Lady at the counter was really nice! The chicharrón was really tasty and so crunchy. It was a little salty for my liking though. Yucca was perfectly cooked and the cebollita, woww too good! Would definitely go back next time I travel to NY.

The food is delicious but the service is an ABOMINATION. I watched about 15 people line up after me, while all the girls huddled in the back talking and giggling. Ignoring them. 2 people left..a big crowd formed. I ate my entire lunch plate (I had to ask for more meat because the girl gave a portion I've never seen in the Bronx. Like she's scared to fill the plate.)while these poor people were ignored. Nothing the staff was discussing is that important if your laughing and letting money walk out the door. 20min before you even say hi to these people? I ate my entire meal while they talked in the back. I'll never step foot in this place again. And the girl at the counter has such a bad attitude because I dont speak Spanish. Its not a big issue. Fix your face and be nice. I came to just pay and eat a good meal. Horrible. Do not go here. So many more options

Ordered a chicken Pastel en Hoja and it looked pretty big in comparison to tradicional ones. I didn’t ask for price so I do not know how much I paid for this because I had other items. To my surprise it was 70% plantain and 30% chicken, ridiculous there was barely any chicken in there and it had no flavor. This is a disgrace to pastel en hoja lol…chicharrón was really good nonetheless so props on them for that.

Best chicharrónes in the Bronx!! I live in Fishkill, NY and once a month I go to the Bronx and I always stop in Elsa's La Reina del chicharrón to grab 2 pounds of chicharrónes for the family.

Some of the best Mofongo I've ever had. I try different combinations often my favorite so far is shrimp and cheese. I eat a lot and I can't ever eat an entire one in one sitting. Also some of the best chicharrón around.

Food was ok, but this place needs some remodeling 😒 The restaurant looks old and not very clean. The only reason for 3 stars is because the food was ok. 😐 I’ve tried other locations and food is always great.

Rude service only pork got yelled at for asking for other things even though they only served pork i thought they would explain more or what to expect because im new to this i just saw it and walked in because of the line the inside is cramped and stank. 1/10 i dont recommend

The The etiquette at this location was horrible. I ordered Chicharrón sat in the car to find out it was basically fat. I returned it to the store, and the lady disregarded me and told me that I was gone longer than ten minutes. I was not they make plenty of money there. Therefore, it should not have been a problem replacing me meat as I purchased I did not or would not go there to purchase fat. Also I believe if I were Spanish or Dominican. She would have exchanged it for me and give me what I paid for. Let it be noted I am aware that Chicharrón does has fat but these pieces were purely fat. Discussing!!!

My favorite place for chicharrone! Their food taste great and I'm always satisfied. My Spanish isn't very good but they understand me. Hmmm, maybe I'll go there later this afternoon!

Best place to eat Every time I go to the Bronx I have to stop and get food from here.

I do not recommend going here, the customer service is terrible. My mother is a loyal customer for many years, she goes in for a $10 order of Chicharrones, the employee is giving her a small plastic container and she politely ask for a slightly bigger plate and offers to pay for the plate. As the employee tells my mother they usual serve it in a small container the Manager out of nowhere intrudes and proceeds to yell at my mother saying if you already told her and don't listen move on to the next customer(in Spanish). Everyone stood there in shock looking at her and at my mother. That manager is extremely rude and clearly hates her job. If you do hate your job that much leave. You lost a very loyal customer, a women who has visited this restaurant for over 18 years gets this type of treatment over asking for a bigger plate. Clearly this place needs changes and should start with its disrespectful manager...

Every time I order by the phone the lady treat me with very kindly and my orders are always right. I live close to the restaurant and the delivery time is faster than expected. The food quality is great, my favorite plate is Chicharrón de Pollo con hueso, I recommended!

5 stars for my visits !! Yummy!! I've been here a couple times after work. I get the usual, chicharrón con tostones.. The best . Last time I went was with a group of girls on Valentines Day (yes we were all single lmao) but I had a great time. Buckets of beer were priced fairly as well as the shots of black label. The bartenders are attentive when they're not drinking, and taking pictures behind the bar lol .. Other than that, the music is great. If you wanna eat good chicharrón and dance bachata, merengue, salsa, this is it.

Come here for the namesake chicarron, which is sold by weight. There are a couple of bar stools, but this is primarily a take-out place located right next to the subway. They have a steam table, but nothing is labeled. The counter lady patiently identified the dishes I asked about. According to the take-out menu which I picked up on the way out, they serve various specials of the day such as pollo guisado, chivo and pernil.

If it was up To me they wouldn't get any stars. They sold me food with worms in it. I hope they get burned down. When I asked for the manager she got upset and had the nerve to say I just traded the food for someone else's and that I didn't buy that from there. When I just walked out of her restaurant with purchased food. They're disgusting and what's worse is that she had an attitude. I wanted to punch her in the face. Never going there again. They lost me as their customer and my friends and family that go there. Good luck to those who do eat from there.

Food was very dry and tasteless, only thing that saved it was the garlic sauce, That OH! You have to pay for as well, very over priced for what is being served

Came here one time order the Fried pork with Plantains it was really good... The staff was Polite I will come back again...

I selected a star because there is no other choice otherwise they wouldn't get not even one. Food is great is you go there and eat. However, according to Yelp they deliver and to make sure i called and they do. I live 1.9 miles away and when i placed my order the nasty rude woman on phone said "you live to far i need a plane to get there so i will not drive that far. If you want to eat you are going to have to come and get it " and just like that hanged up. Customer service is the worst i've encountered in the bronx.

I love this place! They have THE BEST chicharron. When I want to treat myself to something different, I always come here.
