"eLoong’s handmade dumplings can stand their own in many LA neighborhoods, but they are particularly welcome in Conejo Valley, where options can be sparse. eLoong is the spot to go for those craving xiao long bao or wontons in chili oil. Dumplings aside, there is also a menu of noodles, rice cakes, and buns. The menu is similar to that of a particular international XLB chain, but it certainly will satisfy without the long drive." - Fiona Chandra, Virali_Dave

It was my 1st time. I only bought a noodles to go. The noodles are too simple. So I cannot tell u about their food. I will go back and try other food, and then I can write more. Thanks.

Fantastic food!!! We loved it.

Food is fresh, served quickly and always hits the spot when you’re craving dumplings. my daughter’s first time here and she loves it too!

Holy hidden gem! I’m not from this area, and wasn’t expecting to find a place like this. Let alone expect that it would be this good! The photos is what got me! So i decided to try it!!! Man am I glad I came! Try the spicy wonton, fried green beans, soup dumplings of course! They are very similar to a place most know and love, DTF ;) if you know what I mean. But tastes amazing!!! They got the black vinegar on table with ginger so it’s ready for dipping!

Google
Great place for comfort food! Really glad to see a place like this in the area. Enjoyed their soup dumplings, buns, and rice cake stirfry! The sesame noodle was ok. Beautiful website and smooth online ordering process. Would love to see more traditional flavors of mochi ice cream.

Google
I really enjoyed the noodles and dumplings. Service was ok, friendly but slow. Cozy atmosphere, nice local spot.

Google
Wow. What a great experience from start to finish. Had lunch during the soft opening and was not disappointed. Although the portion size for lunch was large, 10 dumplings, I would expect that once the full menu is released lunch specials will be added. The food was fresh, and the craftsmanship of the food was excellent. I think we have a new favorite place in town.

We came out of town for a wedding but craved XLB. This place was delicious and had a cute atmosphere.

Yelp
Great food and service. Would highly recommend. Green beans and cucumbers 10/10. Soup dumplings very good as well.

Gina S.

Yelp
Was in the area and was craving some xlb. This place did not disappoint. Food came out promptly and everything was tasty. Our starter was the spinach and garlic - lots of garlic. Spicy wontons were covered in a tasty spicy sauce. Xlb was great and love the soup that's in them. Chicken buns were also good. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

Yelp
Ive ordered from eLoong Dumplings in Westlake tons of times through Postmates and always enjoy their soup dumplings, garlic cabbage, spicy chicken wontons, and sesame noodles. They have great food, and while it's not the best I've had, it's pretty tasty and a great option for delivery. We finally decided to dine in for the first time and visited their physical location, and it was packed. Luckily, we got in before the crowd came. It was frustrating to see people getting seated and served after we had already been seated but we finally managed to flag someone down. We were seated near the entrance, which is the furthest area away from the kitchen and host area, so it seemed like they somewhat forgot about us. Once we placed our order, the food started coming out quickly, and the staff constantly checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. The staff is very friendly, and it's clear that people in the area love this place, as it was packed with both dine-in and to-go orders. Positives: - Great food: soup dumplings, garlic cabbage, spicy chicken wontons, sesame noodles, boba Thai tea - Friendly staff who were attentive once our order was placed. - Popular place with a constant stream of customers, showing its local popularity. Negatives: - Initial seating experience was frustrating; others were served before us despite arriving later. - Seated near the entrance, which is far from the kitchen and host area, making it seem like we were forgotten. - The restaurant was very noisy due to the crowd. Despite the initial hiccups, the tasty food and friendly service make us want to come back and eat here again.

Yelp
Food is good. Vibe is very casual and convenient but cozy. Always a good sign when i am a total minority at a Chinese food spot. We loved the fresh accoutrements. Only bummer was there is only ONE savory dumpling available if you don't eat meat. No seafood options without pork either and we were hoping for dumplings. But there are other food options that are good, noodles, veggies, rice cakes, but if you don't eat meat don't get excited about having dumplings.

Jessica L.

Yelp
hidden gem!!! food is fabulous. ordered the vegetarian dumplings, wontons. sesame noodles, and tanghulu. i would order all again! super flavorful. i think the best was the spicy vegetarian wontons. has a really good sauce and explodes in your mouth. super good just a bit of a wait because they only had one waitress who was doing great. the tanghulu was not crunchy so definitely not cooked right. ambiance is chill and fam friendly. def pricy. but as for the wonton and dumplings, so yummy i would definitely come back!

Yelp
We ordered more than we could finish with the intent to try different dishes and take the leftovers home. My favorite dishes at eLoong are the dumplings in spicy sauce and the red bean dumplings. The beef shank noodle is pretty good too if you are okay with slices rather than meat chunks that you normally get with beef noodle soup. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. We spent almost $100 on everything. This is a good alternative if you can't drive down to SGV.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
A nice solid local place to get my dumpling's fix rather than driving to LA to go to Din Tai Fung. A pretty authentic place worth to try.

Steve R.

Yelp
Delicious rice and noodles and dumplings! Clean and comfortable restaurant for the family. Delightful! We'd come back from the Midwest to eat here again!

Eric I.

Yelp
Offers easy parking and good visibility. The interior is clean and the menu is easy to read. Service was on point and fast. Started off with the cucumber and hot sour soup. Both were very good. Leaned into the noodles and topped it off with the dumplings. Everything was hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the soup and the noodles were not greasy. Also be sure to try the cucumber for a nice clean and fresh appetizer. All in all, a great experience and looking forward to going back.

Yelp
What can I say..... outside of din in la or Shanghai Rose, Eloong is outstanding. The snap of the green beans, the spiciness of their sauces and everything was absolutely delish. The service was outstanding. Mom and pop place and family owned. Small place and didn't have to wait for a table. Will be back and can't wait to go back. Big dishes and lots of food.

Jacquelyn F.

Yelp
eLoong has some of the best dumplings I've ever tried. This is a hidden gem. The place is very tiny & usually has a wait but definitely worth it. The service is great, the food comes outs very quickly. My bf and I have been here multiple times & have never been disappointed! This last time, we got the cucumber salad, edamame (warm), fried rice with chicken, string beans, pork soup dumplings and pork & shrimp dumplings. Everything was delicious! All the dumplings are so good. The pork soup are my favorite, along with the pork bun. The veggies are so fresh. This is a great place to go if you are carving dumplings!

Mel H.

Yelp
Wow! My daughter wanted to celebrate her 16th birthday here. I gave her free range to pick anywhere and she wanted dumplings. The place is cozy and cute and everyone was very attentive. We ordered edamame, spicy cucumber (do not skip this), wonton soup (one!), short ribs, chicken bun, pork soup dumplings (yum), and chicken wontons. I have had dumplings other places and they left me with a meh feeling. This place has made me a dumpling addict! I can't wait to go back. I can see why the place was hopping on a Wednesday night with both take out and in house dining. We are definitely adding this to our favorite list!

Paul L.

Yelp
Just a perfect takeout experience. The baby cucumber salad, noodles with sesame sauce, and vegetable win tons with spicy sauce were well presented in their containers and I'm already anticipating a repeat of these dishes in the next few days. Really, really good.

Kris T.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and delicious food! The xiao long bao were my favorite, but the golden egg bun was also really yummy.

Gerrie R.

Yelp
Food is very good! Love the ambience! Service is 5 stars! I would come back here when I'm up here in Westlake village again!

Tamlyn L.

Yelp
This place was recommended to me so I decided to try it . I am comparing it to Din Tai Fung, Paradise Dynasty and Seven Grams in Tustin. I ordered the cucumber salad, the pork XLB and the shrimp and pork spicy wontons. Cucumber salad- delicious and refreshing but cucumbers were sliced too thin for my taste. I like slightly thicker chunks or slices. 4/5 Pork XLB- delicious and flavorful but wrapper was a bit thick. Could have had more soup. Got cold easily. Came with 8. Flavor overall was decent but not as good as DTF or Paradise Dynasty, more on par with Seven Grams. 3.5/5 Pork and shrimp spicy wontons- this was the biggest disappointment for me. The noodle wrapper was good but the sauce had the numbing pepper in it I guess. I had to ask the server because compared to the other places I have had them at, it was a totally different spice. I thought I was allergic because my tongue was tingly and numb after eating just 2. I left the rest and they didn't offer to replace it or comp it when it was clear I didn't like it. I've had this dish at maybe 6-10 places and this was the only one I've had that experience with. 1/5 Servers were nice and parking was easy. Ambiance is nice and casual. It was a clean place. Also no wait on a Thursday evening. Hot Green tea was great!

Ticha B.

Yelp
Dumplings were good (recommended), and the other dishes were decent. Noodles and greens were a bit bland, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with soy sauce, chili and other condiments. Stopped in on the way back from a trip off the 101 freeway. The menu was plentiful, tons of Chinese dishes (Shanghai) inspired. Didn't know I could find a dumpling place in the area, thanks Yelp for the find. Moms and pops establishment.

Josie N.

Yelp
We often drive to Orange County for dumplings, but we finally found a place that has the best delicious dumplings close to the area! No more long drives! The dumplings were absolutely fantastic, and the quality exceeded our expectations. The flavors were authentic, and each bite was a delight. We loved it and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I knew this was a gamble walking in a Chinese restaurant where none of the patrons, nor staff were Chinese. Food was bad. We ordered the xiao long bao, shrimp dumpling in spicy sauce and the rice cake with pork. The XLB were overcooked, meat was tough and not juicy at all. The dumpling itself was okay but the sauce is very lacking in flavor. The rice cake was undercooked and still crunchy instead of the chewy. I had to abandon the rice cake dish as much as I hate to waste food. Service was even worse. The two staff working the floor never checked in on us, with two empty cups on the table. Someone at the restaurant spilled water and all of them just came out and stood around to look while one was trying to clean. Had to frantically wave one of them down to get us our check. After giving them my card it took ( minutes for her to return. When I mentioned about the rice cake being undercooked, the response was just a "yes" instead of apologizing or letting me know they will let the chef know. I will NOT return to this establishment.

Yelp
This place was buzzing with happy customers enthralled in good conversation and the taste of flavorful food. It is a small restaurant but they get the best use of the space and all the team move fast to serve so the customers don't seem to mind. I ordered for takeout planning to eat in my car and let me tell you I ate every bite! The Pork Soup Dumplings did not have much broth as I typically enjoy that POP of flavorful fluid when biting in to the dumpling, instead I got a big bite of well seasoned pork that was tender and very delicious. After the first one I kept going until they were all gone, I barely remembered to eat a few with the sauce. Then I ate the perfectly cooked and seasoned broccoli with slivers of garlic in the same fashion...until every bite was gone! I enjoyed my complimentary Milk Tea with Boba as well. The coupon for it came from checking in on Yelp!

Leanne R.

Yelp
We went here to cure our craving of dumplings but didn't want to drive to LA for Din Tai Fung. Great atmosphere and our server was amazing! She answered all our questions and even let us customized our dessert order for one egg nog and two bean dumplings. The noodles were yummy and the soup dumplings needed a little more seasoning for our liking. Next time we will definitely be ordering the garlic broccoli- the customers next to us had some and it smelled amazing. We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I was very disappointed. I thought it was going to be real Dim Sum. I thought there would be servers walking around with trays of different foods. Instead, people just order off a menu, like any other restaurant. Some of the food wasn't even that good. And it was very expensive!

Alice Y.

Yelp
This place gets props for being a good Chinese option out in Thousand Oaks. The dishes are a bit pricey for the portion, but it's par for the course in this area. - Pork xiao long bao ($11.95 - 8 pcs). Standard, but good. - Pork buns ($11.95 - 3 pcs). Like 99 Ranch's steamed pork and cabbage bun, but slightly better. - Sauteed string bean with garlic ($11.95). The green beans were tender, with a snap. Simple and clean garlic and salt flavors. - Shrimp fried rice ($13.95). Pleasantly surprised that they use short grain rice, though it's not particularly chewy. It's fried "golden" style, I would have preferred larger egg pieces. However, it had good flavor; it was savory without being too salty, and the shrimp was plump. Normally I don't like so much green onion, but it works. I kept reaching for more.

Bill L.

Yelp
120% better than I expected. Very authentic Chinese foods from Chinese family point of view

Kelly T.

Yelp
Been here a few times already, great Chinese food in the area! I usually get the soup dumplings, the hot and sour soup, and the stir-fried noodles or rice cakes. I noticed that the rice cakes are not that flavorful, but the rest of the dishes are. Service is good; they even offered to give us free milk tea one time because it was the end of the night and they were closing soon. Comfy and cozy place to eat.

Ron W.

Yelp
Seen this on Yelp for quite some time and finally had the craving for dim sum. I ordered the shrimp and pork dumplings, hella bomb. The green beans with garlic was hella delicious. I had the shrimp with fried rice cake, the shrimp was great but didn't care for the rice cake. Would come back for the dim sum

Lydia M.

Yelp
We don't live in the area, but went to Underwood Farm and wanted to stop somewhere for lunch. We LOVE dumplings and treat ourselves to Din Thai Fung every now and then. This is definitely comparable. Similar pricing too. We got the soup dumplings, spicy shrimp/chicken wontons, fried shrimp noodles, edamame, steamed rice, and hot and sour soup. Everything was sooo good and feels clean. What I mean is (and idk what ingredients they use) everything felt fresh, like it was made at home.

Brandy T.

Yelp
Food 9/10 Service 8/10 Ambiance 8/10 Stoped into one of my favorite dumping houses last weekend. I only ever get the same thing so I can only comment on the Pork Soup Dumpling(Xiao Long Bao) and the garlic green beans. If you like Din Tai Fung you will love this place. It's a small location and many times you will have to wait for a table. They have under 10 tables in the small dining room. Only thing I wish was this place was bigger. Other then that Everytime I've been it's been a very pleasant experience and service is always good. Attached is a photo of the menu, check and food items I ordered. You have to try this place for yourself ' it's so good!

David M.

Yelp
I stumbled upon eLoong Dumplings recently, and it was a revelation. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between casual and inviting, with a subtle nod to Chinese tradition. Service was prompt and personal; the staff conveyed a sense of pride in their offerings, which added to the experience. The dumplings, handmade and evidently crafted with care, were a delight with fresh ingredients and flavors that shone without heavy sauces. A bit pricier, yes, but the quality and health-conscious approach make it worth it. Since 2017, eLoong has been doing it right--great vibes and even better food. Can't wait for my next visit!

Jolie F.

Yelp
On the fence for this restaurant review! It's great to see a dumpling places outside center of LA, Arcadia, Monterey Park! It's a small restaurant with limited seating outside. Some tables outside under a make shift tent. Not very welcoming seating in a parking lot, but at least there is an outdoor option. The restaurant prides itself on homemade food with no MSG. Two good things that I can get behind. The food was ok but not great. The dumplings were not spot on: they were a bit gummy. Unsure if related to the cooking or actual ingredients of dumplings. The soup dumplings were a bit on the tiny side with limited soup inside. The sticky rice was pretty good. Service was good. Waitress was very attentive. I would give this place another try.

Anne B.

Yelp
What a hidden gem in Westlake! Love all the dumpling variety but the fried rice did it for us! It was so flavorful and so delicious. Service is good and they're very attentive. Can get pretty busy during lunch so come early as seating is limited. Ambiance is casual so no need to get fancy. Just an overall good spot!

Rachel W.

Yelp
This place is a delightful hidden gem! We decided to stop in after a long hike and were immediately greeted with a warm smile and friendly hello. It's a smile space but very cozy, fun, quirky decor and clean. The ordering process is a bit different as you fill out a card marking your choices and the server reviews it aloud which was very efficient. The food was amazing! I was a bit confused by the name for the Pork Soup Dumplings because the picture clearly wasn't soup but based on the reviews and the highlight of them in the menu we thought this must be their specialty and they did not dissapoint! These perfect little dumplings are bursting with flavor! They truly are unlike any dumpling I've had before and I know I'll be thinking about them long after vacation while I'm back in Ohio. The hot and sour soup is not to be missed either. So flavorful and savory. And definitely don't skip out on the mango mochi!

Yvonne A.

Yelp
I'm sad to say these are the most unappetizing XLB I've ever had. There was very little soup and the meat was very dry and chewy. I was super excited to see Tanghulu on the menu as it's a beloved treat from my childhood. Sadly, it was completely frozen and yet the sugar shell was not crisp. Not good at all. Crispy cucumber appetizer was very tasty and spareribs were ok. But given XLB is their specialty, 2 stars it is. If I didn't hate wasting food, I would not have finished it. Given all the good reviews, I hope that this was just a bad day. Otherwise, well worth the drive to the city for much much better.

Jimmy P.

Yelp
My chicken bum was not cooked fully. My noodle chicken was dry and tasted horrible. What a waste of money $150 bucks for dinner all tossed in the trash and ordered pizza instead for dinner for family . Will never go back here again.

Erin M.

Yelp
Delicious! The pork buns & the chicken wontons in the spicy saucewere absolutely my fav

David K.

Yelp
The wait was long but worth it. Went with my daughter. We wanted to try the dumplings and decided on the Pork dumplings and an appetiser of fried noodles with shrimp (so good). The Chinese Hawthorne berry was a hit with my daughter and so was the Red bean bun. We left full and satisfied

Michelle F.

Yelp
Love the spicy wontons, Bok choy and fried rice. Never disappointed. Always have to remember they close on the early side.

Nely P.

Yelp
I have been wanting to pay this restaurant a visit for a while now but it's quite the drive away from my home. I finally got the chance to give it a try, and wanted to write a quick review because something unusual happened on my visit here. I ordered Chicken Dumplings, Chicken Buns, and Cucumber Salad. As I was eating my chicken dumplings I noticed there was shrimp inside them. I don't eat shrimp. I mentioned this to the staff and showed them the shrimp. They told me 'that had been happening a lot today." and that something must be going on with the men in the back. I asked if they have shrimp dumplings on the menu, or chicken shrimp dumplings, but they do not sell either. This put a bad taste in my mouth so I couldn't get myself to then eat the chicken buns ($11.95). They offered me a strawberry mochi afterwards, which I declined. The chicken "shrimp" dumplings were $12.95. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this establishment.

Joachim R.

Yelp
Never disappoints. Great service and great food. We live in the SFV but every time we have an opportunity to head over to Westlake we stop by this place. Great dumplings, noodles and side dishes. As a vegan, I have plenty of options and love the veggie wontons in chilli oil and the sesame noodles (similar to Dan Dan noodles). My wife loves the lotus leaf sticky rice with chicken and the XLB.

Jessica U.

Yelp
This was our first time trying this place. It is in the Tj Maxx shopping center. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The place was packed and got the last table available. The restaurant is very authentic Chinese food and everything fresh. The pork buns, chicken dumplings, and shrimp fried rice (that was so good I forgot to take a picture until there wasn't any left) were all made fresh and tasted soooo good. My daughter loved it. We would try again. Bonus: the server gifted my daughter a lollipop and a cute bun pin :) great customer service.

Ashley K.

Yelp
We've been here many times, and dumplings are very good. The dough they make for dumplings are not too thick, and just right. They offer it with ginger grinds, and soy sauce for dipping. I especially like the shrimp & pork dumpling, and garlic string beans were really good. The beef shank noodles is flavorful, but not spicy at all...it's more of a mild soup. I prefer hot & spicy though. Beef shanks were good. They actually brought us 3 small bowls to share the soup, although we didn't request it, it was useful, because we did end up sharing it. Friendly service A++! I have tried the sesame cold noodles here before too, and it was yummy. Their fluffy bao buns are also tasty. We just couldn't eat anymore today. Haha.

Donna B.

Yelp
Great dumplings are so rare to find in a Ventura or Santa Barbara counties. Tasty China in Ventura is the only other outstanding dumplings place we have found. eLoong is located not far off the 101 Freeway in Westlake Village. It's not a big eatery and fills up fast. We started with the sautéed green beans with garlic and sautéed bok choy. Both filled me with scrumptious joy. Next was the minced pork noodle. I had to physically force myself to put down my chop sticks after several bites, so that I may enjoy the assortment of dumplings coming our way. All the dumplings were absolutely delicious but my favorite was the vegetarian dumplings. Those combines with a sauce of fresh garlic, soy sauce and vinegar was truly a flavor explosion. It's one of those places I will not forget and one that will be calling my name when I'm near the 101, Westlake Village exit.

Andrea L.

Yelp
I got excited to eat at this place because I love dumplings, but it was not the best experience. The flavor and food presentation could be better. The noodles and rice were just okay. The customer service was great, but it's not enough to make me want to come back.

John L.

Yelp
Outstanding dumplings! In search of Chinese food to help me celebrate Jewish Christmas, I found these folks. They have more than just dumplings, but as you can tell by their name, they specialize in delicious little pillows. We ordered shrimp and pork won tons and Xiao Long Bao which are pork soup dumplings that are swimming in a spicy sauce. Both dishes were extremely good. Service was great and the prices were very reasonable, especially in today's economy Highly recommended and I would go out of my way to come back

alexys j.

Yelp
First time having dumplings. Enjoyed them and this place very much! 10/10 definitely recommend (Megan The Stallion voice)

Danny N.

Yelp
I've had eLoong several times over the years. The green beans and dumplings with spicy sauce are our go to items, but that's mainly because the other dishes we tried aren't great. Everything is like $7 more than it should be, which factors into the lower Yelp score.

Justin C.

Yelp
Everything there is great, wontons in spicy sauce are amazing. Easily best dumplings around.

Branton J.

Yelp
Went in with a friend for dinner and we ordered. We patiently waited as we watched folks come in, get seated, and get their food before us. There was a point that I observed that every table had food except for us so I asked. One server said that she thought we were waiting for more people to join us. The actual server who took our order looked like a deer caught in headlights. I don't know if the order wasn't put in or what exactly happened but food came out shortly after that. Food itself was ok. Would not recommend the sir fried noodles.

Anthony S.

Yelp
I am going to start off by saying this is hands-down, the best flavored food you will find in Thousand Oaks/Westlake coming from a little mom n pop spot. Everything we have tried here has been amazing every time we've been there. Consistency is key. The service is always great from the friendly waitresses. One of my favorite places that I have ever eaten in my life. I tell everyone about.
