☕️ Fine for an average shop not good for people who value great quality coffee/espresso. ☕️ We were on vacation and didn’t have our normal set up so the pot of coffee I made at the house that morning was very weak, couldn’t really be called coffee. So we went out to find a local coffee shop that would have nice quality and well made drinks. We came in Monday around 11am and saw one worker and a couple guests. When ordering I didn’t find the service very friendly or inviting for a tourist town. We were told they didn’t have any pour over options available at the moment, so I ordered a drip coffee. It was weak, worse than the one I made earlier that morning. My husband got an espresso drink to try out their beans and it tasted burnt with no real flavor. When he asked for a sample of the espresso beans to look at, he could tell they were of low quality. The atmosphere was nice and our kids loved the games that were available for guests to play. I also liked that they have a cooler of bottled drink options and packaged snacks. I would say that for an average cute coffee shop they are fine but if you really care about the quality of the drinks this didn’t cut it for us. Neither my husband nor I drank ours and we didn’t ask for replacement drinks because they weren’t made wrong, they just were bad quality.

It’s a cute place to lounge with friends, with cozy, girly vibes that feel like sitting in a living room. However, if you care about coffee taste or quality, this may not be the place for you. The coffee is quite mediocre and, for the price, not good value for money. That said, the baristas are very kind and accommodating—Habiba in particular was extremely helpful. I recently moved to Williamsburg and usually go to Illy’s for my coffee, but I decided to try a new spot for a morning writing session. The Wi-Fi here is better than Illy’s, and the chairs are comfortable, but the tables are poorly designed and make working uncomfortable. If you sit on the couch, you’re too low and far from the power outlets, which makes laptop use difficult. Also, if you’re sitting alone on the couch, you end up occupying a large portion of the small space. Overall, it’s a nice place for lounging and socializing, but not ideal for studying, writing, or working if that’s what you’re looking for.

Charming and refreshing atmosphere. I have been 2 times first time I ordered the matcha latte and second time the dirty Chai latte both were delicious. The seating is comfortable, music is played at an appropriate volume so you can still read a book and enjoy conversation. I will certainly come back again.

Saw all the beautiful photos of this place and decided I had to stop by. Ordered a snickerdoodle dirty chai latte and a cheese danish. The atmosphere is very nice, I like the idea of a coffee lounge spending some time to just relax with a drink. I was a little disappointed in the drink itself, it tasted kind of burnt and was scalding hot. I had to wait a good 5+ minutes before it was drinkable, and I would have appreciated being served in a ceramic cup rather than a to-go cup as I was dining in. I think my experience was a one-off hopefully! The place is still too cool to pass up trying.

Got the London fog w lavender and almond milk. Price was steep (no pun intended) for earl gray tea, splash of milk and some lavender but the vibe made up for it. Very cute spot to hangout and enjoy your drink of choice.

Google
New to Eleva and this is a very cozy coffee coffee shop with great music at the right volume to enjoy yet still chat, comfortable seating and awesome service. My hot Vanilla latte was good and the butter croissant very tasty. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😍

Today is the second time I have visited here. The atmosphere is relaxing, calm and staff is friendly. Also, my cappuccino was perfect and the cheese danish was delicious 😋 My new coffee spot when I’m visiting the area.

I ordered ice caramel latte and it was great. Not too sweet and still can taste the coffee. Same with the pastry , I got cream cheese danish and it was sooo great too. The atmosphere is great with all cute decoration. The staffs also very attentive. I will definitely come back

Yelp
Tucked on the edge of Merchant's Square, Eleva is an inviting and relaxing coffee lounge. I visited midday with a friend, and it served as a refreshing reprieve from the summer heat. We both ordered iced teas. I chose the blueberry lavender tea and asked for light lavender. It was really tasty and a nice pick-me-up. Service was prompt and the price was super reasonable. Only "meh" is that they don't have a bathroom directly in the shop, and I did have to make a run for one so that cut the visit a bit short.

Yelp
Habiba is the best barista I've ever met and so sweet! She makes the most delicious drinks and her smile lights up this beautiful coffee shop. Would 10/10 recommend, my favorite study spot

Yelp
Eleva is so cute. The first time I was here it was raining and felt like a welcoming retreat from the rain with greenery, brick and friendly faces. So far I've tried yeh snickerdoodle dirty chai and the blueberry lavender London fog. Both weren't my favorites, but there's something about this cafe that makes me want to give them another try.

Yelp
I really wanted to like Eleva but it should not take over 45 minutes to get two simple drinks. They were clearly overwhelmed today, but there was no sense of urgency in getting through orders, either. It probably took the barista at least five minutes to make a single drink each time. My latte was fine but not worth the price or the wait.

Yelp
An elevated coffee shop experience. Ahh the price we pay for cozy, hip, and modern. So here's the good... friendly customer service, plush/comfortable seating, and lots of drink options (they serve wine). The not-so-good (could be a deal-breaker for some) - no restroom (you'll need to walk to the nearest one by Mellow Mushroom), slim food options (mostly heat & serve + kind of pricey, too). I'm not much of a coffee drinker anymore, so I opted for a can of kombucha ($4) and a large slice of baklava ($5). I have had a lot of baklava in my life and I have to say this was a bit lower on the totem pole. It was good, but didn't taste fresh - harder to cut into and a little hard to chew. I only came here that day because not much else was open in CW because of the recent snowstorm. I probably won't be returning, but not to say this isn't someone else's jam reading this. Check it out for yourself, your thoughts may differ from mine. I'm just not one for pricey drinks, pricey heat-and-serve foods, and mediocre pastries. I will be patronizing other local cafes in CW though :)

Yelp
Nice new coffee shop (and I believe they have wine later on in the day) right in merchant's square! Drinks: They seem to have a large coffee drink menu and can get your drinks on ice or even a frappe for an extra fee. Nice selection of sugar free syrups and regular syrups. I had the large frappe with sugar free caramel and chocolate syrup. It was very good but a little on the pricey side. $8! Food: Did not try anything but they had a variety of fresh selections and packaged foods Service: The woman behind the counter who made my drink was very nice and the drink she made was very good. Inside: They have used the space inside well with some couch seating and other comfortable seats. It's not overly large inside but it's nicely designed. One thing I found a little odd is that there is no bathroom. If you have to use a restroom you have to use the restrooms in the building where Mellow Mushroom is located. About a 3 minute walk.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee and relaxed atmosphere. We came in while visiting the area on a very hot day. Interior is comfortable and both the space and the staff are inviting. Location is prime for both visitors to Williamsburg and for students on William and Mary's campus. Will definitely try the Greenpoint location in NY! Thanks for the tasty and refreshing drinks!

Yelp
the gentleman Kareem that helped me today was polite and attentive. He knows how to make good coffee! My family bounces back and worth from both locations depending where we are in town for the day! the other gentleman that works there is also very kind!

Yelp
I visited yesterday. The atmosphere was nice, and the latte was prepared well and tasted very good. My only small comment (though it does not change my review) is that it was unclear if the pastries were baked on site or brought from elsewhere. Regardless, this is a nice ambience for coffee.

Yelp
Amazing coffee and friendliest staff! We visited twice last week while in town and enjoyed our coffees! Dubai chocolate latte was something new to try ! Check them out

Yelp
Newer coffee shop with thier own roasted coffee. They also have baked goods and a few breakfast items but we did not try any. Good space to work or meet. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Twice during the first 2 weeks in December my wife and I visited ELEVA Coffee Lounge - the ambience was peaceful, relaxing and soothing. Carlos, our Barista, was courteous, personable, polite and professional. He first served my wife her wine, then followed up with my delicious, smooth, strong, very hot latte. My wife and I live locally and promised Carlos we would return very soon. My wife dearly loves the ambience at ELEVA.

Yelp
The service is nice and the drinks were made well. I got the Americano and it was almost $7 which is pretty pricey from my experience since I had no modifications done to it. They offer free wifi and a relaxed ambiance however they do not offer restroom usage and refer you to the mushroom restaurant 2 blocks away.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place. Decor is trendy and it has a great vibe. Baristas are not great, drinks are poorly made, and the food (croissant) is so bad they have no business selling it. Illy next door has perfect pastries, this place needs to step it up or they won't last long. Rent is high in Merchants Square. Do better.

Yelp
Coming to this coffee shop is the worst mistake I've ever made during my time in CW. The coffee is not worth the exorbitant price tag, which serves no purpose other than to make the experience feel pretentious. Not to mention that the manager is incredibly rude to anyone who doesn't immediately look like they already have a retirement fund; students are simply unwelcome here. This is the only place in town where you'll end up paying $10 for a mediocre coffee and get an eye-roll from the manager. Worst establishment in town.

Yelp
This coffee lounge is wonderful ! The atmosphere is elegant , lovely piano music and super coffee.

Yelp
We came here when it first open. My husband had a black coffee, and I had a cold brew. The service was amazing very informative about the coffee. It was an amazing cup of coffee! They do have a small bakery but didn't try. We will go back!

Yelp
Very good coffee, lovely atmosphere. Do wish they had a restroom though, somewhat inconvenient that they don't. Coffee goes straight through me (and most folks!)

Yelp
Eleva is an elegant and beautifully designed coffee lounge with the most divine drinks served at one's table with a special touch or a treat on the go to enjoy exciting surroundings. Its service is impeccable. As a wink to us all to slow down and think about what is important, the beauty of life, Eleva is a romantic and comfortable spot to remember and frequent and share with others.

Yelp
Great coffee lounge in Williamsburg. Love the coffee and the atmosphere. Can't wait for the New Town location to open!

Yelp
You can tell they're struggling. Right when I was ordering, the person who appeared to be the manager left, leaving one capable barista, and another worker who didn't know how to make drinks because it was their first day. The ambiance is nice, I'll admit, but it took me about 20 minutes for them to make my drink (I got a vanilla latte), and many people got their drinks before me. Usually I'd be pretty forgiving, because one employee was new so the only other worker was making all the drinks by themself, but after I noticed that the people who ordered after me were getting their drinks before mine was ready, I went up and asked about my drink. The barista said, "I'm working on it right now!" But I still waited another ~15 minutes for the drink and watched them make many other people's drinks after saying that to me. When they finally made my drink, the barista placed it on the counter and the cap came off and some spilled lol! Which I didn't mind very much, but it was just the cherry on top of the whole experience... Anyway, the drink was okay, nothing to really write home about. Needless to say, I don't recommend this place!!! There are a few other coffee places just in Merchants' Square alone that I'm sure are better options.

Michele S.

Yelp
I was prepared for a wonderful experience based on the reviews. However, my experience was sub par. First the barista made an iced coffee. When I told her that I wanted a hot coffee, she gaslit me and said, "I thought you asked for an iced coffee." When the large latte arrived, it was about 8 ounces for more than $7.00. Also, the butter croissant was warmed but destroyed in the warmer because it came out chewy like it was microwaved. My total bill for a latte and butter croissant was more than $12.00. Never again will I patronize this place for a subpar experience, coffee, and croissant. Finally, the place doesn't have a restroom. I was directed to use the restroom in a restaurant across the parking lot, but the restaurant was closed. As an older Black woman, I couldn't discern if I was experiencing micro-aggressions or just bad customer service. Even asking for a napkin got to be a major chore for the barista to fulfill. I had a bad experience, and this saddens me because I'm always on the lookout for good coffee shops when I travel. I won't be returning to Eleva.
