"Ellen’s, the Downtown cafe offering all-day comfort food menus with dishes like meatloaf sandwiches, breakfast enchiladas, and chicken-fried Benedict, is slated to open a new location in East Dallas’ Casa Linda neighborhood later this summer." - Brittanie Shey

"East Dallas will soon have a chic new dining destination in Blush Modern Eatery, a new restaurant with a focus on sophisticated, European-inflected dishes. A website for the restaurant indicates that it will debut at Casa Linda Plaza in the coming months with French chef Laurent Poupart at the helm. Dallasites may remember Poupart from his short-lived restaurant JoJo Eating House and Bar, which shuttered in 2013. Prior to that, Poupart spent time in the kitchens at Michelin-starred restaurants in France and New York, and has also worked as a private chef for celebrities like Cindy Crawford and Kevin Costner, according to his website. Interestingly, Blush’s owners are currently raising funds to complete the project via “house accounts” in addition to seeking traditional investors. These accounts allow diners to essentially pre-pay for up to $10,000 in food at the restaurant. As far as that food is concerned, look forward to dishes like tiger shrimp Catalane, oysters gratin, charcuterie, and grilled Texas quail. The restaurant’s space, designed by Poupart’s business partner and wife Paige Poupart, is very 2019 with its millennial pink accents, marble and glass cocktail tables, and a periwinkle banquette that spans the length of the restaurant’s back wall. Trendy cane-back chairs will offer additional seating, while an outdoor patio will boast live music on the weekends. Eater has reached out to Blush Modern Eatery for more details on its arrival. Stay tuned for an update." - Amy McCarthy

Now I understand why this place was empty when we walked in. The staff was nice and attentive. But the food. Wow the food was just not what you expect from a breakfast place. I promise you get better at IHOP. The huevos rancheros came with lettuce, lettuce?! Yes, lettuce. How do you serve a hot plate of fresh eggs with lettuce? And then the sauce was store bought. You can taste the can. I ordered the biscuits with gravy, OMG what a mistake. The biscuits were flaky and not fresh. They look like the ones from the air tight package at walmart. The flavor and all was store bought. Dont waste your time here just because the pictures are fancy. The only good thing here is the coffee. Plus everything is $12, $14, $17 and up.

We love dining at Ellen's! Comfortable, down-home atmosphere, great service and delicious food! Their brunch and dinner menus are excellent! The chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries, chicken fried steak with asparagus, and Joe's macaroni and cheese are amazing, our go-to dinner choices. Friendly servers who are pleasant and upbeat and a great drink menu. Family friendly. We always feel welcome and valued here. Owner is very kind and runs the place well. Very clean, I appreciate that they take safety seriously. Happy to patronize this restaurant.

Google
Great breakfast spot for the family! I had the Pancake Pot Pie and also tried some French Toast and Joe’s Balls. The Pancake Pot Pie was delicious and everything you’d expect it to be. The special maple syrup was really good with everything. French Toast is an easy default and something you can never go wrong with. Joe’s Balls were a little disappointing. They are these small fried balls and I had the blueberry, pesto, and I think the third one was something like cheese and bacon. My favorite was the cheese and bacon, but the table favorite was the pesto. Try them if you want to but they’re in no way necessary to your meal. Server was very nice but spilled a little coffee when setting it down. Atmosphere feels like you’re at a breakfast place. 4 stars all around! I would definitely come again!

The food was really good. My wife ordered the Benedict and ordered fully poached eggs, they were made perfect. The pancakes were so big and delicious.

Google
Ellen's has a reputation for great food and service and this location doesn't fail to meet the high standards set! Joe's balls are tastier than ever with multiple options to tantalize your taste buds! All day brunch is fantastic and the cocktails are divine.

Google
Trendy, but loud. The restaurant gets very noisey because there is nothing to buffer sounds, so I would not recommend bringing people who are hard of hearing. We arrived about an hour before closing. Unfortunately, they were already out of some menu favorites. The food we ordered was fine. Nothing was outstanding, but the side order of pancakes were definitely above average. The staff was very attentive. The restaurant is attractive. The clientele was a mix of families, couples, and a variety of friends going out for brunch. The restaurant has a beautiful side room for large private parties.

Google
The food is pretty good and flavorful. They have a pretty good variety of options and the service was not super fast but not slow either. The servers been super nice on the 2 occasions I’ve been there. It’s also decently priced for the portion sizes. I have intentions of going back to try other things on the menu.

We had a tasty breakfast at Ellen's! I had the Shrimp and Grits it was tasty! However I like my Shrimp and Grits with more of a cajun sauce, it adds more flavor! It was really good though! So glad they have a Ellens on this side of town! Perfect spot!

Yelp
We arrived for brunch shortly after 11:00 a.m. and there was only about a 5-minute wait and we were quickly seated in a cozy booth. The dining room was bright with tons of natural light pouring in from the windows, I loved the color scheme of the restaurant and the beautiful tiles on the floor. The waitress quickly took our drink orders and the coffee came out piping hot, so perfect for this cold December morning. I ordered the Chilaquiles Verdes, which were one of today's specials and had my eggs prepared over medium and it came topped with skirt steak, Mexican crema and queso fresco and served with a side of refried beans. The beans were deliciously seasoned and the perfect consistency, not too thin and not too thick and also not completely pureed so they had a nice texture to them as well. The skirt steak was just a little tough and could have been marinated in onions to help tenderize it a bit and would have also lended it more flavor. So chilaquiles were perfection, the chips were thick and cut into bite-sized pieces and the salsa verde had the perfect balance of savor and acidity that brought a bright punch to the dish. Paired with the mellowness of the Mexican crema and the queso fresco, each bite was better than the last. Founded in Sandy Hook, CT, Ellen's also contributes a portion of their profits to support the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting and I think that is a beautiful mission that I'm going to continue to support. I can't wait until my next visit!

Yelp
Oh my gosh people, is my world turning? This place never changes, simply the best, the menu is fantastic, try the French Toast and I still swear they squeeze their own orange juice. Such goodness, freshness and with that comes Happinespiness. I've eaten just about the whole menu and I was never disappointed. Always left satisfied, Try the Hevoes Rancheros/ ranch eggs. I find that my favorite. Come by, try this..you just might think your in a different world. Really. Friendly Fast service with a sunshine smile...Nice, relaxing, you might not want to leave.

Nikki J.

Yelp
OMG this food was so good! A friend suggested while we visited Dallas. No wait to be seated on a midweek late morning. Service was ok. Portions were huge. The pancakes fell a little short for me, but they were fluffy and the syrup was good. Everything else -- delicious. Definitely a hip, diner feel.

JC L.

Yelp
Went to the Ellen's located at their second location and found that the service there is the same as the original spot in the historical spot. Food was good, although I should've went with the hotcakes instead of the biscuit, but that was my bad and not on them. Ellen's is Ellen's it's a nice spot, the customers are diverse from all walks of life.

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Clean, Bright, and Spacious Diner. Friendly Service. Robust coffee; mug always filled. It's Sunday, so it took awhile for our order to arrive at our table. As for my Big Ol'Breakfast, only my "Biscuits and Gravy" was hot and delicious. I wasn't happy with the rest of my plate that had already turned cold of "scrambled eggs", "bacon", and "hash brown" when served. Cheers!

Reese R.

Yelp
For appetizers, we tried the Rack Balls. Crab and Cheese ones were our favorites! We ordered the Pancake Pot Pie, 100/10 recommend! The flavor and the stack were impeccable. Definitely a hidden gem if you're hungry!

James C.

Yelp
This place is always fantastic, great service, friendly and fast. The food is always hot and fresh. The ambiance and decor is well thought out.

Jairo A.

Yelp
I usually get the Big 'ol' Breakfast with Pancakes. They used to be my favorite, but I feel like they changed the pancake recipe and it doesn't taste the same anymore. I've given it multiple tries hoping it would taste the same, to no avail. It used to have a rich, fluffy, buttermilk flavor that was spongy and delicious. I decide to try their lunch items. The meatloaf was good. Plus the service is great and so is the environment. Their French Toast is spot on.

Emily W.

Yelp
Ellen's was a great time! A hidden gem for sure. We got the Joe's rack of balls (crab cake ball, breakfast egg ball, and cheese ball). However, the real star of the show was the pancake pot pie. Very filling though. Will be returning soon.

PJ L.

Yelp
Ellen's in the White Rock neighborhood offers a casual, friendly atmosphere with a solid menu of classic comfort food. While the food is good, it doesn't always stand out compared to other local options, but the portions are generous and the service is friendly. It's a nice spot for a relaxed meal, but it might not be a standout choice for those seeking a more elevated dining experience.

Jazzmyn R.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed Ellen's. It the best out to eat home cooked meal I have had in a while. The service was quick and precise. I think I made it within the last 30 minutes so servers were cleaning up. The light colored furniture and big windows give a big bright affect so it just invites good energy. The catfish was crispy and light. The shrimp and grits were the highlight. They were seasoned and the shrimp were not tough. The hash browns could have been crispier but I made due. The French toast was regular. Didn't taste or feel like Texas toast but it was decent. Add this to your list of brunch places to try with a friend.

Jose C.

Yelp
This location in Casa Linda is fairly new so we decided to give it a try.. I went ahead and ordered the big ol' breakfast and I was actually really good. I didn't notice the pancakes were on the fluffier side, but they were also good. I wasn't able to finish my pancakes, but I brought them home. Our server was nice and polite.. I believe we made it here at just the right time as I can see this location getting pretty busy, even though it was raining outside people kept coming in. Overall, everything was really good and we will definitely come back.

Stephen W.

Yelp
I could easily go 1 star but the ambiance is clean and modern, actually attractive, so I bumped it up one star. But the food is not good. We went here for Sunday brunch. There was a bit of a wait but overall not too bad. The wife had the shrimp and grits, which, at $23 was overpriced even if the shrimp had been fresh. But the shrimp were not fresh. There was a strong ammonia smell that emanated from her plate, and each shrimp she ate had a strong ammonia taste. That means that the shrimp were old and should have been discarded. She ate a few but feared getting sick so she did not eat the shrimp and instead I ended up paying $23 for bowl of grits. Luckily she did not get sick that day but a restaurant should not put a customer in that position. I had the blue cheese burger and it was nothing short of abysmal. It was easily one of the worse burgers I have ever eaten. Let me put it this way: if that burger had been my first, I would never eat another burger for the rest of my life. The burger was dry, had no flavor, was overcooked, and did even have lettuce or tomato. I asked for medium and got well done. There were big chunks of bacon fat which I detest. The blue cheese was flavorless. It was just awful and I could not finish it. A complete waste of $14. And I always finish my burger. My Bloody Mary was ok and at $12 priced fairly, and my side cup of chili was actually pretty good, no beans, just meat. Overall, it is hard to imagine what would motivate me to return to this restaurant. It was not an inexpensive brunch and honestly it was a complete waste of money.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch after church yesterday. Food was yummy and the service was great. A cute spot in the casa Linda area and there doesn't seem to be much of a wait before 11am.

Riley S.

Yelp
Okay, I just moved to Dallas this weekend but have been wanting to try this place for their pancake pot pie for MONTHS. Finally got to try it today! The place is super cute. Decorated really well and had the prettiest curtains. Had a great long bench for waiting too, which we did, but was no longer than they estimated it would be. First off, our waiter Jessica was great. When I ordered the pancake pot pie she came back to tell me there was none left. I was so sad because that's the whole reason I came! BUT she came back and told me they were making another one for me and I was pumped. Thanks Jessica! The pancake pot pie was everything I thought it would be and more. For the price, it's pretty huge. I was only able to eat 1/3 of it. It's the perfect mix of salty and sweet. Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the eggs were yummy. The bacon was such a great addition! My brother got the chicken friend chicken. He rated the chicken a 4.5 out of 5 ( he's really picky.). He loved the gravy that came with out. He got French fries and Mac n cheese as his side. He said the French fries were typical, nothing crazy amazing. He didn't love the mac n cheese, said it was more buttery than cheesy, but again, he's picky. We are die hard Kraft Mac n cheese fans so that may be why. Will definitely be back! Try it out if you like breakfast! Or even lunch.

Chelsea O.

Yelp
Waited forever for this place to open. Inside is cute, and seems like they have a lot of seating. It's super loud though... they need some rugs or something to absorb that noise. The bathroom was also a little messy. Service was friendly and quick. Food was on point. I've been to the other location and it lives up to the same hype. Huge portion of the chicken fried chicken which comes with two sides.

Caroline C.

Yelp
What did I just experience? I'm not from here. My friend said this place just opened and she's been to their other location. Okay... fine. Her, myself, and her baby were sat in the bar area in a booth. Perfect! That was the only perfect part of the dining experience. We sit down and it takes a minute but, someone comes and take our drink order... then another person, and another person asked if someone already took our drink order... even after all those people asked, it still took forever for our espresso martinis to come out.. I'm as confused as you right now too. After we get our drinks, we put in an order of pimiento cheese. Good! But.... When we got our check it literally says pimiento cheese and then added $1 for pita chips. WHAT?? I double checked the menu. It says pimiento cheese served WITH toasted pita chips. It's like ordering spinach artichoke dip but, you don't get chips unless you pay $1. It wasn't even a lot of chips compared to the amount of pimiento cheese. See photos for reference. The menu and the dish. The "manager" came over and said "that's how the system rings it in." What?? What type of response is that? My friend ordered the big ol breakfast.... First, the server kept asking her the same question. I wasn't fully paying attention but, I could've told you what she ordered. The food comes out and my friend realizes, it's missing the bacon... she calls the server over and this B looks at her and says "that's how it comes." FOUR sausage Patties! Who eats that many patties?! Again, I go back to reference the menu... my English as a second language a** read it 4 times. It definitely says it comes with bacon and your choice of sausages... so my friend said "just bring me a side of bacon, I want my bacon." The server walks away and the table by us ordered the same thing and she says to them "you want a side of bacon too??" Check this out.... The check comes out and I tell her I want to see how she rung it up. She rung up "no bacon, all sausage." I can't even... I ordered the chili and egg. I typically like chili omelette. This was literally a bowl of chili with 2 eggs on top. I asked for sunny side up and it was medium. I did have to add some salt and a whole lot of hot sauce. I feel like the dish needs some texture or something... Also, I had to beg to get water refill. I was just drinking melted ice at one point. Which I understand is water but, I wanted actual water. Overall, I don't live here but, if I did, I would not come back purely for the service. Both the server and manager sucked. Plus, the food wasn't that great. Sorry, not sorry.

Yelp
Yelp review 8-14-24 Ellen's Cafe - N Buckner location Server Natasha AMBIANCE ~ Lite and bright with half booth, half tables and tables throughout. Restaurant looked and smelled very clean. And their AC works, so bring a jacket and I am not complaining in this hot Texas heat. It was wonderful. SERVICE Shout out for good service! Natasha was helpful, knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great suggestions. The only bummer is we were ordering mimosas and they were out of a lot of the juices, probably because this was a Tuesday and they had a big brunch weekend? Natasha our server was very sweet & was mindful of our conversations. She took care of us without being overbearing, and was accommodating and friendly. The food runners were also prompt and courteous and I appreciated the positive vibe of everyone. I would say also review your ticket very well, we were not given the happy hour discount and I had to go back in and get that fixed. The manager was very accommodating and fix the price and gave me a coupon to use for next time I came in so that was very appreciated for the inconvenience. FOOD/DRINKS Coffee Blood Orange Mimosa Avocado Tacos French Toast The food was on point. The eggs were cooked perfectly! homemade salsa with the avocado tacos was delish. The French toast was divine and the coffee and blood orange mimosa hit the spot definitely on my go to list for brunch and breakfast and lunch. They are open early and close early so get over there and eat. Very happening brunch spot with local regulars. RESTROOMS Clean, nice decor. OVERALL We had a great meal and great service. The restaurant was bright & happy and the food was solid. We felt taken care of and appreciated. If you want a solid brunch/lunch with friends definitely bring them here! Tell them Peggy sent you for extra love!

Yelp
After waiting years for a proper breakfast joint to replace my beloved Barbecs the community gets this sad replacement. If only the traffic and tight parking was worth it as it would be if visiting Johns on lower Greenville Ave, but it's not. Strolled in to the head of the hostess seriously swipping snd surfing her cell phone. No nice greeting just a moderate enthusiasm and no smile. The interior is quite clean and fresh like a cold hospital really but then you see the logo and feel like you're in a cult recruiting center or maybe a California colonic spa. It doesn't communicate food! Coffee was wonderful and served w cream and spoon though I asked for it black, listening or ? Ordered the classic or traditional whatever w sausage after given a choice of patty or link I got both, does it come this way? Why give me a choice then? Does the waiter know the menu? Eggs were perfectly cooked over easy as requested. Rarely done these days. Cook is obviously skilled so why was everything else cold and seemed blanched ready to plate on demand. Hash browns were undercooked too. Cold food is the worst. Good came way too quick to be freshly cooked. Grits were so hot I burned my tongue which admittedly I'm sure the manager must be loving after reading this review. lol. Just the tip it will be fine. I can't see why I'd ever want to go back which is sad since I live in the neighborhood. When you check out you have to answer multiple questions and your hustled to tip far above the common 15%! Crazy. For what? The service is almost non existent and no one knows the menu. What real service could you think to suggest 18-22% as a norm? I love tipping well but when you shove it down our the throats and Have such a mediocre service and product how can you seriously do that to the customer? Then there are more questions and a review? How about a real person come by and ask how things are? Do you not know or understand the 8 steps of service?

Jimmy K.

Yelp
We had a nice brunch here recently. The grilled cheese was great. The burger and fries were tasty and the salad was huge. The Joe's cheesy balls were a great appetizer. There is plenty of seating inside and on the patio. The service was a little slow but they were busy.

Paulette F.

Yelp
My beautiful sister's and gorgeous mom went on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were seated right away. The hostess was really nice and friendly. Our waitress was delightful. She gave us a few suggestions on favorite dishes. We were all first timers. Everything that we selected was devine. I was the only one that had a few bites remaining for leftovers. The food and service were both exceptional. We will return soon.

Hanna M.

Yelp
Food was great for my 1st time, and came out very fast. Service was friendly even the host. Was a clean establishment too.

Kristina B.

Yelp
No gluten-free items so I tried to customize a dish similar to one of the $17 breakfast items on the menu. They charged me for side item portions for each one of the four items and ended up costing $25 for one breakfast and a soda. When I asked Mark the manager if it was correct, he said he'd take a look at it and brought me back a new ticket that was more expensive than the first one. I asked for light oil and the below is the pictures of what I ended up getting. I already decided I wasn't coming back because of how expensive they made my dish, but after trying to dry off the butter, I wasn't able to make it edible. I took it back and got a refund. Because of both of those issues I won't go back.

Jay D.

Yelp
Wonderful brunch spot. Super casual. I had the big breakfast - VERY filling - two eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and french toast with their delicious real maple syrup. My wife had the breakfast tacos. Scrambled eggs topped with melted cheese, accompanied with avocado and flour tortillas. The servers were appropriately attentive. We'll definitely be back!

Steve S.

Yelp
We ate here for brunch this morning, and loved the space and food. Food: we both got the huevos benedict, and it was a near perfect brunch dish with poached eggs and hollandaise perched on top of tamales and pulled pork. Space: new building built specifically for Ellen's, bright and pleasant with sunlight through big windows and nicely chilled in the dead heat of the Dallas summer. Service: adequate, about average for a chain brunch joint Parking: plentiful, and superior to the West End Ellen's, which has parking so bad that we were done going there after our first visit. HIghly recommended, especially if you order the huevos benedict.

Moe K.

Yelp
My first time and we were greeted promptly and seated. It was happy hour so I tried the brunch punch and ordered the Mexican breakfast with a side of French toast. They also honor military discount. I was handling business while there so I couldn't arrest to service but the food was tasty and I will be back.

Ricky B.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday morning. We were quickly seated and service was very prompt. I ordered a breakfast dish and the others in my party ordered sandwiches. The food was good. Easily on par with most good breakfast spots in the area. Companions said burgers and sandwiches were OK. Nice open feel to dining area. Very clean.

Brad U.

Yelp
The decor and atmosphere was clean and inspired. We were seated immediately. The menus were fairly easy to follow. Our waitress was pleasant and patient while we made our dinner selections. Our food seemed to arrive a bit slow for what appeared to be a slow Friday night. I had the pork chop with asparagus and Mac n cheese. The chop was small, a bit dry and hard to cut with a butter knife. The asparagus was ok. The Mac n cheese was ordinary. The cheese grits ok. The poached egg was very firm. The biscuits were tasty, light and baked to perfection. I'm not convinced there were from scratch. The wait staff rushed to and fro seeking to satisfy each request made by their customers. Perhaps our experience was isolated. All of the food being served looked pleasant to the eyes. With some fine tuning in the back perhaps their business will be busier with repeat customers.

Melody T.

Yelp
This was pretty good but I was expecting better. It was awkwardly quiet... suggest some background. I understand working kinks out with staff. This place is new. I'll be back to try breakfast and see where they stand. The food was ok... not seasoned very well. Looking forward to trying out one of the Benedicts and the breakfast enchiladas. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Cheryl S.

Yelp
The food was very good, but entree was a little big for me, so next time I will order something smaller. Service was very good, checking in with me quite often! The atmosphere was very bright and inviting!

Feathers M.

Yelp
An average restaurant. I visited Ellen's around 10 a.m. on a Monday (Labor Day) with another guest and we had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated. I ordered the four pieces of French toast with two over easy eggs and a fruit cup. The guest I was with ordered the two egg breakfast (two over easy eggs, hash browns, French toast) and a side of okra. Both the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus are served all day. The food was tasty but nothing special. Our waitress was a bit aloof throughout our entire dining experience. After our food was delivered by a runner it look her a long time to come check on us. I did not receive the fruit cup initially but even after I asked for it, it look an additional 10-15 minutes to receive it, despite her walking past our table several times. The restaurant was busy, but the server station was by our table and our waitress just stood by it often - not grabbing anything specific or logging onto the computer. Perhaps she was new, but the delay in receiving our food and then later a delay in her checking us out (15 minutes after placing our cards in the table), was inexcusable. I was recommended this restaurant by someone I trust, so maybe staff was just off when I visited.

Kathy B.

Yelp
Yummy Food Nice Drinks Great Service Beautiful Venue Awesome Addition to White Rock East!

Junie B.

Yelp
First time at this location, and everything was great! I always love their shrimp n grits! We came in about 30 minutes before closing time and they were so polite and never made us feel rushed. We looked at the menu on the way and ordered right when we sat down. So glad there's a location on the White Rock side of Dallas.

Staci S.

Yelp
Im so glad we finally have Ellen's in our neighborhood! The food is incredible. The eggs Benedict with the ham steak - prob the best eggs benny I've ever had. It comes with this amazing grapefruit tangy side salad. The portions are fairly large. Small restaurant but we've never had to wait longer than 15 mins. Once the weather is nice we will see what the patio situation is like. Def recommend

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Went to Ellen's for the first time today with a friend and found they're just missing the mark for being a great brunch spot. The first thing that strikes you walking in the door is that you can't hear yourself think, much less the staff taking your name for the waitlist. Tile floors, tile walls, and a high wood ceiling make for a huge echo chamber. They could really use some sound deadening baffles hanging from the ceiling. The back dining area wasn't as bad though. I had the chilaquiles and found it a bit watery from the tomatoes not being drained enough, and the chorizo was barely perceptible. This led to a very mushy and uninspiring meal. I also got the biscuits and gravy which were a HUGE disappointment. I'm not sure if they're trying to be extra-healthy, but the biscuits needed a lot more shortening or butter to make them fluffy rather than dense and bready. And the sausage gravy needed MUCH more sausage and drippings because it came out as nearly a paste. Even the Diet Coke was coming up short. Very little fizz or flavor makes me think their system either needs calibration or there's not enough ice on the chill plate to cool the lines for proper carbonation to occur. The service was great, high marks there. It's not their fault the kitchen let us down. Maybe with some improvements they'll be top-tier, but for right now it's over-priced mid food.

Pierce A.

Yelp
IT IS SO VERY LOUD I CANNOT HEAR MYSELF THINK INSIDE THIS RESTAURANT! The floor is ceramic tile, the walls are ceramic tile, the ceiling is hardwood. Whomever designed the dining room should be subjected to the ear shattering noise that this room generates. The food is good. The experience is unfortunate

Olivia U.

Yelp
Been twice, had great service. Food one time was lacking seasoning and the second time for brunch the egg and chicken fried steak seemed over cooked so they were both on the harder side. Drinks were great both times. I hope the kitchen can get it together.

Mariya K.

Yelp
The food is okay. Their fries are really good. Their bacon egg sandwich is okay a little dry. The bacon isn't how I like but the food isn't bad. My first time there, but I wouldn't mind going back. The service was good. The atmosphere is nice.

C U.

Yelp
Nice weight staff, and a beautiful airy sunny restaurant. All the food is good but the pancakes with the fig syrup is outstanding.

Brooke L.

Yelp
I was super excited that there's more options coming to casa Linda now. There's potential here IF they work out a few kinks. Food was decent. Nothing to brag home about. Hash potatoes were extremely bland. Coffee was terrible. Ambiance was pretty weird and a little awkward. They need some elevator music or something. Staff could be more friendly and alive? TV's were turned off so silence there. I might try them again in a few months. I hope they work it out and make it

Abigail J.

Yelp
Honestly was very disappointed. I had high hopes for this place. First, the restaurant was really busy, so it was loud (not their fault), they sat us down VERY quickly and the waitress was sweet and as quick as she could be. I asked for a cup of coffee ($3) it was not great, tasted like cheap watered down coffee, my family member got a cup of orange juice ($6) and it tasted bad. We both got the big ol'breakfast and that was even more disappointing, eggs were scrambled but not seasoned, bacon was paper thin, and sausage just didn't taste right. The plates were $16 each which was not too bad, but I was expecting a bit more flavor. The place itself is not to bad, great location and great staff, just wasn't big on the food. Also, terrible phone service, which is not their fault, just wish they had some wifi, but that's a whole other story. I would want to try it again, hopefully it's better but this time it just wasn't great.

Yelp
Nice, clean, attractive space. Decent service. Was not feeling very adventurous, so I ordered chili and eggs. It was delicious, but the dish seemed oddly incomplete without a couple of warm tortillas. I asked for some and was told only crackers were available. This seems really weird. I'll go back and try other things. Glad this space finally opened, after sitting vacant for what seemed like years.

Yelp
We had the chicken fried and meat loaf entree it was very bland and tasteless. The side salad had a variety of veggies and slices of strawberry. The mash potatoes were very buttery and bland.

Yelp
So... the ambiance and service were great! Super cute inside and the server was quick and attentive. I ordered the BLTEA for breakfast. While I did eat the whole sandwich, I will say the bottom piece of bread was soggy and the bacon was a bit too salty. I will say the coffee was very good (and strong!) and I loved the fries!!

Yelp
This is the place you go when you're missing the kind of breakfast your dad would put together on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Comprehensive breakfast, the style of which you go back home and take a nap. Extremely fast service, and they apparently like working here. Very comfortable restaurant, amazing that they can have such a huge menu in such a small place.

Yelp
I just loved the food here! Lively companion and I also order 2 double bloody mary's. The respectable way to start your day drinking. Tasty but obviously standard bar shot. So when our bill came for $90., we looked and $40 of that was for our two drinks. As I said, food was delicious and beautifully presented. I will definitely not order drinks here again. I could have bought a bottle of Stoli and made several at home.

Yelp
What a wonderful addition to Casa Linda! Ellen's is a great place for breakfast with several meal options to get the day started. I came in on a Saturday morning at 8:30 and the place was packed. Clean and friendly atmosphere in a nice open area. I ordered the breakfast tacos and will honestly say I was surprised not to see tacos when they arrived, I got a plate with three folded tortillas, eggs sour cream and avocado. The eggs, however, were very good and after making my own tacos, I was really pleased with my breakfast experience. Good food, great friendly people and a clean and pleasant atmosphere- doesn't get better than this.

Yelp
My first and only experience consisted of me walking out hangry. Noone would take our order even after being recognized and greeted. I'm just tired of restaurants who charge so much fpor their food and don't care to even try to impress the guest. Will not return.

Yelp
Food was plain. Nothing special. They got the order incorrect and it took 30 minutes to get green beans out as the replacement. Service was so so. Decor was very nice. Wouldn't go back. Much better places for food.
