busy loud streets, but not too far to walk to. Just wished the rooms felt cleaner and that you didn’t get waken up every night.

This trip have been a positive expirience… i did read alot about loud music and loud people at night… this is not true. The staff is helpful and nice, the room is clean, the food is good, not a Big buffet but everything taste good, different food every day.|Drinks in the all inclusive are good.|A little difficult to get a bed by the pool, the towel mafia is out early. |It is a few min walk to the beach, bed on the beach with umbrella is 5 euro.|I could come back to this hotel👍🏼

Lovely hotel but what is the score with sun loungers? No one seems to be controlling. Not enough for guests and people leaving towels down from 6am daily. So far this morning 30 reserved before 7. Here currently and it’s become highly itritating. Spent most of holiday going to the beach as a result. Staff should remove it’s a joke.

This hotel is over rated. The food was the only half decent thing we had whilst being here. The wifi only works in reception as they are deceptive in saying they have ‘wifi’ but if you read deeper into it it says only in public places (reception). On our last day, even though we weren’t flying until 11pm and landing at 1am the following day we were refused food, water everything as our holiday had finished - but it hadn’t. We were all inclusive. On our first day we landed late so didn’t get any food/drinks and on the last day we were refused everything also so we only had 5 days out of 7 of what we paid for. The room was filthy and we were only given fresh towels once. The pool was warm 24/7 and had horrible things floating around. There were not enough sunbeds by even half and you have to be down by the pool at 7am if not earlier to get a sun bed. Myself and the 2 others staying in my room have been made poorly from the air con because it is so dirty. The reception staff were rude and on our last day were calling the room 4 times to get us to check out at 11am - even though the check out time is 12. Over all for the price we paid for this holiday as a group we are heavily dissatisfied and over all not impressed. Will not be staying here again and I would recommend to others not to either.

We had a swim up room, a real little sun trap cone mid afternoon. Whilst this is classed as a vibe hotel it’s not overly loud or over run with younger guests. We had no issues with noise and had really good nights sleep. |The staff are exceptional and can’t do enough for you with a smile. Thank you for such a wonderful relaxing holiday

So… hotel is lovely and clean, food was fine! I have stayed in hotels with better food options but there was plenty of choice. The pool was one depth which was up-to my neck and I’m 5”7 so if you have children just be wary of this. It did get loud as lots of adults playing music or ball games. But this didn’t bother me too much as I have adult children myself. We had a swim up pool but didn’t like not being able to see out so they did kindly change us. The location is fab you’re not right on top of all the bars clubs and restaurants. My only down side was not having any entertainment in the day or evening, I enjoy watching volley ball games and aqua aerobics. We would definitely return.

Just returned from our second girls’ trip to Eleana Hotel in Cyprus and it was just as amazing as the first time! This hotel has everything we need for the perfect holiday – it’s clean, modern, in a great location, and has such a relaxed, friendly vibe.||The rooms are spacious and spotless, the pool area is lovely, and the whole atmosphere is just ideal for a fun, carefree getaway. It’s close to the beach, bars, and shops – perfect for days in the sun and nights out with the girls.||We also want to give a special shoutout to Shafak, who absolutely made our stay! He was so friendly, always had time for a chat, and brought so much energy and fun to the hotel. It wouldn’t be the same without him – a real star who makes everyone feel welcome.||Can’t recommend Eleana Hotel enough. We’ve already been twice and we know we’ll be back again. Thanks for another unforgettable holiday!
