Amazing food, drinks and ambiance. What more could you want in cafe? Dirty matcha one of the best balanced drinks I’ve had - I’ll be dreaming about it. Chicken Laap we loved and the shrimp in the rice shrimp bowl was amazing! Not pictured - egg bahn mi and chicken bahn mi that were good - bread amazing but would go back for the rice dishes. Note rice is a bit like sticky rice - not traditional fluffy which I still really enjoyed

Google
Wonderful place to get Vietnamese food with a modern twist. I love the aesthetics of the restaurant and enjoyed eating outside. Very roomy space and casual atmosphere. The menu was large and easy to read with lots of delicious options. I got the dirty Matcha, which was decent. I got the Dumplings. Switch worked good. The highlight of the meal was the chicken spring rolls with their amazing sauces. The beignets with the jam was incredible. I highly recommend this place. I would come back.

I have been passing by this cute cafe for too long and decided to give it a try… the food did disappoint me … I order a Grilled Chicken Banh Mi but the bread was stale to the point I had to eat it without the bread. However the tea and beignets were very good. The service was super and the atmosphere was great.

This was FANTASTIC!! The salt and pepper shrimp bah mi was spicy and fresh & the ginger dumplings were out of this world. The broth was beyond!! Also cute uniforms on the servers.

We stopped by Elizabeth Street Café during happy hour and were blown away. The service was fast, friendly, and spot-on. Even with the heat, the ambiance was perfect—cool mist, gentle fans, and great music made the patio surprisingly comfortable. We ordered the crispy spicy shrimp spring roll, pork chili oil dumplings, salt and pepper shrimp bánh mì, brownie, and the beignets (served with a delicious jelly!). Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The pork chili dumplings are what I wish we had more of. The cocktails were light, refreshing, and a perfect complement to the food. Happy hour is half price appetizers and bahn mi, $5 off drinks. This place is a must-visit—everything from the vibe to the food was exceptional.

Google
Elizabeth Cafe at Hotel Sain Vincent is just a few blocks from our house and I visit quite frequently. In the morning for coffee and pastries or Quiche, sit down or take away. There's a patio under an awning or you can sit at tables in the side courtyard at the Saint Vincent. Bring a book, relax and live in the moment for an hour. The pastries are excellent, especially the almond Croissant. For lunch, the Vietnamese food is truly some of the best I've had and I've been eating Vietnamese for over 40 years. Of course NOLA is known for having some of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the country, so there are many opportunities to sample. The Pork Belly & Fried Egg Bahn Mi is a standout as are all.of the Bahn Mi sandwiches. The Crispy Spring Rolls and the soups are excellent as well. It's all good really.

Google
I enjoyed my visit to the Elizabeth Street Cafe New Orleans. It seems to be as much a bakery as a Vietnamese Restaurant. The inside area is small, but very nicely organized. The food items definitely have a Vietnamese flair but the pastry selection is also impressive. There is an outdoor seating area available, the food is good and the service is excellent.

Google
Having almost exclusively outside seating in a city where it’s oppressively hot 9 months out of the year is an interesting choice. I assume this is supposed to be more of a grab and go place? If you’re coming expecting to be able to relax and chat with your friends, I’d go elsewhere. The food was okay, but nothing special, and $13 for spring rolls is kind of insane. Very few options for folks with dietary restrictions.

Yelp
Busy little place with an incredible ambiance. We were actually walking there and one person in our group said "oh that building is so cool" and it turned out that was the very place we were going to. I'm from Charleston so am no stranger to a fried oyster but never had them Cajun fried so I went with the Bahn Mi. The seasoning wasn't necessarily over the top Cajun but the combination of the seasoning and the other sauces made for a good flavor profile. The oysters were good. The spring rolls were ok. Katharine wanted to go with something light. They were light and served as good vehicles for peanut sauce and hoisin sauce!

Yelp
Very good food, cocktails, and wine list. Excellent service! If you like outdoor dining, this place is amazing!!

Yelp
Asian fusion food, very delicious, with lots of options. Customer service was great, cute dining area.

Yelp
Attractive spot with nice baked goods, unfriendly service, and TERRIBLE "Vietnamese" fusion, ranging from the flavorless (shrimp sticky rice bowl) to the actively nasty (the red curry Dan Dan noodles) This restaurant puts shredded carrots and daikon on their bowls and banh mi, which is standard, but they don't care about flavor at all - the veggies weren't pickled even lightly, resulting in more flavorlessness. Overall, it's more style than substance, but maybe the super rich people at the adjacent hotel don't care.

Yelp
A tiny cafe tucked away in the courtyard serves up wonderful pastries and delicious coffee. Sit in the courtyard and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday and unfortunately, pho was not available until 11am. I tried the almond croissant, it was really delicious and light. Very cute quaint cafe, seating is outdoors and there's ample parking.

Yelp
the atmosphere is ok. it looks over the parking lot...which is not terrible. however I found the menu very high in carbs so not mych for people w blood sugar issues...all noodles, rice... forget keto or healthy lunch...just carbs w a teeny tiny bit of protein...

Yelp
Great experience at a cute, cozy spot! The ambiance of the outside seating is wonderful for an evening of courtyard seating. Ordering takes place in a little cafe with the kitchen and a case of tasty looking baked goods. You can pick your outdoor seating...every table has some up lighting and an umbrella. The person who we ordered with was super nice and patient as we chose our dishes, and the food was promptly brought out. Every dish was delicious...you can tell that all of the ingredient are fresh and prepared in-house! We had no leftovers, lol. After dinner, we explored Hotel St. Vincent which is adjacent to the cafe....super romantic vibes! Wonderful experience all the way around.

Yelp
There's something that's just so beautiful about this cafe. If you are staying at the St. Vincent hotel it is an absolute must and I went here every morning (sometimes multiple times a day) for my coffee. It is the best coffee in New Orleans and has an amazing atmosphere and outdoor sitting area.

Yelp
I'm so glad we came to this place. Surprised to find out Banh mi is half off since 3-6 pm Mon-Fri is their happy hour. I enjoyed the fried cajun shrimp banh mi. The Singapore noodles are delicious too. I don't think I had this type of noddle before, more chewy than I thought but the flavor is excellent. Their bakery is so good! The passion fruit cruffin (croissant dough baked into a muffin shape) is amazing! The scone was delicious too. We loved the bakery so much and decided to came back the day after just for another cruffin. Totally worth the trip.

Connie L.

Yelp
Wonderful French Vietnamese food. The dumplings in chili oil were amazing! Had to get a second order they were so good. Friendly accommodating staff. Enjoy dinner in the garden patio. Indoor seating is limited.

Morgan C.

Yelp
So good. If I could come here everyday I would. The almond croissant is the best I've ever had. Don't even get me started on the dumpling and bahn mi

Yelp
Loved the food. Meh on the service. We did Elizabeth Street Cafe for brunch one weekend. The weather was terrible...cold and rainy. And it's a spot with all outdoor seating. That being said, they had heaters above and blankets for those interested. All things considered, they do nice job of insulating their patrons from the weather. Something to keep in mind if dining in. The food was great. Everything we had we loved. - Ginger Chili oil dumplings - great! Could have drank the extra broth - Fried egg, pork belly & avocado Banh Mi - solid - Elizabeth St. Fried Rice with redfish - really missed an opportunity. Shari V got the fish over the Ribeye which is offered for this dish. Still, it was very tasty. Make for great left overs too The servers were nice but not very super effective. Service was slow. It took them a long time...maybe 20 minutes between us ordering a decaf latte for them to tell us their was no decaf. It's no big deal not to have it, but let me know sooner. Insult to injury, they still charged us for the latte. I only noticed once we got home. In that vein, Shari V ordered a tea which never arrived. Also got charged. It was like $11 of beverages that we never drank. Still stings writing about it. But to their credit, the food was great. I'll still go back. Actually, I'm more likely to pick up from this spot.

Yelp
Has a really cute ambiance and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have their own parking lot. Outdoor seating only. The cocktails were good. We had the chicken ball pho, shrimp and avocado spring roll appetizer and banh mi sandwich. Food was delicious but no noodles in pho. Prices felt high.

Kino S.

Yelp
Cute little place. I came for a couple appetizers. The spring rolls have great sauces, but that's about it. For others it could be more appealing. It seems to fall apart after a couple bites. The chili dumplings are amazing. Customers are very kind and generous. Didn't try their table sauces. Not sure if I would return

Yelp
Beautiful little cafe on the grounds of the Saint Vincent hotel. They serve coffee and pastries if you want to pick something up quick, but you can also sit down for lunch and dinner. We ordered the pork belly banh mi and the sizzlin steak and eggs dish, and both were phenomenal. The pork belly was nice and crispy, and the bread for the banh mi was super soft (I generally like my bread toasted but this was good too). The steak in the steak and eggs was super tender and flavorful. The beignets were also yummy- they're mini size which is perfect for a light bite and the jam flavors are unique and so good (lychee raspberry and strawberry guava). I'm definitely coming back soon to try more on the menu!

Nicole W.

Yelp
The food here is AMAZING!!!! I didn't realize what this place was at first. I had walked passed it many times, until one day i decided to stop by and try it. I went there for happy hour. BEST DECISION EVER! I had their chicken Bahn mi! Omggggg so good!!!

Golden T.

Yelp
I got the chili oil dumplings with a side baguette. The beverage I ordered was one of the spritz on the menu. Dumplings were phenomenal, tangy, spicy, sweet amazing umami flavor. The baguette was a wonderful suggestion to sop up that wonderful juice at the bottom. However closing out did through me off a bit. Bill was 31 and some change I hanged a girl who originally wasn't my waiter a 50$ bill with my check. I waited about 10minutes for my change which was odd because I was the only one sitting there. She comes back and says oh sorry I wasn't sure if you needed change. I've worked in the industry never assume and just take someone's change. I was planning to tip but something about paying 50$ for spritz, bread and FIVE dumplings doesn't sit right with me. I'd love to come back hopefully they don't try to trick me out a 70% tip.

Yelp
I came here for a business lunch. Beautiful outdoor location with perfect details. I don't know how the place will be come full known summertime although they do have water fans to accommodate. As a group we got shrimp spring rolls. Beautiful presentation with 3 beautiful and flavorful dips. I wanted to try something new and got the BÁNH CUÔN. Beautifully plated with a dipping sauce. It was delicious if not a bit too salty for me.
google avatar

Jenny S.

Yelp
Just stumbled upon this cute and quaint restaurant by chance. The smell and the cute patio drew me in. It is only outside seating and take out. The outside seating is so cute! We ordered the shrimp spring rolls and the marinated pork bowl. The ingredients were so fresh in everything. It was a nice difference from all of the fried New Orleans food we at the day before. The marinated pork in the bowl was so delicious.

Yelp
It's nice place to enjoy some Vietnamese food. Although very pricey. We saw this place walking down magazine st and impulsively decided to try it out. We got the Banh Cuon, dumplings, pork banh mi and viet coffee. Our favorite was the banh mi and I will say this is one of the few places that chars the meat to give it that extra flavor. The banh cuon was alright. It was super thick and chewy compared to what I'm used too. The fish sauce was missing some sugar to balance it. The dumplings had a good texture but flavor was missing a citrus punch so maybe some rice vinegar was needed. Viet coffee was a let down. Come during happy hour M-F 3pm-6pm for half off appetizers and banh mi.

Yelp
NOLA has a large amount of Vietnamese food but with Elizabeth's coming into St. Vincent's hotel, it brings a different vibe compared to many other vietnamese restaurants. While still tasting good, they decided to mix it up a bit and take the cuisine to the next level with some modern amenities such as a great courtyard, cocktails, & wait staff. Here is their Dan Dan Noodles (not Vietnamese), Banh Xeo [Vietnamese Savory Crepe], and some yummy dumplings! @phidingthefam

Yelp
We were warmly greeted and seated promptly, orders placed, and our food and drinks arrived quickly. The plates were gorgeous and the sauces are spectacular. Our daughter ordered the sautéed (yawn) tofu salad and to my astonishment it tasted fabulous, spicy and perfectly marinated and pan- browned. The drinks were good, too, my margarita was served with a dollop of sciracha, yum.

Yelp
Lovely location in a lovely hotel. Great experience overall. Tremendous happy hour. 1/2 off appetizers and banh mi. $2 off cocktails, beer, wine. The food was pretty good. Chili oil dumplings were okay. Crispy/fried pork banh mi was pretty good as well. Good flavoring, slightly overpowered by the mint though but it was okay once I took some of it out. Dine in with table service available. Nice patio with outdoor seating. I'll be back to check out the other items on a nice day.

Yelp
I had a good meal at Elizabeth Street Cafe! They have a happy hour from 3-6 PM on weekdays where there is half off appetizers and bahn mis. I got the chili oil dumplings which I really enjoyed though they were not super spicy. I also got the grilled pork bahn mi which was pretty good though the meat was a little dry. The service was great and it is very pleasant to eat outside under the umbrellas and misters. I would go back to try more of the menu.

Yelp
Okay, I was very skeptical of this place - it seemed a little too trendy on the outside. But let me tell you, we LOVED it. For me personally, it didn't feel like a watered down version of Vietnamese food which is what I kinda expected. Overall the flavors were great and the food was delicious - I'll definitely be returning. We started off with the steamed rice rolls which were TO DIE FOR. For real, I could eat a whole plate of these myself. Everything about this dish was delicious and the shrimp were soooo fresh. For a main I decided to get the Banh Cuon which was very similar to the rice roll we got as an appetizer. It was delicious but I preferred the sauce with the appetizer more. My partner got the Dan Dan which was overall good but the broth lacked some flavor - needed more salt for sure, though overall not bad. Their beignets taste straight up like toaster strudels which I enjoyed, haha! Service was also so sweet and quick even tho they were packed. I'm excited to come back for their happy hour and try some new things!

Yelp
I love the atmosphere here at Elizabeth Street Cafe! The area is so beautiful at Hotel St.Vincent. The service is also great! What we got for brunch: Ginger-Chili Oil Dumplings- pork, shrimp, water chestnuts, herbs. The chili oil sauce they put on top was incredible! The server gave us fresh baked bread to dip in the leftover sauce and it was the best way to savor all the flavor. Grilled Ribeye Elizabeth Street Fried Rice- grilled ribeye, bonito flake, spicy caramel. Will be honest this dish was not for me. The ribeye itself was cooked well but I did not enjoy the fried rice. Their coffee and pastries still have my heart!

Yelp
While New Orleans isn't lacking Vietnamese food, Elizabeth Street Cafe does not disappoint. Located at St. Vincent, the patio is a beautiful spot to grab lunch and drinks. I will be returning for happy hour: half off báhn mi and appetizers. Everything we ordered enjoyed immensely. The portions are much larger than we anticipated (example A: huge spring rolls). Ginger chili-oil dumpling were delightful as was the Redfish Fried Rice. Regretfully, I was too full for dessert but the eclairs and croissants were calling my name as I left...
google avatar

Stewart L.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to me so I was very eager to try it. The place was busy on a Sunday mid-day which was encouraging. But the grilled shrimp bun I ordered was a disaster. The grilled shrimp looked beautiful but were too salty. The fish sauce was even saltier to make the combination of the two nearly inedible. The vermicelli was brittle - was it suiting around since the day before or what? I might have buried it in sriracha and downed it but - wait for it - no sriracha due to a national chile pepper shortage. Go to the French quarter and get some hot sauce! Instead I was offered more fish sauce (not) or hoisin sauce. I thought the hoisin sauce might make the vermicelli edible but it too was over salted. The staff were nice and the service was fine but it was a big disappointment.

Yelp
Go for the atmosphere, and the cocktails and the dumplings. Skip the main courses and go directly to the desert of the sorbet Sundae, just amazing! For your main course go to pho tau bay, TD seafood and pho house or dong phuong bakery.
google avatar

Winston K.

Yelp
First of all, Simone needs a raise. Second of all, we had such a lovely dinner at Elizabeth Street. The ambiance was immaculate. The food was amazing. The drinks were so tasty and the SERVICE WAS TOP NOTCH. Our group of 6 was treated so nicely and had a beautiful dinner.

Patricia G.

Yelp
Lovely place- great location. However very expensive. I ordered a fried rice with fish. it was a very small portion and over priced.
google avatar

Jacob S.

Yelp
First off... the outdoor sitting environment with the lights could not be a more perfect date night spot! The drinks were very refreshing and could tell they were done right. The food on the other hand just didn't match with the perfect vibe. The Singapore noodles and spring rolls lacked a bit on the flavor side with the redeeming grilled pork banh mi being pretty solid. Great place to get drinks. Food not too extravagant.
google avatar

Tad D.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place. The entire complex was recently renovated and the execution was amazing. It's beautiful. A nice cafe was a key piece, and New Orleans has some of the best Vietnamese food. But I left without a feeling of satisfaction. I commented to my better half that it's the best gourmet Vietnamese food, but that's not necessarily what Vietnamese food is about. The entire place has a Tom Brown / Tom Ford / Todd Snyder / Brooklyn / Austin vibe and it would be a smash hit there. But this is New Orleans and Vietnamese food, and such is best in a non-curated environment with someone's Vietnamese grandparents making food from a recipe in their head. There's a lot of soul there, just like crawfish is best boiled near a garage. Also, never ever tell patrons that everything on the menu is good. That's what they do at TGI Friday's in Minnesota. Have some recommendations ready for us!
google avatar

Derek D.

Yelp
This is a charming little joint outside the Hotel St. Vincent. It could be easy to miss the unassuming spot because it's nestled into the parking lot, but totally worth it. The Vietnamese menu hits the spot. I got the tofu banh mi, which was a perfect portion to fill me up. One of my friends got a noodle bowl, and I was astonished at how big the serving was. Didn't keep him from finishing, though. I wish I would have gotten some pictures of the food and the space, but hopefully I'll be back at some point, maybe during the day for better lighting, and can remedy that. The service was also phenomenal.
google avatar

Alize A.

Yelp
Pretty space, solid service. Food was SUPER mid. Not bad...but damn near everything was a miss. Cocktails were good. Recommend for appetizers and drinks, go somewhere else for a full meal.

Darryl T.

Yelp
This place is a cute little restaurant/coffee shop inside the history building of New Orleans, me and my friend are impressed with the decorations and now just talk about the food. First, we were order dumplings and fired egg rolls for appetizer but unfortunately the egg rolls were out , it kind of unacceptable for a Vietnamese restaurant. So we order the broiled escargot and this dishes really save the day , so yummy and tasty and surprisingly delicious, i had eating escargot at Irene, cafe Degas so I were expecting something will be the same quality but this one absolutely amazing The entrees are pork banh mi for my friend, and the Banh Cuon for me, the item got my eye because I were born and raised in Vietnam so I'm kind of excited about that, however it turn out to be not really what I am expecting. The Banh Cuon should be thin but the chef was making it like a rolls rice flour crepe cake , not the way Vietnamese make it in traditional style, the meat should be ground pork stir fried with dried mushrooms mixed well not the grilled pork for banh mi or vermicelli. Another thing will be the fish sauce was salty, in Vietnamese cooking style we will add some sugar and lime juice together. But it were my first time dining there and I'm enjoying the view , the atmosphere and the location. However, if they're choosing Vietnamese cuisine in an upscale restaurant so I think they know there will be a lot Vietnamese guest will come here and try it so I hope they're listening to the customer and see how they feel about the receipt

Richard B.

Yelp
The food was delicious. BEWARE they charge for every soda refill. The menu did NOT state that information. The waitress did not share as I ordered a 2nd and third refill. The drinks were $3.50 each so I spent over $10 for soda. The food is a little expensive for lunch ($25) but the food was excellent and worth it. Had I been told they charged for refills I probably still would have ordered but not had sticker shock when I got the bill. They really should have it printed on the menu or at least have the wait staff inform the customers. It sure took away from what was a great experience before getting the bill.

Hsiang-Chi H.

Yelp
Nice eating environment. Like their style! The food is more like a fusion Vietnamese. Love their breads Banmi/poboy. Also the Singapore noodle is really spicy even in the least the lighted level!
google avatar

Mely M.

Yelp
This place is wonderful. Don't question the spring rolls, dumplings, coffee, or pastries. Cute and convenient. One of my favorites in the neighborhood. Staff is also great. So happy ESC came to New Orleans!!!

Benedict I.

Yelp
Pretty small outfit with most seating outdoors I believe but the food is really good. The service is reall good and helpful as well

Brittney B.

Yelp
Excellent bahn mi, great service, we went for brunch and it was surprisingly lovely! Flavorful and bright.

Abi E.

Yelp
Everything is fresh. Everything is just so good. Great barrista but they also serve cocktails - best of both worlds. They have an efficient and friendly team - must try this place whether you're craving Asian, great coffee or flavorful food.

Jay S.

Yelp
Have you been to the Caribbean? Have you ever been to Vietnam? Have you ever been to France? Well BAM...this charming cafe takes you all over the world and back. Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic cocktails, fantastic wine, cool outdoor vibe. Everything is good. All is good. God is great.

Gary S.

Yelp
We ordered the Singapore street noodles and they were as dry as the desert. We have been to Singapore and these noodles represent nothing you can get in Singapore. The Dan Dan noodles were like a bowl of red grease. The Vietnamese ice coffee was overpriced. This meal was around $60 which is way too expensive. We had bad food previously so we gave it a second chance which was a mistake. If you want authentic Vietnamese food go to the Westbank.
