On a menu where the most expensive item is $43, I felt absolutely scammed to learn (when I received the bill) that the market price of the steak was $213. It’s a Bear Creek Farm Ribeye, which is the standard for most Nashville restaurants, and shiitake shoyu. We didn’t even finish it because we were having to spit out globs of fat with every bite. It was my least favorite dish of the night and one of the worst steaks I’ve had.
You’d think at that price there would be a bite of caviar, a side, something else in addition to a piece of fatty meat on a plate for $200+.
I’ve certainly learned my lesson to ask what the market price is from now on, but feel they should alert the patron when the price hike is that severe.
The atmosphere is lovely, the service was impeccable, but the pricing has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don’t know if I’ll return.
