A New Hotel Concept Offers Airbnb-Style Features - AFAR

"Opened in June as the debut location for the brand’s Studio Commons concept, this property offers a private, keyed-off multiple-room layout that links four adjacent guest rooms (each about 250–280 sq ft) to a 600–650 sq ft communal kitchen, dining, and living area. The unit functions like a homeshare within a hotel: it sleeps up to eight guests in king beds, welcomes children, and can host gatherings of up to 20 people without sharing the space with strangers. The concept is part of an eco-conscious, short- and long-stay–oriented brand and preserves hotel conveniences such as a saltwater pool, 24-hour fitness center, bike lending, complimentary breakfast, and wine-and-beer happy hours." - Michelle Baran

What a wonderful discovery. We were on our way home to California and stopped for the night. This was our best hotel experience of the whole trip! arge rooms, wonderful amenities kitchenette, an actual healthy options breakfast with real high quality food and a great cup of coffee. The best "free" breakfast we have had outside of Europe. This would be a wonderful place to spend several days we will be back!

Google
Really enjoyed my stay here! Staff was so sweet. Kitchen staff makes an amazing omelet! Plus has a good selection of gluten free options. Love that they offer relaxing teas in the evenings. My only complaints were the layout of the hotel. I had to walk so far to my room! Plus some of the towels had far too much starch!

This was a great experience for our family vacation! We got lost and the hotel staff walked us thru it. The hotel staff is so accommodating, patient and kind. Housekeeping deserves the HHH Awards, the dedication is recognizable by it's excellence! The hotel smells so good as soon as you walk in and you notice the hydroponic tower with fresh herbs and different types of lettuce you may tear off and add to your meals! The pool was fun size for our needs after a long day and outdoor games for family-friendly fun we had a blast! Now let's talk about the wonderful breakfast, the omelettier made us all delicious, fluffy cheese and mushroom buttery omelets. There was quite the breakfast selection of cereals, juices and coffees also there was fruit Bagels toast oatmeal and a yogurt bar with a variety of fresh toppings! We chose to eat our breakfast on the outside patio which completed ambiance. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to stay at this fantastic place!

Google
Nicely sized room with kitchenette, nice and clean lobby and pool area, super nice staff, excellent breakfast offering Greek yogurt with toppings, Dave's killer bread with real peanut butter and other spreads, oak and almond milk for coffee or cereal, real omelettes. Very nice hotel for the price. It's clear management is paying attention.

Google
Beautiful and great place to stay. Kitchenette was an added feature and amazing. However, today Saturday - Breakfast HAS NO EGGS. No protein available at all 😞. French toast, yogurt, white bread, bagels, oranges, multi grains, muffins oatmeal- all high carbs food. Basic Protein who everyone really needs was not available. It was upsetting. They had French Toast - but no eggs today. Last time we were here - there was eggs. 5 stars for everything. Breakfast today Saturday - 3*

Was worried after reading old reviews but this hotel meets all basic needs required for a long stay. Room was spacious with all things needed in kitchen. Breakfast in morning changes daily but is always good. Location is great as well.

Google
Very clean & comfortable room. Breakfast is more than adequate. Conveniently located. Parking is ample but there’s a nightly charge. We didn’t use the pool but it looks quite nice. Just what we needed for a one-night stay. Highly recommended.

Google
This hotel was amazing, the check in crew was super nice and it was super easy to check in. And the room came super set up and is really nice and clean. The couch is a pull out couch which is great for a big family. There is a tv, microwave, and a dish washer. There is a really nice pool with a great view at sunset. Overall our stay was excellent.

Yelp
This is an amazing property! Very clean from the moment we arrived they were attentive and kind. I would like to personally thank Brian Wright for making our stay special with his smile and kindness. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Scottsdale area this should be your place for a short term stay!

Yelp
Rounded down to 3 stars because of the breakfast There are multiple positive reasons to stay at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the location is good, and the front desk staff is helpful. The breakfast experience is not good. The fruit serving bowls are frequently empty and rarely restocked. The hotel is in the "longer stays" category and the daily available options and not what you might expect from a Marriott property. There are some nice details in the rooms, such as a water filter in the kitchen sink.

Yelp
The hotels is really cute and clean . The staff was really friendly but beware of bogus room charges . I got a email that my room charges where $147!!!!! When it should have been $50!!!! So sketchy the girl at the front desk was nice and fixed it !! Some 83 dollar bogus internet charge . Also they ask you if you want a complimentary parking pass when you Che k in and then charge your room for parking at their hotel

Yelp
GREAT overall experience! I am especially thankful for JAYDEN at the front. She allowed us to check in early, which was a lifesaver since we had a very early flight in. She made every possible accommodation for us. She is a very kind person and a diligent worker. As far as the hotel goes... PROS Breakfast provided. The ingredients are better quality than other hotels. They do seem to use real eggs and not liquid eggs. The eggs are made to order. There is also fresh raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. There is a yogurt station, bread/bagel/English muffin station, coffee/juice station, and egg station. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. We had a kitchenette that proved useful. Beds are medium soft. Everything was clean. Location is good. Close to Old Town Scottsdale, lots of good restaurants, Papago Park, and Desert Botanical Garden. I liked the decor. It emphasized living plants and sustainability. CONS No meat available at the continental breakfast Need to pay for parking. Overall I would definitely book here again if we ever were back in the area.

Yelp
The interior is very contemporary and clean and open feeling. There is limited parking on-site but the parking garage is literally right there and they provide you a slip of paper to scan in and out of the garage. Our L-shaped room is not huge but ample enough. The look and feel reminds me of a fancy dorm room for some reason. The quartz bar counter is an upgrade as is the filtered water tap at the bar. There is a large dorm fridge, microwave, wardrobe closet, large desk, plugs for tech, USB plugs etc. The lobby has a cool concrete accent wall. Included BREAKFAST: -- self-service style -- omelette bar with server but only 4-5 ingredients to choose from -- lots of healthy options here -- thin style omelette are tasty, nearly crepe thin -- yogurt bar w/walnut, pecan, almond, coconut, fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, honey -- instant oatmeal -- choc chip muffins -- coffee, oat milk, half/half, OJ, apple juice, cranberry juice that is not tart? -- lots of healthy bagged breads and bagels -- cream cheese -- almond butter -- jams Located on a fairly busy road but we were on the side so not fully exposed and windows must be good because I slept well.

Yelp
Great location and swanky but relaxed hotel with a pool. My main complaint is the pillows are absolutely AWFUL. It's either completely flat feather pillows that have zero support, or rock hard synthetic pillows that will bend your neck. Truly had a miserable sleep. Also the breakfast is a joke and I couldn't get an omelette bc there were 4 people in front and it took 4-5 min per omelette and only 2 at a time so I ate elsewhere. Other than slices of bread and that they had nothing else. Very weak breakfast. The staff for the most part is lackluster. Lacked personality except one girl. The location, hotel ambiance, gym, and for having a pool is great. But they really need to fix the pillow situation. I wouldn't stay again unless they get feather/down supportive pillows found at virtually ALL other Marriott properties including their low tier ones. Hopefully the owner / managers read this. 3 stars for a horrendous sleep, 4.5 if pillows fixed.

Yelp
The outside and the actual area are not that inviting, but the staff was pleasant and the rooms were well designed. The breakfast was nice and the lobby area was clean and spacious. Products in the room were ok and parking was ok. The big miss was no hot tub and the location of the pool made it hard to enjoy in the winter months with no direct sun.

Sherry W.

Yelp
Overall, I liked the facility and room. Both were very clean and spacious. However, the continental breakfast ,cooked daily, was not good at all and they charged us a parking fee without even telling us about the fee when we checked in( Expedia had no mention of a parking fee and on one of their websites under the room description was" free parking".) We would have gladly parked on the street. I called management, left a message with no call back. Very disappointing. SS

Yelp
We have been staying at this hotel since it was built. Maybe five yrs ago? Why? Its consistent, clean and staffed by the best people. It is dog friendly. Has many types of rooms. If you need a kitchen... they have rooms with a full kitchen. They have rooms without the stove but still has the large refrigerator. Then they have smaller rooms with the door room style fridge. I reserved a king standard room. It was on the 4th floor. There was small glitch with that room and they upgraded me to a queen suite that had a full kitchen and refrigerator. It was perfect. The beds are comfortable. The place is very clean. They pump a relaxing scent thru the halls. Its very spa like. There is on site breakfast. You are at the mercy of the chef who only really prepares one thing each day and then offers one or two types of baked goods. They have oatmeal, bagels, cereal, fruit and juice for those who do not want the egg dish of the day. We stay at least three days. Never has it been bad. There are conference rooms, a workout room, a small outside pool and an great bar for a hotel. Staff is always helpful and friendly. I have tried to stay other places when in Tempe. I always end up canceling the other hotel and coming here.

Yelp
My first stay at Element Scottsdale was superb! The lobby area is really attractive and I liked the decor a lot! It has a very international feel and is current and reminds me of hotels I have staying at in London and other European cities. The only thing I would change is to have the Check In area be a longer distance from the entrance doors, because at Check In time it can get very backed up with only one person doing check in on the weekends, and the line and wait is often long. The staff are very friendly and courteous and I really like that Element Scottsdale honors military persons. I also noticed how spacious the hotel corridors are, the extra width is so nice when you are rolling larger suitcases or encounter other hotel guests in the corridors. I booked a King sized bed and the room was nice and I was impressed that the bathroom was bigger and the shower stall was large and helps to make the hotel room feel a bit more apartment like. It's so nice to have a full kitchen. The room was well designed and the multi level window coverings were really nice, the adjustments are so easy and smooth.!! I definitely will stay again at Element Scottsdale at Skysong again!!

Yelp
Just a beautiful facility. Super cool and the landscape design is top. Room is large, comfortable and very functional. Reception staff is just average and that is the only thing prevents the facility to get a 10. This is an update - we stayed here for three days this past week. What we did not expect is a full service breakfast where the staff made fresh omelette. They also have Dave Killer Bread & bagels... Wonderful

Yelp
Very cute trendy hotel right in Scottsdale Blvd. Plenty of food and restaurants nearby. New hotel with great upkeep. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Gym game room and free breakfast.

Yelp
While this hotel was acceptable when it comes to location, parking and cleanliness, we had some minor issues and will not return. There are so many hotels in the area it doesn't make sense. First the good, rooms were clean and the second sink is a plus. Parking seemed to be plentiful, though I think the hotel was mostly empty based on our experience there over two days. We were able to check in early as well Now the not so good: - Our Marriott status typically gets us an upgraded room and/or high floor. We were put on the second floor as far away from the elevators as possible - Speaking of elevators, though there were two it was clear only one was working - There was an incessantly barking dog in a room across the hall from ours on Saturday. Not acceptable, especially when the hotel is not full! - The shower did not drain properly - Continental breakfast is usually a perk my husband enjoys. This one was strange though, there were 4 types of cereal, instant oatmeal packets, a station to make toast, and an omelette station. The issue with the omelette station was the woman who was making them was using her hands to put the toppings in them. No gloves or anything. No thanks. There was also no yogurt, fruit or waffles the day we were there.

Yelp
We stayed here for a night While driving through Phoenix. Very pleasant and homey. Breakfast was great. Definitely keeping this place in my favorite.

Yelp
The first thing I want to say upfront is that the staff here is totally awesome. Super friendly vibe, bent over backwards to get me a good room. And just very nice and down to earth. And this place is super pet friendly. Something that might get me to return as I have a Royal Standard Poodle. The staff told me it's a $50 a night charge for a dog. But after three nights, or $150, the amount is capped. So if you stay a long time with the dog the maximum you'll pay is 150. The hotel itself is fairly new and clean. The element has a cool motif that is eco-friendly, modern, clean with all the amenities you would look for in a place to stay. It's not particularly upscale but I found the beds super comfy. Strangely I found the beds more comfortable than many hotels they charge a lot more money. And I thought it was really cool that they had filtered water directly from the sink. Having a full kitchen with a dishwasher was really cool! And I love the fact they have a walk-in shower. The water pressure isn't the best but it actually works pretty good. And they have free breakfast. The bad. This place is on the outskirts of scottsdale. It's practically Tempe and Tempe is walking distance. It's basically the economically up-and-coming area of Scottsdale. Walking around you'll see lots of pawnshops, a strip club, automotive parts centers, check-cashing places. Last night walking home from dinner a homeless dude was yelling at me. So you just need to be mindful of your surroundings when you're walking around at night. I don't consider it a rough area because hey it's scottsdale. But this isn't the super bougie or luxury part of town. But I found plenty of nice places to eat nearby without having to travel too far.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here and were pleasantly surprised. Clean, well thought out hotel, environmentally friendly, conscious about health and well-being of guests. Nice heated salt water pool, water filters in kitchenette, low VOC paint per signs. Love their mid century modern vibes throughout. Beautiful lobby, friendly staff. 4 stars because I'd would like to see better breakfast options but we did enjoy their cook to order eggs. We will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here 2/24 - 2/26. Upon booking we understood parking was free within parking area of hotel and if parking is not available within hotel parking area free valet parking is available. Day 2 of our stay no parking available, therefore front desk young lady, provided us with a garage slip that included a bar scan on the back with enter & exit code. Front desk lady explained to get free parking & enter the parking garage freely, scan the bar & upon entering & exiting enter the bar code each time then we could freely enter & exit parking garage for free. This was not the case as shortly after our stay (2/28) we were charged $24.54. Contacted front desk & they claimed they returned charge to my card. Parking not returned. About 1 week later called and front desk explained I booked through a 3 party they can't return it to my card I have to contact them. Explained that's not true you have my card on file to return parking fee. Just shady! If, the hotel is so hard up to frivolously charge customers for parking simply indicate parking is not free. It's the small things like this that turn customer's away! Frivolous Over charges! Also, caucasian guy that manages the bar area was very rude to my husband husband thought juice on counter was free upon trying to pour a glass was told hey guy that is not free, rudely! How would customers know especially if hotel already offers & has other same size container drinks options for free on other counter area. It's for a party if drinks were for a party why wouldn't you just indicate drinks reserved. Have a sign displayed. Or simply block off party areas so no one can enter the section to where drinks clearly not free. Ridiculous! These issues will not have me stay here again!

Yelp
In town unexpectedly and needed an inexpensive hotel. The price was so low, that I set my expectations accordingly, but was very happy with the incredible value. The hotel is only 3 years old, squeaky clean, spacious modern lobby, bar and dining area. The free breakfast was surprisingly good, including fresh eggs made to order. The bed was super comfy, as were the pillows. There was large smart tv and desk area if you are there for work. The king room even had a kitchenette area. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Yelp
Very cool and hip hotel, a hipster vibe from decor to amenities. Typical Westin hotel with a hipster vibe and decor. Nice rooms (pillows are too soft) with a great lobby and small bar area. Manager is hands on from bartender to concierge, he is so hospitable and friendly- awesome service! Room is standard Westin with a little bar area, refrigerator and plates, wares and a coffee tea bar. Due to Covid, minimal breakfast grab and go, but great service. Outside pool but no jacuzzi.

Yelp
Booked through a travel website. We got there and they told us our room was no longer available and we had to stay in a hotel in Tempe instead. No call. No email. No warning. They're just placing me in a hotel I haven't reviewed or consented to. I am pissed at this incompetence and lack of regard. Needless to say, I will not be booking them again.

Yelp
I have no clue how this hotel has 3 1/2 star rating certainly because it certainly deserves more! Firstly, it smells awesome, whatever air freshener they use is great! Secondly, it is spotless and expertly maintained. Thirdly, the staff is very nice and accommodating. There is some parking for free, but for $12 (a veritable steal) you get covered parking right across from the hotel. It's decor is minimalist, yet very attractive and welcoming. The pool is tiny, but still nice and very clean. If you need a hotel in the South Scottsdale/Tempe area, this is the place to go!!

Yelp
So disappointed with the level of service that I received today. 3 booking on a pre approval credit card from our home office, east coast. Wade the Assistant GM canceled these 3 rooms with 2 hours notice prior to checkin. Said they were over booked. Wade then offered 1 free night at the courtyard 2 miles up the road and expected these 3 reservations to Then spend the 2nd night back at the element. Here's the issue.. 1. The 3 people checking in had no idea this was happening since they were already in flight and delayed. 2. This was all set up with the pre approval corporate credit card, by the time the people arrived it would have been very late to get another hotel to send the card payment approval. 3. Wade said that he had to offer someone with status to change their reservation which is something they don't make them do. Basically telling me because these three reservations did not have status they were the unlucky ones to get screwed. I think what upset me the most is the lack of empathy that Wade showed. It was one of those "shrug" not much I can do about it conversations. There was no offer of compensation, free night or points, just told me to turn this in to a positive as they would be closer to old town to all the fun things to do... ( they are here to work not to party Wade). Icing on the cake.. the front desk at the courtyard old town rolled her eyes when I asked how often does element do this.. she said often.. Stop over booking, do better with giving notice, have a better alternative, at least pretend like you care that you are causing undue stress on travelers. Shame on you. Positive: while waiting for these 3 travelers and planning alternative hotel options the front desk girls were professional and sweet. I could tell they were ashamed at how this all turned out.. not surprised, just embarrassed. I do not recommend this for any business, group booking that is at skysong. If you book here you might end up at the courtyard due to "overbooking"

Yelp
This hotel was great for the price. I booked this sort of last min and wanted to be close to Scottsdale. It's definitely the very tip of Scottsdale and the surrounds are a little bit sketchy. There was a strip club and smoke shop practically next door. I knew this wasn't going to be walking distance to anywhere I was going so that was a big deal for me. The provide a secure parking garage for $12 a night. There is a decent amount of parking in front of the hotel I could have probably parked at free vs using the garage but I still parked in the garage. When I got there there was a big wedding party leaving so the check in area was a bit crowded but I only waited about 10mins before I got all checked in. The front desk staff was super friendly. I got a king bed room. I was surprised how big the room actually was. There was tons of space and the decor was very modern and cute. The rooms have a little kitchen and seating area, along with a couch. The bathroom was very big and the shower was nice. The pillows on the bed were amazing!!!! I wish I had gotten the brand name cause I'd love to have those at home. One thing I didn't like was it seemed housekeeping didn't do a great job at picking up trash more than half the rooms had bags of trash sitting outside them and this made the halls smell a bit( couldn't notice it in the room). The pool looked nice from our room view but we didn't make it down there cause our trip was short. The breakfast looked decent but I didn't get a good look at it cause we were heading out and didn't stop. We did try to grab drinks at the bar around 3:30 on sat and no one was around to serve us and noon Sunday and the front desk person then told us it was closed on Sunday's. I never actually saw anyone attending the bar the whole trip so I'm not sure if it was ever open or just had very limited hours. Overall the hotel was a great experience and I'd definitely stay again.

Yelp
I stayed at the Element Scottsdale while attending a conference in Scottsdale for a couple of days. I was very impressed with the services and quality of the room provided. There was plenty of space in my room for me to spread out a bit, and the beds were very comfortable. Amenities of having breakfast in the morning to get some food prior to going off to my conference were great as well. The pool area was also quite nice, and allowed time to relax when needed. There were no issues with checking in or out, and the parking garage right across the driveway was very accessible during my stay. I was able to unload everything out of my car on one of the provided carts with no hassle. The staff were probably the best part. They made an effort to ensure that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything that we needed. They were always pleasant and kept us informed of things that were happening. All in all a nice stay at the Element Scottsdale. I would certainly stay here again in the future.

Yelp
Stayed here two seperare times, and enjoyed it both times. The Element skysong is located in a mixed commercial residential area somewhat close to downtown Scottsdale, about 20 minutes from Phoenix airport. It is a bit far from Scottsdale so don't expect to walk to the fun, but a short uber can get you there. They charge for parking, but you can do street parking for free. The element is a relatively new hotel, built less than a year. Small check-in counter but didnt have to wait. Small bar and decent lobby area with a pool as well. Check-in was relatively quick and efficient, stafd was nice. The room itself was good, decently sized and what you expect from an element. Small living room, kitchen with filtered water, bedroom and bathroom. Bathroom was very spacious so plus as well. Large TV, comfy bed, and plenty of space makes it a great place to stay. They had some happy hour when I was there with 1 free drink and some small bites which was great, but they're discontinuing it which reduces the value prop. Gym was decent as well. Overall great value, and may stay here in the future.

Yelp
I WON'T stay here again! The hotel looks great, smells great, is super clean and new... THAT SAID.. here are the negatives: There is no jacuzzi!!!!! I am disappointed cause I love jacuzzis. Our BAD first night experience: We pulled out the sofa sleeper for my daughter and it was still wrapped in plastic. We looked for bedding and there was nothing in the room. I called the front desk and they told me that bedding is available only upon requested, and they didn't have any extra blankets available. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in that didn't provide extra bedding automatically with their sofa sleeper. When I explained that we booked for 2 adults and 1 child with 1 bed and a sofa sleeper, it should be expected that we would use the sleeper... there was Silence... We had to take the plastic off the bed and give our daughter our top blanket. I complained and they said they would bring us a blanket the next day. It never happened!! Bad experience day 2: They only provide 2 bath towels per room even if there are more people staying in the room, so we had to ask fo more towels. It took forever to get the extra bath towels so we had to share towels. Bad Pool experience: took my daughter to the pool. There were no towels in the pool towel cabinet. My husband went in and asked for some towels. 20 min later, they never brought any. So he asked again and they still didn't bring any. By the third time asking, they provided 1 towel and there were 6 people at the pool.. I'm not ok with these experiences.. no matter how nice the hotel looks.

Yelp
Stayed here on my last visit to Scottsdale, was super convenient for me since it was close to the office I was visiting. It is new with a nice gym (small but well equipped) which is a key requirement for me. The reason the rating is not higher is because there was no soap or lotion in the room and it took forever to get it and I had to call a few times.

Yelp
Opened earlier this year so everything is new and clean!!! Cute modern decor. The rooms are spacious. Pool is a little on the small side but functional. Located in a safe and quiet area. The plaza it's in is a mix of new office spaces and apartments. Service is amazing! Stayed here while driving through Scottsdale from Los Angeles to Austin. They gave me a complimentary upgrade to the executive suite for the night. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Scottsdale.

Yelp
Piece of crap... Overpriced by 50% No signage No directions to check in Small check in lane They charge for parking No valet No bell hop Wi-Fi does not work "AT ALL" 500' from elevator to room Small rooms No view No breakfast!!! 250 a night... give me a break! Clean but no charisma! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY LOOK AROUND!

Yelp
Stayed here during a remodel. Really cute little "boutique-ish" hotel. So reasonable, yet it's a new property with very nice rooms and comfortable beds. Wade runs the food & beverage side of the hotel. He's the bartender, the cook at times, he plans and runs the festivities and just really makes your stay the best. You feel like you stepped into Wade's hotel! They are really lucky to have him- he's fun, interesting, he's talented and he cares!! Can you tell we like Wade? Lol! The front desk staff is also nice & friendly. They have a contract with the military, and it's awesome to see and talk to the men and women who serve our country & know that they are put up in a nice hotel. They deserve it!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying during its Grand Opening a few days ago. Being a brand-new building, everything was clean and well organized. The staff was very friendly and offered local, handmade chocolate as a Titanium welcome gift. The contemporary design is crafted into an open, yet lowkey layout. The room was reasonably spacious with a good amount of thought put into multi-purposing the space: Large countertop with sink, microwave, dishes and washer thereof. The breakfast is complementary and offers limited, but quality/healthy choices. As a 'details' person, I appreciate the numerous high-end condiments they stock and the coffee is great too. There is even a griddle station/cook who will make hot dishes to order. This was my first experience at an Element so I cannot compare similar hotels but this stay was a positive experience overall. The main downside is the location; there isn't much going on in the immediate area. With several hundred nights and dozens of stays in the Phoenix area, I would recommend this place if you're looking for value-conscious modern accommodations.

Yelp
The rooms we very clean, pillows soft and had a bunch. The cleaning regiment was reduced as it was COVID time during this post. I would highly recommend using then banquet rooms. They have lots of seating, USB charging and the TV's have HDMI connections to print. They are on the first floor to the left of the lobby. We were here for a soccer tournament and used this room as a review room, team eating room and general chill between games. We found it easy to get bagels for breakfast and dinner at Fate Brewing. I would highly recommend this hotel for teams looking for group stay.

Yelp
Stayed here due to a canceled flight and was weary since I didn't have any clue where I was staying. I arrived pretty late and the front desk associate (didn't catch her name) was super friendly and very helpful in explaining what I needed to do with my vouchers and the whole process for it. The aesthetic of the lobby and room was super modern and appealing. I stayed in a king size bedroom and I loved it! Bathroom and everything was very clean. Breakfast was included, omelette and yogurt station were perfect! Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area!

Yelp
Booked two weeks in advanced, had a long day of travel, got to the hotel late to find out that they overbooked and that I had to go to another (much worse) hotel. The young counter clerk must have been an ASU acting school drop out, he was terrible, incredibly unhelpful or sympathetic. Parking is a pain and it's right next to a strip club. Don't stay here

Yelp
Horrible. Experience. Not only does this hotel not have ANY parking, what little is available has 100 different guidelines and the front desk mentioned threats of towing me if I park in incorrect spots. I'm just trying to sleep, I don't want to figure out a complex science experiment. Get it together. No handicap stalls. No EV charging. Huge disappointment. Wasted an hour trying to stay here.

Yelp
My favorite in the Marriott chains so far. I've been jumping around looking for a per night cost within company policy and still something clean, new and modern decor. This suits the bill. I had a king studio room with an AMAZINGLY comfortable bed, huge TV that is on a movable mount, space for luggage and work spaces, kitchen better than some apartments and Kohler fixtures throughout. Nice bar in the lobby with some barfood items but not really a full restaurant. Great happy hour with a couple free beers or wines with some artisanal cheeses, olives and breads. Free breakfast better than most with a daily made to order option. I'll be back when I can!

Yelp
Stayed here for a canceled flight. Front desk was super nice and helped us get food, toiletries and a cab in the morning. The morning breakfast included an omelette bar which was nice.

Yelp
One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! Beds were SO comfortable, everything extremely clean, eco-friendly, staff very kind, super dog friendly, food was great. Definitely going back!

Yelp
I have had good experiences at the Element Hotels. This one in particular is clean, modern, and I love the decor, and the way the rooms are laid out and appointed. They really know how to make the best use of the space - you don't feel cramped in these rooms they are spacious. Love the kitchen layout, fridge and cabinets. In my room, it's one king bed, a desk, couch, bench. I have my dog with me and I like that they are dog friendly. It was busy at check in yesterday and all of the luggage carts were taken, but aside from that, they seem to keep the hotel clean and running smoothly. Free breakfast in the morning, and happy hour at their bar at night. It's not right in downtown, but I like that it's a little quieter. There is a big parking garage directly across from the hotel. So, as for walking score...not so much for a "city feel" but across the street is a brewery, and walking distance from here are a few restaurants and a craft cocktail bar. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
When I checked in Michelle was amazing! She was professional and showed amazing customer service. Her level of customer service should be that which all employees are measured. (She's the only reason I'm given any stars to the staff.) The next day, I spoke with Allison. I asked, the cost if I wanted to stay an additional night. She let me know, I was paid up with a departure on July 11th. I wouldn't be charged anything additional. Today, when I checked out - I received an alert from my bank. Apparently, the hotel charged me for an additional night. I immediately went back to the hotel and talked with Allison about the charge. All she said was, "Oops! I was wrong. But we charged you." I let her know, if she would have told me I'd be charged...I would have stayed with friends that offered. So upset and disappointed.

Yelp
My plane was delayed and thanks to Southwest they put me up in Elements in Scottsdale, AZ. After waiting and deplaning at the airport for 9 hours I just needed to relax. The hotel entry was very clean and inviting. I was greeted by Allison who gave me a very warm and professional welcome. She quickly processed my room and since my flight was not until 7pm she accommodated me with a late checkout for a reasonable fee. Of course all my hygiene products were packed. Allison asked if I needed any and had everything I needed. A lot of the above mentioned you might say is normal expected behavior, but it has not been my experience post COVID. I checked in around midnight and checked out at 3 pm. None other than Allison checked me out with the same professional kindness and a smile. She had been there all night and half the day. I just wanted to give a public thanks to Allison and the Elements Skysong in Scottsdale for turning a disruption in my travel plans into a pleasant situation. Kind Regards, Keith P.

Yelp
Awful hotel with amazingly rude staff. Wouldn't accommodate my reservation, claimed my IKEA furnished studio was a suite, made checking out same day due to the lacking conditions difficult and just when I thought I was all right staying for less at the Sajuaro, had the gall to complain to my company's finance person and forced me to remove my prior negative review. Well, I left that company, and now I'm leaving my honest review. By the way, you claimed you called the police on me... that was another colleague you woke up in the middle of the night and forced to come to the front desk, demanded a new credit card or you wouldn't let go back into his room. Nice customer service you got there.

Yelp
Beautiful Hotel! Their rooms are spacious & outstanding. Greeted by a very nice gentleman at the front desk, I believe his name was Josh. They have a fully stocked bar, pool & grills, a big gym & many more. I did not want to leave lol, the bed & pillows were so comfortable. The only 2 things I found not so well is paying $12 a day for parking even if your a customer, so I parked on the main street which wasnt bad at all, just no shade to keep your vehicle a bit cooler. The other issue was the cook/chef making breakfast, she was really messy, we arrive 1 hour after they opened for breakfast for their omelette & all the ingredients were already gone, thats just 1 hour after opening, other than that, I have no other complaints. I will absolutely stay here over & over again when in town, i really do love this place.

Yelp
At first this was a great find and I loved my room and all the amenities they had to offer. Yet after a long night I was trying to sleep but it was to hot because there is no fans in the rooms and the bed sheets are quite heavy so I decided to remove my duvet cover to see blood stains. I was mortified when I saw this of course my first thought was if it was from me or on of my friends that were with me. Turned out that the blood wasn't from any of us so I called the front desk to let them know and Marco was extremely helpful and a great person who works for Marriott immediately moved us to a fresh room where he personally checked it for us. Upon check out Marco had let the gm know that I would like to speak with them. I showed the manager the pictures I took and explained to her that it was not from my friends or I. She refused to believe that it was from her cleaning staff and started to ask me if I had asked my friends if they started their period which is completely distasteful in my opinion. So I went back to the room with the general manager and showed her that if it was from one of us then the blood would have been on the duvet cover and the fitted sheets as well as the mattress, which it was not on. So after she continued to deny what I was trying to explain we left. It was unfortunate because the hotel is in a perfect location and is new but the lack of proper management and how this situation was handled was completely incompetent and quite frankly rude in my opinion. I also decided to call and report it to corporate because if it was blood from one of us we would've just asked for new sheets with no questions asked.

Yelp
I ended up here at 11PM one night when the hotel I had booked was locked up when I arrived. I was impressed and the worst part was that I could only stay long enough to sleep and leave. So, I came back for a long weekend on my birthday. The rooms are immaculate. The staff are beyond amazing. The corner snack bar by the front desk that you can grab from and just say, "Add this to my room", is awesome. The feeling of community in the entire lobby cannot be paralleled. Oh, and breakfast isn't basic. Scrambled eggs, hash brown, bagel breakfast sandwich's, eggs Benedict, yogurt bar, and a cold case filled with juice. There should be a special section just to shout out their coffee. All this and it's unbelievably reasonably priced. I can't wait to have another long weekend there. Did I forget to mention the showers???

Yelp
Clean and new. Beds aren't very comfortable and pillows are like air. We requested extra pillows and even with 4 pillows each your head hits the bed. They do have smart TVs and the shower was spacious with fun lighting. Liked having the mini kitchen however the free breakfast was just awful. Sub par even for hotel breakfasts. They offered the same tasteless egg bites every morning with a lovely selection of stale breads you can toast and top with jam that looks like a horde of toddlers recently used (think chunks of food and mysterious goo). We braved the breakfast once and went for exploring Scottsdale the other 4 mornings.

Yelp
Honestly, the kiddos that run this place do what they can. That said, the billing, the bar, the room cleaning is potentially the worst I've experienced from a hotel that has a strip club under it. Over priced, under staffed and halfhearted. Pay the extra $20 per night to stay downtown Scottsdale!!!!

Yelp
The check-in process took forever, they charge for parking in an area that it's hard to justify, then they made me go back out to the car with all my crap to put a card on the dash before getting into the room. They're clearly not customer focused.

Yelp
Wow! I wish I could take this hotel in my suitcase and unpack it wherever I go. This location is just three months new. So, everything is modern and fresh. It is nice to have a new hotel still leave space to move throughout the room, bathroom and open spaces. Great customer service, nice breakfast and details are well appointed. The two, minor, drawbacks are that you have to pay for parking in an area that really should not be pay to park. And, the location. There isn't much around.
