Elk Grove Fine Arts Center

New location, bright, charming space. Art and jewelry are very nicely displayed. Bought a beautiful necklace and was tempted by many of the art pieces. I just need more walls...

The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center has a local charm that was more impactful than my visits to big museums like the Guggenheim & the Met. Mr. Gonzalez, one of the artists, was very kind in showing and explaining the artwork on display. You can tell how passionate he is about the arts based on the way he presented the gallery. December is a great month to visit as the Christmas artwork can be seen along with other well made pieces spanning mixed media.

Stacy Maeda is the best! What a great place to receive art lessons. It's a safe and friendly environment. Our daughter's (9 & 12) are improving at a rapid pace. I think we've stumbled on the best instructor in all of Elk Grove. Thank you!

Elk Grove Fine Arts Center's mission is to connect with local artists, and art lovers in the Elk Grove area, and Greater Sacramento Area. The center has a beautiful gallery open to the public, monthly shows, art competitions, classes, and much more!

They do display real fine arts of excellent artists, nice friendly staff. The place is cozy and full of arts to enjoy, big and small. What I noticed during art competitions is: staff associated with the art center participates in the competitions, also the patrons. In doing this, it doesn't feel right nor fair that most of the staff and patrons won an award for their art pieces. I wish they would set a day for themselves to show off their talents separate from the competitions. Better yet, have their own competition participated by just the staff and patrons. Hope this review does not discourage the art center, but encourage them to do better, there is always room for improvement.

Fantastic professional paintings and sculpture at this co-operative art gallery. They have jewelry and cards with small prints of paintings for sale at reasonable prices. Local artists from around the Sacramento county area and near by counties show their art work as part of the community along with the members. Joy of Watercolor will be the Featured Artist show for January 2015 with the students from their watercolor classes taught by Sandy Ridley. Art Reception will be on the 3rd of January 2015 from 4 PM to 7 PM at 9080 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624. Event is free of charge with refreshments and musical entertainment. Paintings will range from $100 to $300 or more usually sized 16 inches by 20 inches matted and framed. There will also be original watercolor paintings matted (without frame) for $40 located in canvas racks. Sandy will also have 100's of cards with envelopes with a gloss photograph size 4 inches by 6 inches on these cards for $3 each or 4 for $10. PROS - Wonderful art work with different styles from many different artists. Most prices are reasonable. This is co-operative and helps support the community awareness of professional art as well as offer art classes and workshops. CON - Small store with parking within 100 yards. Hard location to find, unless you use your GPS or are familiar with the location.
