"After some adventuring, perk up at Elements: Books Coffee Beer, where you can sip the house-roasted PRIDE, a medium-dark roast benefiting Equality Maine. As the store’s name suggests, you could also drink a local beer like Rosalita by Barreled Souls while searching for a new novel to keep you busy on the train ride home." - Stasia Brewczynski

"Those meet-ups go down at spots across the 35-acre mill district—places like Elements, which arguably kick-started the town’s creative resurgence when it opened nearly a decade ago, offering the winning combination of book clubs, terrific pastries, their own micro-roasted coffee, and beer from Banded Brewing Company."

Charming bookstore and coffee shop. We enjoyed some coffee and a croissant. Coffee is delicious and baked goods are fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. There is a restroom available, and you must park on the street. Of course, Wi-Fi available and an interesting selection of books as well.

Great coffee! Definitely one of those cozy coffee shops with lots of books!!! Not only do they have coffee and books, but beer and different events too!

It's got everything you could want in a coffee shop/bookstore. Very surprised at their affordable prices and selection. I had a great time, bought a couple books I am excited to read, and enjoyed a good flat white. Perfect way to spend an afternoon.

I love the vibe of Elements. Wonderful cafe, love that they support local authors and act as a community hub. The coffee and bagels are both top notch, but I wish they had a bigger tea selection. I've only ever seen two black tea options, a few green, and a few herbal. As a black tea drinker, I just wish there was something other than earl grey and English breakfast.

Coffee and books plus seasonal baked goods! Wonderful little local book store with diverse selection of books. We really enjoyed the seasonal scone (rhubarb and ginger) on our 1st visit and we're sad that they were sold out of the se when we visited the next day.

Lovely little shop! Stopped in with my boyfriend for coffee. I almost got an espresso drink, but then I saw the pour over roasts and tried the specialty -- their Dionysus Rye Barrel-Aged coffee. Fantastically funky from the rye barrel and delightfully complex! Their staff are lovely and kind, and made sure everyone was taken care of, even when taking time to brew a fresh pour over of coffee -- not a fast process! Definitely a great start to the morning!

If you’re into coffee, books, and brews or wine, Elements might be your type of place. This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in all of Southern Maine. I don’t even reside in Biddeford and will go out of my way to spend some time at Elements — that’s how special it is. I remember the first time I visited Elements last summer. As soon as I walked in, I was taken aback by the incredible atmosphere, extensive coffee menu, and wine + beer options. Seriously, we need more coffee shops offering adult beverages, too. The coffee selection is impressive and — the best part — with some of the best prices in Southern Maine. For instance, you can get a pour-over for $3, and you get to pick your preferred coffee beans. I haven’t seen many other places doing that. The coffee is served in beautiful mugs (if you’re drinking in) that make you feel like you’re at a posh coffee shop. Outside of coffee, you can also choose local beer or a glass of wine, both at excellent prices, too. And that’s exactly what I love about Elements — with what they offer, they could’ve quickly decided to be an overpriced and pretentious coffee shop. We’ve all seen those. But instead, they’re a down-to-earth and welcoming space for everyone. Lastly, the books! They have punch cards where you get one free book after a few purchases, and most of the books are all under the cover price, even though they are brand new. You can get books here at half the price (or more) than traditional bookstores. Elements… please don’t ever change!

Cozy, warm, peaceful environment. Best interior for studying, reading, meditating, or thinking or pondering. I like having a coffee with surrounding books, fragrance of coffee all around the place. Baristas are making true coffees with true coffee beans. They are professionals like the ones i met pro experts in Korea. Awesome place! I want to come back with my family again!
