Eleni's Mediterranean Grille

Food is good enough. Not great. A few times I have been. I order relatively quick stuff egg, lemon soup and spanakopita which I have no complaints about the food, however, I have to wait on usually long for my order possibly because they also have orders ahead of me. But more importantly my last visit after including tip. I paid 20 bucks for a egg lemon soup and a corner piece of spanakopita to go. Way too expensive for what you get but might be seems to be the trend of the times everywhere.

My wife and I came in at 7:42pm and one of the women who was on the grill gave us a huge attitude. She was slamming utensils down when we walked in. I asked the woman at the counter if the woman at the grill wanted us to leave. The woman at the counter said something to that woman and she nodded her head. Then the woman at the counter said “yes.” I was completely floored. We have eaten at so many restaurants in and out of the US. We’ve never been asked to leave because we came in 17 minutes before closing. I then asked the woman at the counter if she was the manager and she said no. I asked to speak to the manager. I told the manager my experience with the woman slamming the utensils at the grill and all she said was they close at 8 and that’s why she’s upset. She said they stop taking orders at 7:45. So miraculously I was floored twice in a span of 5 minutes. That is the worst customer service I’ve experienced in my entire life. Never go to this place. I don’t know if this review is time stamped but it’s currently 7:52. We got to the store in time for that whole scene to go down and me to write this review and it’s still not 8:00. I told the manager I was going to give them 1 star and write about my experience and she said that was fine. Also one more thing, there was food on the grill so it’s not like they were cleaning up when we came in. Just adds more insult to injury.

Truly the best food in town! We order food from Eleni’s at least once a week. Our favorites are the classic pita w/ grilled chicken, the lamb souvlaki pita, and the Greek meatballs, but honestly, everything is so delicious, you can’t go wrong!

Highly recommended. Nice local spot for takeout. Fresh ingredients prepared with care and seasoned well.

Wow! Fantastic Greek food! Love the Mousaka. The presentation is spot on. The restaurant is mostly a takeout location. Elani's passion for cooking and customer service is 2nd to none. The desserts are outstanding. Try the walnut cake as it melts in your mouth. There are 5 little tables here if you want to eat in. The Mousaka came with salad and potatoes. I added a bottle of sparkling water for a cost of $19. Someone asked for Gluten Free something and they said no issue most of our meats are without any gluten. Today I had a nice piece of the spanakopita and it was crispy crust with wonderful flavor inside. This is the best I have had thus far!

Always delicious and the owner is so kind. My favorite food in town - highly suggest the classic chicken pita!

Overpriced for an average-ish meal. If you are looking for a really tasty Greek meal, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Thank you!

Greta and conveniently located town spot. Love their gyro, lamb and chicken kebabs. Spanakopita is very good as well. Lemon grilled potatoes, done well!... taste great. Don't miss.

SO GOOD! I love the mixed grill plate. A perfect meal every time I've had their food. We also had them cater an event for us and everyone raved about the Greek meatballs

I went to Eleni's and was in for a delicious treat. This is a small restaurant mostly for takeout as they only have a few self-service tables. The food though, is delicious! I had the egg lemon soup as I'm an avgolemono fan and this was top notch. The mixed grill included chicken, beef, and lamb. The pastichio was flavorful and reminded me of many years growing up with good Greek diners. Next time, desserts! Tip: Get the soup. Thank me later!

Online ordering process was very easy. The only thing that would've been nice is there's no notification when your food is actually ready. It estimates 40 mins from time of order but it felt like the food had been sitting for a bit when we got there after 40 mins. The food was still delicious though! Highly recommend the falafel wrap.

This little gem in Winchester is some of the best Greek food around. The staff and ambience is great along with the food. I always get the lamb shish kebab with the lemon potatoes. Absolutely amazing. Two thumbs up

This place got the assignment ; ) no really, everything is a 10. Simple menu, traditional prep, with skill, and tlc resulting in consistent and great food. Examples are: greek salad with chicken, best ever...the village salad, also lights out, the grape leaves are the best Ive had and hummus and pitas there rule. The chef/owner/employees, lovely and great. It really does "nail it" and always a 10!

Sounds like they have good food but we won't find out because even though no food was cooking and they were standing around, they quoted us a 40 minute wait time AFTER we ordered. Update... it actually took 20 mins and the food was very tasty. We were about to refund when the owner came over.

Great place for Mediterranean food. I had the gyro and grilled chicken. Both flavorful and the salad / vegetable was fresh.

Fantastic food in an elegantly appointed dining room. We sat at the bar and had the shishito peppers in tomato sauce with feta - outrageously good! We also enjoyed the octopus which was perfectly prepared as was the baked eggplant. The elegance of the white tables cloths. Quality glassware and even higher end silverware makes this perhaps the finest dining spot in Woburn!

Authentic Greek food, fresh & very well prepared. Sometimes a little slow to fill an order, but that's because they cook to order. Fair prices.

Came here on a whim after getting nails done up the street and happy I did, the gyro was very tasty. Meat was hot and shaved nicely in a fluffy pita and the tzatsiki was good. It took a bit longer than I expected - 15 mins, but I'll call the order in next time when I'm back for nails.

I did not bring lunch the day I got food from Eleni's so looked on yelp for Mediterranean food, Eleni's popped up sold ordered, went to pick up as there is no delivery.,parking can be tricky but worth it, souvlaki beef & souvlaki lamb comes with Greek (fresh) salad you pick rice or potatoes had each for each order.,pita bread absolutely delicious meat was like butter smooth, tasty, cooked perfectly., as I am writing this review craving it now., my fiancé is Greek from Greece he felt like he was home., sure will be ordering more often!, nóstimo epistrépste xaná!

Wow! Freshly prepared, delicious mediterranean food. Ordered the falafel wrap and the chicken kebab plate - both were so yummy! Falafel wrap was much larger than expected, generous amount of falafel, high quality mixed greens with the right amount of sauce all wrapped up in a fresh pita. Chicken kebab plate was served with rice, french fries, pita and two skewers of chicken perfectly spiced layered with onion, peppers and tomatoes. New favorite spot!

Excellent Greek restaurant in a comfortable, elegant setting. We were fortunate to find this Greek restaurant in Woburn and tried it only a couple of months after it opened. For an initial go, best was a selection of appetizers and a bottle of one of their excellent Greek wines to go with them. Horiatiki was delicious with an original touch: capers to add a sour taste to go with the feta and olive oil; never seen that before but clearly an inspired thought from Eleni's kitchen. Eggplant salad and gigante beans were also excellent. Looking around at other tables, there are many spectacular dishes worth trying at our next visit, especially the Greek meatball appetizer or the lamb shanks. Finished with a double dessert: galaktoboureka and baklava. The galaktoboureka was delightfully light, baklava heavier but not overly sweet and very good. Regrettably, no Greek coffee available (yet?) to go with these two. It's not easy to find a good Greek restaurant and we've often had to go far afield. Eleni's is outstanding, one of the best I've seen and that it can be like that only two months after opening shows how well run it is. Parking may be tight, there are a few spots in the back and there's some parking on the side streets but this place looks like it's going to be very successful and parking will soon become an issue. Well worth coming at an off-hour to get in, more so if they start serving Greek coffee to go with the Greek desserts

small winchester cafe --exceeds expectations ! delicious wraps cooked fresh, tasty dressings and i've eaten lot of mediterranean food. don't walk by--go in and eat.

I had the most delicious Greek falafel pita from here. The falafel was moist and delicious, the yogurt sauce such a great compliment. I can't wait to go back and get it again!

The salad was terrible. I ordered 2 greek salads with chicken. Good thing i checked before i left. No chicken. The pita bread was stale. Who puts artisan lettuce mix on a greek salad. The owner was a scowly old guy behind the counter staring down the help. Sad experience

Always 5 star food. Today ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat. The Greek salad has high quality mixed greens compared to the standard iceberg lettuce. Sometimes it takes longer to prepare but the quality is too notch!

WOW! A really great take-out meal in downtown Winchester! First, great customer service on phone, AND 3 reserved parking spaces for pick up. (REMEMBER this is the Covid era). We ordered the kebabs, with rice and salad. The pita bread was like nothing I've ever had before! Soft, chewy, warm with a hint of spice-not the thin tough flavorless cardboard stuff! Yummie! The Chicken kabob was marinated and grilled beautifully, saturated w/ flavor. Dinner was great! BUT lets get to the important stuff: Dessert! We had the baklava (sp?). Soft rose water mixed w/ honey -not too sweet- saturated filo dough w/ just the right amount of walnuts. Growing up w/ Greek and Lebanese neighbors, I know my baklava even if I can't spell it! This was the real deal, just fantastic. Therefore: Eleni's is TOOOO YUMMIE!!

I freaking love this new spot in Winchester. The gyro plate is hands down one of my favorite take out meals, if not my favorite, that you can get in this area. Do yourself a favor and see for yourself!

I went by twenty minutes before they closed and the owner refused to make a wrap for me. What kind of restaurant do you know that's like that? I bet you can't think of many, since it is absurd. Lousy customer service. Happy to take this down if you can talk me out of it.

Really glad to have this new spot near my house as I usually drive to Lexington's Nick's Place for grilled chicken kebab salad and to Roksanna's in Watertown for an excellent lamb kebab. Eleni has a great location and wonderful menu. Yet, I will have to keep driving out of town for my lamb kebab. I went today for the first time and ordered a lamb kebab, plated, w rice, greek salad, dressing and pita. The vegetables were fresh and delicious. The lamb was a little gummy. The rice was kind of plastic prompting my husband to speculate what they could have done to maintain it looking fresh. I did not like the pita bread as it is thick ( I usually drive to Sofia Bakery in Watertown to buy fresh pita bread). I also ordered a tzatsiki. It was really good. The pita bread that came w it was not fresh. Overall, because I rather buy local and do not drive for takeout, I am going to try again. I will be ordering their greek salad w grilled chicken and will keep my fingers crossed hoping for the best. The portions are huge and the prices low. Perhaps they want to cater to high school wrap eating kids.

Finally tried this place a couple weeks ago and have been back 3 time since My favorite so far is the classic pita with chicken. I'm not normally a huge meat eater but was not a huge fan of the falafel. Hummus was also only okay everything else excellent. Chicken and Taziki sauce/Greek dressing have great flavor and the veggies are very fresh, homemade pita is also super yummy. Food tastes a lot like you're eating at someone's house. (In a gold way) My partner says this his new lunch spot because he's so obsessed. He's pretty critical but said their rice is the best and fluffiest he's ever had. He's been trying to recreate it at home ever since but can't get it quite as good they do We also get French fries for my 2 year old and those are really good too. Also best baklava I've ever had! It's clear they make everything fresh from taste alone that being said will have to wait a bit 20-30 mins to get food after order placed IME

The gyro pita is the best sandwich I have ever had. It is also cooked fresh and given warm!

I finally had the chance to try Eleni's today. I ordered the falafel wrap & an order of fries. I love that their fries are crispy & not soggy like some restaurant's fries. My falafel wrap is very favorable. Lettuce, onions, roasted red peppers, tzatiki sauce, & of course the falafel. I can tell that they actual care about their food. I will do really be a retiring customer. I highly recommend it

Always fresh and high quality food. This place really cares about the quality of their product. There is sometimes a long wait if you order in the middle of their lunch-hour rush, but it's worth the wait.

Picked up two Gyros, one Greek Salad, and one Fig Salad. Everything was sumptuous and very fresh. No wonder there is a wait, because the secret is out. This is the place to go for everything Greek. And it's definitely worth the wait.

Ordered the lamb souvlaki pita, it's essentially a lettuce pita. It is overloaded with lettuce and a minuscule amount of meat. I miss the old Greek Grille

We got takeout and it was fresh & delicious!! The falafel plate, veggie wrap, and gyro were all good. The dressing and tzatzaki were really tasty, and pita bread was good too. We're excited to have a great place for Greek in the area!

I got lamb souvlaki pita and a side of fries with feta and tzaziki for dinner last night. The woman on the phone gave a heads up that they were busy and it may be up to an hour. I didn't mind, but the food was already ready when I arrived early. Their service was great and the food delicious. I'm usually not into topped fries but the fries with feta is a must try! Glad I found this place and their location is so convenient. I will definitely be going back!

Wow, what a gem! We ordered the Pastichio, the Mixed Grill, the Lemon Soup and Baklava. It was like Yiayia made it special just for us. If you want authentic Greek food with extra large portions at reasonable prices, this is your place. Thank you Eleni's we will be back.

My best friend/roommate brought me a chicken pita wrap last night. I'm eating it now and it is beyond yummy. Plenty of chicken, sauce, lettuce , tomato. Absolutely delicious! And the owners seem lovely!!

Amazing Greek food, and waited less than 10 minutes for my falafel wrap. The pita bread is so fresh and the portion was so large one wrap lasted me for lunch and dinner. Will definitely go again

Just simply amazing! Truly home cooked, authentic Greek food made with love. And for such a reasonable price! I'll be back for sure...and probably in less than a week. Highly recommend the chicken meatballs, spinach pie, baklava and lemon chicken soup to start with.

Fantastic, delicious, FRESH food! The mixed grill and the veggie wrap were excellent, best quality greens and veggies (and fries!) we've been served anywhere. Huge portions and food that gets better the next day. Can't wait to go back and try more!

My wife and I have been here four or five time in the past couple of months and we have had great experience each time and last night was no different. I have tried, the Greek salad with added lamb, the lamb shank dinner, the Greek wrap, and lamb souvlaki pita. All were excellent. The homemade homus and tzatziki are the best around! If you're looking for a healthy, delicious alternative to Friday night's pizza routine, go to Eleni's Mediterranean Grille. They are usually very busy on Friday and Saturday night and the wait time can run an hour for your order to be ready, but it is definitely worth the wait!

Very cute place with excellent fresh food. I had originally ordered for delivery but after they made my order twice -- and gave it to the driver twice -- with no show I felt bad and drove there a couple days later to try them out. Glad I did. If you like Greek check them out. You won't be disappointed.

This place is great! We love getting lunch from here and the family is so nice! Highly recommend the Greek wrap and Greek salad. So much better than a boring sub...
