"If you’re looking for the ultimate vegan tasting menu (and one of the cheaper options), head to Elizabeth’s. The small downtown restaurant has tables covered in every fork, knife, spoon, and glass you can imagine (a whirlwind for those of us who skipped our time with Emily Post). Jazz and neosoul music play in the dining room that’s dimly lit by candle sconces hung between gold-framed paintings reminiscent of Goya and Renior. The $110 menu rotates seasonally, but expect dishes like the fiery kale chips that you’ll want to snack on all night and some of our favorite caviar in the city—which is actually drops of algae served with a delicious cashew crème fraiche." - Tristiaña Hinton

I recently worked with Elizabeth for a last-minute intimate dinner for 40 people celebrating a milestone occasion. The plant-based menu was exquisite, the service was flawless, and the ambiance was perfect. They made the celebration unforgettable—highly recommend! Elizabeth worked with us last minute, helped us figure out last minute touches to make it more memorable and her staff were great. The food was delicious and we cannot wait to come back. Thank you Elizabeth for helping make this happen!

I attended a small wedding at Elizabeth’s, who worked with the couple to put together a ceremony and reception with a very quick turnaround and endless grace. The food was delicious and the venue was beautiful of course, but the staff is absolutely worth 5 stars alone. Elizabeth herself was there and was so kind and professional. Emma, Spencer, Erica, Bailey, and Jared were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the best service I’ve received in the city- absolutely made everyone’s night wonderful!

We just hosted my husband's 80th birthday celebration here and we could not be more happy with the experience. Our guests raved about the setting, food, drinks, and exceptional service of the entire staff. If you need a really special place to host an event, go no farther than here. And for custom events, she does non-vegetarian as well. Elizabeth is a dream to work with in the planning cycle. She was open to our ideas and was so helpful in navigating our event.

Incredible experience -- hosted a friends/family anniversary celebration for me and my partner there, and everyone was smitten with the physical venue as well as the food. The tasting menu was perfect -- each course built on the previous one, such that guests were oohing and ahhing louder with each meal. And the space is truly special -- we had a table for 20 set-up in the main dining room and the decor was amazing. As my partner and I joked afterward, the real star of the party was Elizabeth and her wonderful staff, culinary delights, and ambiance. We are extremely grateful that we decided to work with them for our special day...

Amazing food and a wonderful non-alcoholic drink pairing. I will definitely be back next time I visit DC!

The food was pretty good as was the decor, but the prices were ridiculously high. With tip, four people dining, it averaged $150 a head. For that cost, I could have bought the whole vegetable stand, stand ncluded.

Not sure if it's always been a full tasting menu with no a la carte options or if that's a Covid development, but it made a dining experience worth $150 cost over $300. There are plenty of very nice restaurants in DC. This place has priced itself out of the market.
