"Praveen Prasanan of Shivas Bar and Grill opened this spot in the former Buzzbrews space in January. The menu is traditional Indian fare, and there are a few eye-grabbing dishes to try. Order the fish amritsair wrap (or make your own wrap from an extensive list of proteins and sauces), the chicken tikka salad, or saag chana." - Courtney E. Smith

I implore you to go and try this experience for yourself. We had in our group covering 5 generations and a chef from a star restaurant with us. From the moment you walk in, there is an other worldly elegance and yet a relaxing atmosphere that defies explanation. We tried appetizers and many entrees that were each unique and incredibly packed with flavor in each bite. We were able to choose our heat level from 1 to 5 for our food. The menu is packed with items to fit every palate with a delight. Each plate that arrived had a completely different flavor and we all couldn't decide which one we preferred. We all filled our plates with a family style of offerings we selected and I confess it's one of the top favorites from each group member. We not only will be back but we cannot wait to go again. The service and attention was outstanding with attention to every person seated. The liquor lisence should be approved to compliment the dishes. You will not be disappointed. Parking is available in the back or at the motel so don't let that stop you from enjoying your authentic Indian/Asian experience.

I had an amazing dining experience at this Indian restaurant! The food was absolutely incredible, full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The service was fantastic; attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The highlight of the meal was definitely the chicken lollipop; it was perfectly spiced, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. It’s been a long time since I had such great Indian food, and this place truly exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended!

I would say this is my new favorite Indian food restaurant in Dallas. Stopped in with some friends after seeing it open up over the last few weeks. Immediately we were greeted with friendly staff, and were taken care of at our table with excellent service. The food was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back. We spoke with the manager, who was very attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of during our visit. 5/5 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I am certain this restaurant will end up on some “DFW’s Best” list at some point.

We’ve been looking everywhere for good Indian food since our long time favorite closed. We had never heard of this restaurant, but saw the reviews and noticed it was nearby. Turns out it is in the location of another of our favorite restaurants that closed years ago (the old Buzz Brews on Central in the La Quinta parking lot). We took that as a good sign! Getting out of the car we could smell the traditional smell of Indian food. It smelled so good. The restaurant is clean and colorful and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We ordered our favorites, chicken tikka masala (medium spicy), samosas (one of each kind). and butter naan. We also tried something new, mutter paneer (medium spice). The food arrived fast and hot! The medium spice is plenty spicy for us (cleared my sinuses!) and the flavor was wonderful. Each dish had plenty of sauce to soak up with the naan and rice. The samosas were yummy as were the sauces that came with them. Instead of ordering just an order of naan, we got it with hummus. The naan was buttery and delicious and I used it mostly to eat the tikka masala. The hummus was okay, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. The manager asked for feedback and I said personally I felt it needed more garlic, but I don’t really go to Indian restaurants to have hummus so take it with a grain of salt. If you are not a big eater, the portion is big enough to share, especially if you get appetizers. Each dish was 16oz. Between the two of us, we ate all of everything we ordered and were plenty full. We are big eaters, fwiw. We were too full for dessert, but the manager brought us a traditional Indian dessert for free just to try. It is the rice pudding/kheer. It was lovely! Light, a little sweet, and a nice (light) cardamom flavor with slivered almonds on top. (We ate it all before I took the photo!) Give them a try. They are a wonderful addition to the area!

Had an amazing time with my wife. Came for dinner and left super satisfied. We started off with the vegetable samosas and chili momos and they were so fresh and so fulfilling. Then we had the garlic naan and butter chicken which were amazing! My favorite. Spice level was great. We ended the night with some chai and it was the perfect dinner date. Price was reasonable good! 👍🏾

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Elephant Indian Grill , and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. As a newly opened Indian restaurant, they have set the bar high with their exceptional food and impeccable service. The menu offers a fantastic selection of traditional Indian dishes, each bursting with rich flavors and aromatic spices. I tried the Chicken Momo’s, hummus, Chicken Tikki and Paneer, they were absolutely delicious—perfectly balanced in taste, well-presented, and cooked to perfection. The naan was fresh and fluffy, the curries were packed with depth, and the appetizers were a delightful start to the meal. Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. They took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that every detail of our dining experience was perfect. The ambiance was inviting, with a blend of modern and traditional decor that made for a cozy yet elegant setting. Given that this is a new establishment, they have certainly made a remarkable first impression. I highly recommend Elephant Indian Grill to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine paired with top-notch service. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

There’s finally another option for Indian food in the 75 and Fitzhugh-Knox area. Elephant Indian is in the location of a former Buzzbrews. The inside retains a diner vibe but now has bold and bright-colored murals (including an elephant) that I associate with Indian culture. The service was friendly and excellent. The food was delicious. My first bite of the Saag didn’t wow me but as I continued eating I felt like it was tasting better with each bite. The butter naan had a slightly chewy texture which was satisfying. The masala sauce was a bit thick with a hint of sweetness to it. I’ve tasted masala sauce like this at other restaurants and it’s not my preference. I will admit that I’ve eaten what I think is a more Americanized version of masala and I like it more. Let me know the difference if you know what I’m talking about. The wings were plump and tasty. The restaurant is on the access road but there are two ways to get to the parking lot. You can travel northbound on the access road and turn in at the restaurant. Or you can enter from Fitzhugh just past the LaLa Land where the back entrance to a hotel parking lot is located. The next time you’re in the area and craving Indian food, you need to go check it out. You’ll be glad you did.

OMG! That was delicious!! So good!! Had the elephant grill platter and it was delicious. And the naan was so good!! Great service. Friendly people!! Parking is a little funky. You park at the hotel parking. It says hotel only but it for restaurant customers as well. 100% recommend
