The 38 Best Restaurants in Barcelona

"Found on the restaurant-rich street of Carrer del Parlament, this classic-meets-modern bodega stands out in the Sant Antoni neighborhood. Enjoy a glass of wine from the shop’s old barrels, which the business also sells “a granel” (by the liter), vermouth, and various craft beers; snack on tapas and Catalan dishes; or just browse the gourmet shop. There is a little something wonderful here for everyone." - Sam Zucker

Barcelona Vermouth Bar Guide: When and Where to Drink | Eater

"A beautiful, well-kept vermouth and local wine bar on Carrer del Parlament that’s ideal as the first stop on a vermouth crawl; it offers an extensive snacks-and-tapas menu, daily hot specials, a good craft-beer selection, and an on-site gourmet shop for edible souvenirs." - Sam Zucker

14 Best Wine Bars in Barcelona | Condé Nast Traveler

"In a past life, Els Sortidors del Parlament was a motorcycle workshop; today, the high arches of a garage remain, but the engines have been replaced with giant barrels-cum-tables, tall stools, and huge tasting spaces. There’s a lot to talk about before wine even comes up. But, oh, it will; the wines are sourced globally, although there’s a strong contingent from Catalonia. You can either order a bottle or a glass, or pick a bottle from the on-site wine shop (where prices have evaded a bar markup) and add €4 for corkage." - Gemma Askham

We were lucky enough ran into a pharmacy store whose owner speaks fluent English. He strongly recommended us this place if we want something really local. We did, and it was definitely one of best dinning experience we had in Barcelona. Simple menu, not fancy however very cozy settings. Pork shoulder baked with potatoes is a must try IMHO.

The waitress was friendly and gave us suggestions, (we don’t speak spanish) explaining the tapas even thought it was very busy. We ate all the food she suggested and it was delicious. Great food and service. Will definitely come here again.

Loved everything about this place! So glad I had the opportunity to try their delicious food! Everything was perfect, the place, the food and the service. The menu is in Spanish but the waitress explained us all and made it easy to choose.

Really nice cosy place with a good choice of wine, drinks and tapas. Tuna belly salad is to die for and vermut is great.

Google
A really great, spacious bar in Sant Antoni with. We were a group of 14 or more who came for a birthday without a reservation, and the owners were very kind and helped us find a table that could fit all of our group. Drinks are reasonably priced and made with love. Overall a great bar with friendly people working there - highly recommended

Yelp
Very welcoming place to start a Beyond Tapas Tour with our guide, Alex! Neighborhood bar feel and very friendly staff. Food was excellent though we didn't have much - they made a Catalan Cava recommendation that matched the Cheese Platter, Morcilla, and a stewed uncured ham with potatoes!

Yelp
We came here during a tapas tour and tried several tapas and their vermouth. The biggest star for us was their house-made vermouth. I've tried vermouth before and wasn't a big fan until I tried the one at Els Sortidors Del Parlament. It's a fortified wine with added aromatics, herbs and spices poured over ice. It was so good we ended up purchasing a bottle to take back to the States.

Yelp
El Sortidors is an anchor of cool, hip, up-and-coming Parlament Street. It attracts a slightly older, more up-scale clientele than some of its neighbors, but that doesn't mean you can't have a fun, relaxed time. I love the decor in Els Sortidors: spacious rooms, high cielings, and summer ferns add a Mediterranean air of clean, comfortable class to the establishment. Wine barrels dotting the back serve as tables around which groups of yuppies and other, less pretentious professionals enjoy a glass of wine after work or before dinner. The restaurant has an excellent wine selection and delicious, if slightly pricey, food. The service is charming, attentive, and pleasant. Els Sortidors is definitely a must on any trip down Parlament!

Yelp
Sometimes it is not what it looks, and this place is one of those. The name made me think I was going to find a beer heaven, but it's not. It seems that they have more wine choice than beer. I am a beer lover and I am still looking for the right place to have an IPA that is not going to cost me a leg. They only had one IPA and I also took a look to the menu and it was completely overprice. I have to mention that the service was perfect, nice and charming. They absolutely have better waiters than menu.

Yelp
This place was my mom's and my favorite restaurant during our time in Barcelona. We went back three nights out of our ten day trip and loved it every time. The sangria was especially good, and we also loved the mini hamburguesas, the salmon, and the roasted vegetables. Thanks Parlament!

Yelp
Lively restaurant. Loved the tapas. I recommend "foie gras mi-cuit".

Yelp
After spending 7 days in Barcelona, Els Sortidors became my fast favorite. Other places were wonderful too - we ventured all over the city and experienced everything from cheap tapas to fine dining. But, Els Sortidors was outstanding. The food is dreamy. Everything is so fresh & beyond delicious. The house made Vermouth is perfection - (Tip: you can get a container to go. It made it all the way home in our checked luggage.). The tomato bread was crispy and savory. The mussels were outstanding. The wine was wonderful, especially for the price. The anchovies were full of flavor. Everything we tried was better than expected. The atmosphere is relaxing & charming. You can sit on stools around barrels and people watch - or you can also dine at a table or spot at the bar top. The staff went above and beyond to work with us - as we willingly struggled to speak catalan when possible. All in all - this is the only establishment that we visited multiple times. We wanted to explore - try as many restaurants as possible - but, when it came down to it - we caved and went back to 'our spot' 3-4 times. It was just too good.

Yelp
I second all that has been said. This is a really nice place to be, only minutes from the tourist trail, but full of real people (mostly locals). Excellent wine list, knowledgeable wait staff, great ambience, and interesting (seafood dominant) tapas. We (2 of us) ate and drank well for 70 euros.
