Chago’s Re-Opens in Belmont with New Interiors and Menu | Eater Nashville

"I learned that an alcohol-free pop-up bar experience called Absence of Proof is launching its Nashville chapter with a non-alcoholic cocktail party at Elegy Coffee Germantown on Thursday, September 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; the event includes unlimited NA cocktails, NA wine, and ready-to-drink options, is 21 and over, and tickets are $35." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

This was a wonderful experience as someone who is not from here I went back like 3 times. Best coffee in Nashville. So many good drinks and just overall Great time. Clean location, Great to do work in a quiet environment. Please make sure to visit. This is a must visit coffee shop.

This coffee shop always has an amazing atmosphere! Huge bonus points for the abundance of beautiful plants—it makes the space so cozy and inviting. The coffee is always delicious, and trust me, I’m picky when it comes to coffee! 😂The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming

Great coffee and great energy! It’s a small place but always super efficient. They are famously known for their Honey Bear Latte, but I gravitated more towards their Black & White coffee and it was so yummy! Could not rate food since I have only ordered their coffee products.

Really nice spot to get some work done. Good coffee and nice people. 💯 Recommend‼️ Germantown in general is a really nice place to go eat and grab a drink in general 🍻

I don't see myself returning to this cafe. It looks nice online but the feel of the environment and the attitude of the young workers was not my cup of tea. My husband and I got the bagel sandwich and it was good and the coffee was as well. I'm looking for a good, relaxing vibe when I go to a place like this and it didn't do it for me. I will be open to trying another location.

Before I get into my rating, here’s what I loved about this cafe and why it might be a 5-star for you: - they’re not joking when it comes to their espresso. It’s everything you wish Coffee offers you - their specialty latte flavor is so unique and unlike what I have had anywhere else. In fact, they don’t hide behind the popular ingredients that go with coffee such as hazelnut, dark chocolate, caramel etc. I had the Garden Party Latte and it just blew my mind The reason I’m not giving it a high rating is because: - it was hard to work there at around 3pm on a sunny day, I could hardly see my laptop screen with that reflection. A couple of people sitting around me were also changing their positions to get a better look at their laptops - parking on Taylor street is almost never available. You gotta use a paid parking lot to hang out here - at $7.50 it’s priced a tad steep - didn’t get the cozy vibe I usually look for in cafes

I'd give this place 8 stars if I could. First, the batistas were super kind in moving us through their diverse menu and helping us find just what we were looking for. Second, the variety and excitement of their coffee offerings was incredible! My friends and I tried the Black and White Cold Brew, didn't know coffee could taste like an Oreo, the Honey Bear Cold Brew which was lightly sweet, creamy and so smooth, Spicy Twice Tonic so fun and approachable especially for someone that's not a spicy coffee kinda guy and also a Hot Miso Carmel Latte. You read that right. If you like the coffee experience you've got to try this one. Its almost like a savory latte but rich at the same time. Good for Elegy for taking risks to really create an exciting coffee experience.

The Elegy honey bear bottles are iconic in Nashville and attract many customers to Elegy but this shop has so much more to offer. I had an espresso tonic, a honey bear latte, and an espresso and was sincerely impressed by the espresso tonic and espresso shot. The tonic had rosemary syrup and the flavor translated perfectly. I feel like this can be a hard thing to do in espresso-based drinks but Elegy did it successfully. The shot itself was balanced and showcased the quality of the drinks here. I enjoyed the honey bear latte, but it was far too sweet for me to drink comfortably without adding more black coffee to it when I got home. The food was also good and had a variety of options. They do have some gluten free substitutes available. Another thing I enjoyed about Elegy was the ice they use. This shop uses blocks of ice that don’t melt fast in your drink! The vibe of Elegy Germantown is different than that of its East location. Both focus on greenery and a small+ cozy atmosphere but the Germantown location has a NY feel about it that makes it a treat to visit. The shop is clean and they don’t play their music loud. The only downside is size. There is plenty of seating outside but if you want to grab a coffee and read a book from inside the shop or hop on your laptop- I would highly advise against it unless you are here during non-peak hours. The shop can get busy and it is best not to use one of the few tables they have for multiple hours. This shop is most suited for a brief stop on your walk around Germantown. If you are looking to find parking for this location, I would not expect to find a spot out front. Construction and residents of the nearby apartments tend to use the street parking next to the shop. Instead, I would park on 2nd Ave North and walk to Elegy. However, there is metered parking outside of Oku that guests can use. However, there is no parking redemption at this location of Elegy and parking in this lot can be expensive. Enforcement is 24/7 and parking patrol is pretty serious about this. Elegy has parking directions online for all of their locations.
