Google
A good coffee shop for those looking for a quick bite or coffee to go. Drip coffee was mid but the honey bear was rich and delicious. Jalapeño bagel was crazy good and would bring me back any day. Love that the shop has a walk up window but there is minimal seating outside (none inside) and no restrooms. Plenty of parking and very friendly staff & atmosphere.

Google
I saw the picture of the breakfast burrito in a review and knew I needed to stop! I recommend getting the honey bear cold brew, we even bought some to take home it was so good!! I would have just cooked the sweet potatoes a little more, but other than that it was delicious!

Stephanie B

Google
Super cool coffee shop! We ordered from the outdoor walk up window which was very convenient, they have a nice outdoor patio. Honey bear latte was amazing & croissant was buttery fresh 💛 Definitely will be back when in the area.

Steven Quinn

Google
Visited here because my first choice of the day was a letdown and overly disappointing. Unique little shop with no indoor seating but has outdoor seating. Very polite and friendly staff that were all smiling. Elegy offers a sizeable menu with seasonal options. The stroop waffle iced latted was so good! There is free parking. Experience was delightful which made for a much better day.

Google
Was close by and super hungry so I grabbed a ham and cheese croissant - delicious! Next time I’ll try a drink when I haven’t already had my coffee. Would return, very clean and cozy space and the staff made sure it stayed that way while making orders.

Google
Very cute place!! Highly recommend getting an iced Honey Bear Cold Brew - just the right amount of sweet and strong. They have a seasonal version in the wintertime that has cayenne in it I believe that's SO GOOD as well. I love the decor and the staff is always super nice.

Google
The food was really good. I also liked the coconut lime Matcha. The coffee was good, nothing special about it, but good. I got the special breakfast burrito and the flavors went great together! I got the special coffee drink - honey bear iced

Google
Thankfully I went on a sunny day that was neither too hot nor too cold. We sat outside and ordered some iced coffee's, a vegetarian burrito with sweet potato, a great sauce and egg, and my partner ordered a crisp egg and bacon croissant. Everything from the ambiance to the food was good and a perfect quantity. I would say if you're a big breakfast eater to buy 2 burritos or 2 croissants. Great location for a morning date, catching up with friends, trying a new coffee location/explore or event taking some mural pictures for your instagram. Those are 2 of the murals right beside the location.

Yelp
So yummy! The man who took our order was so personable and as someone who is from California, I miss that kind of vibe from a coffee shop. It seems like all of the coffee shops in East just try to get you in and out (understandably so given the space and volume of customers) but they were so awesome here!!! Love the plants and the coffee was amazing of course. My husband and I both got iced vanilla lattes and they were perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, not too strong. Will def be coming back.

Yelp
Elegy Coffee - A Gem in Nashville Elegy Coffee on Gallatin is exactly the kind of coffee shop I love having in Nashville. It's small, charming, and always buzzing with people who clearly feel the same way about it as I do. The only downside is that it's so popular it can get pretty busy--but honestly, that's a testament to how great it is. The staff are kind, courteous, and consistently go above and beyond. Even with just a brief interaction, their friendliness leaves a lasting positive impression. It's the kind of service that makes you feel welcomed and appreciated every time. And the coffee? Amazing. I especially love their iced Honeybee Latte, made with their in-house honey--it's the perfect blend of sweet and smooth. Elegy Coffee is a standout spot in Nashville, and I can't recommend it enough. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's worth the visit.

Yelp
Edit: realized this review was for the Germantown location regarding the atmosphere. I loved the Cold Brew so I imagine it's the same... Atmosphere, service, cold brew, creations, all a big win! I loved the live plants and the indoor and outdoor seating options. It's by my dentist office so very convenient for me to treat myself, but it's also worth visiting more than every 6 months. It's pretty small inside but also next to the Griff apartments so there is a modern courtyard outside which offers more seating and entertainment space although technically might not be part of the coffeeshop. I definitely want to go back!

Yelp
The breakfast burrito is absolutely AMAZING. And the coffee is real deal. This is a must try place!!
google avatar

Bria S.

Yelp
Love Elegy! The Honey Bear and Matcha are amazing The vibe and service is always great!
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
This is the best coffee i've ever had. I've had a lot of coffee, from a lot of different places, this is the best. I highly recommend their peach honey bear. The overnight oats are a HUGE portion and perfectly textured and sweetened. Zero complaints, I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Quinn H.

Yelp
Super cute local spot in east Nashville! Great coffee and quick service. They also have a few breakfast food options.
google avatar

Riya R.

Yelp
The ambiance and the coffee was good, don't get me wrong. However, the coffee wasn't really worth the price. I ordered the Miso Caramel latte (hot) and it was very overpriced. Even though it was a latte, they seemed to charge to milk (even whole milk?). The taste was okay, nothing to write home about. Overall, the quality wasn't worth the price. Glad they validate parking for an hour though.
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
I once went here and was charged for hot sauce packets... I thought that was kind of hardcore. Though upon further review and months of reflection, I've realized the taste of their burrito is worth the hassle. Would be 5 star if not for packet charge. This place is great.

Emily W.

Yelp
Elegy coffee has to be a favorite in the plethora of options in Nash. They're consistently quality regardless the location, I visit the one in East most often. Staff is so friendly, kind, and fast. (Can be the opposite in coffee culture) Location is outdoor seating only, indoors or at outdoor window you can take your order. Location feels fun to a quick Sunday morning coffee. When it's overcast and a lil chilly, it makes me feel like I'm back in Santa Cruz or something-- super fun vibe.
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
This was my favorite coffee shop during our stay in Nashville! I apparently needed the honeybear every morning before engaging in all our sightseeing activities... Even had it delivered to the airbnb on our last day. I will definitely miss this place the most.
google avatar

Casey D.

Yelp
I dream about elegy's breakfast burrito. It's enormous though so I would suggest splitting. Love their normal drip coffee but also love the miso caramel flavor addition you can add to your latte--it's salty, sweet, and delicious. Really pretty space with beautiful plants and a calm ambience. On Sunday morning there is a good balance of folks working, in convo or just grabbing a drink to go. There is an order ahead feature which is great when you're in a rush!

Lauren W.

Yelp
I ordered an Elegy burrito, no bacon and add tofu hash. They did not include the sweet potato and onion hash, which was not listed as a modification to take off the burrito. Usually elegy is spot on, but it's frustrating to pay the price for the burrito and it not have all the ingredients which led you to choosing it in the first place.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Wow, really impressed. I went in for a morning coffee and ordered the honey bear. It was delicious, it was creamy, just sweet enough and fresh. I also ordered a bacon and cheese croissant sandwich and the croissant was really fresh and hot. Also, the employees were super nice and welcoming. The shop was small, but they have an outdoor seating area and the inside is filled with plants and cozy. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Emily W.

Yelp
I dream of the black & white. Truly unlike any coffee I've ever had before. Just wish I would replicate that marshmallow whip at home! Baristas are always friendly, fast and accurate. I will say, I don't recommend trying to work from here as there's no indoor seating. Regardless, the decor and plants inside are beautiful. Plenty of outdoor seating, but traffic makes it a little loud, but worth it on a nice day!

Yelp
JACKPOT: Breakfast sandwich and Coffee! We visited Nashville in July and wanted to try a good coffee shop that sold breakfast items (more than pastries). OMG did we hit the jackpot with Elegy! Friendly service. Yummy coffee. And a breakfast biscuit sandwich that I'm still dreaming of. We were only there 3 busy days and made sure to fit in one more visit before we left because it was SO GOOD. The area seemed sketchy as we were driving in - only due to the major construction going on. We did have to pay for parking the first time. The second time, we got smart and ordered on line. I stayed in the car while my hubby ran in to grab our order. I wish we had an Elegy here in Phoenix AZ. Thank you to all of the Elegy staff who made our visit so memorable. I'm still dreaming of one more breakfast sandwich. The biscuits are perfection.
google avatar

Leanne B.

Yelp
The black and white was literally the best coffee I've ever had in my life. It was a mocha base which was so creamy and rich with a MARSHMALLOW WHIP TOPPING!! So delicious everyone who loves chocolate and marshmallows MUST TRY! Such friendly service also! I just wish there was indoor seating because it's so hot out but otherwise the place is perfect.
google avatar

Mikey W.

Yelp
Now this is a place I would gladly go every damn day! They use Anchorhead beans so you know it's gonna be good. Everyone here is super friendly and the service is quick and painless with a window or the counter to order from, depending on the cloud that hangs over your head. I always get the americano cause it's perfect, but the honey bear is so damn tasty. Had to even get one to go (which comes in the cutest lil bear bottle). They made a new concoction called "The Zen" which has cucumber, mint, lemon zest and oat milk to make that coffee buzz sing in a whole new way, not to be missed! And you can even add in some cbd to it, if you're feeling a bit too frisky. The pastries and breakfast sandwiches are always a hit, but they go quick so you gotta come in early for em. Long and short of it all - this is your future favorite coffee shop, if it isn't already.

Mark S.

Yelp
Be sure to check your bag! They failed to place part of what I ordered and paid for in my bag. Mark Sherman

Yelp
Opened during the pandemic, Elegy Coffee is a small cafe in East Nashville with a few seats outside and a walk-up window for takeout coffee. Inside, is a small space with friendly baristas and plants decorating the walls. They brew Seattle's Arrowhead Coffee and have a full coffee menu. I tried their burnt honey latte and wow. It combined the usual flavors of a latte with a few unique tones. I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Mariam M.

Yelp
Amazing matcha. Try the coconut lime. Trust. Went right before closing and the service was very good. Didn't get to experience the ambiance.
google avatar

Danielle G.

Yelp
Of course this place has great coffee, cute interior, and staff was super! So friendly, the sweet clerk with the infectious laugh took the time to get sight-seeing recommendations for us, making notes for us. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

JJ J.

Yelp
Elegy is everywhere in Nashville and for a good reason--it's fantastic. The coffee is smooth, delicious, and the matte black packaging is cool as hell! I have another favorite coffee shop in Nashville but I tried Elegy on my most recent visit and I know I'll be hitting them up on future visits. The shop we stopped by in East Nashville has outdoor seating so definitely a great place if the weather is good but otherwise you'll want to take it to go. The merch all looks cool and they also sell unusual stuff like socks which is fun.
google avatar

Raegan B.

Yelp
Elegy has a straightforward menu full of impressive and delicious signature drinks, as well as high quality classics. The Honey Bear is my favorite coffee in Nashville. Service is always quick. I wish the patio had a large covering, as it can be scorching out there. It's also quite loud being on Gallatin, so I wouldn't plan on sticking around and enjoying your coffee there if I were you. But I still highly recommend to grab a coffee to take back home or on the go!
google avatar

Taylor A.

Yelp
Best coffee period. Service is great with indoor and outdoor order spots. The black and white is addicting, don't try it otherwise you'll be buying it everyday - like me.

John G.

Yelp
I was staying nearby. I ordered online, then walked over to pick up my order. The breakfast burrito was fantastic! Next time I will enjoy eating there on their outside patio.
google avatar

Meredith M.

Yelp
This one is okay.... It's super small and only outdoor seating. I tried to find out if there was indoor seating before I went but I could not find any information on it. The one in germantown is my favorite and in my opinion has the best matcha latte ever. I'm glad I tried this one and it would be great if you were just getting a coffee to go but will be sticking to the other location for the ambiance and for the fact that I can work there!
google avatar

Nacim I.

Yelp
So good!!!! Parking is available behind the building or you could walk to it There is a window outside to order your items to-go. There is minimal seating but it's beautiful and the drinks are even better! My friends were here visiting from Boston and we went almost everyday they were here to try different drinks each time. It was so good! Highly recommend going here. Skip Starbucks
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
Coffee was high quality for those fellow coffee snobs out there. For those who are more of latte fan, they have some very unique and interesting options. The cold brew with burnt honey was on point. The walk up window makes it dog friendly. There are also options to order inside. Hungry? The breakfast burrito and egg&bacon sandwich looked and smelled fantastic.
google avatar

Nicolette T.

Yelp
This place rocks. It operates as a to-go coffee stand, with limited outdoor seating. Nonetheless they serve up great coffee options, and light bites. They have a rotating menu, and so many different flavors, that you are bound to find something that fits your tastebuds. I always try something new when I go, and I am never disappointed!
google avatar

Joanna C.

Yelp
What a great coffee shop! Its footprint is small but the offerings pack an outsized punch. They offer a variety of interesting variations on your everyday espresso and cold brew, plus they have a selection of pastries as basic (but DELICIOUS) breakfast sandwiches/bagels/burritos. You can walk up to the counter outside or order inside, where the atmosphere is both bright and moody thanks to dark decor, bright sunlight, and an assortment of plants both for display and for sale. They have their branding down, too; there are shelves of branded stickers, mugs, shirts, candles, coffee, snd CBD products. Elegy is definitely worth a stop!
google avatar

Celina K.

Yelp
Such amazing espresso drinks. The Speculoos is my new go-to drink. Their baked goods are amazing. I'm from the New York area, and their bagels are sooo good. Perfect consistency. And the croissants are sublime. My new go-to coffee place (just wish they had indoor seating for working and/or more comfortable outdoor seating. One criticism is the cheese thief use on the bagels--tastes like Kraft "cheese," which I wouldn't expect from such an upscale coffee joint.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! I stumbled upon this spot nearby where I was staying in East Nashville, and I'm very glad I visited. The staff were both friendly and knowledgeable. The burnt honey latte was delicious.

Emmi S.

Yelp
Best iced chai tea latte I've ever had!! If your a cinnamon lover you'll love it too. The vegan breakfast burrito is amazing as well! It feels a tiny bit spicy (so be warned if you don't handle spicy-ness well) but it makes the flavor really pop! Only downside was it was Saturday morning so it was suuuper busy, but definitely worth the wait!!
google avatar

Irene L.

Yelp
I came here as my last treat of 2022. I arrived, and noticed the shop was small, but cute. There was indoor and outdoor counter. I went inside, and the place was very clean and chic. I was greeted immediately with a warm welcome and ordered the honey bear latte with ice and a brava, papa burrito with a gluten free tortilla. I was served my latter immediately and waited no more than 7 minutes for my burrito. The latte was good, but a bit too sweet for my liking. Maybe something I should have known, as it has honey. The burrito was just okay, nothing special, and I found it rather small. Only 2/3 the size of a typical breakfast burrito for half the price! I found it overpriced. Not sure if I'll return, but I wouldn't cross it off my list. Id love to try their other drinks, as the service and ambiance was wonderful!

Ward H.

Yelp
Really great coffee. Was at the store on Gallatin in east Nashville. Great product, nice folks.
google avatar

Kait C.

Yelp
Popped into this coffee shop this morning and wow I am so glad I did! The staff was so quick. They had my coffee out before we even finished paying and the barista told us about how each of the coffees were unique. Not only was it fast and kind service, but the honey bunches of cold brew is CULT FOLLOWING WORTHY. get yourself in here soon and cool off with a delicious drink.

Karen V.

Yelp
Wow great beans, well prepared coffees, sandwiches and pastries. Staff were quick and friendly. Love the feel. Great area to sit down and enjoy the treats too.
google avatar

Lindsey R.

Yelp
I'd share a photo of the Honeybear... except I couldn't put it down! I like sweet coffee drinks as a treat, and that's definitely what this was. I love that they sell it to-go in cute honey bear containers, would make a great gift! There is a paid parking lot behind, but also a QR code for 1 hour validation inside. Everyone was super friendly, and had great recommendations.
google avatar

Ruth W.

Yelp
I had some extra time one morning before work and checked out this place which is just down the street from my home. I got the miso caramel latte iced which was delicious; a lingering tangy-sweet aftertaste which was very good. I also got the elegy breakfast burrito which was quite small and almost $10 but good. All in all, I paid over $25 for a medium latte and a small burrito (had to ask for hot sauce bc it was a bit dry and also who eats breakfast burritos without hot sauce?!) as a treat to myself but I also left wondering if one has to be filthy rich in Nashville to enjoy things like a coffee and breakfast nowadays. Definitely a luxury and not an everyday habit (hence 4/5 stars), but a welcome treat when you have the $ for it.
google avatar

Julianne H.

Yelp
Great outside spot in the sun. I had an amazingly delicious iced coffee and the BEST bacon egg and cheese croissant I've ever had! No line and fast service. Right around the corner from a cool thrift store too!
google avatar

Reese M.

Yelp
My sister and I spent a whole day trying coffee shops in Nashville and this was by far the best coffee we had! Definitely recommend
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
We came into town from CA and needed to find good coffee ASAP, and we did!! Got an oat milk latte with an extra shot (four total!!) and it was incredible. And normally it's pretty hard to make a latte stand out from other coffee shops, but the espresso had an unbelievable flavor - it was really unique and delicious!!

Leora B.

Yelp
Love Elegy! Wonderful vibe, outstanding coffee whether you get drip or one of their creative lattes, and - bonus! - the food is awesome as well
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
We stopped by Elegy for some coffee and snacks this morning. We ordered online on their website (love being able to order ahead!) and picked our order up at the to go window! We ordered one Americano, one London Fog (with oat milk), and one Everything Bagel Croissant Tart (made by Brightside Brightshop). Everything was great! Their menu has everything you'd expect from a good coffee shop with some extras/surprises thrown in (miso caramel latte & bagels from Bagelshop?!). Great, fast service, and love being able to order ahead online on their website and pick up from the to go window. We'll be back!

Sam F.

Yelp
The vegan breakfast burrito was so convenient & delicious. The baklava latte was so good 10/10 I ate here all 3 days that we were in Nashville
google avatar

Shane S.

Yelp
Absolutely love this spot! The staff is amazingly friendly and the coffee options are diverse enough to please the casual fan to the coffee purest. The cold brew chocolate milk is mind blowing and the house made burnt honey syrup should be bottled and sold. You must try the Fox chocolate chip cookies. Another great coffee stop in a city that is killing the specialty coffee game.
google avatar

Natasha D.

Yelp
Wonderful little coffee shop with a convenient to go window. We had the Pumpkin Stuff and Honey Bunches of Cold Brew. Both were lovely and interesting! Beautiful design in the small space and the plants are also a nice touch (and available for purchase)! Laura was our barista and she was extremely friendly and helpful. Seems like a great neighborhood spot.
google avatar

Shelly A.

Yelp
Cute little place. Only a paid parking lot. Yummy iced chai! Worth a stop when in Nashville
