Local small plates paired with beer, wine or vermouth in a rustic tavern with mismatched chairs.
"Found on the restaurant-rich street of Carrer del Parlament, this classic-meets-modern bodega stands out in the Sant Antoni neighborhood. Enjoy a glass of wine from the shop’s old barrels, which the business also sells “a granel” (by the liter), vermouth, and various craft beers; snack on tapas and Catalan dishes; or just browse the gourmet shop. There is a little something wonderful here for everyone." - Sam Zucker
"This beautiful old bar on the hip, lovely Carrer del Parlament specializes in vermouth as well as local wine, and is an ideal starting point for a vermouth crawl. It features an extensive menu of snacks and tapas, as well as daily hot specials from the kitchen, and a great selection of local craft beers. Check out the gourmet shop for some edible souvenirs." - Sam Zucker
"In a past life, Els Sortidors del Parlament was a motorcycle workshop; today, the high arches of a garage remain, but the engines have been replaced with giant barrels-cum-tables, tall stools, and huge tasting spaces. There’s a lot to talk about before wine even comes up. But, oh, it will; the wines are sourced globally, although there’s a strong contingent from Catalonia. You can either order a bottle or a glass, or pick a bottle from the on-site wine shop (where prices have evaded a bar markup) and add €4 for corkage." - Gemma Askham
