"What It Is: A music venue in Bushwick that hosts dance parties on its roof Perfect For: Dancing, Birthdays, Big Groups, Outdoor Patio Situation Last Saturday, it was supposed to rain. Fortunately, it didn’t - and we spent a few hours dancing on the roof at Elsewhere. This place is a big music venue in a warehouse space in Bushwick, and they just opened up their rooftop with views of the surrounding neighborhood. It’s essentially just a huge patio/dance floor with a bar and an elevated DJ booth in the corner, and with all the fresh air and loud music, it feels sort of like a party on the deck of a cruise ship (in Bushwick). The Verdict: At some point this summer, you should dance outdoors here. We’ve added Elsewhere to the Bar Hit List." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg, chris stang, matt tervooren
"If you want to party on a rooftop while you drink out of a small plastic cup and watch the sunset in Bushwick, Elsewhere is where you need to be. This is a big music venue in a warehouse with a few separate spaces, including a large rooftop where you can hang out and dance. We suggest you stop by at least once this summer if you don't want to be full of regret once the weather gets cold again. You can check the DJ schedule and buy tickets on their website." - bryan kim, neha talreja, kenny yang, molly fitzpatrick
"The Honey Deuce has found its way into the hands of tennis fans outside of the U.S. Open. In New York, Elsewhere serve the drinks." - Gabriella Lewis
"Elsewhere is a rooftop in Bushwick that has food pop-ups and frozen cocktails, along with DJ sets during the day. In other words, if you’re one of those people who enjoys dancing even when it’s bright enough for people to actually see you, you’ll like it here." - matt tervooren
"Located in Brooklyn on a hip stretch of Bushwick’s Jefferson Avenue, Elsewhere—a vast, three-story nightclub and live music venue with multiple dance floors, stages, and a rooftop—has become one of the city’s best nightlife destinations. Spinning disco balls and kaleidoscopic lights set the scene. A somewhat recent staple in the city’s nightlife scene, Elsewhere is a converted warehouse that opened in 2017. Blocks away from similar venues like Avant Gardener and House of Yes, Elsewhere stands out for its inclusivity, its intimate vibe in spite of its size, and for lifting up smaller, up-and-coming acts." - Melissa Liebling-Goldberg, Alex Erdekian
