Elevation is an awesome craft brewery. We loved the hazy (Cosmic Gazer YUM) and no-coast IPA (First Cast) we stopped in for. Wasn’t quite dinner-time but the food truck menu looked incredible too. Staff here is super friendly and welcoming. Ended up getting a 6 pack of the Cosmic Gazer- couldn’t let that be my only taste of it lol. Ample outdoor seating and we loved that it was dog friendly. The mountains in the background are BEAUTIFUL. Great location, great people, great beer.

Great place to stop for a beer while passing through town! Enjoyed the Amber Ale.

Warning: DO NOT GET A FLIGHT! They are $20. Unfortunately I had no idea and ordered 2 of them. After tax and tip it was $48 which is about 2 1/2 beers so about $19 a pint. How can this be legal?! Huge bummer especially since the beer was good and the bartender was super friendly. Please either lower your flight price or at the very least, inform customers the price before they order one. 🙏 Also the food trucks closed a half an hour early. Would be nice if he came in and did a last call for food before closing.

All around A+ atmosphere, staff, and beers. I didn’t order food because food truck were closed at the time, but menu looked really good too. I was doing some remote work there and the WiFi speed and signal was perfect. I worked inside where it’s a bit smaller, but they also have a large outdoor tent area that’s heated. So there’s plenty of room to spread out as needed. Shout out to Eric for the great conversation and recommendations.

I was visiting from Denver and stopped in for a pretzel and a beer. Didn't expect to be welcomed with open arms and smiles like I was here. Super awesome vibe, people are great, regulars are friendly and best off.. the food and beer are KILLER!!!! Thanks for making me feel welcome.

Absolutely excellent beer! Great indoor and outdoor space, very friendly staff. We tried all of the stouts and the barrel aged. My favorites were the Senorita Mexican Stout and Oil man. Loved those so much we bought cans to go. The great thing about these barrel aged brews (all of them) was the whiskey infusion from the barrels was not so overwhelming that it hid the original beer flavor.

Beer review I had a flight 2 hazy, and imperial porter, an imperial stout and a BBA imperial stout. The BBA imperial stout is hand pull straight form the barrel. OMG, that was soooooo delicious and so smooth. Overall, the hazy IPA were good. Hoppy and fragrant, both are delicious. The dark beer are all amazing too. They definitely know how to brew. Will definitely come back!

Stopped in for lunch on the advice of a dear friend, and WOW! Had the London porter, Little Mo' and a chicken "cheesesteak" with fries. My only complaint is it was too much food, as I was dining alone! Do yourself two favors: bring a friend, and get the green Chile beer cheese. That cheese sauce is life changing!! The chicken was excellent, the grilled bread and peppers and onions were cooked perfectly and served piping hot. The shoestring fries were cooked crispy and seasoned well, and I can't say enough about that green Chile beer cheese. The service from the food truck and bar were both amazing, and I will definitely be back!!

We enjoyed our dinner and drinks at Elevation Beer Co. Nice, dog-friendly with lots of shade. To drink we had the kolsch and the porter. Really solid beers. To eat we shared Colorado Poutine and two orders of falafel. Everything was delicious. Beertender was very friendly and outgoing. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was that our total was $70, which, in my opinion, is pretty outrageous for dinner for two at a brewery. Will keep drinking their beer, as we like to purchase it from the store, but will likely skip the food next time.

Large outside patio and friendly staff. Stopped by for a beer and a bite to eat from their permanent food truck. My husband got a delicious burger and I got the falafel. The falafel was a bit difficult to eat and a bit too salty with the feta and olives but was still very good. The beer was delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer and tried a few more but we had to get to an event.

Nice place; brewery, with wines and lots of homemade beers. Nice place to hangout. Had arktoberfest for beers. Food truck on location has a nice bundle of food choices. Staff were cordial.

We were driving into Salida from and saw a sign by the highway that said "Elevation Beer Co". I had never heard of them before and we weren't too far so we decided try stop in. The brewery is awesome! They had tons of shaded outdoor seating, and some indoor eating. They do have a food trick that is there all of the time if you want to grab some food. the staff was friendly and they have a great beer election.

Huge space and cool vibes! The lady behind the bar was super helpful and let me try some tasters before deciding. I ended up with the passion fruit and prickly pear gose which was too sour for me, and I really like sours, but would definitely go back and try something else. The others liked their IPAS. I ended up getting a tin tacker sign and variety pack of their seltzers.

A very nice brewery, great service, nice ambience and a really good Malbec wine. They have a food truck with great burgers. Recommended for sure!

I've stopped at Elevation since 2012, less often since my peak bagging days have been fewer in the last four years. While tastes and trends change, Elevation has stayed on my radar simply because their beers are well made--crisp & clean, no telltale signs of brewing blunders. Like anywhere, some styles are better than others. My favorite is the Senorita porter with horchata. Mmm. My last trip came in late October as part of a fall color peeping trip to the southern Sawatch and Bonanza Mine. Since my last visit in 2018, Elevation has added a nice outdoor patio with a covered seating area--and the best addition--a food truck. Looking to try something new, I had a pint of the hazy Hop Kid IPA and it was surprisingly delicious, far better than its online rating. I would buy it if it were canned. While I sipped, my green chile slopper burger was coming together in the food truck. As a former New Mexican, I've noted that the further south one goes in CO, the better the green chile. Elevation's version would be most welcome in Denver, especially at this price. Meat quality was great and I could barely finish the fries. Before hitting the road, I sampled the vanilla version of their barrel aged stout, Oil Man. At 10.8% abv, I don't recommend a pint of this before heading back to Denver, but I do recommend it. Staff have always been patient and friendly, with plenty of beer knowledge. Overall, Elevation has steadily provided great mountain town brews for about a decade, but has upped their game with renovations and a food truck with solid options at a great price. While there are several local choices for brewery/food, you won't do better than here for beer quality.

Went there on 9/18/21. We were driving through and we got some To Go beer. Looks like they have a good size covered patio. Then the inside is decent. Bartender was very friendly. Looks like they Can all of their beer. You can also buy beers individually. Fun atmosphere. Cheers!

What a beautiful location and a very fun mountain experience. Service was fantastic, food mediocre and beer solid. Enjoyed the milkshake duck! And oilman. Really fun location to check out.

Stopped at Elevation Brewery to pick up a couple of beers. I like stouts and didn't know which ones to buy so the waitress gave me a few tastings. The tastings in Colorado are definitely Texas Sized. Wish we could have set down for a drink, but had to hit the road. The Oil Man stout was my favorite.

Total hidden gem! Off the beaten track...totally worth finding. Beer selection is fantastic, plus to-go cans if you find something you like. I took home some four packs of the Oil Man bourbon aged imperial stout. Food truck on the side had one of the best burgers I've ever had (green chile bacon burger) and their fries are amazing. Make the detour and get in this place! Indoor and outdoor seating. Family friendly. Clean bathrooms

Love the atmosphere and the brews here. The bartender was so friendly to us and even remembered our faces when we made a reappearance a couple days later. There's not a ton of seating indoors, but there's a sizeable tent adjacent to the building that stays pretty warm. Really can't complain about any of the beers I tried - I'd personally stay away from the "low light" but that has more to do with what a 3% abv beer can offer than anything. I quite enjoyed my Little Mo, a pretty classic take on the porter, and Throwback Red, which was easy drinking. At $6 a pint you can knock out a couple of these no problem after a solid day of skiing at Monarch and reminisce about your most spectacular wipe-outs.

Solid beers is what Steve and I enjoyed from Elevation Beer! We had two different beers from this brewery, both of which we enjoyed. The beer isn't super experimental on the ingredient and flavor side but that's ok. We likes the two we had all the same. Raspberry Gulch was our first beer, a fruited beer with raspberry leanings as the name implies. Despite this berry being very sweet the beer wasn't too heavy handed with the sugar and was a lighter beer in texture which I could appreciate. Probably because it was a saison which tends to have lighter characteristics. Next up was the Little Mo. A porter which was good as well. Dark and robust but again not too terribly heavy in volume which I felt to my benefit. I don't particularly care to have heavy beers much these days despite trying all kinds of different beer styles. Intriguing brewery swag as well... something I enjoy as much as the beer drinking. I do enjoy my souvineers from all the different breweries we encounter.

I really enjoyed this brewery stop! A nice surprise just outside of Salida, CO whenever the owner is super friendly and loves to talk about the beers. I particularly enjoyed the maibock and the three Amigos lager. Really busy but not surprisingly because of the good beer and friendly staff. I'm a huge fan of brewers that love what they do and it really shows here. Next time your traveling around lower Colorado!

With the extra time I now have due to covid, I thought I'd spend it reviewing some of the great places I've been. I visited Elevation Beer last summer during a "14er" project where we featured 14ers, distilleries, and of course breweries! This one stood out as one of the best. First, the beer stands up very well to Colorado's demand for high quality beer. Good selection, good taste. I tend to lean towards the boozier dark porters and stouts, while my boyfriend likes super hoppy IPAs - they had a good selection of both. This is also a very chill place to hang out. The bar is made of beautiful wood and has a great atmosphere. There is a large patio with a food truck - and if the truck isn't open they don't mind if you order delivery. Beer is good!! Great location ... if your hungry and it is Tuesday ... plan to only drink here ... beer is food, right?

Beer. Service. Customers. All wonderful! Took 2 growlers home since Southwest Airlines canceled our flight and made us drive back to Texas. No liquid restrictions!!! 10/10 will be back.

If you are in the area or looking for a place to grab a quick meal passing through this is a must stop! I went after a long hot hike with my dog and my wife. The two beers we got were the Kulsh (cold light and refreshing). Also a steeped seltzer (an herbal hard tea) it reminded us of a adult sophisticated Arnold Palmer. This review would have gotten a five star just on beer a lone but there is more. The food was top notch located on the side of the building in a permanent food truck placement. We got an order of nachos. To be specific we got the roasted veggie nachos, most of the time when you get veggie nachos you get a few veggie an a dollar or two off the bill for not having meat. This was a different story at elevation brewery. On a bed of home made thick tortilla chips there was roasted carrots,Brussels sprouts and a whole roasted jalapeño on top! Probably the beat nachos my wife and I have ever hade! Keep up the good work and we will be back again!

I have't been to Elevation in 2 years and was pumped to go back! The beer lineup was solid - good mix of hazy's, pales, pilsner, a sour, a brown, and my new favorite, a Mexican lager with salt and lime. The hospitality was awesome too - the 2 ladies behind the bar were a lot of fun and made a great atmosphere. We'll definitely come back and look for their beers around the Denver metro area. Well done!

Love that they allow dogs, it is in a tent outside & needs a little bit more ambiance, The inside bar is really nice, but is quite tight when full. We really enjoyed the beer, wish they had a few more traditional beers than fruity or hopped up ones. Service is very good, even on busy days.

This place is so awesome! Their Tres Amigos beer is crisp and delish. First Cast IPA is so smooth you can enjoy several while hanging out there or on the Arkansas riverbank. I tried the Michelada, Tres Amigos with Bloody Maria Mix, from New Mexico, and it's pretty special... give it a go. Who knew a Bloody Mary with beer would be so fine. The food truck, Mangia, has the most amazing food, no lie! I highly recommend the Green Chili Slopper, you will not be disappointed. There were eight of us that enjoyed Elevation beer and Manga food truck fare and none of us were disappointed.

This was my favorite brewery and location (that view of the mountains!) in Salida. Solid beers, lots of outdoor seating. I can't WAIT to go back!

Really enjoyed this brewery! All of the staff were friendly, the beer was great, and they had several non-alcoholic beverages for those in my party who don't drink. Also can't beat the pretty views outside!

Nice local brewery with taproom. Beer is top notch and available for carry out! And they also have merchandise for sale.

What a GREAT place. The beer was all wonderful and the food absolutely delicious if you're anywhere near highway 50 and highway 285 in Colorado you should stop by the Elevation brewery Poncha Springs, Colorado

10/10, tasty brews and friendly staff. Highly recommend the Tres Amigos (lime + salt lager) for you easy drinkers. Husband says Cabana Hammock IPA is yummy but I can't verify as I don't mess with IPAs. Comfy environment with social distancing between tables. View of mountains doesn't hurt.

After a 3 day camping trip this was the delicious cherry on top of the cake. I loved everything about this brewery, I rated the 5 beers I tried higher than 4 out of 5, they have a few high in alcohol content but it doesn't really feel boozy. The girl serving the beer was nice, they have cool t-shirts and hats, awesome decoration, it feels like you are trapped between a cool modern cabin and a vintage bar, and nice local atmosphere. Can you please open one in Denver? :)

Great brewery setup. I have been stop here after hikes for years. I try to get beer that I don't see distributed to Denver often.

SO good!! All the beer we tried was fantastic and unique! We tried a bunch of breweries on the road trip during Labor day weekend and I wasn't impressed until this place. Their unique Duck and Goose IPAs were incredible and I'm a sworn anti-IPAer haha. Nice food truck outside as well (not sure if this rotates tho). Overall love this place and cannot wait to either make the trek back out here or find their beer somewhere in town!!

I was in town for a girls trip to Salida, and we stopped by here for some brews before dinner. Kelly was the beertender and she was so great! Gave me some recommendations of their beer since I'm a bitter lover, and she was spot on. The atmosphere is great; everyone is super friendly, and makes you feel like you've known them forever. I had some cookies I had brought for the trip and I ended up sharing them with a couple of people and Kelly, because they were just so nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend the barley wine, if you get a chance to try it. I bought a hat and have already worn it twice. I can't wait to come back and drink more of this delicious beer!

I've long thought Elevation's beer was some of the best in the state. This taproom has become one of the best as well, very much worth a stop in the otherwise drive-through non-town of Poncha Springs. Over a dozen beers on tap with choices to satisfy any preferences, well done indoor space. Great outdoor area with long tables, shade, a food truck, and views of the surrounding mountains.

@ElevationBeerCo We needed food. They had a food truck. They were a local brewery. It was a win. Poncha Springs, Colorado and the surrounding area really plugs this artisan microbrewery. Signage for it is everywhere, although they are not artisan signs. They are standard signs. The signs really work. One can find the brewery easily without the modern GPS navigations. But we were heading there well before the signs beckoned. The Montana Imperial Porter was dark goodness black with an off-white head. It had notes of dark rum and vanilla and a tantalizing tingling spice that made it a refreshing beverage of artisan quality. Support local businesses. Especially breweries. Colorado is a beer wonderland. Elevation represents well. Drink up. You'll be glad you did.

Elevation Brewery is a hidden gem!!! Friendly bartenders, great atmosphere and fun food!! Their food truck has great local options and it's all very healthy! Wide beer selection as well as seltzer on tap & CPD soda water! Worth stopping in!

Really great craft brewery near Salida. Fun barstools that are tractor seats. Very friendly bartender. Loved the honey quad aged in red wine casks. Seems like they have any kind of beer for any kind of taste. They have kolsch, spurs, lagers stouts, cask and IPAs just to name a few. Go check it out.

Stopped by on our way to Denver and we were super impressed. Had plenty of outdoor seating for social distancing and was dog friendly outside. Beer tender was very helpful and all of the beers we tried were delicious.

Stopped here during a cross-country road trip. My husband is a beer fan, so made many pit stops at breweries along the way. Of all our stops, this was my favorite. Enough variety to satisfy both by IPA loving spouse, and my own taste for fruity and sour beers--most we found quite tasty, staff were friendly and everything felt clean and safe, very well set up even in light of COVID. Would recommend to anyone who finds themself near this area!

Cool atmosphere and a lot of variety in types of beers they have (so something for everyone). The taproom was a little small and stuffy though. I'm sure it's better when it's not as cold out and you can actually hang out outside.

Great and unique beers here. We really enjoyed the Irish red ale on cask and the barrel-aged quad. But most importantly, everyone here is super friendly -- my bike got a flat on the way up and I shamefully didn't have the tools to fix it. The guys rounded up a pump (Presta valve!) and even offered us a lift back to Salida before I fixed things up enough to limp back. So I highly recommend Elevation whether you have a flat or just like good beer. We'll be back next time we're in the area again!

I love good craft beer. Not an IPA fan, but their selection is great. Beers are smooth and very well flavored. My favorites were their Honey quad, horchata porter, and Irish red ale. If you are a beer fan/snob and within 30 miles, it's well worth the trip!!! I'd come back any day of the week.

Awesome place with great beer tenders. Our group loved the red beer and the brose! Galactic ipa was nice but definitely strong

Wow, I was blown away. The beer is outstanding here! Driving to South Rim black canyon, we were looking for a stop to enjoy a road trip libation. Did I mention it was my birthday. We brought a picnic lunch. We enjoyed the first cast IPA, the 7437 double IPA, and the Quad Apis 4, they were all extraordinary. There also is a business in an adjunct courtyard, that serves food, that smelled nice. We had our picnic lunch of goat cheese veggie wraps, so we did not get to try. I like the wild west rustic atmosphere. Worth the detour and long drive from Denver.

Finally some great dark beer in Colorado and Arizona. Been on this road trip from California to Colorado Springs. Has been disappointing so far until I got here. Great stout, porter and barrel aged. Stay here for awhile!

When in town for camping or hiking, this place is on the list to stop. Excellent beers and an awesome staff that is always welcoming. Great for sunday funday and well... any other day of the week! I shall always be back.

Oh my Jesus, we had a fabulous time hanging out at Elevation. It is a really good thing we live in a different state, or we would spend a lot of time and money there. So let's see... Elevation is a cool little brewery tucked off the roadside. It's got a cool interior with lots of great little touches. I was enamored with the bar stools, which were made out of some wrought iron and were actually wide enough to accommodate a person who well -- likes to drink and eat as much as I do. The bar has a lot of cool little details and is a really fun place to just sit and kick back with a few. The more you sit, the more you notice.. I particularly dug the little glasses of rocks (I think) built right into the wood behind the bar. At any rate, the BEER was super good. Everything we sampled we liked. I was trying so hard not to overdrink on our first day in Colorado, but that plan pretty much went out the window. I stuck with the Kolsch, which is so wonderfully crisp and refreshing that I seriously could have just drank it all night. Toward the end, I was getting paced by the guys I was with, so I ordered a 9 oz shorty instead of a full beer. It came in the cutest tall skinny glass that the bartender explained is specifically designed for Kolsch beers to keep them cold while drinking. It is apparently (I was told) how the Germans do it. Who am I to argue with the Germans about beer? We also liked the Apis a lot and oh pretty much everything else we tried. The samplers were super cute -- the glasses are like miniature tulips and they sit in these wooden circular trays that have roman numerals on them to designate them 1-5 according to your selections. So good. I really wanted to buy some of those little glasses but they don't sell them apparently. But they DO sell a bunch of other cool stuff. They sell their normal pint and tulip glasses. They sell T-shirts (bought one, love it, super soft cotton). And they sell stainless steel growlers, which come in the normal size and also a 40 oz size I'd never seen before. Super cool. And while we're on the topic of growlers, OMG, the growler refills here are stupid cheap. If my fuzzy drunk math is right, they were charging something like $2 a beer in growler refill form... that's almost like free (really good) beer!!! It's such a good thing we don't live near here. Mega props to the bar tender, Megan I think, who was super great the whole afternoon. Chatty in a good way, professional, friendly, knew her stuff about the beer, helpful and never let a glass run dry. We'll be back next time we're out this way for sure. Oh, and there's also an outdoor patio area with additional tables and it seems a pretty regular food truck for the munchies. Wahoo.
