Our party of 9 had the best experience at Ella & Ollie’s. Service was quick and the staff worked as a team to make our time enjoyable. We ordered bread and ricotta, Brussels, and the grit balls. They were superb. We had a variety of food ordered from the burger to the special, shrimp, short ribs and ribeye. Everyone left satisfied and stated that this was our favorite restaurant out of the 6 we had on the island this week.

I followed a foodie recommendation from Food Network’s Kardea Brown and visited Ella & Ollie's for my final supper on Edisto Island. If you’re looking for a nice dinner in an upscale environment, this is the spot for you. It is off the beaten path, located within The Plantation Course at Edisto. Incredible menu!! Ella & Ollie’s uses local fresh seafood, as well seasonal produce for their dishes so the menu changes frequently based on the current season and availability. I started out with the Marsh Hen Mill Grit Puppies as an appetizer. Marsh Hen Mill’s grits are milled right here on Edisto Island, so again… very local. 😊 These grit puppies had the best crispy sensation when I bit into them. These are packed with so much flavor from the smoked cheddar and andouille sausage. The pepper jelly added a sweet touch, providing amazing balance of flavors. I was amazed with how creamy the grits were too. Sooo delicious! Then, I went with the Edisto Shrimp Cakes because I’ve never seen that offered on a menu before. Edisto Seafood shrimp (notice the local trend? 😋), preserve lemon and butter pea perloo, citrus butter, and a green tomato chow chow. Unbelievable! 🤤 And, the presentation blew me away. Such a gorgeous dish and it is as yummy as it looks. I made sure to sample my cousin’s BBQ Shrimp as well because they were featured in Southern Living. The sauce is quite unique and is definitely what makes this a solid dish and the shrimp…sooooo tender. It’s easy to see why this is Kardea’s favorite dish. Nothing is better than fresh shrimp. Ellie & Ollie’s is top notch all the way around. Melissa and the staff took wonderful care of us. So hospitable and friendly! Such an incredible dining experience. 11/10 amazing!

AMAZING food!!! Best place to eat in Edisto Island, HANDS DOWN! We loved it so much that we went twice on our trip. Definitely do not miss out on this spectacular restaurant. I had the E&O Salad (house salad), and it was AMAZING. I had the special of the day both times I went - first time was a mild fish called Wahu, and it was amazing, and the second time was a mild fish called Grouper, and it was out of this world. Several of my family members got the Lamb pizza and it was amazing. Also, the service there is amazing. The first time we went it was on a weekday, and it was very quiet and romantic. The second time was on a Saturday, and it was much more crowded, and a few tables was noisy, but we still had an amazing time. I 1000% recommend this place!!

Our first night on Edisto Island Beach we had dinner at Ella & Ollie's. From the time we walked in we were greet by the host. A very pleasant older gentalman. Our server Chris was awesome, even though he was busy with other tables we never felt neglected. In two months we have visited four Wyndham properties and there restaurants. This one is hands down the best restaurant. We highly recommend this place for dinner. Supporting local eatery's and you will never be disappointed.

Google
Great food! Really different! Loved our waiter whose wife is a chef and pitched in during COVID, when his day job is a landscaper. Hats off to you. Hard to find. Have to go in the Wyndham entrance. Be aware that GPS takes you to a dead end street. Go all the way around to get to the gate. Worth finding. Not cool to be told we should tip the kitchen staff. You should pay them what they are worth and not make the patrons tip them. Not classy at all.

Ella and Ollie's hosted a very special event for us earlier this month. I had several special requests for the event including bringing in entertainment and a video presentation for guests that would be arriving from across the country. Every request was generously granted and the event could not have turned out better. The owners and all of the staff were 100% focused on our guests and their enjoyment. And the food, oh my gosh! Our guest's are still Raving! I am forever grateful to Katherine, Paula and their very professional staff for making our event an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience for our guests. I can't wait to get back to E&Os to enjoy their hospitality once again!

Google
Tayler was absolutely AMAZING! She was one of the nicest and most accommodating people we met during our stay. As a group of bartenders her mixology skills are top notch and can’t be compared to any other bartender in the area! I would come back just for her service!

Google
The atmosphere is wonderful, prices are reasonable considering prices of chain restaurants and service was great! A bit of a wait for food but it came out perfectly portioned and tasted fresh to order. My husband and i will be returning again soon! ps this was an anniversary dinner for the two of us 😊😊😊 Edit (3 years later) Still a good establishment! The food is excellent, wait staff is wonderful, service impeccable. Yes it is still pricey but it is worth it! You can't get any better. I see people complaining about "how long it takes to get food" but do you really want microwave food from other chain restaurants? These people take their time to grill and cook the food. Also the comments about gnats and flies outside on the outside deck area, what do you expect, you are outside its nature if you can't handle it take yourself inside. If you still don't like the inside take yourself to a lower quality restaurant and have nasty food. Great job Ella and Ollies keep up the great work! Definitely will return again you guys do not disappoint!

Yelp
So we returned for dinner...and it seemed their menu changed once again! I thought they went more toward seafood? Anyway, we ordered the following: Marsh Hen Mill Grit Puppies for appetizer to share, BBQ Shrimp for my husband, Beer Can Chicken for my son, and I tried this special of the day, Crab Toast (forgot the full, fancy name). For drinks, I tried their Peach Bellini, and liked it. Well, I really enjoyed the Grit Puppies...and only wished there were more of it. Also loved the tasty Crab Toast...but wished there were better veggie sides with it. Guess I'm not a big fan of Arugula? My boys seemed to enjoy their foods too. As always, the thing that stops me from dropping all 5 stars is their dull, lackluster ambiance. For starters, I wish they had better wallpaper. It's very basic casual...with this Beige on Beige decor, with some bad artwork. Also, their chairs were un-cushioned, and just not comfortable. Even the overhead music was just not right. It was on so low that all it managed to achieve was to give us mumbled background noise. I really feel that if the ambiance was more upscaled and/or more inviting, I'd like the place more. I just don't get why they can't upgrade their ambiance to match their foods. With the foods, it's a hit or miss (at least for me)...depending on what you order. Guess I just expect more with some of its pricing, but still, the foods are solid...and in a way, it's the finest foods on Edisto Island.

Yelp
Unfortunately the restaurant was having a staff issue. While the staff that was available were very friendly and helpful, they simply did not have enough people. Customers were getting their own drinks from the bar and needed items. The food was good but pricy for the serving size.

Jim M.

Yelp
Food was usually good they are closed now. Last time we went there was a giant rat running through the restaurant without a care in the world. Manager approached us as we were leaving and said we have been trying to catch that rat for days. What? If there is one....well you know.

Jodie B.

Yelp
Little pricey. Recently my husband orders braised short ribs. Notice how I used the plural for ribs. That's important because what he received was 1 short rib!! For a while it was our go to place to grab a drink and dinner at the bar. Wish they would bring back some of their great items like flat bread pizza and Thai wings Service is hit or miss @ E&O. The bartender is okay if you can get her attention. Couple of the servers are great and attentive while others are normally always overwhelmed and forgetful

Yelp
TLDR; this was a really disappointing meal for the 4 of us and I would not recommend. Ooof. We just left dinner here and had some of the worst service we've ever had. Four of us sat down and ordered drinks, multiple apps, and soups, so we were spending money immediately. You would think that would incentivize our waitress a little. we were missing a soup and the bread never came. We had to ask for a spoon for the soup that did come out. We asked about the bread we ordered twice and even after we said "never mind" because our entrees had come out and we still didn't have it, it still had ended up on the bill. Same with the soup that I was going to just get that she somehow "couldn't take off the bill" after telling me I could have it because it was so late. My mom asked for a spoon and after 10 minutes seeing our waitress come in and out of the dining room, my dad walked over to the waitress station and got it himself. Our waitress walked past him WHILE HE WAS GRABBING THE SPOON and didn't notice or say anything. She still never showed up with a spoon! The food was okay but the menu descriptions vs. what showed up were not the same. The NOLA BBQ shrimp was a cream base which is pretty uncommon, but it was tasty. The braised pork shoulder was breaded which was unexpected. Grits were ok. The tomato pie was well seasoned but very watery and not a tomato pie you'd expect if you're from NY and have ever had tomato pie. We showed up after a few margaritas, ready to enjoy dinner out on vacation, and it was so bad it killed the mood for us.

Yelp
Price of cocktails were outrageous , 3 cocktails almost 90 dollars. Robbery! We will avoid the bar all together. Food was mediocre and service slow we probably will not return.

Yelp
Dinner here was absolutely phenomenal! We came in the middle of December around 5:30, and didn't need a reservation. Our waiter was very attentive to us and kept our glasses full. Food: We got 2 appetizers, the table bread and the Nashville hot quail. The table bread was nothing special, and for $7 a little overpriced, would skip next time. The Nashville hot quail was so yummy! It came with 3 decently sized pieces. Very good, would reorder. For entrees I got the meatloaf and instead of the collards I got the rosemary tater tot's. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were delicious. Every bite was an absolute experience. The tater tots were good, but nothing too special and unique. My husband got the short rib and oh my it was so tender! It just easily came apart with just a fork. The mushrooms and broccoli that came with it were so tender and had the delicious sauce on it. Very good. The food also came out very quick (although it wasn't very busy at the time). This restaurant far exceeded our expectations, very delicious!

Yelp
The server was awesome, the meal was delicious and the crème brûlée was the best. We would go back again

Yelp
Arrived for a 7:30 reservation and was seated at 7:45. It took a solid 10 minutes for the waitress to come over. We ordered a bottle of wine upon seeing the crowd and noticing immediately they were short on staff. The wine arrived 40 minutes after our dinner reservation, where we saw it sitting g at the bar. We ordered a dozen oysters that were average at best. Ordered the chowder which was tomato based. It was fairly good. Then ordered the wahoo special, filet medium rare and collards. We ordered a 2nd bottle of white wine that came to the table room temperature. The fish dish came out 5 minutes before the filet. The fish was so dry you had to use a knife to cut it. The filet was cold and rare. The collards were cold. The wait staff was overwhelmed. $300 later (after they removed the wahoo and collards from the bill), we left to go home to chill our white wine and eat chips and buffalo dip from Food Lion. I felt horrible for our waitress who was doing the best she could, but couldn't keep up with the patrons, the lack of quality of the food and lack of staff. The worst dining experience I have ever had on the Island.

Greg K.

Yelp
Ordered takeout and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Arrived 30 minutes later, paid, tipped, and was told my order wasn't ready yet. No biggie, sat down and waited. Watched them mess up another customers takeout order and finally get it corrected. Waited some more, noticed one to-go bag had yet to be retrieved. Another customer comes in to pick up takeout, employee hands them the lone bag. Customer digs through the contents, confirms it's wrong. Turns out, it was my order! They had no idea it was ready when I paid, no idea when they let another customer dig though my food. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
Very nice meal on the island. This was probably one of the best meals we had in Edisto. The apps we had were the she-crab soup, bbq shrimp, and grit balls. They were all good but the bbq shrimp was the best! The sauce was amazing! The entrees we had were The filet, shrimp and grits, short ribs, fried chicken and the Italian pizza. They were all good but the shrimp and grits and the sides accompanying the dishes were highlights. The collard greens, dirty rice and rabe with mushrooms were just delightful! For dessert we had the apple crisp, chocolate lava cake and cream brûlée. They were All good but the brûlée had a partially burnt crust. The wine list was awesome and we selected a wonderful Pinot noir for dinner. They also had a mystery beer special that was very good. We will go back next time we visit the island.

Yelp
The main waiter was great, however the "newbie" brought my soup & asked if I need a spoon

Yelp
By far the nicest restaurant on Edisto - cloth napkins, full staff, reservation highly suggested, but also casual. For our last meal on Edisto, we decided to hit up the nicest spot. Located within the Wyndham Ocean Ridge (the company buying up all the property and converting them into mass produced condos and rentals), you drive past the rentals, to the shared parking lot with the golf course and walk up to the large building with outdoor seating, but we wanted indoors. The host will take you to either the banquet or main room, the main room featuring the bar, with some tvs playing sports. We were initially sat at a high thorough fair table, but quickly asked to be moved to the window seat that was open, which made for a better experience. What is also really nice about Ella & Ollie's is their seasonal changing menu - right now listed are items that weren't there when we went, so I had to pull up the photos to remember what we got. We started with two appetizers - a seasonal pizza and the goat cheese tart. -Clam Pie - the seasonal pizza at the time, a white sauce pizza with fresh mozzarella, arugula, olive oil, garlic, and of course clams. This was really tasty, and we had to hold our selves to not inhale it. -Goat Cheese Tart - basically a savory cheesecake. With cherry chutney, greens, and crostini, a great little snack before the mains. For mains, we each went our own ways. My sister got the Edisto Seafood Shrimp and Grits (which she pretty much got at every restaurant), my father got the Oyster Skillet, and my mom the Braised Short Ribs. While there were a few options on the menu I wanted, I waited to hear about the specials and got that: -Grilled Wahoo over Risotto - I wanted seafood on my last meal, but something a bit healthier after all the fried food leading up to it. The grilled wahoo was a dense, meaty fish that went well with the risotto. We had to get dessert as well and our waitress convinced us on two: -Cheesecake with Oreo Crush - She pointed out a lot of people are confused by the Oreo crust rather than graham cracker, and it was fine. But it was completely overshadowed by... -Charleston Chewy - their version of the blondie, served a la mode. It was fantastic - dense but moist, full of flavor. We inhaled this. Our waitress was great, sadly have forgotten her name at this point, but she was working a large section, kept us up to speed with our order, checked in, and made sure we were covered. Also took the family shot. I can highly recommend Ella & Ollie's if looking for something a bit nicer, but still casual.

Sarah S.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The restaurant was very busy. However it took a long time for us to place our order. Any order. Our drink order, food order. When the food arrived it was great. But again the waiter although nice, was MIA. We thought about dessert but while waiting for boxes we decided against it. We were tired of waiting. I would try them again. Maybe it was an off evening. It just made everything less nice.

Nora R.

Yelp
Sat at the bar as reservations were fully booked. The bartender provided excellent service and made a delicious lemon drop martini. The food was good - recommend the smashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts - delicious!

Faith K.

Yelp
We were very underwhelmed with our dining experience. The place was recommended but failed to meet our expectations. We started with the artichoke appetizer which was salty. I had the she crab soup which was really uneventful. The shrimp cakes were missing something. I added some Tabasco to help it out. One friend had the Thai special but the mussels were served cold so it went bake. The replacement was good though. Another friend had the sticky wings and said they were just okay. The service was okay as the server returned way too quickly asking if we were ready to order. Overall, it's not some place I'd consider returning to. High priced mediocre food.

Meg R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed our dinner at Ella and Ollie's. We were staying within walking distance of the restaurant, so we decided to make early Saturday night reservations. The restaurant features more upscale food on Edisto, but it still has that laid back island feel to it. Our waitress told us they just changed their menu last week, and we liked the options of both food and drinks! They have a nice assortment of wines by the bottle and by the glass. I got a glass of Cabernet while my husband had the E&O Manhattan. Both very good! We shared the grit puppies to start, which are generously proportioned fried grit balls. Yum! I decided to order a few small plates for my dinner, and I really enjoyed the beef carpaccio appetizer as well as the she crab soup. Our table also shared the rosemary tots, which were delicious. My husband and his mom both enjoyed their meals (the oyster skillet and shrimp cakes). Overall, our meal was pleasant and a great mix of food and drinks. There are so many yummy small plates to share, and there were other entrees that I'd like to try next time we're in the area. The restaurant was super crowded when we left, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand. Definitely check out Ella and Ollie's if you're in the mood for a more upscale dining experience on Edisto with yummy cocktails and a laid back atmosphere to boot!

Sue Z.

Yelp
Excellent food and very nice service. BBQ shrimp was delicious! Owner was helpful and waitress was attentive.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed the vibe of this place. Our food was good, but needed more heat. We found ourselves eating the she crab soup quickly because we didn't want it to be handled again. It was the same with crab cakes. Savannah was a great hostess and our bartender Abby made the best cocktails. We had a fantastic time and we will return.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
16 September 2023 had dinner at Ellie and Ollie's. Called to inquire about reservations and was told we could come right over. We were aware that services in the south often take place at a slower pace but we seriously began to question what was going on. A large party with kids near our table were served long after we arrived. It was clear that the kids were hungry and bored. We were greeted and server disappeared. We were ready to order when he returned but he wanted to take drink orders. We placed our order eventually. The shareable tomato pie came out and the person delivering it said the server identified the wrong table. (Our side was not super busy.). There was no spoon or serving utensil. We made do. The food we received was very good. Chopped salad, shrimp cakes, braised beef and she crab soup. We enjoyed it but it came around 08:30 pm. Had to ask for spoons for soup (available at a cabinet 10 ft from our table). We kept waiting for bill and boxes and considered ordering dessert but frankly we were afraid we would be another 1/2 hour or more. With a very large bill (more than 180.00 for 4), we were still charged a service fee of nearly 6 dollars for using a credit card. Food was very good but we did not understand the poor service and long wait. We would have understood being short handed but it did not appear to be the case.

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Loved the vibe and the food was good, especially the grit cakes and fried Brussels. Unfortunately service was horrrrrible. Our waiter clearly was taking care of many tables so I'll give him a bit of a break on that. It took 30 mins to get drinks to our table. He never brought water in a cup with a lid for my son even though we asked 2-3 times. Thankfully I had a spare cup in my bag had to pour him some from my own water. He delivered the wrong order for my son's meal and it took another 30 mins and asking about it 2 times to get the correct meal. Not great for an impatient toddler. After ordering our entrees, it took over an hour for our food to be delivered to our table. We had to ask for spoons for the soups we ordered. Everything just took forever. My husband ordered a beer when our entrees arrived, then reminded the server about 20 mins later, and then finally 20 mins later when we were ready for the check we had to tell him to just remove that beer from the check because it still hadn't arrived to our table. There was an extra soup in our check that we had to ask to be removed. Also want to add that our reservation was at 5:30 so before the restaurant was even terribly crowded. It was a bummer to feel like we spent the whole time waiting on something.

Yelp
We came here earlier this year...I had read so many wonderful reviews that I'm wondering if I hyped it up in my mind. The food was good but not excellent and for the price tag, I would have thought it'd be amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly, but the spinach was a little blah and the potatoes could have used more bleu cheese. I must compliment whoever writes their menu, they make everything sound delicious. Unexpectedly, my very favorite dinner item was the Chocolate Cake Stout I had with my meal. It was so good I googled the brewery when I got home. I also need to compliment the interior decorator...I took a picture of the light fixtures made out of oyster shells...SO PRETTY! This place really was beautiful and I would recommend it, I just think my expectations were a little high.

Yelp
Went here last year on law school spring break and had a great time. This year, much different. We're a group of 25 year old female law students and two male students and from the start weren't taken very seriously. Our waitress took all of our IDs because she "couldn't read the dates well" except coincidentally did not ID one of the only two males at our table. At the end of the dinner, the bartender laughed and told my friend that they thought we were all underage, so I assume our IDs were taken for further inspection and not because she couldn't see well. The drinks were a disaster. Half of the drinks were incorrect. One of us ordered a blackberry margarita and the bartender said she wanted to "make it fun" and bring it in a martini glass (to which she poured back into a normal glass and found out that she only got maybe 1/4 of a margarita - picture attached). Service was very slow and inattentive. The food was decent, but the service really changed our perspective from last year (when we had great service) so we probably will not be back.

Rebecca G.

Yelp
The food was wonderful. The server was excellent. W thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Would highly recommend! Definitely the best food in Edisto.

Hunter D.

Yelp
The shrimp and grits had onions and portobello mushrooms in the sauce really complimented the shrimp. The portion was small but that could have been because of the large party I was apart of. My girlfriend got the filet mignon. It was over cooked, dry, and tough. The price tag should have given us a center cut of the filet strip. Not an end piece with tough grain and garlic butter to cover up the burnt mistake. The Grit puppies were amazing! Full of flavor and 3 per an order. Worth every penny. The bread and cheese tray was also delectable! Whole grain and flavored with olive oil and a cheese spread that was amazing. The goat cheese app is a solid pass for me however.

Yelp
Don't bother driving into Charleston the food here it is above and beyond spectacular

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Food was not as described. Wait staff was nice but I'd say they need to work on flavor. Won't be back. Potatoes were cold . Just a super dissatisfied experience.

Yelp
Awesome menu great staff always fun ! Look forward to next meal !! I'm a New Yorker , so I know pizza and theirs is right on bar.

Yelp
Ella and Ollie's lived up to our expectations. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was amazing!

Yelp
Fantastic food!!! Teresa was our waitress and saved the night as it took a long time to get seated and started with our orders (had reservations at 8pm). Teresa was very kind, helpful, and fun! Ask for her when you visit!!! -Shrimp crab cakes 15/10 By far the best dish I've had in Edisto. Just do it. I prefer it over a crab cake it was that good. The lemon and citrus butters on the rice along with the chow chow pulled the dish together so perfectly. It's plenty of food - I couldn't finish the whole thing and we didn't have apps. -22oz ribeye 8/10 My husband got this entree and ate the entire thing. I had a bite and it was cooked perfectly (ordered medium rare)! It came with a stuffed tomato. Charleston chewy desert was the best in my opinion out of our table's choices. Our friends ordered the shrimp and grits and burger and also said they enjoyed their meal a lot.

Yelp
Hands down the highest quality restaurant on the Island. They take typical Southern food and elevate it just a bit with local ingredients and a flair for the unusual, without sacrificing familiar comfort. I've been for both lunch and dinner and was impressed both times. They alter their menu seasonally, depending on what ingredients are available, so you can come back every season and have a totally different experience every time. On my most recent visit, I went with my mom. We started with an order of the grits bites, and oh boy these were definite winners. They were nice and crispy outside, but creamy and cheesy inside. I opted for the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was lightly battered, and it tasted like there might be cinnamon or something in the batter, which sounds weird, but was actually really tasty! My mom got the burger, and it was delicious. Just the right amount of greasy and cheesy and decadent without making you feel like you need to nap afterward. The only thing we weren't super impressed with was the coleslaw, which was bitter and not great. All in all, a welcome addition to the Edisto culinary scene!

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary with a lovely take out dinner from Ella and Ollies, organized by Katherine. I want to start by thanking Katherine and her team for organizing and making this delicious meal, also for continuing to stay open through this madness. The food was delicious and the service was great too. For appetizers, we started with hush puppies and she shell crab soup. The hush puppies was one of the best I've ever had. It was perfect and the soup was really good too. For our entrees we shared the Shrimp & Grits and Braised Short Ribs. The Fresh Edisto Shrimp & Grits was so good. They paired it with andouille sausages in an amazing sauce. It's been 2 days and we're still talking about how perfect it was. The portion was very generous! The Braised Short Rib with sweet mashed potatoes and asparagus was amazing. The short rib was amazing quality and cooked to perfection. It was tender and delicious. The sides and 2 sauces were super fresh and delicious also. I've dedicated the past several years to only ordering short rib whenever we go out, and the short rib from Ella and Ollies was comparable to some of the best I've ever had in San Francisco and New York City. For dessert we shared the brownies and key lime pie. The brownies came with a Dulce De Leche sauce on the side and it was amazing. The key lime pie was perfectly zesty with a chocolate pie crust. This was overall the best meal we've had in a really long time. Ella and Ollies was so generous and easy to work with. We can't wait to order take out from there again soon, and hopefully get to dine there this summer when this quarantine is over with.

Yelp
Excellent service! Thank you, Lonnie. Best meal we have had on our vacation! Wish we lived closer. Highly recommend this exceptional restaurant.

Yelp
We made a 6:45 reservation and got there early. Good news, the evening started off great. Off to our table. We ordered a bunch of beers. I had a sour beer my favorite from Charleston. I gave it a 9. My daughter who is of drinking age ordered the mystery beer. For 2.50, she got a blood orange IPA, 7% not too shabby. The wife got a kolsch which was good and the son in law got poke the beer or bear ( I don't know) but it was also good. We started with table bread for 6 dollars, who charges for bread? It was just ok. The wife and I shared the goat cheese tart. It was very good. The daughter enjoyed E&O salad (so did I). I liked the short ribs, my wife enjoyed the pork chop and my son in law loved the beer can chicken. The tie went with my daughter who chose the beer can for the sides. We were so full and we still ordered a to go dessert. A chewy cake yum. Lonnie our server was good. We would ask for him again. Overall my daughter said it's the best meal we've ever gone out to dinner for in all her years of life.

Yelp
I am speechless. The place is an all around stellar restaurant. My brother and sister in law introduced the rest of the family to this hidden jem for a birthday celebration. I do recommend reservations if going on a popular night. It seems like the restaurant is rebounding nicely from a horrible year. We had a party of 8. When we initially arrived our table wasn't ready, but we didn't wait to terribly long, about thirty minutes, and during that time I got to see deer roam freely on a golf course. It was a site. Once our table was ready we were sat and given bread and waters. I pause to say the server took great care of our table and I am greatly appreciative of that. We can be demanding bunch . I had a amazing pizza that tasted like it was straight from Italy. The Dessert was phenomenal. I got a single scoop of vanilla bean ice cream that surpassed any ice cream I have ever had. Please go try this spot if you happen to be in the area.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! The short rib was cooked to perfection and my mom said the shrimp and grits was divine. A must stop when in Edisto!

Yelp
We wanted to eat here, but the person at the greeting desk did not greet us kindly. He even argued with a customer that came up. The menu looked delicious though.

Yelp
The shrimp and grits and the shrimp cakes were amazing! The best meal of our visit. I highly recommend!

Yelp
First! Abby was amazeballs! Terrific service! Friendly! Had 22oz rib eye, bone in. Crusty smashed taters. Beef filet. Both were wonderful. Started with the grit hushpuppy things. Not what I expected but SO GOOD!!! Got the toffee cookie ice cream dessert. Bread pudding as well. For the two of us we did good. Took all leftovers home so we will redo the steaks over a caesar salad. And eat the rest of desserts! Oh, get the bread plate. No details cuz that would spoil it!! So recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Great upscale beach atmosphere but you can totally rock a pair of khaki shorts and nice tee-shirt. Great bourbon selection and a good old fashioned. The whipped ricotta that comes with the bread is amazing. And the shrimp cake meal is rich and creamy but light at the same time.

Yelp
Ella and Ollie's is the restaurant at the Wyndham on Edisto. This is fine dining in a relaxing atmosphere. Their prices are just a little above the other restaurants on the island. Make sure you check their days and hours since much has changed during Covid.

Yelp
Loved the food. We were a big group and ordered several dishes. I highly recommend the spinach salad, flounder fish, lamb sausage pizza and crepe brûlée. Greetings to the chef and the entire staff!!

Yelp
A hidden gem on the island. It's tucked away but definitely worth it. I always get the oyster skillet and it's to die for. Last time I went we got the wagyu beef carpaccio as an appetizer and it was phenomenal. The drinks are always on point too. It's got a laid back vibe to it and the staff are always friendly.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Better than what we got in Charleston! The braised ribs were the best I've eaten.

Yelp
We arrived with a reservation and we're seated immediately. Nice greeting with immediate service. The music was slightly too loud but acceptable. Water was served in a prompt manner and the waitress arrived soon after. A large selection of drinks were available and delivered soon after ordering. The six of us ordered appetizers, family sides and entrees. The kitchen was quite speedy and everyone was pleased with the many choices. We will be returning soon as we enjoyed our evening at Ella & Ollie's.

Yelp
Clemson fans just so you know ...Their food is good but the owners are very arrogant Carolina fans who gave a snarky reply when my wife asked them to add a Clemson flag to the front of the restaurant since a gamecock flag was there. When the owner snarked "you can bring your own and use it as a tablecloth" that was when they no longer existed for us. Just stupid business sense.

Yelp
Even though the food was delicious there was a long piece of hair in my food. The server took the dish away and was told this would be taken off the bill (no joke). I was not offered any other dish nor got anything else comped (like dessert). Even though the kitchen had closed I thought they would have provided me something more that not charging me for the dish with the hair in it. Server was apologetic but it makes for a bad experience. Would not expect this from a high end restaurant.
