The hotel is in an excellent location to get to places. If you are bringing a car, the valets are good. Given the way the street is, very good! The hotel itself, is in an interesting building and the room we had, had a kitchenette. Everything was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast is included. It is a small buffet, but has everything you need. You can get a fresh fried egg, which is a nice touch. For location, it is great. The view from our room was phenomenal. Definitely a great and unique place to stay in Detroit.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel last week, 3 days for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. The front desk staff provided us with an awesome customer service experience during our three day stay!! Daniel was very nice and respectable during the hotel check in process, very satisfied with our room, which made this anniversary unforgettable. Also, the front desk staff of Ja'Nay, Ricka, and Grace accommodated my wife and I, with ultimate customer service. Ricka was very informative about the hotel and nearby surrounding attractions, including the rooftop Monarch. We definitely recommend this hotel, for anybody visiting the downtown Detroit area! Beautiful hotel! Again, the front desk customer service was superb! We can't wait til our next stay!!!!

Do you love an excellent hotel in a bustling metropolis? This is the place. From the moment you walk in, and are greeted warmly by the valet, you will be treated kindly. Fun bar on first floor. The best skyline bar in Detroit. And the breakfast is amazing. Every time. I stay regularly for business and leisure. In the heart of the theater district, within shouting distance to the arenas, next to a people mover stop, and a short walk to the financial district.

There are so many things to say about this hotel, and none of them are bad. To start, the staff is amazing. They are all attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. Mike, the GM has to be a dynamic servant leader. He knows the operations well and that energy is reflected by his staff. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location is a short walk to many of the downtown attractions. This hotel is 5 stars all around.

Incredible stay in a stunning building. From the moment I arrived following a long day of travel I was greeted with a smile and the feeling I was being cared for. Toni, Trina, Charmaine and Daniel - the front desk aka happiest team I’ve experienced made my 4 night stay entertaining while never forgetting a need, addressing a question about the city or making me feel at home. The room, a mini apartment with a bed that felt like a slice of heaven. Wondering around in awe of the restoration of this historical building I met Kim from the F&B team who stopped to ensure my experience was bringing me joy, because her passion for hospitality her purpose! Grace, a gem, an advocate for sustainability initiatives and creator of a perfect guest experience. The Element provides a time to rise, rest, relax and restore with a chef cooked breakfast, loose leaf tea experience and happy hour inviting all to join in a social setting in the lobby and a partnership with the Y across the street to add to the gym they have on site. The perfect location walking distance to the Qline and PeopleMover with easy access on foot or transit to all things arts and entertainment. I could’ve walked the city for days, feeling safe and an energy intoxicating with so much history and new additions rising. I simply can’t wait to stay again!

This hotel was wonderful to stay at! The kitchenettes were very nice, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the rooms were quite spacious. Additionally, their breakfast buffet is small but has great quality.

Google
Ricka, My stay was amazing I want to thank Ricka SHE WAS AMAZING!!! Her level of customer service was beyond exceptional, she helped me with my room upgrade. The best part of the Element was Ricka she was very warming from start to finish with the booking process of my hotel room. She was very patient and made this experience worth while. I loved my room and my view along with the complimentary breakfast. Will definitely be staying here again only if she can help me.

Greg at Monarch Club was absolutely amazing! His recommendations were fantastic and I loved the vibe. Super cute cozy bar with great, personable staff. On the top floor of the beautiful Element hotel right in the center of downtown for a breathtaking view!

Yelp
What an awesome gem in downtown Detroit! Clean rooms, awesome view, safe area with lots to do and see within walking distance. I had an amazing night sleep- the bed was comfortable and they even provided a sound machine! I will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Very nice one night stay , saw a show at the Fox so we were looking for something close, walking distance. Element fit the bill. Arrived at 3 PM, our room was ready, a beautifully restored building, our room was super clean with a very nice kitchenette. Nice set up for us and even better if a long stay guest Lauren checked us in and gave a rundown of the facility. The location is very convenient, walking distance to the fox, opera house and to both the lion and tigers stadiums. Lots of dining selections within short walking distance, we went next-door to Wright and Company and a delicious meal. The staff was excellent, Valet was quick and efficient with our car, The woman and man at the morning breakfast bar very friendly and helpful Perfect DT Detroit stay.

Yelp
I love this hotel, it's super close to all the Detroit sports venues and downtown Detroit. The rooms are updated and really clean, also many have great views of downtown Detroit. The staff is friendly and the building is so unique inside! They have a good breakfast too, and the Monarch bar on the roof is amazing!!

Yelp
there is so much to like about this hotel. I booked a night in February because my wife and I were seeing Wicked at the Opera House and wanted a close hotel. I was very happy we did. Let's run down the list of what's working for this hotel. 1) Location- this is a great location for many Detroit venues, easy walk to the Opera House, Ford Field, Greektown. There are TONS of great dining options nearby as well 2) the rooms- Tons of space with a bed, living area and kitchenette with a big fridge. the bed itself was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. My wife liked it so much that after our stay, she's been on a quest to redo our bedding at home to match what we experienced here 3) The building- I love staying at hotels located in old Detroit buildings that have been restored to their former glory. The Metropolitan is a gem Add in the fact that the Element is far less expensive than a lot of other downtown options, this is a big winner

Yelp
We had a great weekend at the Element. Super cool building. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor, very comfortable, huge bathroom and a kitchenette. The hair dryer was broken when we arrived, but they came with a replacement within ten minutes. The free breakfast was outstanding -- hot options, a well-stocked selection of greek yogurt with berries and cereal, good coffee. And it's located in a really fun area, with lots of restaurant and bar options walkable. The only downside was that if you are facing the main street, the nights can be extremely loud with the bars open until 2 a.m. and cars blasting music until very very late. They helpfully already had a white noise machine by the bed, but it didn't completely cover it up -- if you are a light sleeper, definitely ask if they have a quieter room.

Yelp
This is the place to be as far as downtown Detroit hotels. There are lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. This hotel will be our top choice staycation destination. The hotel is clean and our suite was very spacious. The bed was super comfy and we slept like babies. The staff is amazing!!! Customer service was 5 star and that started the day we made our reservations. I called Lauren to see if she could help me surprise my husband and she was just as excited as I was! She made sure there were snacks in our room when we checked in and she left a note for the staff as well. When we checked in, Toni and Knesa greeted us with huge smiles and Happy Anniversary!!! I can't wait for our next staycation.

Yelp
My first trip by plane since Covid 19, was to Detroit for a wedding :) It was a city I had never visited before and it was fun to explore the downtown area from my home base at the Element Hotel. The renovation of this beautiful structure that was abandoned for 40 years, is documented here. The extended stay focus of this hotel makes it an especially good choice if you are staying more than a night or two. Having a full refrigerator with freezer, 2 burners, microwave, dishwasher, dishes and silverware for 4, as well as utensils and pans for cooking, was very convenient for reheating and eating leftovers. I missed the usual hotel extras of bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, and a full length mirror, but the full kitchen was a great trade off. They offer a complimentary breakfast on the Mezzanine level (only one of the elevators goes to that floor, so ask at the front desk which one if you don't want to take the stairs), and it offers the standard American eggs, sausage, toast, but also yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. The citywide people mover stops literally a block away, so for $0.75 a ride, you can tour the city from the rail. Having the rooftop Monarch Club with panoramic city views was a nice in house option, but it is only open at the end of the week and closes at 11pm. I went there one night for a drink and snack, and noticed they had charged me 30% MORE for my VSOP cognac than the price listed on the menu. Once I told the waitress, they corrected it, but make sure you double check you bill before paying for your drinks. The lamb meatballs were a bit dry and dense, but nicely seasoned, and definitely a large enough portion to share. It's a hearty enough appetizer to make a meal if you did not get a chance to eat dinner elsewhere.

Yelp
Came here not know what to expect from this hotel, and I loved this hotel! Staff members were super nice. They wore masks at all times and sanitizer was provided at the front desk. The building does not have it's own parking lot, so there is valet, where the Valet guys take it a quarter of mile away, and park it in a lot for you. They give you a phone number to text them when you a ready about 15 minutes before you want your car to have them pick up the car. They were super nice and helpful. The hotel is located inside the Metropolitan building. And the only real complaint I have is that the elevators are very slow. There's only 2 for 12 floors. It tries to maintain it's old style but is also renovated and well maintained. The free breakfast is back! Haven't gotten to it yet, but will update soon. UPDATE: breakfast was grab and go open from 630am to 930am. They had a chobani yogurt station with toppings like raspberry, strawberry, blackberry and granola. They also had prepackaged bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin, also another option without the bacon. There wa prepackaged muffins as well as plenty of fruit like grapefruit, oranges, and bananas. They even gave you a To go box to put everything in. Very impressed. The sandwich was pretty good too compared to the Hyatt breakfasts I've been getting! The room was super clean, and we got a super spacious corner room. The decor of wood and green was so aesthetically pleasing. The pharmocopia toiletry they provide smells so good and is made from fancy organic ingredients! The room we got came with a kitchen, but we didn't get any dish soap just a new sponge, with dishwashing detergent. Other hotels that I've been to with kitchens always provide dish soap. The views of downtown detroit from the hotel are pretty nice too. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. So glad we found this place and wished we could stay longer!

Yelp
It's been a nightmare to trying to speak to a person at this hotel. Voicemails, auto-attendants, endless call trees, and email to management. Nothing! Finally, I got one person on the phone and they put me on hold. I waited on hold for 17 minutes before hanging up. Called back 3 times and got a voicemail. I simply needed a copy of my invoice, since the one they gave me at checkout did not match the charge on my card! An otherwise pleasant experience at the hotel has turned into a nightmare. I was a loyal Marriott customer, but will never stay at their resorts again. I am appalled that Marriott does not make the service experience user friendly. A manager contacted me later in the evening. Shortly after, I was peppered with emails which included the same inaccurate invoice. I am done.

Yelp
Very friendly and helpful staff. All the accommodations are great. Staff keep the whole place immaculately clean. The breakfast is very good, just wish they'd start before 7 for travelers. Would highly recommend.

Taidem C.

Yelp
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, the customer service was amazing and attentive. Siyani at the front desk was able to get me an upgrade to a room with a view. Told us we had to go to the bar upstairs even if we didn't drink because the view was too great to miss. He was absolutely amazing answering any question that we had and was always happy to help. The rooftop bar was the cherry on top, offering an amazing atmosphere paired with breathtaking views that would be impossible to find anywhere else. The bartender Gregory made our group some amazing drinks. We asked him to surprise us he did and explained everything about each drink. Told us that the drinks changed every season. We will be coming back for sure for some more drinks! Whether it was day or night, the panoramic scenery was a delight. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a stay that's as spectacular as the sights! Will be staying here the next time we come back.

Yelp
Loved staying here! From the corner room (515), to the decor they did for Christmas, to the lunch that was catered for our meeting, what a great job! The service was great also. The bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept on while traveling, the blankets felt like they were weighted and I slept so good! I will most definitely be back!

Yelp
Great location for a beautiful hotel. Front desk people and valets are friendly and helpful. The fitness center has way more equipment than a standard hotel including a stair climber, weighted balls and free weights. Breakfast was part of our room rate and it was nice to have healthy choices like plain Greek yogurt and berries. Will have to return to check out the rooftop bar because there was a private party there. The room was clean and like all Westin Hotels the bed was super comfortable.

Yelp
What a beautifully renovated space! I haven't stayed yet, but received a tour, including the restaurant space they're working on as well as their rooftop space opening in May. The lobby is stunning. There are lots of open spaces to hang out in throughputincluding a beautiful fireplace area. Breakfast is included and can be enjoyed in a nice lounge area. The rooms are new, clean and spacious with kitchenettes in all and even full kitchens in the suites. There are 110 rooms. They have meeting and event rooms as well with absolutely beautiful lighting. They offer catering services for private meals with the chef from Local in Ferndale. The best part of the hotel is its location; the closest hotel in Detroit to all of the fun nightlife. A drawback, unexpectedly, is the view. Many of the windows look out in the HVAC systems. I'd recommend starting here for sure, especially if you're coming in for business. An excellent addition to downtown! Update: stayed overnight and it was so comfortable and awesome. Soft pillows, lots of space, very homey. We stayed on the top floor, and omg the views!! The best hotel room in Detroit, hands down. The staff is so friendly and professional, I highly recommend and can't wait to return!

Yelp
Completely forgot that "Element" Hotels= kitchen (yuck for me!) when I booked this, especially as this was a one night only business trip. Well turned out I appreciated this hotel for the following reasons: - Nice upgraded room with plenty of space (it was a corner room) - Service/friendly staff - Clean - Kitchen area was out of my way/not a distraction - Great view from my room - Great rooftop bar with amazing views! - Amazing transformation of an old building (Google it, pretty impressive what they pulled of) - Good location with plenty of restaurant options near by

Yelp
We recently spent six days at the Element. Came in on a Monday evening, stayed through the following Sunday. My girlfriend hasn't told me what we paid for the rooms yet but I'll update this as soon as I know. The Element is an interesting building, a wedge of a structure off of a main street, situated in what feels like a pretty trendy corner of downtown Detroit. Mothballed since the Carter administration and only open for the last six months, it holds promise but is still a bit rough around the edges. Our corner room was on on the fifth floor. I'd highly recommend the corner rooms - they are, at least according to the floor maps posted at every elevator, far roomier and nicer laid out than those not on corners. I'd mentioned a bit of roughness...it was interesting that some floors were carpeted but ours was not. And the corridor leading to our room looked rough, with some dust or debris clearly visible. Additionally, a couple of glitches in the electronics offerings belied the infancy of the hotel. For example, the television guide had zero information for any of the local channels. We could tell what network they were but no program info. And while there was an option to connect our device to the television, that connectivity function never worked correctly. Finally, and this is an issue for anyone staying over the weekend, John R street is noisy. And worse over the weekend. There are sports bars, and other establishments close by that create a loud and ongoing din late into the evening. Doubters only need to know that there was an ongoing and visible presence of the Detroit mounted police for an extended period immediately in front of the Element over the weekend. Add to this, our uncarpeted floor echoed adjoining room noise heavily to the point the I had to stick my head out the door to yell "be quiet!" - which didn't work. Neither did complaints to the front desk... Having said all of this, I've got to give massive kudos to the mattresses at the hotel. Once I got to sleep, I slept better than I have in years. I looked this one up - the Marriott Heavenly Bed is outstanding. And, at around $2,000, pretty damned expensive. I'm saving up for one. Meal accommodations are fairly generic for a hotel. There's a few banquet items during the week and maybe one special, then a bit more on the weekends. Nothing to write home about. Hard to say whether we'd be back or not. As a whole, we enjoyed our stay but I believe that there are other options which we'll explore if/when we come back to Detroit.

Eric W.

Yelp
My first time staying in downtown Detroit and was happy with the Element Detroit at the Metropolitan. It's housed in a beautifully restored old building and convenient to so much. Definitely would stay here again. My room was simple bite nice. Oh, and the lobby is amazing.

Jereshia H.

Yelp
The hotel staff was great. The rooms are spacious and love the kitchenettes. The valet though... I was in town for a week and everyday, there was some issue - the text system not working, calling down to get my car and the staff forgetting to put the request in, etc. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes longer than they tell you for your car.

Yelp
My partner and I had a Covid romance and decided to get married as carefully as we could in 2021. I called several downtown Detroit hotels to see if they could accommodate our out of town guests and wedding party. The Element was the first to respond, had great customer service and even though the person helping us with our initial booking moved on to a different position in the months between our booking and our wedding, the transition was practically seamless. Jordan, who helped us through the rest of the process was great. We had some last minute bookings and he did his best to make sure they were accommodated and everyone was placed close together. He also helped my mother in law book our rehearsal dinner on their rooftop bar, the Monarch Club. In addition to the ease of booking, the rooms were clean, spacious, and had great views! My partner and I stayed an extra 2 days with our dog after the wedding to rest and hang out with friends who stayed a little longer as well. The staff at the Element and the Monarch Club were all great. We loved the whole experience and go back to the Monarch Club for drinks whenever we can! I highly recommend both the Element and the Monarch Club.

Jaimie S.

Yelp
John in Valet is hands down the absolute best!! He was so nice and helpful. He made parking and storing our car a breeze. Even in all the chaos he has the place held down!! The breakfast ladies were also phenomenal. Hotel clean as can be!

Aubree h.

Yelp
I wish I could pick 0 stars. The hotel itself was nice and clean. Honestly was one of the biggest hotel room I have been in. Although at the end of my stay, I come back to my car to see the money I had left to tip the valet was already taken by the valet. I had additional tipped them even more before realizing that my $10 was taken. My bad for leaving money in my car would not think that someone would touch another persons stuff. Very disappointing and frustrating with this service, would have just parked the car myself if I knew I would be $10 dollars poorer.

Yelp
This hotel is detroits finest the whole team from valet to concierge to breakfast team were wonderful beautiful clean rooms great breakfast location top notch Jessica at front desk welcomed us and we were grateful for her expertise

Yelp
Great hotel! Loved the design, especially the shower. It's so nice to turn on a shower and not get hit with cold water as you try to maneuver like a cat to avoid it. The bed was much firmer than I'm used to so I woke up a bit sore. The staff was all incredibly friendly. The downside... we ended up in a room with an adjoining door. You can hear everything your neighbor says. Ours were particularly obnoxious at 12:30 am coming in after a hard night out on the town. If you are a light sleeper, check to see if you are set to get this type of room. Sleep sound app for the win!

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful newly renovated hotel! Perfect place to stay if attending a Pistons or Tigers game as both event venues are walking distance. There's delicious restaurants in walking distance (one is directly across the street) and shopping is nearby as well. The amenities in the room were excellent: desk space for working, fridge, wet bar, microwave & small coffee maker. Perfect setup for you to bring your leftovers back to the room for a snack later or the next day! The breakfast exceeded my expectations. There were two hot items available: one buffet style and one made to order (an egg white taco with black beans and corn - it was delicious!). There was also a build your own parfait station, toasts/bagels + toaster, juices. Felt like you were eating breakfast at home! There was only one lady staffing this area (she could have used some help but everyone seemed to be very patient with her) and she was extremely hospitable and greeted each guest as they walked into the room. If I could give a 4.5 star rating I would. There's still some construction taking place on the floor my room was on and actually right next door to my room. I'm sure I could have asked to switch rooms upon arrival when I heard the workers and how loud it was in my room, but I knew they'd be gone by the time I returned to go to sleep. What I didn't know is that they would be my early am alarm clock! Great place, great customer service. I would recommend a visit! They're finishing a bar on the first level of the hotel right off the entrance, I'm sure it will be neat!

Ron K.

Yelp
Marriott should be embarrassed to have there name on this place. Nothing open until 9pm. Bring a crew here from the Red Wings game and they say the one bar is closed because of the snowstorm. 2 inches. Michigan. Just shut this place down.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great stay, very modern and luxurious with mid-century modern to modern touches and decor. Accommodating staff.

Yelp
Great hotel. Very clean, even the remote had plastic over it. Very large room with so many windows to explore our surroundings! I expected a small cramped room in the middle of the city, but no. Large shower that has shampoo/ conditioner combos and body wash. Little kitchenette with microwave, small fridge, plates, cups, and utensils. There's a water filtration system under the sink. Crisp white linens on the bed. Heavy blanket on the bed, which led to great sleep! There's a lounge behind check in and a roof top bar that's open in the evenings.

Yelp
I come to Detroit every week and stayed at the Element for the first time last week. Just to level set, I've stayed at the Marriott RenCen and the Westin in Detroit the rest of my time here and have status with Marriott. The Element is in the heart of downtown and shares the same building as the best rooftop bar (IMO) in Detroit and has a super unique narrow shape. There's about 13 floors in the building and check in is on the first floor on the left. Although I have Marriott Ambassador status, I dont think I got an upgrade this time, but the standard room I booked (which was on floor 9) didnt come with a kitchenette, but came with a mini fridge, bar sink, and microwave. Some of my other coworkers got full kitchens with stoves in their rooms. I had brought instant ramen in case I did get an upgrade, but that's okay. The bathroom has a floor to ceiling glass shower and a mirror with lit up edges. The soap comes out of a dispenser on the wall and the brand is Pharmacy, I believe. (Smells nice!) The floors are wooden except for the thin carpet near the beds and the hallway outside is also not carpeted, which means you can hear the elevator and any door close echo from the inside of your room. Also the bare wooden floors make it feel a little dorm-y. The heater/AC system is a standalone unit that is located on the ceiling and controlled by a panel on the wall. I couldnt figure out how to make the room warmer (it was 64 degrees when I got there) after turning up all the setting so an engineer came promptly and helped me through my issue. Word of caution though, the beds have a solid wooden frame around them. The first thing I did when I got to my room was throw myself at the bed (because who doesnt??) and bruise my thigh on the frame. (I'm short so yeah, my thigh.) Ouch. But the free glass of happy hour wine from downstairs helped ease the pain. (They have red, whites, and beer!) I will say, I LOVED the red wine. It was a really great pinot. They also have a changing cheese of the day to pair with it and the second day had some kind of dill cheese which was just yum! One of my favorite things about The Element was that you get complimentary access to the HUGE nearby YMCA with the lap pool, fitness classes, equipment, walking track, bball court, rock climbing wall, etc. Probably the biggest benefit. However, they also have a small gym, very clean and new equipment (free weights), and my favorite, the Peloton bike. The water cups at the gym are paper cones, so careful because they can slip out of your grip! Even though there is no lounge, you dont miss it so much because of the happy hour and the free breakfast. At breakfast, they have some kind of egg dish, an assortment of breads and english muffins and spreads, meat, cereal (lucky charms, cheerios, and raisin bran), a build your own parfait bar, assorted beverages, and whole fruit and sometimes avocado! Loved it. Better breakfast than the Marriott RenCen Lounge in my opinion. While the rooms had faucets that dispensed filtered water, I will say I did miss the bottled water though. There were a few good and bad things, as you can see from above, but I think the two biggest let downs was 1) you dont get as many points as the other two hotels per night and 2) even though I opted in for the Green Choice and hung the sign on my door, I came back to my room and it was cleaned that day. Dont get me wrong, I like a clean room, however, when you dont expect to have someone come into the room and they do, it's a little unsettling. I called the front desk and they let me know I'd still get points for that day and said they'd run up a Do Not Disturb magnet to put on my door. Overall, a pretty good stay! I would definitely stay there again. Also, FYI, the new soft serve custard, 'Huddle', is right across the street. Not mad about that either!

Yelp
I'm finally getting to my review of this cool hotel located in the heart of the city. I was fortunate to stay at the Element several times this year. I have to say the history of this building and efforts in restoration, make the Element a true Gem in the city. The layout of the hotel is interesting; it's not your typical hotel. Unique in design, there are small areas and quiet nooks to network and socialize. This hotel is great for extended stays, business or pleasure. Rooms have a kitchenette and washer/dryers are available for use. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern in design. I have enjoyed the cocktail hour for hotel guests, M-T 6-7pm (I think). This was a nice surprise for patrons. Breakfast is provided on the 2nd floor. I love the communal layout of the breakfast area. The chef serves up a daily dish and there are several food option to choose from. The service at this hotel is personable and extremely accommodating. This hotel is located within walking distance to Comerica Park, Ford Field and a short drive to LCA. Amazing restaurants and food options are within walking distance. Once you're here, don't forget to check out the Monarch Rooftop Club; it is a must see.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Element with four of my friends to celebrate a birthday. I had the greatest experience. The staff was was incredibly helpful and accommodating of our group. We were upgraded to a connecting room with an amazing city view. Additionally, they sent champagne to our room that was waiting for us upon arrival. Laura, who works at the front desk, was so helpful. She had great recommendations for places to go throughout our stay, such as Avalon for brunch and Mad Cap for coffee! At night, we got drinks at The Monarch club (the upstairs bar). The vibe is so cool and the drinks are even better. We were treated with such respect throughout our stay. We will certainly be coming again.

Yelp
I absolutely love Element. We stayed last year for a weekend and everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeeping was gracious, helpful and efficient. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and the rooftop bar is gorgeous. We are staying again this October for a weekend and can't wait!

Yelp
Location, location, location. What a beautiful hotel right in downtown Detroit. The rooms are modern, up to date, and large. All 3 stadiums right outside the window. Tons of great bars and restaurants on the same block, let alone a quick walk. Definitely will be staying here, when in Detroit.

Yelp
This was our first time staying at the Element and we weren't disappointed! The room had a great view of Detroit and was very clean. It reminded me more of a small apartment with the kitchen area. I loved the soap and body wash that this hotel uses as well. The front desk staff was very good as well. You can hear your neighbors in adjoining rooms a little easily here though.

Yelp
Hotel has just opened and needs to figure out a few things (like loud hallways that need carpeting). But breakfast was fantastic! Greeted warmly by Anita who explained the complementary breakfast setup. Chobani yogurt bar, espresso machine etc. The best part was when Anita asked if we wanted the featured breakfast item of sweet potato and chicken hash topped with sunny side up egg. Amazing! Beautiful plate and delicious good. I said I felt as if I were at Dime Store, a hip, wonderful Detroit brunch place. Turns out Chef Brandy used to work there! Stay at this downtown hotel with cool architecture and be greeted in the morning by Anita and Brandy.

Yelp
My family has been here for 3 weeks and it has been the best experience. I don't know where to start. The location is probably the best, seriously the epicenter of Detroit right now. The staff is incredibly friendly. The rooms are clean, safe and happy which is saying a lot since we have a 2 year old.. all around such an amazing place.

Yelp
Beautiful and spacious rooms. The front Lobby attendant I believe his name was James was wonderful, very helpful & knowledgeable. He even helped my cousin and I carry our bags up to the room. What a wonderful place highly recommended.
