The lamb gnocchi is incredible. Also highly recommend the grilled barramundi! The scallops, chutoro toast, and crab fried rice were solid. We finished our sticky toffee pudding but personally I found the miso caramel to be a bit overpowering. We walked in with no issue as we were in the area. Our server Then was great— so sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu! Overall, a great meal <3

Food was interesting, but nothing that was absolutely mindblowing in anyway, I had expected more for the price. Roasted cabbage: Tasty and interesting, but it was quite akin to having instant noodle seasoning on a cabbage. Chuutoro toast: sushi with bread instead of rice, pleasant as any decent chutoro would be but underwhelming at ~$5 a bite Barramundi: the meat was quite tender, but perhaps a bit underdone. The sauce felt quite fusiony and didnt seem to complement the fish very well Lamb Gnocchi: Probably enjoyed this the most of the savory dishes followed by the cabbage. The lamb smell is present but overall very flavorful. Desserts we had Dragonfruit pannacotta and Sticky toffee pudding, both very enjoyable, and honestly was much happier with these than the savory offerings Went here on a crowded day so it was quite bustling and noisy. Might be better on weekdays

Fantastic experience. Varied menu with a lot of flexibility from the staff and a well balanced flavour profile. The lamb gnocchi and the hamachi crudo were standouts. Dipti and the front of house were so welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. Great wines by the glass. For the price I couldn’t recommend it enough

We went for the set menu and really enjoyed it. They’re happy to adapt dishes to allergies if needed, which we appreciated. We were especially impressed by the starters: the lamb skewers and the tuna and potato bites were excellent. The chicken was good, with a nicely balanced sauce. The noodles were too spicy for us, and the dessert was a bit too sweet for our taste, but if you have a sweet tooth, you’ll probably love it. The staff were absolutely lovely and even took a souvenir photo for us with their own camera !

First visit to Elgin Saigon. Booked as a treat for our 40th wedding anniversary visiting from N Ireland. Absolutely wonderful meal and staff very engaging and helpful. The flavours were so fresh and we loved every dish we ordered. We shared the lamb skewers, scallops and sea bass then the miso cabbage all fabulous. The pork belly with charred Brussels sprouts was out of this world - I could have enjoyed this all to myself as a main!!! We were able to order a half portion of the crab fried rice, again surpassed our expectations. Thank you for the special touch to welcome us on our anniversary. We would highly recommend and would love to return. You never know!

We’ve wanted to visit for a while and we are kicking ourselves we waited this long to try Elgin! It’s an intimate space with a minimalistic but home-y vibe. We started with the ceviche and I loved the addition of Thai basil to give it that Vietnamese familiarity taste. My favourite by far was the potato cakes; it was basically an elevated hash brown. The cabbage was a close second. It was crunchy, full of umami flavour, and very creamy but not in a heavy way. Our last dish was the fish. I felt it was over cooked so the texture was rubbery. I’m not sure if the skin is able to get crunchy but it was soft and hard to cut so I only took a few bites. We have an intolerance to dairy and we felt like we hit our max so we didn’t get dessert because they all had dairy in it. We were surprised at the end by the watermelon granita (dairy free!) and the salted pistachios with the watermelon was chefs kiss. We will definitely be back!

Very lovely blend of modern cuisine with Vietnamese inspired flavours and ingredients. Each component of each dish felt very intentional and worked really well with each other. My favourites were the hamachi crudo in a green coconut curry sauce, XO crab fried rice and the sticky toffee pudding (one of the best I’ve had - the savoury bits balanced out the sweetness perfectly). Staff were also very warm, attentive and accommodating. Will be back when I return to Saigon. Thank you:)

I really wanted to like the food more than I actually did. Generally everything we got was pretty likable in terms of flavors, but unfortunately no 'wow moment' for me. I usually do a pre review of menus beforehand and the descriptions actually made me hungry, so was slightly underwhelmed. I did like the pecking duck croquettes and the shrimp pasta the most. The pork belly was just okay, was expecting a lot more as it’s highly recommended. The other dishes were good and had potential but were seem to be missing that oomph factor. We really however enjoyed our desserts and orange wine that we got!
