"A recent one I had at the brand-new Eleni's in North Woburn may take the prize this year. Everything — the pastitsio, moussaka, giant beans in sauce, saganaki, bread with feta crumbles and olive oil, and seafood pasta — was top-notch, and it’s nice to see they’ve expanded from their original (mostly) takeout location in Winchester to this casual upscale full-service restaurant (with a full bar, by the way)." - Erika Adams

Clean space and nice staff. The price is a bit high for the portion. I got a lamb kebab and it was a bit over cooked (The waitress didn’t ask how I’d like it cooked). The food was a little too salty.

Eleni's Restaurant in Woburn, Massachusetts is a popular Greek eatery. It's known for its delicious and authentic food, with highlights like lamb shank, spinach pie, and stuffed grape leaves. The service was friendly and attentive, creating a casual and welcoming atmosphere. A great choice for Greek cuisine in Woburn. Thank you for offering an elevated experience in Woburn for the locals so they don't have to drive too far for authentic Greek food

I don't give out 5 stars, or even 4 stars easily. these should be reserved for above average spaces, and I want my reviews to be useful to those reading them. I have this at 3 stars = average for the genre. Ambience: Was noisey, can use some acoustic treatment as it was busy and hard to have conversation. Otherwise, music and space was bright and pleasant. Food. SPINACH PIE was best I ever had. it's a must try. this deserves the 5 stars. My LAMB over orzo and vegetables and sauce was very good. Meat cooked perfect, falling off the bone and retained some moisture. My father ordered the COMBO PLATE to sample what is essentially street food. disappointing. The Greek meatball was near raw inside. Ground beef should be cooked through. he asked for a replacement cooked more thoroughly... they seemed a little irritated, but quickly accommodated and came back with a much better cooked meatball. Lamb Kabob was good. chicken meatball was quite dry - he did not finish. My wife had the SALMON cooked quite well. DESSERT We split a nut and fruit cake dessert. was quite heavy, but I really enjoyed it. It is served on a hearty bed of cinnamon. Being a lover of cinnamon, I was quite pleased. Too heavy for one person though. Over all, for a full house, they seemed understaffed and as the space filled (father's day weekend) our service attentiveness became more sparce. This is the plight of so many restaurants post pandemic. Kudos to our server for maintaining so many people. So over all a mixed review. Average for the genre. Potential for growth and with a few improvements would easily get 4 stars from me.

If you're searching for authentic Greek cuisine, look no further than Eleni's Greek Restaurant in Woburn, Mass. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. We started our meal with the grilled octopus, and it was nothing short of perfection. Each bite was tender, flavorful, and expertly grilled, leaving us craving more. For my entrée, I chose the stuffed eggplant, a vegan-friendly dish that exceeded all expectations. The eggplant was sliced lengthwise and topped with a mouthwatering combination of onions, garlic, peppers, tomatoes, and a medley of herbs. The flavors were harmonious and absolutely delicious. My husband opted for the Mediterranean salad as his starter, and it was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The salad was generously sized and packed with the freshest ingredients, making every bite a delight. For his main course, he selected the mixed grill, and it was a triumph. Each piece of meat was grilled to perfection, wonderfully seasoned, and bursting with flavor. Eleni's Greek Restaurant is a true gem for anyone who loves Greek food. The quality and authenticity of the dishes transported us straight to the Mediterranean. Even though we are from Maryland, we will undoubtedly make it a point to return to Eleni's every time we are in the Boston area. If you haven't been yet, make sure to visit this incredible restaurant for a culinary experience you won't soon forget!

We had a beautiful day hosting our friends Bridal shower in Eleni's private dining room. We had about 14 guests and the room was so cozy and perfect for the event. The room is on the other side of the main dining room so it felt extremely intimate, like we rented out the whole restaurant. The staff setup a beautiful buffet display with an amazing selection of food and a mimosa bar. The food here is absolutely incredible, authentic Greek food, there is nothing better that this in MA! My favorite are the chicken meatballs, spinach pies, and tzatziki hummus, I luckily was able to pack a couple of boxes to take home. The staff is incredible, friendly, and we're so helpful with anything we needed while we were getting our decorations together. Eleni herself is amazing and was so welcoming to us all. We had a great time and would recommend anyone hosting an intimate event to book here. I will definitely be coming back soon!

I got a Gyro sandwich, it was greasy. The quality was ok but the portion was small. No siding comes with it.

Google
1st time at Eleni's and had great service and food. Arrived before the rest of our party and grabbed a drink at the bar. Wonderful lady serving us at the bar, manager, I think, gave us a review of the menu that we really appreciated. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
It's really so nice to have a restaurant with such delicious food served in a pretty atmosphere open for lunch! We enjoyed grilled octopus, Greek shrimp in tomato sauce and a couple of beautiful salads before sharing a fabulous wedge of baklava. All of it made us swoon. The service is attentive and the food is reliably scrumptious. We are so lucky it's in the neighborhood!

Robert L.

Yelp
Beautiful. The place has an upscale yet cozy feel that is hard to find. Great place to bring a date or your spouse for an intimate dinner. The food was good and reasonably priced. Wait staff was attentive and the kitchen was quick. Super nice place!!

E M.

Yelp
So happy they expanded to a sit down restaurant. The food is just as good as the original takeout location in Winchester. Always a fantastic meal, can't go wrong!

Pete D.

Yelp
Tried out a grilled veggie pita. It was adequately sized for lunch, and had good flavor from the grilled vegetables, feta, and Greek dressing. The pita bread was fresh. The restaurant has a handful of parking spots in back located in a small private lot.

Sharrun N.

Yelp
We had a relaxing dinner with friends. Tge service was there when we needed it and left us to chat as long as we wanted. We went based on Yelp reviews and we were very pleased with our meals.

Jen R.

Yelp
We stopped for a quick lunch: elegant little restaurant. Husband ordered the Greek Salad pita with chicken - he said it was fantastic: moist, flavorful chicken with clean crunchy salad. My gyro pita was also delicious. Server was professional, courteous and very efficient even though she appeared to be managing all front tables. Would definitely return if in the area and highly recommend!

Fatboy S.

Yelp
Strong 4 stars from me. Food was really good. Service was great. Place was spotless clean. Would definitely return when in the area.

Louis F.

Yelp
The food was very good fresh and well prepared. The staff is new but they were eager to help. Nice to have a Mediterranean style restaurant with good Greek food locally. We had a nice time and left with our bellies full of!

Boaz M.

Yelp
Amazing food, everything was terrific. True to Greek flavors with their personalized touch. The place is pleasant , white tablecloth and silverware feels upscale without the price tag Terrific service. Authentic music innthe background at just the right volume. You can carry a quiet conversation and still enjoy it. Added to my list for many future returns!

Deb E.

Yelp
My husband and I have driven by this restaurant over and over and finally decided to go for dinner tonight. The food was absolutely delicious! We started with Chicken Lemon Soup and Spinach Pie and he got Gyro Dinner Plate and I got the Moussaka ... being 1/2 Greek, I am very picky about eating it in a restaurant but let me tell you, it was some of the BEST Greek food I have eaten that is not homemade. And the service and staff were excellent as well! Can't wait to go back to try some other favorites!

Yelp
From the moment I walked into Eleni's, I knew I was in for an exceptional dining experience. This restaurant is a true gem in Woburn that exemplifies the rich flavors and authentic ambiance of Greek cuisine. As someone who values atmosphere, I was immediately struck by the tasteful decor and welcoming ambiance. Everything was spotless, and the staff greeted me with warm smiles that instantly made me feel at home. I opted for the Gyro sandwich, and it was nothing short of perfection. The meat was succulent and seasoned to perfection, tucked into a soft pita and topped with fresh vegetables and a heavenly tzatziki sauce. Every bite transported me to a seaside taverna in Greece. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered fantastic recommendations, and ensured our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. Eleni's offers a reasonably priced menu, making it not only an excellent choice for special occasions but also for any day you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary. If you're in Woburn and looking for an unforgettable meal, Eleni's is a must-visit. This restaurant is not just a place to eat; it's an experience that should not be missed.

Jacinda F.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Went here for lunch. Need to try dinner next! Best hummus I ever had.

Diana N.

Yelp
Eleni's was a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a great meal with great service. We enjoyed whipped feta cheese and grape leaves for apps. For my meal, I had the mixed grill and loved it! Service was super and our waters were never empty. Parking is limited behind the restaurant but there was plenty of street parking the time that I went.

Michael C.

Yelp
Amazing Greek food ( I'm Greek) and the Kritikos (bourbon) martini is incredible. Best Tzatziki I've ever had. Grape leaves are incredible. Greek meatballs as well. Fan favorites for dinner the lamb chops and pastitcio.

Ian W.

Yelp
Eleni's opened their Woburn location last week on Main St, just north of 95/128 and Applebee's. They serve up Greek and Mediterranean cuisine in a casual formal setting. The place offers ample table seating (linen table cloths) and seating up at the bar. I had initially stopped by about three weeks ago, but they were not open for business yet. I stopped by for dinner recently. I asked for a menu to look at and reviewed the choices before deciding to eat in. I sat up at the bar and placed an order for the Moussaka dinner ($20 plus tax) served with Greek salad and choice of starch (I chose lemon roasted potatoes). I was given bread with my meal and the moussaka and sides were served on a big square plate. The lemon roasted potatoes were very hot, but not covered in lemon sauce like I had earlier in the week at another new Greek restaurant in Waltham. The side salad had fresh greens, tomato wedges, kalameta olives, pepperoncini, feta cheese, and light dressing. The moussaka was a thick piece layered with bechamel, eggplant, potato and ground beef. The moussaka was very hot outside, tasty, and very filling to eat, but as I was about done eating, the meat was a bit cool in the center. I decided to get a to go box for the rest of the food, so I could zap it later for a late night meal at home. I did not order dessert, since I had enough food and I was going to the trampoline center afterwards. The check before tip was $21.40 before tip. The service at the bar here was prompt and attentive (5 stars). As for moussaka or any layered casserole dish in a prep kitchen, I would use a food thermometer before serving off. I would probably try the Cod Plaki or the Pastichio on the next visit to Eleni's Woburn.

Yelp
Just wow! Food, service, atmosphere all as good as it gets (not fancy/chic, but classy and understated). My hub and I ordered some very classic Greek dishes. We live in somewhat of a Greek food desert, so we were both excited to order some old favs when we finally got here last weekend. Our stuffed grape leaves appetizer was the best I've ever had. Big, tender (almost fluffy), meat and rice filling that melted in your mouth. The light lemon sauce they were served in was perfect. I could have happily swum in it. My youvetsi was again melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The orzo in delicious, silky red sauce and lamb shank so luscious you could practically slurp it. My husband had pastitsio. He was super happy with it and gobbled up every last bite of a huge portion. Finally, our server was just a genuinely nice person and great at her job. I didn't like the glass of wine I initially ordered and she immediately took care of it and we found a different wine that was much more to my liking. No issues. Happily remedied. All around great experience! We'll be back for sure!

Jim M.

Yelp
Delicious gyro at a good price. Not a ton of Mediterranean spots around, so this has quickly become my favorite in the area. Nice ambiance to sit down as well.

Yelp
Food is outstanding! Fresh, delicious, and filling. Staff of 2 at lunch and they were overwhelmed -- definitely need support in the service area. We will return and consider for catering. However, expect a long slow wait for your incredible meal. Don't miss the Galaktoboureko for dessert

Zhijing Y.

Yelp
Amazing food! So tasty and just the right amount! The waitress was so nice and helpful in answering all our questions. The place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We have discovered the restaurant a month ago, since then we have brought our parents and friends over to enjoy as well.

Paul P.

Yelp
Went there for lunch with my wife. The food was amazing. Looking forward to going back for Greek night with music and dancing. Jordan was great, informative and friendly. I can see why the reviews of Elenis rate 5 stars.

Jose R.

Yelp
The wife and I and the kids went to this restaurant last night. I will say the hummus, the whipped feta, the spinach pies. Every food we had was out of this world beautiful place nice for a group or romantic dinner, service was very quick everything was done right they brought coloring books to my kids, it was a great experience and very reasonably priced

Dan J.

Yelp
The Cod was fantastic. It was on top of some really good potatoes. The hummus was some of the best I've had in a while.

Nane A.

Yelp
Great service and food. Nice and comfortable environment. A very good Greek restaurant

Ray V.

Yelp
During our first visit they were still "working" the service aspects, but so happy to report those issues are in the past. Service was excellent and the atmosphere outstanding for this small restaurant on the edge of North Woburn. The roasted shishito peppers in tomato sauce with feta were OTT! we also loved the grilled octopus and the baked eggplant was exquisite. Will definitely be on our "regulars" list when in the area or the longing for " Mediterranean" strikes!

Matt M.

Yelp
Somewhat below average, and pretty small portions. It wasn't bad, just nothing to get excited about.

Julie P.

Yelp
Had a great night with a group of 6 here on Friday night! There are a lot of choices on the menu for drinks, apps, and main course. It was fun to choose from the Greek wines! There is a main dish option for vegetarians (eggplant), plus many of the apps are vegetarian friendly. Overall great service and food!

Ron H.

Yelp
Food, from appetizers to entrees and desserts, were wonderful, and service was excellent. Nice ambiance and noteworthy cleanliness.

Alex R.

Yelp
Great place great food. Grape leave with lemon sauce is really tasty. Little bit expensive but worth it.

Marci C.

Yelp
We have seen this place but never visited. We decided to have dinner there last weekend. We ordered the eggplant dish and the salmon. Both were very good. The salmon was fresh, the lemon potatoes tasty and the spinach was flavorful. For dessert we had baklava which was a very generous size. Service was a bit slow. The waitress was also the bartender which seemed like a lot of work. We will definitely return.

M T.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner with 20 friends. Service was amazing, friendly and very accommodating. Eleni is the best host and lovely all around. All food came at once, it was beyond delicious. I cannot praise enough this place. Highly recommend it!

Stephen W.

Yelp
Simply great, My son found a listing for this relatively new place, on line. Its a little bit out of the way, on the Woburn / Wilmington line... we gave if them a try, we're amazed by the quality of the food, My son is a big fan of Pasticcio, (I never was) But now have had this dish here twice! Eleni makes, just about everything homemade, & it shows, It's fun exploring th' extensive menu and the room is a lovely and quiet place, especially at off hours... Chris & Eleni have got it together! Check it out ~ It's not going to be a secret much longer. The Dude

Valerie S.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The hummus, tzatziki, and whipped feta were incredible. There are several menu items I need to go back and try.

Jim D.

Yelp
I live in FL and come up to the Woburn in the summer. My wife being out of town I eat alone at the bar. There had had been a restaurant at this location (1mile north of Rt 95 on Rt 38 so the front looked hardly changed. However, you entered into a very pleasant and large well decorated and very inviting restaurant The tables are covered in white tablecloths and the restaurant has a quiet environment. You are greeted when you enter and directed to your table. I was suspicious of the menu as the prices seemed extremely reasonable. I was wrong the food was outstanding and least one of the better Greek restaurants in Greater Boston if not the best. They had a selection of Greek beers to order and a complete wine and liquor selection..I had Lamb Shank which included lemon potatoes and a great sauce with puréed vegetables plus an outstanding Greek Salad for only $22. For desert I had their version of Galaktoboureko which was excellent and seemed cooked to order. Most Greek restaurants prepare it in a pan and serve a slice sometimes warm or cool. The service staff was excellent and made you welcomed. Being Greek and coming from a family that was in the restaurant business I appreciated everything at Eleni's and would high,y recommend it!

Pam C.

Yelp
Overall it was a great experience. Went with a friend and sat at the bar. Place is nice...very bright-maybe a little too much so. The service was great. Started off with whipped feta which was delicious! Also had the falafel which was good. The lemon chicken rice soup was excellent and a big portion. Had the pastsisio for the main course..very tasty! This came with a Greek salad and a side of potato salad..tons of food! My friend got a lamb gyro plate which he thought was ok, but the lamb was a bit dry. The drinks were good-I tried a couple of Greek beers and my friend had the Woburn Martini which was like an espresso chocolate combination..will definitely be back!

Margo N.

Yelp
We went for dinner at Eleni's Restaurant with a group of friends. We love Greek food and had high expectations. We were disappointed as the food was just OK and we have had better. Our waitress was the kindest person, and she tried her best. However the owner was the least bit accommodating and very rude. For us all this was the first and last time at Eleni's.

Lynne A.

Yelp
Wonderful authentic Greek food! My family and I have had the moussaka, gyro plate and pastisio and all were excellent. The roast potatoes are so good and comes with most of the meals as does a very fresh Greek salad. I am looking forward to trying everything on their menu. They have a nice cocktail selection and bar. Our servers have always been kind and attentive. This is a real gem in Woburn and am so happy to support a really good local independently run restaurant!

Leia S.

Yelp
This place is amazing, it is my new favorite restaurant in the area. The service is friendly and attentive, we have been here a few times by now and they always remember us. The food is incredible, the lamp chops with garlic shrimp is my favorite. The lemon roasted potatoes are also delicious. I also love that they give you free bread with olive oil mixed with feta - it's a great touch! Thank you Eleni's!

Donna P.

Yelp
We've had take out from the Winchester location and we're thrilled to try the Woburn location. The food is great, the service is friendly/helpful and atmosphere/decor, with bar is very nice space to enjoy dinner. You are served bread with a whipped feta oil dip that is addictive. We ordered a sampler of 3 apps, lamb kabob, greek salad, falafel and zucchini fritter - plenty of food and a few leftovers to take home Everything was delicious and a special shout our on the falafel - it was moist and flavorful - I'd get again for sure. Enjoy :)

Stacey C.

Yelp
The mousaka and pastitsio were delicious! I picked up our meals to take home, but the restaurant was so pretty, I will bring my husband back to fine in soon!

Despina M.

Yelp
Today my family and I went to Eleni's! the food and service was fabulous. We ordered Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) Grilled Octopus, Chicken Shish kebab, Baby Lamb Chops, Lamb shank and Gyro plate. Everyone enjoyed their meal! The two young servers that waited in us were polite and helped make our dining experience great! Great food, I highly recommend it.

Nancy W.

Yelp
Just go do not think anything more needs to be said. This restaurant is the perfect combination of food, service, and ambiance. By the way.,leave room for dessert.

Becky Z.

Yelp
This is the best Greek restaurant I have been to in the Greater Boston area. The food is authentic and delicious, and the service was fantastic. We only just discovered it and will definitely be going back regularly.

Jj M.

Yelp
We came here for lunch! OMG Gyro was unbelievably delicious. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Roasted lemon potatoes were out of this world. Mix Grill with lamb kebab, sausage, chicken, and lemon potatoes was so tasty. You have to try this restaurant. If I could give it 10 stars I would. service is impeccable and the restaurant is very clean

Charles T.

Yelp
We experienced the perfect lunch today, it was sublime and the owner, Eleni as our matre'd on entry. All the served items, stuffed egg plant and lamb skewers were as prepared and plated as well as possible. The service was timely and always prompt on request. The interior of the restaurant is very nicely, handsomely appointed. I highly recommend for lunch and dinner where Eleni's is poised to deliver cuisine at a very high competence level.

Sue G.

Yelp
Parking here is on the street and can be difficult to obtain based on time of day. The decor is simple but lovely with modern accessories and linen tablecloths. Although we did not sit at the bar, the stools at the bar were upholstered and look comfortable. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, including the restroom. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. We went specifically for the lamb shank. Bread was served before our meal. It was tasty and plentiful. We both had lamb shank. Hubby had his with lemon roasted potato and a salad. I had mine with broccoli and rice with meat sauce. The lamb was in a tasty tomato and vegetable sauce. There was more than enough broccoli, rice, and salad for two people. Our server checked on us throughout the meal but was never intrusive. The lamb was terrific. The rice with meat sauce was ok. I think the meat sauce was not seasoned enough for my taste but I brought it home and had it for lunch today with a little more seasoning. I don't really have a complaint. However, with that being said,. I do think all the food was just warm and not really hot enough. I hope they do well at this location. Lots of restaurants have come and gone from that corner. I'll go back again. Next time I hope that the temperature of the meal will have improved.

Anne P.

Yelp
My husband and I planned a last minute (about 10 days notice)birthday dinner (60!) for 17 people. Eleni suggested ordering appetizers a few days ahead so that they would be ready within the first few minutes of arrival. She also let me taste some wines ahead of time so I could order for the tables. We arrived and were so excited to see she had prepared a beautiful gold and white balloon arch with happy birthday on it. She and the staff went above and beyond making sure each guest ordered their meal answering many questions along the way. I also want to acknowledge that we had requested, if possible, a non-alcoholic beer which they don't typically carry. Eleni again went out of her way and found a Greek NA beer which my husband enjoyed. Of course the food was excellent, choices varied. I cannot recommend this place enough. Run, don't walk, to Eleni's where everyone is treated like family.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
First let me say that I love the food here. It is what has kept me coming back again and again. The waitstaff is young but very accommodating and attentive. Grape leaves are divine, i always get the salmon and is cooked to perfection. One of the people in my party irdered lamb medium rate and sent it back twice for being overcooked. She ate it after we had all finished but would have definitely liked it cooked less. She had gotten the same dish, several times before and it was cooked perfectly. Also, we asked for extra sauce with the grapeleaves but were told that they could not do it. Also, when we asked for extra tzatziki sauce, they said it would be an extra charge. There is a lot of restaurant competition out there, sometimes it is the little things that make you not want to go back to a place. I hope they tweak a few things, and if they do, this business will thrive. Oh, and it's super clean inside. Definitely a bonus!

Sarah Y.

Yelp
Excellent friendly service, delicious high quality (fresh) greek food! The restaurant ambiance is nice - not too loud or overwhelming. We will be back!
