My Government-Mandated Quarantine at a Five-Star Hotel

"Every morning, Yanev woke up, made instant coffee with the electric kettle in his room, and headed to his balcony to chat with his fellow quarantined neighbors. Packaged meals were left at his door three times a day, and the food, he says, 'was amazing, fantastic even. We got souvlaki, fish, soup. If we wanted more, we’d just call them and they'd bring more.'"

Just returned from our second girls’ trip to Eleana Hotel in Cyprus and it was just as amazing as the first time! This hotel has everything we need for the perfect holiday – it’s clean, modern, in a great location, and has such a relaxed, friendly vibe.||The rooms are spacious and spotless, the pool area is lovely, and the whole atmosphere is just ideal for a fun, carefree getaway. It’s close to the beach, bars, and shops – perfect for days in the sun and nights out with the girls.||We also want to give a special shoutout to Shafak, who absolutely made our stay! He was so friendly, always had time for a chat, and brought so much energy and fun to the hotel. It wouldn’t be the same without him – a real star who makes everyone feel welcome.||Can’t recommend Eleana Hotel enough. We’ve already been twice and we know we’ll be back again. Thanks for another unforgettable holiday!

My stay at Eleana Hotel was largely positive. We checked in at night and were greeted by an extremely lovely and helpful receptionist. The room was comfortable, although the shower initially had low pressure. Once reported, an engineer promptly fixed it. There were a few minor issues in the bathroom, but we felt confident they would have been addressed just as quickly. The TV also didn’t work at first, but it was fixed without any hassle. The restaurant food was lovely, and the restaurant staff were extremely kind and attentive, making our dining experience delightful. The only real issue we encountered was at checkout, where the receptionists forgot to refund our €5 deposit for each room key. However, after contacting them, they refunded me a month later. Overall, we had a good experience, thanks to the friendly staff and responsive service.

Very nice pool with lots of people. Nice hotel. Good staff. Didn't have any problems with the staff. Helpful. Have read some reviews about staff, but maybe if you act like a russian you get treated like a russian? I had an food intolerance and I think the kitchen staff was helpful and professional. That seems to know about most of the allergies and every dinner I had a chef that helped me and guided me what food I could eat or not. There is a big variety of food which my pictures show. 🍞🧀🍔🍛🍮🍰When I was there (July-august 2025) they didn't only had continental breakfast but English breakfast. Bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans, cheese, yoghurt and so on. Pictures will show. Look at my pictures and understand that I show BOTH dinner/lunch and breakfast pictures. It's a three star hotel and I don't think it will reach four stars but 3+. Overall it's not bad. Good supermarket with good prices and good staff about 500 meters away. Not the very first but the second that come on the corner. Good beach walking distance 1 km away. Take left and walk about 500 meters, then straight down about 500 meters. Good sand beach there. I will not focus on bad things in my review because I don't want to give away bad vibes but focus on plus. One negative thing though is the TV which didn't have much international channels. Thanks for my stay 2025.

The hotel was lovely, clean and modern however as others have said, definitely take some earbuds! The music around the pool throughout the day can start as early as 9am so a long lay in is off the cards. The food was okay, although not a lot of choice and may be difficult for more fussy eaters. Very limited availability to keep your room on for a later check out (standard check out is at 12pm) and the staff do cut your all inclusive wrist band off which I found upsetting as our airport transfer wasn’t collecting us until after 5pm, therefore we were left with no room or all-inclusive amenities. I’ve done lots of all inclusive holidays in the past and have never had this issue before. Lovely gym but no evening or daytime entertainment.

We’ve had a wonderful stay at the hotel, and a big part of that is thanks to the amazing service we received at the front desk. The man working there truly took care of us — always smiling, helpful, and available whenever we needed anything. He made us feel more like guests than customers, and that personal touch made all the difference. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect, but it’s the service that makes us want to come back. Highly recommended!

I would not recommend coming here. Me and my partner arrived at midnight of the 26th April, was greeted by a man who works night shifts at reception who was so lovely and welcoming but other than this there was multiple issues. When we got to our room we noticed the walls were completely hollow you could hear everything from rooms above, below, next and through the corridors at all hours in the morning so it’s a struggle trying to sleep as you just hear constant noise from other people. We went all inclusive with this hotel and the food variety there was shocking. We paid an extra £600 (£300pp) to go all inclusive and there was a very little variety of food to choose from. Food wasn’t the best to eat either. After consumption of food it had resulted in upset stomachs every time. I have been to all inclusive hotels before and this just didn’t feel like an all inclusive and I did not get value for my money at all. The Snack bar shows online that it is open 10am-7pm and everything is free for people who booked all inclusive (not stated otherwise) , this was not the case at all. It was open for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. So apart from them 2hours you had to pay for everything else throughout the day which online states otherwise. There was very limited selection of drinks/food at the snack bar. Like stated already the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner wasn’t the best at all. Me and my partner ended up going out for food most of the time even McDonalds and subway and fast food places which were much better than eating here. ||The air con in the room was not working even when pressing it to turn it on it wouldn’t work at all the smell from the air con vent was awful, the smell was so so bad. The other staff apart from the male receptionist who works night shifts were not the nicest of people I felt like they were quite awkward and rude when asking for things. I had spent a fortune eating out even though I had paid for all inclusive. I wish I had kept my £600 and used that to eat out the entire time I would have saved so much money. |The cleanliness of the hotel rooms was not the best even though there was supposedly everyday housekeeping, the floor was very dirty and thick dust everywhere, the bedding was changed only twice in the 8 nights that we stayed there. Towels were only changed 3 times a week which is ridiculous. The channels on the TV was only News, you could not cast anything to the TV so we couldn’t watch anything. I would not recommend this hotel compared to other hotels in Ayia Napa as we had spoke to other people there and the access they had in their hotels and the facilities and entertainment they had seems amazing made our stay sound disastrous.

This hotel is nice. Perfect location not directly in the strip but about 5-10 mins walk to the strip. Near shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and well kept. The beds are okay. Could have been a little more comfortable. Also they change towels every 3 days it should ideally be every 2. The pressure in the shower was quite low & our safe did not work but staff had no problem fixing it. The walls are not soundproof at all. We could hear everyone’s bedtime business………. Apart from that nice spot to stay. Stayed for 5 nights.

The hotel was very nice, modern and clean but VERY NOISY during the day and at night. The staff was very helpful and met all my needs (gluten-free and lactose-free food). The chef was very helpful. The only disappointment was the ice-cold indoor pool where you couldn't swim! The beach was about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The center of Ayia Napa was also a 10-minute walk.
