Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas

We stayed at Elounda beach hotel and villas for a week, from September 20th to September 27th 2025.|Our room was spacious, and very clean. Not a modern look, but this added to the charm. Bathrooms beautiful, all in marble. No amenity was lacking, and Bulgari toiletries.|Fresh fruit and wine awaited us in our room upon arrival. |Our garden was self-contained and very large, with a deck and outdoor TV, and an enormous private pool for our exclusive use.|Breakfast buffet with some dishes made to order, plentiful and full of variety. Very pleasant outdoor and indoor area in which to eat it, and staff attentive and friendly. |Do go to the Greek/Cretan night that the hotel puts on, with Greek dancing and music. The buffet is absolutely sensational. Staff incredible.|So hospitable! Made us lamb French cutlets especially, because they’d found out somewhere that we liked them! They were delicious.|We must make specific mention of 3 people at Elounda, who work on the concierge desks at the main entrance.|Theodora, who showed us around the hotel and was always so kind and gentle in her ways, Phaedra who helped us greatly with information on how to get to Olous ruins, drew us a map, and gave us advice on 4WD into the wilds of Crete, and Ioanna. We cannot say enough good things about Ioanna. Whatever Ioanna does not know about tours, helping you with whatever it might be, is not worth knowing . She is a tour de force, and a beautiful person.|Highly recommend Elounda Beach Hotel and Villas.

We have stayed at Elounda Beach on a number of occasions in recent years and each of those visits has been wonderful. Our most recent stay, in late September, was equally great.|As on earlier trips we booked on a half board basis, for nine nights on this occasion, for a specific villa, through the Guest Loyalty arrangements, and enjoyed all the benefits that brings – airport transfers, guaranteed accommodation of our choosing, discounts on extras such as drinks, access to all four of the super restaurants and so on. The whole arrangement from our arrival at Herakion Airport to our return there at the end of the visit worked so smoothly and made our stay perfect. It was faultless!|Of course, the resort is in a unique setting with its own private beaches but the biggest advantage that guests enjoy is the high quality of the staff, from Reception to staff at the restaurants and bars, those responsible for housekeeping, the gardening team and many others working behind the scenes. Without exception they are friendly, helpful and a joy to deal with. They are a great credit to Elounda Beach Hotel. It would be difficult to name all those we were in contact with, but it is worth mentioning the stand-out service we received from Lia Prenza the Guest Loyalty Manager and her assistant Vasssia Kalampaliki who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was so good. Equally, the lovely Maria and Johanna in the Guest Experience team at Reception who happily arranged restaurant reservations and offered advice on a range of topics. Also, a mention for Babis the excellent sommelier who provided us with help and advice on our wine selections at each of the restaurants. |Taken together this was an excellent holiday. Wonderful restaurants, superbly well-maintained accommodation, a lovely site and even the good weather played its part! We will return in 2026.

My stay at Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas was truly unforgettable. I spent two months here, and what made this experience so special were the incredible people who became like family to me - Nikolina, Erini, Marios, Valeria, kirilos and dimitris. I have never met people more genuine, kind, and hardworking. Their warmth, professionalism, and constant smiles made every single day better. They went above and beyond in every way possible, and I can honestly say that my stay was ten times better because of them. Elounda Beach is a beautiful place, but it's the people who make it truly exceptional. I'm beyond grateful for the memories and the friendships I've made here. Unique hotel. The grounds are breath taking and beautifully designed. Staff are warm and caring. Watersports team are the best in the world. Some reviews complain about unrefurbished rooms. This is a taste issue. The "older" rooms are built in incredible quality marble and wood. Not very sustainable to destroy that just to change with the times. This is a legendary resort. As a testament to this, many guests have been coming for decades and many staff members too.

We stayed at the hotel a couple of weeks ago, and it was a truly blissful and relaxing experience. The hotel checked us in 4 hours early and upgraded our bungalow to a room to one which included a steam room and jacuzzi. If one is looking for the most modern of hotels this is not it. There were some features of the room that were a little dated, CD player and safe, and could have done with a few USB charging ports, but these details are relatively minor for a leisure traveller. The gym is clearly an old dance studio with decent equipment and lovely staff (fine for a down week) but could do with updating and new equipment that is more appropriate (e.g. pull up bars and a bench) and more of a multi gym. The setting is beautiful along the beach with different pools and stretches of beach to explore. They assign you your loungers to prevent travellers from stealing them first thing in the morning. The food was of an extremely high standard throughout, and the town is only a short walk away (15 mins) if one wants local cuisine. The breakfast is varied and consistently good. Do get up earlier for tables with a perfect view in the shade (they are in demand!). The staff make your stay pretty effortless, and is customary for a five star hotel but it was seamless, friendly and gentle throughout. We want to pay a special thanks to Alexandra the gym instructor who ran excellent classes. There are minor details that could do with refinement to make it ideal for a gym bunny determined to do work on holiday, but if you just want to relax and enjoy the view and food and have a great view at a reasonable price you will get great value here. We would recommend to others.

Ours was the best holiday. We stayed in a most comfortable Sea Princesses Villa, with a private swimming pool and a breathtaking view across the sea.|The villa was spacious and well equipped. The bedding was luxurious and the daily complimentary supply of various refreshments delivered into our rooms, delicious.|Every day we were looking forward to a breakfast . There was everything one would wish for. We felt spoiled for choice. The staff was always kind and helpful - we do not have words to describe our blissful time in Elounda Beech Hotel. We are definitively coming back.

We stayed at this resort for 10 nights in mid September and thoroughly enjoyed it - the setting is glorious , the staff are all fantastic and helpful. The slow pace did take some getting used to - until you realise that you you are, in fact totally and utterly relaxed and the resort has embraced you. If you can afford it , upgrade , but the lower tariff apartments we stayed in were still pretty nice. The on-site food is good , but you will have had better , if you like fine dining/are a bit of a foodie and booking a table reservation was easy. I would opt for the breakfast only package - there are a plethora of decent places to eat in nearby villages and towns and you’ll not be tied into dining at the hotel every evening. There is no bar scene as such - it’s all pretty quiet by 12, which suited us but if you are used to a more raucous atmosphere I’d suggest somewhere else. All in all, an amazing experience in a beautiful part of Crete and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to unplug from their everyday and totally relax in beautiful surroundings.

We had the most incredible experience at this beach resort in Crete. The property is breathtaking—lush, beautifully maintained grounds and pristine waters that invite you to unwind and explore. But what truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Every staff member was warm and welcoming, making us feel instantly at home. Special shoutouts to Maria at concierge, who went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and memorable, and Mariana in the restaurant, whose kindness and attention to detail made every meal a joy. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious, heartwarming escape. Five stars all the way!
