My wife and I recently visited this restaurant for lunch. I had been there at least a couple of times before, but unfortunately, my impression of it has diminished with each visit. To start with the positives, the ambience is lovely, and we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The service was a bit slow at first, but since we weren’t in a hurry, it wasn’t a major issue. As for the food, perhaps we simply ordered the wrong dishes, but it fell short of expectations—especially considering the price. I ordered the seafood cioppino, while my wife chose the pappardelle with pomodoro sauce and chicken. My cioppino was overly salty, which says a lot coming from someone who typically enjoys a well-seasoned dish. Meanwhile, my wife’s pasta seemed to lack seasoning altogether, as if no salt had been added to the pasta water—a basic and essential step in cooking pasta properly. The sauce was quite thin and thus it really didn’t stick to the pasta at all. It’s hard to say if the sauce was cooked into the pasta as would be traditional with Italian cooking. I was informed that the cioppino would be “brothy,” but what I received was more of a thick tomato-based sauce with very little brothiness at all. It would have been far more enjoyable with a lighter, more balanced broth rather than the overpowering, salty tomato sauce. The bread pieces added to the cioppino were very tough and hard, even after soaking in the sauce for a few minutes. The chicken breast that came with my wife’s dish was so so. Parts of it were dry and stringy, but the center was more tender and juicy. On the bright side, the caramelized Brussels sprouts we ordered as a side were delicious—flavorful and cooked to our liking. The total bill, including a glass of wine and a draft beer, came to $75, and with a $15 tip, we spent $90 on a lunch that, unfortunately, did not feel worth the cost. That said, I wouldn’t necessarily discourage others from trying this place. Many people seem to enjoy their meals here, and it’s possible we just happened to order the wrong dishes this time. However, based on this experience, the flavors lacked the sophistication and balance one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

1111 was a great place for a celebratory dinner. The atmosphere was great with excellent service, amazing food, and wonderful beer & wine options. We both had the specials, but also enjoyed the mussels appetizer. It was amazing and we will go back especially for that! The soup and bread were favorites as well.

While I wasn't bowled over by the food the atmosphere and service was above and beyond. My salmon was done to perfection but it would have paired better with a nice rice pilaf instead of succatash and I opted for the white wine sauce on the side. The filet was cooked to perfection as well and very tender but needed some herb butter or something to set it off. And I was afraid to ask but there wasn't a salt or pepper shakers in sight and I know they say good food needs no further seasoning but that should be left to the customers discretion. My daughter was presented with a beautiful piece of flourless chocolate cake for her birthday on the house and it was delicious. It was a very pleasant dining experience all in all.

Google
Great atmosphere and food. They deliver unique food for the area (Tuscany/Cali). Good place to get polenta as well! We did order from a special NYE menu but I'm sure the regular menu is just as good.

Google
Our first time here and we will definitely be back. We split a salad, egg plant and a tiramisu dessert. They split the salad and entree for us, which was great. It was cool enough to sit in their outdoor dining which we really enjoyed.

Google
It was our first time dining at Eleven Eleven this evening and we couldn't have had a better experience! Everything was delicious and came out super quick. Loved the char and sauce with the filet. Gary, our server, was awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Get that man a raise! A Valentine's Day to remember for sure. We'll definitely be back!

Had an amazing dinner at Eleven Eleven Mississippi with a friend, and it was absolutely worth it. We both had steaks with Cabernet and a side of grilled vegetables, and everything was spot on. The steaks were cooked exactly how we asked—perfectly juicy and flavorful. The wine paired beautifully, and the price for the whole meal was surprisingly affordable for the quality. What really stood out was the service. Lukas, our waiter, was super attentive without being overbearing, and the administrator, Bob, made sure everything ran smoothly. They truly made the experience top-notch. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Google
Came here for dinner and my brother and I decided to grab seats at the bar. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere is pretty chill although very nice inside as well. We had delicious cocktails (try the jalapeño pineapple margarita), calamari, and ribeye steaks. Everything we had was 10/10. Highly recommended checking this place out.

Keven K.

Yelp
We went here on a Thursday reservation and saw the Thursday happy hour special: half off wine glasses and Flatbread. So we ate at bar. Wild boar ravioli is exceptional and the onion soup excellent. The vibe is cool, exposed brick walls. Service was great. Not crowded 6pm on a Thursday. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Eleven Eleven Mississippi offers a unique dining experience with an atmosphere that's an interesting mix of fancy and casual. The menu has some great options, and I tried the assorted wild mushroom & pecorino polenta, which was delicious--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. That said, it was not the most visually appealing dish. Overall, the food was tasty, but it did not quite make my list of favorite spots. Still, it is a solid choice for a nice meal, especially if you are looking for something a little different in St. Louis.

Yelp
TLDR: A solid restaurant for that after work happy hour or the special date night. Come for the flatbreads, stay for the ribeye, and skip the desserts. I have been here several times now, both times with fairly large groups, so I have been able to explore quite a bit of what they have to offer! The restaurant itself is a staple in Lafayette Square and is a great addition to the food scene of the area. I have never had trouble finding parking as there is both a lot and street parking nearby. The entrance is tucked away, but the restaurant itself is fairly large. There are casual tables on the first floor with the bar, and more private ones upstairs for those date nights. The service is always great and helpful with recommendations on the menu. The menu itself is nice and concise and I have been fortunate to try a lot of it. The starters are all good, but I would highlight the Raviolis and Calamari. I'd honestly skip the soups and salads, unless you absolutely need one. I tried the shrimp and corn bisque and it was about 95% corn and 5% shrimp. The flatbreads are truly the stars of the menu. I have tried all 5 of the options on the menu and I can say without a doubt that the Chicken & Spicy 'Nduja Sausage option is amazing. As for the entrees, it's one of those menus where there aren't any "I have to get this" options but it still checks all the boxes for classic entrees. The steak was solid and is what I would recommend. I've also tried the salmon and it was very well seasoned and well worth it, but the vegetables served with it just didn't hit. The desserts all sound great, but I would skip unless you just need a sugar kick at the end. The gooey butter cake was the best though! Overall this is a restaurant that checks a lot of boxes and is somewhere I'd be more than happy to return to. It's just missing that one dish that just makes me have to come back. Although that flatbread is close. Meatballs: 3/5 Ravioli: 4/5 Calamari: 4/5 Shrimp & Corn Bisque: 2/5 Chicken & Spicy 'Nduja Sausage flatbread 10/5 (Other flatbreads 5/5) Ribeye: 5/5 Salmon: 3/5 (salmon itself was amazing, overall dish lacking)

Yelp
Had an absolutely amazing birthday dinner, service was great, very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and came out hot. Wish I could have ordered some of the bread to bring home! Amazing spot for a couples date or small family celebration, I will definitely be back.

Christy A.

Yelp
STL original and CA staple! I absolutely love Eleven Eleven. They've remained consistent over the years with great service and delicious food. Owner's are very welcoming & treat you like family. The employees from 1111 on over to their sister restaurant PW Pizza are awesome as well. My favorite dishes include grilled salmon, mushroom polenta, Brussels and there's usually a superb salad special. I'm not a bread pudding girl but there's is tasty for a party of two. COVID safe measures in place for indoor, outdoor or curbside dining. ~Chrst

Yelp
Another lovely evening at Eleven Eleven! We went early before going to a SLU basketball game. Great service and the food was exceptional as expected. Love the table bread! We had a reservation and were sat upstairs. I prefer downstairs so you can see the kitchen and the bar but we'd never been upstairs so it was nice to see what it's like.

Kelsie R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed 1111. We are on the patio and split all our dishes. It's a great spot with fantastic service and food. Loved: the wild boar ravioli was a standout! The sauce went really well with the ravioli. The patio was a great spot to hang out for happy hour The calamari and sausage & chicken flatbread were also pretty good! Liked: I had the hibiscus refresher mocktail that was good

Alexandria A.

Yelp
Enjoyed a nice date night dinner here with my man and it was really good. First off walking into the restaurant I was greeted by the amazing aroma of delicious food in the air. It smelled so good walking in and the ambiance was really nice. The wait staff was very friendly and we were seated pretty quickly. They have a really nice bar area and the restaurant has a nice rustic feeling to it. We ordered calamari for the appetizer, very crispy and fluffy. Very delicious. I had the Bronzino and my boyfriend had steak and yummy Brussels sprouts. The food came out nice and hot, really no complaints. It was a really nice restaurant

Molly T.

Yelp
Delicious food, great atmosphere! We had cocktails, appetizer, bread, and entrees. Everything was amazing. The wild boar ravioli was very unique, their your bread was great and loved the onions with it, and I had wild mushrooms with salmon - all very well prepared. My friend had the eggplant parm which looked amazing. The service was good as well. We are not from the area but would come back again when visiting.

Nikki R.

Yelp
Always a great place for dinner or a celebration. I took my boss here for dinner and he loved the steak, I loved the pasta and it was a great meal. We had excellent service and I was happy with how quickly we were served. We could have a nice conversation about the day while not feeling like we had to yell. The Tuscan inspired menu is always a hit- the fresh seasonal flavors and options make this a must stop for a good dinner!

Kelly W.

Yelp
We sat in the wine room for a friend's birthday and it was so lovely! The ambiance when you first walk into this restaurant is just perfect for a nice evening! Their brussel sprouts were super delish! I came here a LONG time ago and they had brocolli as a side dish and it was THE BEST brocolli I have probably ever had!

Corey K.

Yelp
1111 Is a Layette area classic. The menu is extensive with so many options. I have to say, they win me even with the bread course. Bread service it elevated with the flavor of a caramelized onion topping - so tasty. Even in temperate conditions, the heated patio can be a great spot for gathering. The bar is spacious and comfortable for drinks or dining in.

Julie T.

Yelp
Had dinner here before a concert at Chaifetz Arena. BF's petite filet was spot on. Unfortunately, my Italian Sausage flatbread fell short of expectations since it lacked flavor. Service was average.

Samantha L.

Yelp
This place is feels so fancy to me. Great place for an anniversary dinner or other celebration! The wine was chefs kiss, the waitress was knowledgeable and kind, and the environment was awesome! We were in the wine room with a group of people and it was really cool!

Bob K.

Yelp
The food is amazing, the service excellent. Ambiance is great for special occasions. Lots of choices on the menu so don't wait - go there if you've never experienced it before!

Erika L.

Yelp
Came here for my husband's birthday and had a great time! We had flat bread, pasta and shared a bottle of wine! Food was delicious, ambiance was quiet enough to talk but it was still a full house that night and service was good! We've been several times and would love to come back again!

Yelp
10/10 Stopped in while visiting St Louis for lunch. So glad we found 1111Mississippi. Service was great - our server gave us great recommendations of how to spend the weekend as well as all of the expected stuff. Opted for a mid-day drink with lunch. "Smokey" the beekeeper was amazing as was the Italian Mai Tai. Tried both the French Onion and Butternut squash soup and they we're delicious. I had the steak salad Husband had the meatloaf. It's served with a "creamy Marsala"... we agreed that it's more like a white mushroom gravy, but very good Son has the pear and fig flatbread We all agreed Eleven Eleven Mississippi needs a 2nd location in Hoover, AL. PLEASE.

Yelp
Yum yum! Went here with the family (teens) before seeing a show at the Fox. It's more upscale dining than a family dinner atmosphere. We had a reservation and they sat us right away. The server was very attentive, and got us our food, drinks, and off to the show in time. The food was absolutely delicious. They have an extensive gluten free menu, and we had plenty of leftovers. We'll be back!

Yelp
Hello, darlings. Did you miss me? It's been a busy week, but my lovely, handsome gentleman and I managed to sneak away to 1111 Mississippi in the beautiful Lafayette Square of South City, St. Louis. This cozy gem was the perfect setting for our evening. The lighting and ambiance hit just right whether you're in the mood for a romantic moment or a family gathering. The drinks were as impressive as ever, and I must confess, I felt the effects by the night's end! We started with the antipasti board, and let me tell you, the cheeses and apricot jam were absolutely my favorites. The shrimp corn chowder bisque was nothing short of heavenly, and my spinach salad paired perfectly with it. As for my dashing gentleman, he enjoyed a classic Caesar salad and a flatbread that was just right for the occasion. Thank you, 1111 Mississippi, for helping us create another romantic memory during a dreamy summer evening in St. Louis. What more could this Midwestern Belle ask for? Until next time, Sierra

Yelp
This establishment is on my personal St. Louis top 10 GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) list of restaurants! In the 10+ times I have been here for lunch or dinner, I have never had a mediocre or bad meal, nor anything less than stellar service. Grabbed a lunch reservation for four on OpenTable to celebrate the holidays with my team. Greeted by friendly and efficient host who sat us on the main floor. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu (have seen him many times over the years... I need to get his name). We ordered from the ever evolving menu and enjoyed the excellent focaccia bread while we waited. What we ordered: - crispy chicken confit: (4.25/5) The taste was amazing. The chicken was tender and crunchy. Sauce and potatoes worked well together. Nice herbs to brighten it up. The chicken was small - pasta special with spinach, mushrooms, beef tips, vodka cream sauce: (4.5/5) Phenomenal - Mushroom flatbread: (4/5) Well executed Love the Tuscany vibe of this place.

Yelp
Our first experience here was outstanding from food quality to sever quality it was a flawless service. And made us want to come back and bring friends and considering for business meetings. We decided to have a birthday celebration there in the wine cellar and the experience was disappointing to say the least. It was clear the server did not want to be serving our party, we were rushed and the food was mediocre at best. I wouldn't recommend coming here for a celebration or group meal. Sadly we won't be returning unless it is a simple date night or small gathering.

Kelse S.

Yelp
Eleven Eleven has quite a reputation in stl, so for my birthday celebration, I decided it was time to check it out. We made a reservation several weeks ago which is always super appreciated when that's an option. We were seated quickly on the second(ish) floor that overlooks the restaurant. It's truly an vibey spot- low light aesthetic with some cool designs in it. Our table was super close to some other tables, so they definitely are a busy spot! We started out with cocktails, I got the spicy pineapple Margarita which was great! I love spicy margs, so the pineapple was a nice touch. My friend recommended getting the wild boar ravioli which was delicious. The sauce was fantastic and went great with the bread they gave our table. We also got the mushroom and Brussels sprouts toast. It was an interesting concept. I liked the ravioli the best. We love getting several entrees and splitting them. We got the following: - mushroom flatbread: it was a bit toasted for my preference but had an overall good taste - meatball flatbread: loved the fresh basil on it! Meatballs were great quality. - steak linguine: this was good, I think it would be super awesome to have the steak as a presentation on-top of the pasta rather than mixed in, but it was tasty! - crispy chicken confit: super tender and fell right off the bone. It was delicious The staff also brought out a birthday dessert for me which was super appreciated. It was gooey butter cake. More on the cake side than the gooey side, so depending on your GBC preferences- this might be the perfect fit for you :) Our server was wonderful and very attentive.

Patty C.

Yelp
Service was amazing. Food was delicious and cooked as requested. I believe that John was out sever. He was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed. The bread...to die for. I could have eaten that all day.

Marguerite C.

Yelp
I came in town from Chicago to visit my family and my son and daughter in-law raved about it, so we went last night (February 22, 2025). The appetizers (mushrooms and mussels) probably would have been better if they were hot instead of barely warmed over. The entrees ( two 12 oz ribeye dinners and one salmon diner) ALL of it was nasty. The manager was notified and he also noticed the ribeyes having way too much fat and the Brussel sprouts were over cooked. The salmon was tasteless. The manager did offer our meals to be replaced. We thanked him, but respectfully declined.

Star B.

Yelp
What a cute gem of a restaurant with a lovely look, amazing wine list and excellent food! Was in town for a meeting and eating different places daily but we came back to 1111 and told everyone else it's a must try! The house bread is delicious, the pasta is home made and fresh, the soups are delicious everything is fresh tasting and flavorful. A must try!! Also friendly service Jenny took great care of us!

Lindsay M.

Yelp
5 stars all around. Mussels and crab-stuffed mushroom caps for appetizers--delicious! The mocktail was one of a few options, also delicious. I had the seabass, friend had the filet mignon and other friend had the rib eye. All three entrees were cooked to perfection. Portions were ample for the appetizers and the entrees. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. We enjoyed our dinner and will be back any time we are in St Louis. Thank you!

Carol K.

Yelp
My husband and I had a late Valentines dinner here, and everything about this restaurant is memorable. We love seafood and were not disappointed. Service was prompt and atmosphere just right for an evening out. The restaurant sells local honey made in Lafayette Square and we took home a jar for $8. This was our first dinner here in about a year. Also great for a business lunch.

Misty S.

Yelp
They have a cute outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside. Menu offered unique dishes and the service was good. Street parking was easy to find out front. Golden Rod Mango Cart beer $6 - Refreshing and mango-ey, hard to tell it's even beer. Bresaola and Mushrooms $14 - Unique flavors that compliment each other, my favorite dish of the night. Chicken Diablo Fusilli $25 - Fun skinny spiral noodles in red creamy sauce. Italian Sausage Flatbread $15 - Fully loaded and looks like a thin crust pizza. Spicy Garlic Broccoli Rabe $7 - This broccoli is a leafier than broccolini, easy to eat, but they weren't spicy. .|\---/| | o_o | .\_^_/..2023

Yelp
Second time being here and I probably don't have to go back again. We originally loved this place for the eggplant Parmesan but it seems like they changed it and it's such a disappointment now. For the pricing there's many more places to check out in Stl. Flatbread was sooo dry. I will say probably one of the most delicious steaks I've had but again there's other places I would prefer to pay at. Ambiance is boring and dark and the service was just alright for the money you pay.

Stacey C.

Yelp
Eleven Eleven Mississippi is a rustic Tuscan restaurant located in St. Louis. They serve a variety of starters, house-made pastas, signature entrees, flatbreads, and desserts. They do offer some gluten free and vegan options as well as rotating specials. They also have a nice selection of wines and cocktails and are stocked with a full bar. My party and I came here for dinner today and I have to say, it may be my new favorite spot! I ordered the Sicilian Manhattan to start which included a blood orange amoro liquor, rye whiskey, and cherry syrup. It had a nice deep flavor and was the perfect way to start the night. We were also served complimentary focaccia bread which was topped with caramelized onions and had olive oil with Parmesan and black pepper to dip. The focaccia bread was incredible! I could have eaten that alone for dinner and my party and I devoured that quickly. For an entree, I ordered the Veal special with potatoes, broccolini, and a topped arugula salad with balsamic glaze. Everything was so delicious!! The veal was fried to perfection and the potatoes were toasted and flavored so well. The arugula salad and broccolini went perfectly with the potatoes and veal. The portion was large so I had leftovers to go! Lastly, we ordered the Creme Custard Napoleon which was like a crime brûlée but had layers of crunch mixed in between and then a banana glaze. The dessert was so creamy and not too sweet. We loved it!! Our server was great and the food all came out quickly. I will definitely keep this restaurant at the top of my list for special occasions! The vibes inside are upscale yet cozy and were the perfect way to spend a cold snowy evening.

Treba D.

Yelp
Our service was absolutely top tier. Our waiter was friendly and tentative to our needs. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside this day. The dinner space is intimate. There were a lot of groups dining this particular evening. I personally didn't care for the bread that is served but everything else was immaculate. I had the ribeye medium-rare it was delicious.

Dave B.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times but it's been a few years since I have been back. After this last visit I will be going back very soon! This is one of those weird casual/ dress up date night spots, or a great place to meet up with some friends for drinks and a meal at the bar. The brick exposed wall give you that city feel. We arrived without a reservation and were told it would possibly be an hour. We sat at the bar and had a drink and the host made it a point to get us seated. I was able to book on OpenTable for a last min table that opened up, but honestly the host was so on it that we would have been seated around the same time. I would recommend a reservation though. I ordered the petite fillet with risotto. One word....Wow! I ordered it medium and it came out a little bit more cooked that that, but nothing I was worried about or anything I would normally say anything about. . The waitress was the one that brought it up and immediately asked if they could prepare another one for me. I thanked her, but said it wouldn't be necessary. Shortly after that the manager came over and apologized for it being slightly overcooked and offered to refire a steak. I again thanked them and told them it was unnecessary. My girlfriend order the chicken Alfredo, and that was unreal. I may get that next time as well! Get the in house special old fashion. It's smoked and had a cherry taste. Place is great and would HIGHLY recommend! Can't wait to visit soon!

Laura H.

Yelp
Came here on a date and it was an awesome experience! We had made reservations (which I recommend doing a few days in advanced of you want to claim indoor seats instead of the heated patio). The service was friendly and didn't have to wait long for our orders to come. We ordered off the special for the night. We got seared tuna in a sesame glaze and pork chops with a Pineapple glaze. Thr pork chop were packed with flavor! The tuna was more on the milder side. Then the drinks! I love them both. The jalapeño marg was one of the best I've ever had and the smokey sour was a perfect sour. Would've ordered more if we hadn't already had plans for a bar afterwards! Then dessert was the ooey gooey butter cake. It was delicious especially with the glass of milk. But it had more of a cake consistency then ooey gooey. Overall great experience and would love to come back!

Ben B.

Yelp
I have 0 complaints! The food is of the upmost quality and the service is supreme! The staff is friendly but not overly chatty. They go above and beyond to be sincerely pleasant and welcoming. 10/10 food, 10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere/ambiance. Actually... it'd be nice if the meatloaf could also come in a version that is made using only beef rather than a mix of beef and pork, but I don't expect the entire World to accommodate me. However, from a business standpoint, it could be practical to switch or provide a halal/kosher alternative. (I am Muslim, and I also noticed Jewish families also enjoying this fine establishment).

Julie L.

Yelp
service and wine, wonderful food was average at best. I ordered the lamb Ragu, not hot, no sauce, chewy noodles. extremely disappointed for this restaurant and price.

A R.

Yelp
Nice vibe! Food and drinks were delish. Decor and service were wonderful. Will definitely visit again!

Miguel R.

Yelp
I came for lunch with a group of friends. Based on other reviews I read, I was expecting to have a good experience. I was totally let down! The reviews that appear on this and other pages are very questionable! I should have heeded the first warning: when we arrived, only three other tables were occupied. This was a definite sign. This was far from the Tuscan food I've enjoyed in other cities in the US and elsewhere. The food was very bad and the service was horrible! The waitress needs training, a math class--she was unable to get the check right--as well as a basic course in social skills. I don't think I'll ever return! I rate it one star because I don't have the option to rate it zero stars! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Alena H.

Yelp
Every time I've gone to eleven eleven Mississippi I have not been impressed with the food. It's good, but it's not 4, 5 stars good. It's a great location, atmosphere, and service, but if the food doesn't wow me I can do more than 3. Maybe a good spot for just drinks and apps with friends!

Mike N.

Yelp
Pricey but very good food. Service was above average. Very nice environment. Parking on street was awful as St Louis does not plow side roads.

Chrissy E.

Yelp
When can I go back? I came here right after work because I was starving and in need of a pesto fix. I happened to come during happy hour, which unbeknownst to me, ended up working out as all glasses of wines were half off. Does this mean I can get Meiomi for the low? Say less! I decided to sit at the bar and was greeted right away. Within a couple of minutes, I was given their complimentary bread and olive oil. Their bread is unique because it's soft, has some stuff on top, and pairs really well with the olive oil. Needless to say, it was devoured, although I did manage to save a couple slices to ensure I could enjoy what I came there for. I opted to get what I thought was a small, starter salad and I chose the Caesar. To my amazement, I got more than what I bargained for but believe you me, it was worth it. The salad had a nice balance of cheese and sauce, which is important because nowadays, you either get one or the other, not both. The croutons are ere unbelievably crunchy and pretty full of flavor. I enjoyed the Parmesan crisp as well! The salad got devoured and then it was on to the main course. The pesto was divine. I'm salivating just thinking about it! Each noodle really held on to the sauce and paired well with the shrimp and other things they added to it. The sauce itself was creamy and not too thin but not too thick. It truly was "just right!" I savored every bite and can assure you, no crumbs were left behind. The glass of meiomi was chefs kiss! Ugh, this meal was truly delicious! I can't wait to come back!

Alyssa C.

Yelp
We made a reservation here for Valentine's Day as it has been on our "need to try" list for a while, and it did not disappoint to say the least! The wine selection was amazing, the service was excellent, and the food was to die for. Already cannot wait to go back! To start, we ordered a bottle of Italian wine that we have never tried before. We asked the waitress if she thought we would enjoy it after we told her that we normally stick to Cabernet and Dry Reds, and she said absolutely. Well, she was right! For Dinner, I ordered the Petite Filet on a bed of mushroom risotto. The filet was cooked to perfection and the risotto was a perfect creamy texture with rich flavor. My fiancé ordered the other steak on the Valentine's Day menu, and he had nothing but good things to say as well. For Desert, we ordered a piece of tiramisu to share. It was rich in flavor, but not too soggy, which is a fine line to walk with this desert. It was also a fairly large piece, so it was nice to share. We both agreed that we would go back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice ambiance, spectacular meal, and excellent service.

Maddie W.

Yelp
4.5/5 stars The short & sweet review: It was a great spot, nice atmosphere with enough chatter around you to make it feel busy but not chaotic. The food was delicious, I definitely recommend the ribeye & the Crème Custard Napoleon for dessert. I certainly think I'll come back! The more detailed review: I went here for a date night and it was such a good spot (kudos to the boyfriend )! The food came out quickly & our server was attentive to our needs but gave us space too. We started with calamari & two soups: the butternut squash & the shrimp corn bisque. I thought the latter was definitely superior, certainly the more savory of the two. The butternut squash was really sweet for my taste & heavy on the fall flavors but my boyfriend loved it! For entrees we enjoyed the chicken and the ribeye--both great, but that steak definitely came out on top. Very flavorful and juicy; cooked to perfection. We did end the night with dessert and that may have been the best part--Crème Custard Napoleon. Oh my gosh it was delicious. Equal parts creamy with a solid crunch & the carameled bananas were heavenly. I don't think you'd be wrong just to come by for dessert one day!

Yelp
Absolute favorite restaurant! It never disappoints. The service is always outstanding and the food is simply delicious, fresh and well portioned. Wine menu is extensive as well as dessert drinks and sweet treats. Atmosphere is lovely, not too loud and not too quiet. I would love to see the crab cake appetizer come back, please!

Yelp
The ambiance is really nice . I loved the look and decor . A nice place for meetings , events or drinks . My food was okay . They were out of what I really wanted . The salmon was slightly overcooked and risotto. The bread was pretty good although unexpected . The service was great . The waitress knew the menu and gave opinions. The manager at the time did come by and check on the table . This was my first time at this restaurant .

Yelp
We dined at Eleven Eleven Mississippi for Valentine's Day and had a great time! They had a special prix fixe menu for the night so my husband and I decided to go with that. We left full and happy! Our server was also fantastic and recommended a great bottle of Cab Franc to go with our meal I'd have to say my favorite part of the meal was the tiramisu with the strawberry sauce. It was the perfect night cap.

Yelp
Great place. Excellent for a date night or with a few couple friends...highly recommend! The ambiance is fantastic; mixture of both old and new, with a cool rustic feel. Vaulted ceilings, cool center bar that opens to the lower dining area and nice little nooks for either an intimate or raucous dinner party. Noticed they have a private wine room for a larger gathering and would be an awesome spot for family or friend celebrations. The food is 5 star. Simple menu loaded with lighter fare or comfort Italian cuisine if your wanting something a little heavier. Excellent taste and full of vibrant flavors. I had the Mahi, Mahi special...it was off the hook!! You can't go wrong with the eggplant appetizer either...it was perfect! Add the extra touch of freshly baked bread and olive oil...top notch! Great beers on tap, solid (and well priced) wine selection and unique concoction of cocktails. Great bar! So why the 4 star versus the 5 based upon this culinary experience? The staff. They weren't mean, they just weren't very nice. They were "meh". The hostess never cracked a smile and was surprised while making eye contact on the way out...not even a good bye or "come see us again". Our server...not good. Easily more money could be made if he offered up some recommendations and even asked suggested an app, a salad, dessert or anything. It was a bit odd frankly. Finally, forgot our salads to start, so that was disappointing and another money making opportunity. I still highly, highly recommend!! Every business is allowed an off night, just was surprised when you take into consideration all the other great qualities of this very unique and first class place! Give it try!!!

Yelp
This is a lovely restaurant in beautiful Lafayette Square. It was pretty busy last night but we were able to nab a reservation at the last minute. The service was good, people super nice. Restaurant is very cozy. I had a salad special. It was delicious. Bread....delicious. It took a while to get the food. Most likely short staffed. Our table ordered confit chicken (good but cook the carrots more!), eggplant parmigiana (excellent!), shrimp scampi-(just okay sauce watery), and mushroom polenta with grilled chicken...the chicken was great, the mushrooms weren't cooked properly. No seasoning on the whole dish. The spinach on top was watery thus making the entire dish soggy. I could show them how to cook mushrooms. If you do it right, they are fantastic. Our cocktails were good except that old Fashioned was too small. I've never seen one made like that. Manager very attentive and I probably should have said something but just didn't feel like it. It took a while to get our entrees so didn't want to wait for something else. Still a nice place to eat just don't get the polenta ;)

Yelp
I want to really like this place, because it's somewhere a lot of people I know like to frequent. That being said, I've just never had a meal here that positively stood out in any way. The last 2 times I've had a steak and a flatbread, and when I say that Texas Roadhouse and Pizza Hut blows what I had out of the water, that's saying something. I'll stick with 3 stars because service has always been good, and it's cute and accommodating inside.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful celebratory dinner on a recent Thursday evening. The restaurant itself is lovely with a nice vibe and ambience. Kelly was our server - she is attentive, knowledgeable, and delightful! The food was excellent as was the wine (recommended by Kelly). Joe, the host (and perhaps the owner!) was also so kind and generous. He checked on us throughout the evening and made a point to thank us for coming at the end of the evening. We love St. Louis and now we have a new restaurant of choice that has moved up to the top of our list. Thank you, Joe and Kelly!
