Elle Interiors did a major remodel of our dining room, kitchen, family room, laundry room, guest bath, master bedroom and bath. . Elle listened to our concerns and came up with design options that solved those concerns. The transformation flows so well and fits our family’s needs. We will definitely choose Elle Interiors for any future projects!

Such a wonderful experience working with Elle Interiors! The team was so friendly and made my wife and me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. We started with painting the exterior of our home, and it turned out beautifully. I’m really looking forward to working with them again on our bathroom project. Highly recommend!

Edit for reply to the owner: Elle, not a single person from your office called to see how the project turned out, no final QC checks, nothing. I get the PR move is to argue with the customer over reviews I guess but your company failed. I will gladly share a myriad of pictures, emails, videos, etc for anyone who wants to doubt that, I have nothing to hide. --- We hired Elle Interiors for a full kitchen remodel with design, project management, and installation oversight. We paid for their team’s expertise so we wouldn’t have to comb through technical drawings or manufacturer specs ourselves. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by a series of issues, many of which could have been prevented with proper planning and attention to detail. A few of the most notable examples: The original design didn’t allow the refrigerator door to open properly. This required last-minute cabinet modifications and overnight new hardware after the cabinets were already installed. Cabinets were installed sloppily. Screws were overtightened and cracked the wood (photo 2), adjustable shelf holes were misused to join cabinet boxes (photo 3), and the result was a loss of shelf adjustability. When we raised concerns, they were dismissed. Cabinets were eventually replaced after multiple calls. Cabinets were installed ½” too high (photo 4) despite being told shimming was necessary due to an unlevel floor, which turned out not to be the case. All cabinets and panels were off by ¾” due to a missed spec, which caused the fridge and freezer panels to “float” above the floor (photo 5). This also caused visible gaps that had to be filled with trim, breaking the seamless design. The fridge/freezer enclosure and above cabinet were made ½” too wide. Despite repeated clarification, the new upper cabinet door was still too wide. A new one was ordered, but the wood grain ran sideways (photo 11). This is the same cabinet company that sent six warped doors originally. Island cabinets were installed unlevel (photos 6 & 7). The custom hood was built too long and had to be rebuilt, delaying the project. Countertops were incorrectly ordered with a “stacked edge” (photo 8), requiring replacement. During demolition of the incorrect counters, our freezer panel was cut (photo 9) and had to be reordered. The sink base cabinet was damaged from over-cutting during install (photo 10), causing further delays. To Elle’s credit, they did reorder several items at their expense, which we appreciated. However, we hired an outside contractor to install them—we couldn’t risk another round of poor craftsmanship. Communication was a consistent challenge. We frequently had to repeat ourselves, chase down answers, and intervene when work didn’t align with plans. Demo began in Dec 2024. It’s now Sept 2025, and the project is only now wrapping up—not due to changing scope, but due to repeated errors and miscommunication. The final frustration came when we were asked to take responsibility for any damage if Elle’s team attempted to fix a design oversight they caused. We understand no project is perfect, but we hired Elle to avoid exactly these kinds of issues. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this firm.

I represented Elle in the purchase of a duplex and then watched her completely reimagine the interiors. She turned an ordinary property into a stunning, livable space that feels both stylish and welcoming. Elle has the vision to see what can be and the talent to bring it to life. Highly recommend Elle Interiors!

I am so very pleased with Elle Interiors! Travis did and amazing job designing all my bathrooms - everything from tile flooring, counter tops, shower tile, shower enclosures, hardware, faucets, etc. He was able to choose colors and samples that not only fit my personality but also updated and freshened up my 20 year old bathrooms. All the sample ensembles he chose for each room fit within my budget. The contractors were always communicative, on time and did a great job. Best of all - it's absolutely beautiful in real life and I get to enjoy it every day. Thank you!

Yelp
We remodeled our kitchen and family room area in Scottsdale, and Elle's team was fantastic. The project moved smoothly and the workmanship of subcontractors that they used was unbeatable. But the best was the design studio and being guided by trained professionals in choosing the right finishes for our home. We couldn't be happier, and I highly recommend them.

Yelp
I am so very pleased with the interior design and work Elle Interior did for me! Travis has an amazing ability to think of ideas that not only fit my personality, but also look fresh and updated. All of the ideas and samples he provided fit within my budget which I appreciated so much. All of their crew was on time and very communicative through every step. They are my "go to" for interior design and work. I highly recommend them!

Yelp
I highly recommend Elle Interiors. Their design team has an amazing ability to transform existing spaces into new, bright, timeless ones by combining colors, materials and textures in a way that creates dramatically improved, unique solutions, while adding tremendous value to a home.

Yelp
I have enjoyed the beautiful results from the expert team at Elle Interiors. I was offered a few choices within my price range and each member I had any interaction with was attentive to helping answer my concerns. Even though other areas of life have been delayed after the period we all experienced a few years ago, I feel glad to know I had a professional team doing their best to bring me the results I had been looking for. Yelp
Agree with first reviewer--not a good experience. Travis is not so organized and sometimes it takes 3 different appointments (or reschedules) to get something done that should have been done the first time/first appointment. His calls and emails aren't returned in a timely manner, either. I have to go through their company website to get a response.

Yelp
I would like to give this company zero stars however, that is not an option hence, the one star. Ellinor is pleasant when you meet her but it doesn't take long to discover that she lacks emotional intelligence and has no empathy for her clients. One example being, when the project was laid out it was decided the upstairs would be completed first then the downstairs. This was to have as little disruption to the family members living downstairs as possible. Ellinor specifically said that the property would need to be vacated for two weeks, three at the max. When the plans were received they showed the downstairs being vacated for four months. When asked about it Ellinor's reply was, "you said you were flexible." This was at the height of the rental shortage and when rent was sky-high. Since their didn't seem to be a choice, we had four adults, two working from home, and four dogs living in a two-bedroom house. It ended up that an Airbnb had to be rented for our teenager while he completed the school year. Most of the work completed on the house was sub-par to what Ellinor promised. In the beginning she and Rand Armstrong, the General Contractor, constantly talked about all their work being above code however, when push came to shove they would say the project met code and implied that was all they were required to do. There are still electrical switches that the electrician installed but could not say what they controlled and a paint job that friends say is the "worst" job they have ever seen. We have kitchen cabinets that costed $25,000 but still do not align, open properly or close properly. Rand informed me that "cabinet installation isn't rocket science." If that's the case, then the cabinets should be perfect. The demolition work started in December 2021 and the project was not completed until May 2023. Some of the delay was due to a leak we experienced however, that was a six-week delay. When the project was first discussed with Ellinor she said the project would take approximately nine months. She will say that delays were due to covid however, delays were also due to lost items (one example, a mirror was ordered and couldn't be found by Ellinor's staff, when it was found they tried to charge a $75. storage fee.), the wrong items being ordered and having to be reordered, contractors not showing up on time or at all and the list goes on. Neighbors informed us that days and sometimes more than a week would go by without anyone showing up to do any work. The icing on the cake was when Ellinor's email was hacked and she didn't know it "because I get so many emails each day that I can't keep track." Because of this hack over $67,000. was lost. Ellinor did nothing to help in trying to recover the funds and when asked about her insurance she simply said that fraud wasn't covered. It took her over a week to make contact after the loss. We started this project with a $250,000 budget but when we received the first budget from Elle Interiors it was over $400,000. We trimmed back and the budget came to $368,435. When talking with Ellinor it seemed she had little interest in trying to cut back on the cost. If anything was cut back it was because we found less expensive items to replace the items that were chosen by Elle Interiors. When all was said and done the project ended up being over budget by $150,000 for a total cost of over $500,000. In addition to the lack of staying within budget, Ellinor seldom came to the property to check on progress. She said that Rand was overseeing the project but she is the owner of the company and should be ultimately responsible for the finished product. So many compromises were made on our part and it is sad that such a large sum of money was spent for what ended up being a very unpleasant and stressful experience. I am sure there are excellent interior design companies available but Elle Interiors is not one of them. Ellinor is aware of everything listed above and more. Below is her reply. Deb, Andrew, Whitney and Phil, We received the check and your note, thank you. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to not have lived up to your expectations. Your project experienced some challenges and we completely understand how frustrating this can be. Our designers, project managers, Jeff and Rand work hard to ensure details are taken care of, that sub-contractors are doing their best work, chasing information, trying to note all conversations that are being had, etc. We always strive to give ongoing information about what to expect in regard to timelines, delays, etc. while keeping a positive outlook. We sincerely apologize that you felt disappointed in the process, as we always strive to maintain the high standard of excellence that we are known for. Yelp
I have worked with several designers and my experience with Elle Interiors has been the best. Ellinor's advice was great and helped me avoid some mistakes. She took what I envisioned and gave me great advice to create what I really wanted but would not have been able to do nearly as well without her advice. I will certainly be working with her and her team again!

Yelp
This is our second time working with Elle Interiors and our first experience working with Travis as designer. We enlisted Travis initially for interior design work only on 3 rooms in our house, but during the initial consultation we learned that Elle also does exterior design work, too, which is something that we'd been needing to look into for a while since we had not updated the exterior since we bought the house nine years ago. Travis took the exterior from looking really shabby to very chic. His creativity is amazing. He listened to what we felt needed to be updated and came back with a plan and specific ideas and options from which we could choose. One of the great things about Elle Interiors is that they coordinate bringing in all of the vendors and construction tradesmen so you don't have to go looking for them on your own. We were very happy with the talent brought in and in particular we really appreciated working with Jeff who did the majority of construction work. We originally thought he was going to be installing siding material for the feature wall and gable ends, but he actually built these items from scratch. Since our house is older, sometimes unexpected issues were found, but Jeff always found a solution, and Travis was always upfront about providing cost estimates for us to review and approve when these types of items came up. During construction and afterwards, many of our neighbors stopped by wanting to know who we'd worked with so that is certainly a testament to how fabulous a job that was done. When it comes time for our next project, we'd most definitely look to Elle Interiors again.

Yelp
We did a complete interior remodel of our home and hired Elle Interiors LLC to design and project mange the remodel for us. We knew after meeting Ellinor, owner of Elle Interiors, that she would be the right person to collaborate on this project. She had great ideas on design and helped bring our vision to life. Ellinor kept her hands on our project throughout and was part of all major design and construction designs. She assigned Travis to be our project manager and he was communicative and responsive throughout the remodel. He was also incredibly helpful with design decisions. Our main carpenter was Jeff, whom installed cabinets in the bathrooms, kitchen, in the living areas, many other projects and his attention to quality came through in all his work with amazing finishes. Juan did all the tile work in the bathroom, kitchen, and wine feature, was a true artist with great attention to every detail and we could not be happier with the outcomes. We are incredibly appreciative of Ellinor's focus on the quality of work and bringing our vision to a finished product that we get to enjoy as a family now that we are completed.

Yelp
I've done many projects with Elle Interiors. The design team is top notch and they have their finger on the pulse of on trend styles. The new furniture lines are a welcome addition and streamline the entire process.

Yelp
The team at Elle Interiors is truly exceptional and receives our highest recommendation. During our comprehensive makeover of a newly purchased home, we have received beautiful design alternatives that fit our unique style preferences and price points, outstanding planning and timely project implementation, constant communication, and exacting standards in all project phases. Under the strong leadership of Ellinor Ellefson, all staff are clearly passionate about their mission and are positively delightful people to partner with. We love the work Elle Interiors has completed and are excited to see our future projects unfold.

Yelp
My experience with Elle Interiors was frustrating, stressful and disappointing. For the record, I have worked with multiple contractors and designers over the years as well as managed some projects myself. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I was told the project would be completed by the end of September. It was completed in mid-December when I took over large portions of managing the work myself. To be fair, there were some good things. The pros were that the designer's initial ideas were fresh and interesting. The staff were very hardworking and pleasant despite having too many projects and too little autonomy. The cons are many, so I will mention them in categories: project management, cost, results and accountability. Project management was abysmal if not completely lacking. I never received an overall project plan with due dates. Tasks only got completed when I repeatedly asked for estimates and asked for each element of work to be scheduled and rescheduled. Project delays were almost entirely due to neglect, not supply issues. For example, even after months of asking, light fixtures and bathroom mirrors were not ordered. To keep the project moving forward, I ended up choosing and purchasing these items myself rather than continuing to wait for a response from the company. Two months into the project I saw the first project spreadsheet. It would have spent the entire budget for about half the work. Because of cost and scheduling frustrations, I ended up having to hire my own subcontractors for the electrical work, the light fixtures, window coverings and carpeting--all work that was completed for less than half of Elle's estimated cost and on the original schedule. Probably the most frustrating part of the project was the lack of accountability. No one took responsibility for the overall contract. When the project stalled, the designers blamed the contractors, the contractors blamed the company, and Elle refused to take responsibility for anything. When I would question the lack of follow-up, Elle asked, "Why do you keep blaming us?" I completely understand supply chain challenges and the difficulty in getting contractors when demand is high. I do not understand when orders are not placed, availability is not checked, and there is no follow-up or oversight. In short, my experience with Elle Interiors barely rates one star. I found Elle to be arrogant and dismissive of my concerns and questions. While there is some good design talent, I would strongly recommend that you not hire this company to manage your project.

H G.

Yelp
I have done multiple projects through the years with Elle Interiors. Master, kids and guest bathrooms completely remodeled, flooring for the entire house as well as color consultation just to mention a few things that Elle with Elle Interiors has touched and with her team has magically transformed our home from mediocre to luxury. Elle has a unique eye for color and space and brings tailored solutions to your specific needs. All work was completed on time and within budget. I would use this company again based on excellent previous experience. I'm actually seeing them next week for my new home :)

Yelp
We had an amazing experience working with Ellinor on a complete renovation of our 3,500 sq. ft home in Phoenix. The end results were sensational and literally took our breath away. We would never have been able to see the potential of what was possible had we tried to do it ourselves. We were advised/involved in all aspects of the transformation. New paint colors, flooring, fabrics, lighting, artwork and furniture choices. Beautifully laid out pages/photographs of all options for the interior were presented to us. When we wanted to downsize to a new home, Ellinor (who also has a contractors license) advised us on the possibilities of what we could do to make this new home our dream home. Based on the pre-purchase visit with Ellinor we in fact purchased our new home of 2,200 sq. ft in Glendale. Our idea for our home was for a light, airy, spacious, soft and Zen-like feel. We have a beautiful white kitchen, hard wood floors, soft cream and/or white window fabrics which I love to watch move in the breeze and furniture in light natural woods throughout. One of Ellinor's expertise is artwork and we love our muted and subtle pieces which would be hard to find in any local stores. We were nervous at times but really appreciated learning to 'trust the process' and move out of our old comfort zone. It has been an amazing all around experience and we have again found ourselves living in a stunning and beautifully put-together home.

Yelp
We hired Elle Interiors to update our newly purchased home. The home had been built in the late 1990's and needed some updates especially in the kitchen and master bathroom. All areas were affected except for two front bedrooms. The work involved whole house paint, tile, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, construction, door hardware, furniture, wall art, rugs, and accessories. The all-in-one aspect offered by Elle Interiors was appealing in our decision to hiring Elle Interiors. They offered interior design and construction management to create our beautiful and functional home. We had interviewed some other companies, but I especially liked the ideas presented by Ellinor. Her ideas have made our home so much more functional and met our needs perfectly. In the beginning, Ellinor and her team helped me identify the look that I wanted. They provided me with choices, but always were there to make sure the design was cohesive. We started the project in 2021 so there were many supply chain issues that came up throughout the project. The Elle Interior team worked the issues quickly and professionally. All communication was handled efficiently and professionally. We worked with a couple designers, at first Morgan and then transitioned to Travis. Each was very easy to work with, highly qualified, and demonstrated excellent customer service. The construction crews were always respectful and easy to work with. Any issues involving workmanship were handled professionally. The project was not finalized until we were completely happy with the results.
