Elevate Coffee - Boystown

I love coming to this coffee shop, especially for the orange vanilla oat milk latte. It’s very subtle but a great combo of flavors. Service is always friendly and quick.

Last time I'm going here. I got a breakfast burrito a couple weeks ago and the bacon in it was raw, not undercooked but raw. I went in again and not only did they mess up my coffee, they made me put cream cheese on my own bagel. Like c'mon what am I even tipping you for.

Lovely coffee shop in the heart of Boystown with great espresso-based drinks and a variety of special lattes - I particularly enjoyed the Orange Vanilla from the specialty menu. There is also plenty of indoor seating inside for hangouts and laptop work.

I used to come here all the time because the coffee and food was super good. However, I stopped returning because the service is so rude and slow, and it simply was no longer worth it. If you come here, expect to wait about half an hour for your coffee and even longer for them to warm up your pastry. The last (and final) time I came here, they served me an iced mocha made from expired mocha product after I waited about 20 minutes for my order. When I asked for them to remake it since it tasted off, the barista even admitted that their mocha powder had gone bad. I threw out my coffee and decided to never return.

Nice coffee spot in Boystown. As a matcha latte addict, I recommend this place to try their regular and lavender version. The lavender flavor comes from a syrup so it is sweeter but still good. Their matcha is smooth and you won't have the grass after taste feeling at all. I haven't tried their other latte, but the drink description looked so good! The staff is nice, and when interacting with you, very welcoming. The decor is minimalist, maybe a bit too minimal for my taste (i'm a cozy café vibe girl) But the place is clean, never too packed. For the food, they offer sandwiches that are good value (generous) and you will be stuffed till your next meal. I didn't try their pastries/cookies. But there were so few of them on the counter (a bit parsed) that they didn't look too appealing.

Good set up with plenty of table space to work at. The menu had a lot of options to choose from, with fun flavors and a seasonal menu. I had the iced tiramisu latte and a butter croissant, which they warmed up for me. Only critique would be the music was a bit too loud for a small space which made it hard to have a conversation.

Nice, cozy atmosphere that distinguishes it well from the other larger coffee chains in Chicago. Plenty of seating inside with a “printwithme” printer for anyone looking to get some work done. Creme-Bru Latte was delicious on a hot day

Came back again and decided to try some new coffee flavors and a sandwich. The Prosciutto and Goat Cheese Panini was very good. The prosciutto wasn't necessarily the best, but it was good. The coffees were just okay, we tried the Creme Bru-Latte and Tiramisu Latte. I still prefer the Milano Cookie Latte.

I had high expectations since they had great Yelp reviews however the food and drinks didn't meet my expectations. I kid you not, I couldn't find a chunk of bacon in my egg bites despite them being bacon and cheese bites. Good thing it came with a side of hot sauce because it really lacked flavor. I also couldn't taste orange in my iced latte. Service was very friendly and everything came out fast, which is a pro. It's also a comfy place to work or study since they have plenty of seating and free wifi.

So came in for the avocado toast and it was well... ok. For 12.50 for one piece of toast I wanted it to be great and it was just ok. In addition while the cashier was friendly, it took a very long time to get our order. Might come back to try the coffee but will get breakfast elsewhere next time

Stopped by Monday morning for a little pick me up. Ordered the creme bru-latte and a matcha mango latte. The creme bru-latte was sooo yummy but the mango matcha latte tasted weird since they used a cheap tasting mango syrup. Definitely recommend the creme bru-latte but do NOT recommend the mango matcha. There are a lot of tables for working. Pretty quiet considering most people are working on their own things instead of chatting

My coconut honey latte was fantastic, but there is not much seating space for the number of customers they get so maybe plan to grab 'n' go.

Good coffee and croissant, and a cozy atmosphere. The baristas were nice and patient, and I got my order quickly. I was a bit cold sometimes and the music was a little loud occasionally, but I enjoyed my time there and would return.

I wholeheartedly love this place! Stumbled crossed it a year ago. I was recovering from a night out in Boystown and needed a Matcha to help cure me. This place hit the spot. Their Lavender Matcha Latte is IMHO the best I've found in Chicago. And the staff, amazing! My second encounter here, the staff remembered my name! I'll always come to this place for my morning matcha. Lovely atmosphere, chill, relaxing, and cozy!

Nice clean and quality coffee shop. Luke has to be the best ambassador barista. Excellent customer service and tip well earned. Thank you. I had their nitro brew and it was refreshing.

By far my favorite coffee shop in the Lakeview area. Their speciality drinks are amazing, and priced reasonably at $6. The Crème- Bru Latte is my favorite, both iced and hot. The service is consistently top notch, even when they're busy. I will say, it does get really busy.. I've come here to work before and given up and gone somewhere else because there was nowhere to sit. Every time I get the food it's really high quality, as a frequent guest I wish they changed it up more, but it works in a pinch. It's quiet enough to take a call if necessary, but it does get a little noisy when packed.

Bright and airy spot with tasty drinks and stays open into the afternoon. I had an Americano and the avocado toast, which was very delicious and a great size portion. It was a bit crowded to find a table at first but once I was settled, I felt comfortable working here for the day. Staff was very kind.

Fun selection of seasonal coffees, the chai gingerbread was tasty. Friendly baristas. They sometimes project a fireplace onto the wall which is cute. I wish they had everything bagels! I really think that would *elevate* the breakfast sandwich. Sandwiches are more reasonably priced than others in the area at $9.

We tried the Iced Tiramisu Latte and it was better than anything Starbucks has to offer. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a superior cup of coffee for a great price. Friendly staff and a good vibe tied it all together. 10/10 will be back.

Just grabbed a latte with friends and went to the nearest park. Coffee was great! It is small coffee shop nicely decorated. Obviously a lot of attention payed on small details. The guy who worked there was really nice.

I've always enjoyed this place as a coffee shop, but the other day I was hungry and passing by, so I decided to grab a bit of takeout. Imagine my surprise when I got home and opened up the box to face easily the most gorgeous avocado toast I've ever seen. What's more, it tasted incredible: great ingredients across the board, and served atop a layer of perfect salt-and-pepper chips. I've always recommended the coffee shop and their beverages, now I can add a wholehearted endorsement of the food. Who knew?! Just writing this made me hungry again...

Crème Bru-latte with oatmilk is so good! Very cute coffee shop to work remotely in as well! I always try to stop in when I'm down in Boystown!

First time trying Elevate Coffee and I have to say I am quite impressed. WHAT I ORDERED: I ordered one of their specialty drinks, the Crème Bru Latte, and I got it iced. If you like sweet drinks, this is for you. It comes out around $6 but it's definitely worth it. I am a big fan! It tastes like a classic vanilla/Carmel latte with more sweetness and creaminess. VIBE: All the tables were taken with remote workers which was great to see! It was quiet enough to get some work done, but with a nice amount of background noise to make it comfortable. There were chargers near the tables as well. I will definitely be going back!

This is a cool coffee place to check out in the Lakeview area. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They have many coffee/tea beverage options available and also a food menu as well. I ordered a latte to drink and a Kolache to eat while I was there. My group was able to find a table very easily on a Saturday morning, but it did get busier as time went on. If you want a guaranteed table, you may want to visit their website to book a table reservation. Very few cafe's offer this option, so I admire the fact that they offer this option.

We ordered a breakfast burrito, a slice of banana bread, crème brûlée latte and a spiced maple oat milk latte. We unfortunately didn't take photos of the food because we were starving so by the time it got to us we scarfed it down. The burrito was mid, it's the only thing that equates to us giving this place 4 stars instead of 5. In their defense I don't think they have a full kitchen and just make do with a service counter. I bet they probably only have things like a panini press, microwave and toaster over friendly foods. The eggs in the burrito were those square slices of egg which really turned me off, on top of soggy sausage. We added bacon to ours but the bacon was also soggy and not crisp at all. The crème brûlée latte tasted like a Starbucks drink with how ridiculously sweet it was. I was not a fan of that one but my boyfriend enjoyed it. I very much enjoyed the spiced maple oat milk latte. I thought it was the perfect level of sweet. The banana bread was also very delicious.

I loved it! Came here to do work and the wifi was better than mine at home! Was able to do work including video meetings with no problem. As others have mentioned the space is great to do work as there is enough ambient noise but it's not distracting. I ordered the violet matcha latte w/ oat milk and it was great! The violet added a nice complimentary flavor. I also had the bagel sandwich which was so unique and tasty - it came with eggs, avocado, cheese, and pistachios of all things! It worked well together and was super yum. The staff is really nice too. Highly recommend!

Came in here today and I love how relaxing it is. It's very quiet and they are quick. My coffee was delicious, the creme bru-latte is a must try for sure. Will definitely be coming back. Amazing service!

YUMM. I tried the orange pistachio white mocha (had them make it a little less sweeter), and it was SO good. First time coming here, and will definitely be back.

Great coffee, great customer service, I ordered a Vanilla Latte but I learned they have matcha and it's even unsweetened love that and noted for next time. The store it's self is clean and has seating for your laptops convenience! They are also dog friendly!!

Elevate is one of my partner's and my favorite local cafés. It's right down the street from our apartment and in the center of the hustle and bustle that is Northalsted. I don't want to tell you about my favorite drink because I don't want it to ever be out of stock in the future; however, I'm a nice person, so I'm going to tell you... Elevate's Horchata Cold Brew is my gay, iced coffee loving self's next-level drink of choice. It's naturally vegan (if you don't add whipped cream) because horchata is rice milk-based, and it's spiced to perfection with vanilla, cinnamon, almond, and turbinado cane sugar. Yum! They have a cute little patio out front and a solid amount of seating inside when patrons are allowed to stay. The service is also always so friendly. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I went to Elevate coffee on the morning of 12/05/2022. I ordered the violet matcha latte and I was immediately filled with joy. The first sip of the latte was pure bliss. I recommend that latte to anyone who wants something with matcha and is looking for a sweet treat. This is the type of coffee shop where it's quiet and can work on your laptop without being in a loud environment. I liked that this coffee shop had a chill atmosphere and had great-tasting drinks and food all in one place. My friend who introduced me to this coffee shop took one of her lovers to this establishment. She now regrets it because she goes every day due to how good everything tastes. If you decide to go to elevate please don't take your tinder dates here if you plan on returning. And let's be honest you will be returning once you take a sip of their latte.

My girlfriend and I tried one of their avocado toasts, and it was absolutely incredible. One of the best avocado toast I've had (I haven't had much). I got the horchata cold brew. It was pretty good, honestly. The coffee tasted a bit diluted, but I'm glad it was smooth all around. Wifi is also good, so it's a really good place to do work :)

The coffee is good and ambience is fine, but the staff are unfriendly. Here's what happened. I was there working for a few hours and went up to the counter to order a second coffee. I stood there for a few minutes listening to the staff talk with each other in the back. Eventually I went and sat down and continued working. Later, I walked back up to the counter and peeked around the corner to ask if someone could help me. Boy did they not like that. Instead of saying something like, "Sorry we made you wait," I got berated for stepping behind the counter, and one of the people told me that I was lying about how long I'd been waiting. In the service industry I've always operated on the assumption that the customer is right, and that the point of being in the service industry is to provide good service. There are lots of spots in Chicago with good coffee and adequate ambiance. No need to visit one staffed by people who insult their customers.

The best sandwiches in town! Delicious, fresh ingredients, and excellent service. Definitely try this out!

This Boystown spot has been consistently good with all their espresso-based drinks, with solid revolving cold brew and drip drinks as well. Very friendly staff, tons of seating,welcoming space, and pretty decent party selection, too.

The staff was friendly. However, the cold brew tasted watered down a bit and the food was very plain. I wasn't expecting much with the food, but thought it would at least seasoned. The cafe had a lot of seating available which was nice!

I had the most delicious creme brûlée latte from Elevate! The barista was so welcoming and excited I was stopping in when I mentioned it was my first time as I am from out of town. He recommended the creme brûlée latte and suggested some minor tweaks to it to fit my dietary restrictions and it was heavenly. The turbinado sugar on the top really made it. This place is a little gem in Boystown, I will definitely go back!

5 stars for being pup friendly and having great coffee. I was walking around and on the hunt for something simple: iced coffee. Luckily, a Yelp search brought me to Elevate Coffee! The cold brew was strong and refreshing and hit the spot. I got my coffee to stay because it was hot inside but cute, cozy and cool inside. Grabbed a table and read my book until I worked up the courage to ask if I could pet the dog at the table next to me. (Luckily the answer was yes). They had an entire pastry case of yummy looking dessert and a whole menu of savory things too. There were plenty of tables so I'm surer you'll rarely have trouble finding a spot. It seems like the perfect place to get some work done. I got a chance to chat with the baristas (and I think ownership team too?) and loved hearing that they are brainstorming new additions for the menu. They were so nice and friendly and were kind enough to give me a few tips and ideas for how to spend my weekend in Chicago (out of town-er)!

Finding new coffee spots to frequent is my passion, so when I was asked to pick a work meeting spot yesterday, I eagerly perused Yelp and was thrilled to find Elevate Coffee. I arrived a few hours early because I'd seen photos of their pastry display case online and I hadn't eaten anything yet. What better way to start the workday than at a coffee shop, eating a pastry or bagel? There was plenty of seating available, and the whole space was filled with light. I personally love the lavender walls too, because that color screams "calm." I was obsessed right away. I ordered a toasted bagel with veggie cream cheese and a 12 oz medium-to-dark roast coffee. The bagel was perfectly toasted and warm, with just enough cream cheese. I truly enjoyed it! I also went up to get a refill, which was $1 for my 12 oz cup. Next time I come, I want to try a specialty drink. I just needed straight caffeine this time around! Nico, one of the shop's operators, was working the counter and told me a bit about their roasts and how they've been experimenting to always improve, which is always a lovely thing to hear when in any business. They should be proud here, because this place rocks.

Barista was so welcoming and friendly! She was knowledgeable and accommodating with me having two toddlers with. Coffee was delicious; will definitely come back

I needed coffee every morning while I visited Chicago. I stayed right down the street in an Airbnb. The barista was extremely sweet and helpful. The decor and cafe was clean and comfy. The last day I decided to sit and enjoy my coffee. I had a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. The pumpkin seeds were the best part. My favorite coffee was the Creme Brulatte. Sweet and creamy. It was delicious! Enjoy if you're in Boystown!

Elevate is one of our favorite coffee shops in the area for two reasons: awesome staff and delicious specialty drinks! Pre-pandemic, it was my boyfriend's favorite place to work for a few hours. Elevate is also home to his favorite cappuccino in the city! The menu of fun specialty drinks always entices me and I've never gotten the same thing twice. The latest hit: Mint Chocolate Chip Mocha! The staff is always SO nice and eager to greet you as you walk in the door. They're great for recommendations, too. During the pandemic we've ordered coffee ahead via the Elevate website and have never run into any issues picking up our drinks, masked up. Can't wait for it to be safe to enjoy a drink and WiFi at Elevate again!

This was the closest coffee shop from where my appointment was.. and it was perfect! I ordered a latte with oat milk and a shot of hazelnut. The cashier was very sweet and made me laugh. Clearly the barista did an excellent job because I finished my coffee- which I never do. I'm known for leaving a 1/4 of my drink to throw away but not this one! Can't sing enough praises for this place. Also the bathroom was so clean. I could see my reflection in the stainless steel towel dispenser. Maybe I should start visiting cleaner places.. anywho! 10/10 recommend.

this place has absolutely phenomenal coffee. can't believe i'm saying this but the best coffee i've ever tasted in my life. super smooth vanilla oat milk latte, and they put foam on top of my drink every time. it was so darn good!! my friend and i were in chicago for 3 days and we came here every single morning for coffee, definitely check it out of you're in the lake view east/boystown area. the avocado bagel and bacon egg toast were also delicious

Elevate Coffee is a great place to get caffeinated and get some work done. The drinks are delicious, however, their menu isn't very large. There are only a few specialty drinks. There also isn't a lot of seating. The drinks are great, though, and I know I'll be back.

Great space to work. The creme bru-latte I bought was delicious. The baristas were friendly and helpful. If you have a big group, there's a larger table that seats at least six people. They also have a lot of outlets which is essential and there are dog treats at by the door. Will definitely return.

Picked up a bike down the street and stopped in to grab a quick coffee beforehand. This place is absolutely wonderful. Cute little spot and very friendly people. I live in River North and will go out of my way to grab a coffee here next time I'm around Lakeview. Highly recommend the Freddo Cappuccino. My gf and I got it without sugar and would not change a thing. The breakfast and specialty sandwiches also looked amazing. Usually, I wouldn't go for an avocado toast but I saw someone order it, and it came on top of a bed of chips and was finished with balsamic. Will be back soon.

My sister and I love coming here! They cleared some space inside according to social distancing regulations-- there are still limited seating available inside as well as outside which I appreciate. The coffee here is phenomenal one of the best roasts I've tasted in a long time. The coffee blend here taste very nutty and rich to me and is unique and tasty. The menu here is well put together as well, they have something for everyone-- I have to come back and try more.

The Crème Bru-latte was everything I wanted and more. Get it. You won't regret it. It IS in the sweeter side, so if you don't like your drinks sweet, try something else. Can't wait to go back and try something new.
