Pub serving deli sandwiches in turn-of-the-century building with patio & a live venue downstairs.
"Elliott Street Pub, a beloved sandwich-slinging dive bar in Castleberry Hill, is closing after 15 years following the sale of the circa-1870 building. The building's new owner is NFL quarterback and Atlanta native Cam Newton, who may turn it into a speakeasy bar. The bar, known for its deli-style and pressed sandwiches and dive bar standard cocktails, occupies a 600-square-foot space on the street level of a two-story building." - Beth McKibben
"Open for takeout. Call the restaurant to order. Hours currently limited." - Eater Staff
"The owners of neighboring Elliott Street Pub announced last June they were selling the beloved dive bar, known for its deli-style sandwiches, after 13 years in the neighborhood. Mike Jakob, who owns the bar with his brother, Pete, told Eater at the time they are “ready to move on.” The brothers are asking $3.3 million for the entire property." - Beth McKibben
"The iconic Elliott Street Deli & Pub is officially for sale after 13 years in Castleberry Hill. Known for its deli-style sandwiches like the French dip and hot pressed pastrami paired with cheap drinks and PBR tallboys, the bar is housed in a former 1870s carriage house across from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With walls layered in dollar bills and seating for no more than 30, it attracts a diverse crowd from artists to financiers. The venue includes a three-room inn above and a music venue beneath. Owners Mike and Pete Jakob, former general contractors, purchased the building in 2004 and transformed it into a bar inspired by Milwaukee's neighborhood bars. The brothers are asking $3.3 million for the property and hope the next owner continues its legacy." - Beth McKibben
