Clean and open neighborhood park. Wish the dog park was bigger! And trying to figure out why they cut the tops of the bigger trees…

This is obviously a much older city park. It is midwinter, so nothing is green. It did have some nice activities. Sidewalk was fairly nice for walking. The city needs to put a little more time and effort into maintaining

Great park find! Well kept dog park, place to work out with a friend, nice walking path, volleyball courts, lots of places to sit and enjoy the day including gaming tables, well kept kids park, lots of open spaces, picnic tables with grills, and plenty of trash cans.

The city keeps it pretty clean. The trees have had to be removed over the years, there are a lot less big trees than there used to be. Sand volley ball courts and concrete volley ball courts are pretty popular. Playground is in good condition, and fenced in pretty nicely. Usually a few homeless, sometimes none, none of them have ever spoken to me, I go there a few days a week to exercise, so they're not disruptive. It's summer time and the water fountains aren't on still, I've never tried opening the bathroom. Overall, you can safely take your kids there, or go there yourself. There's a dog park, and a pretty cool place for elderly to exercise. No splash pad. Sidewalks are in pretty good shape. Plenty of tables, seats, bench swings, and shade.

, There is a ton of history with this park in Amarillo, for instance, Franklin D. Roosevelt is the only U.S. President known to have visited Ellwood Park in Amarillo, Texas. On July 11, 1938, he delivered an address to an estimated 175,000 people at the park during his presidency. There is no record of any other president visiting Ellwood I bet you had no idea right?Park. I can not imagine 175,000 people gathered here! It's a crazy cool true historical event for Amarillo!f

Yelp
This is a nice little town park. I don't see a playground for children but there's plenty of room to run around and I do see a tennis court or two. There are public restrooms, plenty of trash cans, both paved and gravel walkways for people who want to walk or jog or bike, occasional benches to sit on if you get tired and it's probably very pretty in summer. When I took my pictures it was February so it was pretty barren. The park is a decent-size taking up a whole city block.
