"This Happy Valley coffee house and bakery also offers English high tea, one that is particularly popular with younger clientele and families. Owner Christine Richards worked in London tea houses and hotels before opening Elka Bee’s, so high tea is serious business here. Tea service comes with either a selection of tea sandwiches or salads, plus scones with clotted cream, shortbread, and a selection of desserts; high tea is $45 for those 10 and older, but under $19 for kids under 10. Adults can also add mimosas to their tea service, if they so choose. High tea is served Thursdays through Sundays and reservations must be made 24 hours in advance." - Janey Wong

Good food and excellent pastries. Gluten free options were limited, but they were so good I didn't mind. The pistachio tiramisu was delightful.

Google
Cozy pastry shop with coffee and great food! The pastry chef studied in Europe, and it shows! Lots of places to sit and comfy couches for meeting for a bit to eat or a sweet treat. And yes, they had gluten free bread and dedicated desserts. I recommend the Chocolate Mousse!

Google
Met a friend for breakfast this morning. The case of amazing, elegant desserts looked so beautiful. I managed to pass it by but here's a picture for you. This is a comfortable welcoming and really well run place, perfect for breakfast or lunch.

Google
Elka Bee scones are delicious! Look at that beautiful latte! Great place for a leisurely visit with a dear friend over a light breakfast. They also have hot breakfast choices, my friend's breakfast burrito was HUGE! Very sweet staff, I'm a fan!

Google
Fantastic coffee. The bakery is amazing. Plus I got their corn beef plate. My wife and I really enjoyed our food and welcoming experience. Thank you!

Google
Cute spot with a nice vibe, but not the best choice for families. You order at the counter and they bring your food and utensils to the table. There wasn’t much of a wait when we arrived, which was nice. Drinks (besides water) are ordered at the counter, and water is self-serve. The biggest downside for us was the lack of kid-friendly options. I got waffles for my kids but was disappointed with the portion size and what it came with—definitely not worth the price. Overall, the menu is limited, the food feels overpriced, and while the atmosphere is decent, we won’t be coming back.

Amazing customer service, beautiful work, and delicious cake! Such wonderful people! Thank you for my son’s cake! He loved it. Silviya is such a sweetheart.

Google
This place is a hidden gem. Amazing brunch, fresh European style pastries, gorgeous cakes, the best scones in the Pacific Northwest! High Tea Service is a unique experience and will surely leave a lasting impression. Elka Bee's is a cherished neighborhood institution!

Yelp
Bestest biscuits and gravy! (This coming from someone who is ridiculously picky when it comes to that particular food.) Seriously, the food was incredible. The menu looks amazing. I'll be back to try everything!! AND, they're the sweetest people. Took such good care of me. I'll be back!

Andrea P.

Yelp
Who knew this cute little hidden gem was in a strip mall in Clackamas?!? Excellent coffee and the pastry looked amazing. Breakfast sandwiches were the bomb! Cute European style cafe with comfy seating. Staff were super friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a quick breakfast on great latte in Clackamas, this is your place!

Andrew A.

Yelp
Great overall vibe and menu selection. Some good seating options and looks like there's a back room for larger events. At first glance the prices are shockingly high. However, the portion is very generous. The fried rice on special - which easily feeds two - was very good. Bacon fatty pieces make a difference. Staff is cool.

Daniel A.

Yelp
Cozy spot to sit, eat and work. I was in the area and needed some fuel for the day. Asked for recommendations from the worker and she was very nice and recommended the Ella Bee's Breakfast Waffle with has bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese all inside the waffle. Savory indeed! To wash it all down went with the Honey Bee Latte. There are couches, chairs or benches to sit on depending on your preference. Most seem to be working while enjoying a good cup of joe. There's a little electric fireplace if you need to warm up. Order at the front, sit and enjoy.

Mia H.

Yelp
Truly a gem! I've always driven by this spot but never tried it as there wasn't necessarily anything alluring to me from their exterior. However, after craving a nice American brunch one day (and not having many options in Happy Valley), I decided to check it out. Located in a plaza, there's plenty of parking. However! This cafe can get very busy, so there might not be a spot! The interior is much bigger than I expected, with so much seating. The decor is really fun and there are multiple themes going on. Ambiance is lively and a great way to start your morning. Walking in, you're greeted with so many baked goodies in a glass and a big food & drink menu. This establishment is an "order at the counter and your food will be brought to you" kind of spot. The baristas and cashier are super sweet, busy, and will offer great suggestions! My boyfriend and I got the Farmhouse Croissant Sandwich & Chorizo and Hash Brown and both were so delicious. The croissant sandwich was packed with lots of veggies and the croissant itself was buttery and light. And, the chorizo hash brown was a huge portion, protein-filled, and hearty. Definitely did not expect the amazing food as much as I did, and I would love to come back!

Yelp
Service was great and the food was something I can't wait to return for. Really enjoyed the setting and the surrounding , felt like home. The Eggs Benedicts were the best I've ever tasted.

Ciarra L.

Yelp
Food- I've had a few breakfast items and they're always fresh and amazing. Service- the service is pretty good. It's usually busy in the mornings but between the front and back staff they're quick to get things out. Coffee is quick as well. Ambiance- they did a remodel and the size is twice as big with added tables and couches for dining. Also the desserts and baked goods I feel change. Last week we came in 8/12 and the items were different. But they're always amazing.

Dexter S.

Yelp
I believe it is a family own place. The food is so Tammy and always warm, sometimes coffee is not super hot and taste a little burn but over I would always recommend this place for brunch. Great design and atmosphere inside, service always excellent...!

Connie A.

Yelp
Delicious food desserts and coffee! Remodel is nice. I find a different dessert every time to love! Coffees are delicious! The food is on the pricey side.

Ann N.

Yelp
it's always super busy here but we managed to find a spot in the back. i usually come here to study but i've never bought food. i like how they have a very large selection of items. i have never had a stuffed waffle so i was intrigued by the elka bees waffle. it wasn't too bad but there was a specific sausage in it that had this flavor that threw me off i also got a latte (not pictured) and i felt bad because i was super tired so i forgot to mention that i wanted it iced but the worker was nice about it. staff interactions were great. our server was super nice and checked up on us periodically. i don't think anything about the food stood out but i just like the general vibe of this place. their drink menu is pretty creative and i haven't tried their pastries but they look good too. i would probably try their food again just because i enjoy this place.

Jay M.

Yelp
Very quaint café. Lots of tables and couches for spreading out for conversation or just to sit eat and do some work. Great selection of pastries and bakery.. have now come a few times, and the blueberry peach scone at 7 o'clock in the morning is fresh, hot and so good. Also have had their bagel sandwich and pumpkin scone.. next time I come back to Oregon, I will absolutely find this place. It's not far from my office and definitely worth a drive to give it a try.. they've also got a great selection of coffee. The staff are great friendly, and remembered my name on the way out. Good service.

Vic C.

Yelp
Great spot for a breakfast or lunch sandwich! Great coffee, ice teas, and pastries! Dine in for a cool atmosphere inside or outside. Elka Bee's also does delicious take out!

Leslie ..

Yelp
Great staff and delicious food. The Portuguese fried rice is amazing and generous in portion.

Joann L.

Yelp
SOO GOOD! I went after a morning tennis rally with friends so I was starving. This was a month ago, so I can't fully remember whether it was cause I was starving or if I the food was just super good... maybe both haha. Service was great and quick! Very nice environment! I got the ABC scramble and it was amazing. Pretty big portion, but I was able to finish it (probably cause I was STARVING lol!!). I really liked the potatoes. I also got a white mocha and I enjoyed it, but nothing out of the ordinary :). 5/5 great breakfast!

Rob O.

Yelp
Very cozy and nice atmosphere. Friendly servers. Good choice of egg dishes. I had a nicely cooked scrambled egg with spinach and cheese, bacon and potatoes. Get there early on Saturday enough before 9:30AM or you can expect the line to be long.

Ryan M.

Yelp
Great food, beverages, and atmosphere! Very friendly and accommodating staff! Love this place!

Julie B.

Yelp
What cute ambiance! Counter orders delivered to your choice of diner tables, couches, fireside nooks, or an adult-only tea room!! I'm so glad I found this place while looking for a "fill-up" after fasting bloodwork. The breakfast was homemade (in contrast to reheated breakfast sandwiches). I look forward to returning!

Gloria T.

Yelp
A full service cafe with desserts, pastries and sandwiches. It's a large, well lit place with plenty of seats. It's part of an outdoor strip mall with parking. Service is good. A cozy, feminine ambience with sofas and chairs.

Krissy E.

Yelp
Love, LOve, LOVE this adorable coffee/tea shop! Such a calming and delicious oasis amongst too many chain shops. Food is always AMAZING-- as are the beverages. Not sure what's up with the grumps who complain-- but there is always a hater! Try it, you'll adore it!

Jessie P.

Yelp
The tea service was unimpressive. Our server was nice and attentive, but there quality was meh. Nice variety of teas, but not top shelf brands. Most of the treats were from a package, unfortunately. I liked the scones, though. The dining room is cheerful and cozy, and I think I'd be happier with a regular breakfast from here.

Wendy F.

Yelp
Surprisingly fun ambiance for a strip mall cafe, but the food is very overpriced and the service is consistently mediocre. (And no cafe anywhere should charge more for a cup of tea than for a cup of coffee.) They need to add prices to the case food, as others have mentioned. It's elitist and makes people anxious. Been in 5 times with various groups. Woman who took my order today was unpleasant to me and rude to the customer behind me. I ordered egg dishes for 3 people and specified over easy on the first. Forgot to specify on the other 2 and she didn't ask, just put scrambled down. Really? I'd think she'd at least default to over easy since that's what I just ordered. Scrambled eggs arrived cold, and I didn't get the third egg order at all - had to ask for it when I was asking them to reheat the scrambled ones.

Carly C.

Yelp
Beautiful place for brunch. Food is very good, tea too. They don't have a lot of tea options but u can choose something for you. Everything is clean and fast.

Scott S.

Yelp
Meh. Pricey and somewhat odd setup for brunch service. We ordered at the counter and found a table where it says that you need to clean up and bus after yourself when you sit down. Fair enough. They give you a number and they say they'll bring your food to you. But lo and behold nobody told us we had to go back up there to the counter to get our drinks ourselves and that they will bring you your own silverware when they bring you the food. It's a very odd arrangement - the food was decent - portions average but the price is high. It's a nice spot and I'm sure I'll try it again for coffee or pastries but probably won't come back for brunch or lunch. There are other better options.

Kris H.

Yelp
Friendly service, well paced. Food was good and paired nicely with the tea offering. The menu had several good options and was reasonably priced

Erin L.

Yelp
I really like this cute coffee shop in Clackamas. They have a good breakfast, lunch & coffee menu plus pastries/dessert. I really enjoy just the simple pancake breakfast with bacon & eggs. The prices are a little high, but the food is good and the portions are plenty. I need to go back and try the lunch!

Ilsa S.

Yelp
This is a darling place but the prices seem extremely high for food that is good, but not worth the price.

Sarah G.

Yelp
Love the coffee and the esthetics of the shop!! It's a place to take some one and just catch up on life

Joe G.

Yelp
What a quaint, pretty breakfast and brunch restaurant with delicious food! There's a lot to like about this place, from the charming decor and spacious interior and exterior seating to the savory food and delicious coffee. I got the Farmhouse Croissant with pesto, egg whites, avodaco, and a side of fruit, which is pretty good, but my dad's Chorizo Hashbrown was the best meal at the table. That has a bit of a kick and flavor. I also got the dirty Chai, and it's not too sweet, which is good, and it's also pretty tasty. We're definitely coming back here for another meal.

Randy J.

Yelp
Ella Bee missed the target. Hi tea is supposed to be a fancy elegant affair served on fine China with an elegant server. On our visit the china was cafeteria style and the server was wearing a sweatshirt. It is no wonder that we were the only ones there on a Friday. If the price has been $30 per person as quoted on the phone, another star might've been in order for the food. But at $40 per person, this basic tea was way over-priced. The back room that the tea is held in leaves a lot to be desired. One piece of art was stapled to the wall and the dangling wires from the light fixtures really looked gaudy. If you really want the high tea experience it is better to try a different venue.

Marianne St. G.

Yelp
My first impression as I walked in for the first time today was CUTE! It has a friendly coffee shop ambiance that beckoned me to a sofa, to plush chairs, and even benches in a nook with a fireplace. Unlike some places, all of the chairs look comfy. They have a great sugar free syrup selection and serve Longbottton coffee. I got a sugar free white mocha and it was good! I got a spicy Mediterranean scramble, added some bacon, and it came out promptly and hot. I like this joint!

Melannie S.

Yelp
I have been here a couple times. The coffee is good and the food is delicious. The service is quick and very nice. I don't try to come here often though because the portions are so small for the price. A small breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread (so tiny if you have ever seen gf bread) and a drip coffee is $18. $18 would be bad if the sandwich was more than 5 bites and felt like more than a snack.

Briana M.

Yelp
This is such a cuuuute coffee spot. Me & my husband came around 9 am and there was plenty of people already. There's so much to look at inside and plenty of seating. When you walk in there's a glass cabinet full of baked goods. The menu is huge and extensive. They gave non-dairy and sugar free options for coffee. I had the sugar free vanilla soy latte with a bagel. Both came out super quick. I would definitely return & recommend this place.

Ariana S.

Yelp
Great ambience and food!! Loved this place, I wish there were more locations. They had great coffee and yummy bakery items.

Eero K.

Yelp
I always enjoy my drinks from here! My friends always like their breakfast sandwiches- I don't eat pork or eggs so I can't speak on that. I enjoyed the vegan sandwich, but it is a little lacking for being $15/$16.

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Albies has wonderful baked goods and coffee and breakfast. There's something for everyone the atmosphere is fun and comfortable love going here with my daughter and husband.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Elkabees Coffee and Bakery is absolutely charming, I have been a loyal customer for many years! I chose to come and put in my Google review here simply because I want to share the joy this place brings me. Every time I visit I get the most comforting feeling. Always very clean and the bathrooms are kept up and have great hand soaps! Let me tell you this place is also packed on a daily basis! Sometimes weekends it's hard to get a table but we'll worth the wait! That in itself should tell you how great it really is.The food is mindfully crafted to perfection and I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance. Chefs kiss to their pastries and coffee too! They even have a tea room if you're feeling like being pampered! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu!! GO VISIT

Greg B.

Yelp
Friendly staff and clean and great atmosphere. Their food is always good and prepared with quality ingredients.

Tom C.

Yelp
The food was mediocre at best and very overpriced. Portions were small. I won't be going back

Tracie S.

Yelp
I just moved into town. This was the first place I had breakfast and I have been a repeat offender over the last 6 weeks. The staff are so nice. They often have a line, but they have a wonderful flow to keep the customers moving. Their coffee is great. My personal favorite is honey lavender latte. Every drink I have tried has been well made. Hopefully I can start chipping at the teas soon. It is really hard to not order the HLL. Baked goods: the scones are fabulous. Large, perfect balance of flavor, moisture and dense biscuit. I will be comparing every scone to these for the rest of my life. They have an entire case of treats. I have seen new things every time I have come in. (Did I mention I have frequented???) Now onto the menu. It wonderful. It is made hot to order and very quick. If you would like savory the farmer's croissant sandwich I would highly recommend. The lemon curd french toast is a show stopper. I may have to update this as I try new foods.

Roman K.

Yelp
Great cafe but their displays of baked goods need prices. Never know how much you gonna pay.

Eman S.

Yelp
Visited Elka bees today for the first time! What a lovely and wonderful feel. Their food is on the expensive side, but not as expensive as other cafes. The European fried rice was delicious, and the honey bee latte was Yummy. The service was great as well. Will definitely be back.

David K D.

Yelp
Good place to hang out for coffee or tea. Pastries are usually good too. Food is lacking mostly a coffee shop.

Joshua M.

Yelp
Felt overcrowded, too many tables for the space. LONG line to order without clear indication of which way to snake around tables and where to crowd in. (no points deducted due to the line). Most aggravating, at a place that has signs requesting you bus your own table, the standard tip choices were 15, 18, 20%! How about $1 or something, if I am doing the server's job I am certainly not tipping fine dining tip rates! Overall prices were very high for what we got. Food itself was okay but portions were miniature (I got a sausage egg bagel, it was a LINK sausage sliced in half on top of 1-1.5 eggs on a bagel for about $12-$13--I can't remember exactly---not a bargain for sure!!) Ordered a diet Pepsi and was given one that was 2 months expired (which would taste awful, fortunately I checked). Took it back and they rummaged around for a while before giving me a warm one, which of course meant putting it on ice (which I had to also ask and wait for), resulting in diluted soda. Overall I don't intend to return.

Kal C.

Yelp
A gem. This was one of my first date locations right before the COVID shut down. They've completely redone the seating arrangements since then. There are various seating options now, including cozy couches and a sweet little nook near the fireplace. The decor is super cute, and the furniture is comfy. The food and drinks are just as perfect as the look and feel inside. Highly recommend any drink with lavender. My one complaint is the parking situation. Worst lot ever, especially on weekends. If you have multiple parties meeting here - don't. Carpool.

Kyle C.

Yelp
*chefs kiss* The waffle is very fluffy with a crispy edge. The fruit is extremely fresh and not super sweet. The whipped cream is homemade with vanilla flavoring so that you don't have to have syrup and it's very creamy. The vanilla latte is very refreshing and not too sweet; enough to get the dopamine flowing your body to accomplish anything you put your mind to. The over all ambience is relaxing and cheerful! The staff is so helpful and very friendly. 10/10 would recommend

Emma L.

Yelp
Very disappointed and will never go here agian, customer service is very unwelcoming and specially a guy that works their does not have patience when u order and rushes u. I ordered a honey latte and it was absolutely nasty and disgusting. It was so watered down and takes like milk with water and super sweet when I asked for it to not be very sweet. I also asked for a breakfast sandwich and said no eggs and they still put eggs. Their menu is absolutely awful, everything has eggs. They need to make the menu more inclusive and create some breakfast sandwiches without eggs because everything has eggs and when u ask for no eggs they still put them in. Also their menus is so expensive. I got a latte and breakfast sandwich and it was 24 dollars. Completely not worth for the quality and taste. Would not recommend so dont come here unless u want ur morning ruined :(

Lorine C.

Yelp
The food wasn't anything to write home about. And the prices are even worse.... So I don't recommend

Leslie R.

Yelp
The everyday breakfast is wonderful. The pastries are always good. And High Tea was fun, great little sandwiches, and various teas that even my kids enjoyed.

Lara R.

Yelp
It's really cute here! Very cozy. You order at the counter and they bring it out to your table to your number, or if you order to go they call your name out. The food is decent, but their desserts and drinks are where it's at. The chai is the best!

A H.

Yelp
Their $16.50 salad had old lettuce and old deli meat chicken. I was expecting something better for the price. Good coffee but stay away from the salads.
