I am editing my original review about not being open the times I want to stop in because they are now open for taco dinners on Thursday and Friday nights. The lunch was good the first time we went, but the dinner was awesome! We ordered one of everything (pretty limited menu) and none of them disappointed! They had traditional tacos with unique flavors for each - you can't go wrong. If I had to choose one food item, I would hands down get the habanero chicken wings. Will be back weekly now that we discovered the dinner menu! Just to add to the small diner experience, the owner came out and shook our hands asking how everything was. We chatted for a while. Extremely down to earth and cared about our feedback and service. Top notch.

This place was just good.... food on point indeed. I had a chicken pita after about 10 minutes trying to decide. It was actually really really good. Fresh and healthy. A lot of cops and recruits eat here so it's crowded around lunch. Plus the kids from whitney young high school visits. I now see why the name pig is associated with police. This one recruit (uniform, but no badge or gun) ate next to me, finished them beautifully cooked wings (I really wanted to ask for one) any waste he devoured them and left some of his trash there, just not cool at all. No need for that..So hopefully the police can police themselves.

If I were to describe this place in two words it would be drunk food. That's all it is, but the atmosphere makes it all better. Once I was there on an extremely cold day, and when it was closing time the lady at the cashier offered me free hot chocolate to survive the cold. The newer staff I tend to see now fight a bit, but it's entertaining.

I ate at Ella's so much while I was going to school nearby. Service is a bit sassy and can sometimes take a little while but the prices seem fair to me and the chicken strips are delish. A bit short on seating, take-out or come not at lunch time. Good!

Ellla’s new weekend taco nights is a flavorful feast that won’t disappoint except for not having it more often. The tacos are small, but full of a mixture of mouth watering flavors. I never knew a vegetarian taco would be my favorite. They also do a good job on orders with food allergies. The appetizers and sides are tasty too. Ellas has exceptional service, friendly staff that will assist you in ordering plus it’s A+ clean location. It’s tucked in the corner of Throop and Jackson in the West Loop where you’ll meet up with a diverse and friendly neighborhood crowd. Take it to go or eat outside on their small patio. Taco Thursday!

Best food is the breakfast and the lunch is pretty good too. Some things like the fries have changed since last year though because of a renovation and don’t taste as good but overall great restaurant choice.

Dark skin girl in back is very rude and shoild not be in restaurant buisness if she dknt know how it works. I shouldn't have to wait 10 mins for hotdog and fries and when i asked aboit order the rude girl said that shes busy and i have to just wait. I didnt appreciate that and then to be told shes the manager. Going to lose u lots of good customers, smh.
