The atmosphere is industrial but cozy. There is a good variety of bagels to choose from and many different toppings. I love the large amount of cream cheese they put and the flavor of the bagels. They also have a good variety of drinks that go well with their yummy bagels. I highly recommend stopping in and trying a fresh bagel.

Google
This was a happen stance, need for a bagel 🥯 sandwich. That turned into the finding of one of my new favorite places in Seattle! The food was Amazing 🤩, the space is Great and the coffee was delicious! I will be back to try many more Great looking sandwiches.

Nat Guzman

Google
The bagels are spectacular! They have rotating spreads such as olive and herbs, a variety of wood fired bagels and great sandwich options. The cafe itself has lovely windows. Perfect spot to study or have breakfast at.

Google
Good Montreal-style bagels.Just had to share my thoughts on this bagel place I went to!🥯 The bagels themselves were *amazing* – perfectly chewy and flavorful.🤤 The service was okay, nothing to write home about, but they got the job done. 🤷‍♀️ The location isn't the most convenient, but hey, good bagels are worth a little detour, right?🚗 I'd definitely go back for the bagels, maybe grab a coffee ☕ while I'm at it.

Google
The halloumi sandwich is amazing. Coffee is good too. Try the shakshuka for a wholesome lunch. Great place to work or study.

Google
I love Eltana bagels they’re probably the best bagels in Seattle. My favorite is the sesame bagel perfect consistency and bounce

Lily

Google
TIP: They are on the app " too good to go" if you don't mind old bagels/ freeze them for the future. The bagels could use a bit more schmear. The bagels weren't too heavy or dense but I can't say they taste that different than store bought ones. I waited about 15 minutes for my order ( 2 bagels and a drink). Giving it 4 stars since they use local roasters for coffee and have good employment practices. The place has an industrial feel with tables throughout.

Google
The bagels are good, but the honey almond cream cheese makes them 10 times better. The one problem I have is that it can be a different experience each time, as in the bagels are sometime seem like they were cooked to long. Usually it’s a good experience though. Last time I went, the bagels were vary good. My parents from California love to go out for bagels and said the cream cheese from here is some of the best they have had. My ratings on their cream cheeses are as follows: 1. Honey Almond 2. Lemon & Dill 3. Olive & Herb 4. Pomegranate Berry

Yelp
This is my new favorite bagels spot. Try the everything bagel with olive cream cheese and you won't be disappointed. The bagels here are unique in that they are small and wood fired, giving them a taste that's different than anywhere else. They also have a really nice chew to them, but again they are small so you may need to have one with something else to feel full. As others have said, the bagels do get pretty hard when you take them home, but I freeze mine and toast them in a steam oven and they come out great. Also, if you come near the end of the day, you may get a few extra bagels for free.

Yelp
Stood in line for 15 minutes just to find out that they didn't want to take anyone's order. I get it busy but what the hell? Update: I ordered online, waited 27 minutes and when I came up to the counter, the lady said "oh... I'm so sorry. We didn't get the order till now. It'll be a 15 minute wait" Never coming here again.

Yelp
I'm always searching for great catering options for my customers, Eltana is always a hit when working in Seattle. I typically get a variety of sandwiches, but have recently had a request for the Hero box (18 bagels and 3 spreads.) The menu selection offers something for everyone, you can't go wrong when hosting for a large group. Great customer service experience as I greatly appreciate the ease of placing a catering order online, the consistency of the order accuracy, and overall quality of order. I will order again, and highly recommend!

Yelp
Recently there's been media coverage that Seattle finally has worthy bagels. That's great, however, I like the smaller, Montreal-style bagels from Eltana. My visits are infrequent and usually at the Wallingford site. However, today I had parked right in front of the Capitol Hill location to visit another cafe. Before leaving my prized parking spot, I popped in and thankfully there was a short line (9/20/24). The pillar by the front counter makes it a challenge to be seen immediately. However, I was able to get place an order, pay & get the goods. Got a plain, everything, and cinnamon raisin bagged up to go. Minimal interaction with the counter person. Maybe consider a self serve order/payment kiosk for pickup by number instead. Total contrast versus my better experience earlier this week at Toasted in the UDistrict. PS Bummer, the cinnamon raisin one was very dense and heavy. Bagels as weapons hard. However, the everything one is much better!

Yelp
A true morning delight! I tried the lox spread for the first time and am in complete aw! The items came out relatively quick, the staff was cheerful, and the decor inside captivates you enough to with its coziness to consider staying and enjoying more than one bagel.

Yelp
CAPITOL HILL, Seattle - Would easily return. Nice bagels - a chewy almost crunch exterior but very fluffy and lighter inside, great chewing experience. I had spicy garlic cream cheese spread on everything - a nice jalapeño mouth warmer, though too spicy for my spicy-adverse wife. The missus had sesame bagel with miso veggie cream cheese - a salty miso flavor with actual bits of vegetable in there, a bit better than the French onion soup stirred into cream cheese approach. Total bill, with a couple coffees, was $20ish. Wouldn't do this daily, but a worthwhile occasional treat. Plenty of available seating on a Friday 8 am. Clean. Personable staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: we had the bagel and lox with everything bagel. Their bagel was on the smaller side but it delivered in taste. I am familiar with New York bagels and I would imagine they are the criterion of a good bagel but I'm also no bagel connoisseur. Ambiance: excellent airy and warm sensation. Love the vines wrapping the guiding on the exterior Service: standard.

Yelp
Best bagels around for my tastes. Not enormous and the options are great, including the sandwiches. Definitely recommend.

Tasha B.

Yelp
Great cold brew! The red pepper walnut spread is delicious. I normally don't like anything with bell peppers but wasn't properly caffeinated when I ordered it. I thought they meant red pepper as in crusted red pepper so maybe a spicy walnut spread? But obviously they were talking about red bell peppers. It was great! Glad I misunderstood because I wouldn't have ordered it otherwise and would have missed out! :) everyone was very nice and helpful.

Yelp
Eltana bagels has been a mainstay of the Seattle Bagel Scene for awhile and I've never been disappointed. The food is delicious, healthy and fresh. Coffee by BioWilly is amazing too. Try the salmon spread bagel, the shakshouka and any of their wide variety of spreads including vegan options galore. Bagels are Montral style, different from New York and really should be tried. The service is great, Heydi at the Stone Way Eltana is a delight and always greats me with a smile. Daniel the manager/co-owner is a true Mensch. The catering is also fantastic for corporate lunches, meetings or just a treat for the office. The Green Za'atar bagel chips are also way better than other options and great for parties or just noshing.

Gabe S.

Yelp
Service was great, staff is super nice. The bagel is not good. At all. The "egg" tastes like rubber... which makes it hard to eat the halloumi since it just tastes like you're eating two pieces of rubber sandwiched between cardboard.
google avatar

Yelp
Customer service is sorely lacking. Also, the bagels are incredibly small. Picture with earbuds for scale.
google avatar

Alana K.

Yelp
Great spot to pop into for a quick lunch, especially when everything else in the area had like an hour+ long weekend brunch wait. My stomach did not want to wait for nourishment. Lovely bagel selection. I ordered a plain bagel with their rotating spread which was lemon dill feta and it was delicious. Also ordered qishir latte which I believe was rose cardamom? It was also really good. Reasonable prices and pleasant counter service. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again.

Yelp
Heard and saw this bagel brand everywhere. So I happened to pass by after lunch, so I went in. The place is cozy and super cute design. The gal is super nice and sweet. The colorful one caught my eye. So I gotta try it. They toasted it. Crispy outside and super soft inside. I walked out and ended up walking back in to get another one..lol. I got cinnamon raisin this time, not in the picture. Definitely will come back for more.

Yelp
I'm so happy that there is a pretty good bagel shop near me. I got 8 bagels (different) and two tubs of cream cheese that came out to about $35. I was a bit alarmed because it seemed pretty expensive since the bagels are tinier than most bagels I've had around the area. Cream cheese is okay- more whipped. I did enjoy eating the bagels, but def in the pricier side

Yelp
I loved the atmosphere! They have crosswords puzzle you can work on and they keep last week's puzzle answers on the wall. They had a high chair & boosters available for kids. And the staff was super friendly and accommodating. My toddler was going through a moment of not liking cream cheese (even though she eats it every day) and just wanting cheese. They were able to give her a little cup of shredded mozzarella for free! (Which was unexpected because we were prepared to pay but so sweet). My toddler loved getting to eat the cheese and I loved that they were able to give her some. The bagels were medium sized and absolutely delicious. They were fresh and fluffy with the perfect bit of crunch in your bite. The cream cheese was whipped and flavorful. I'm not a huge but fan but the honey almond flavor attracted me for some reason and I was not disappointed. The almonds bits were barely noticeable but added a nice texture. And it was so cute how it was plated with an orange slice. I definitely would come back. Great experience.

Yelp
I'm conflicted because the bagels + spread themselves are sooooOOOOO good! They're perfectly chewy and on the smaller side (which I actually like - you can try multiple!) and the variety of bagel types and spreads (savoury, sweet, vegan, etc.) is so vast it's almost so hard to choose! They don't skimp on the spread either. However, they got both our orders wrong - gave a plain instead of a rainbow bagel and on one bagel forgot to put spread on? Very confusing, but guess it was really busy. ANYWHO - I do love the bagels :) The coffee was good too. Bagels are prices $2+ and spreads .50 cents + Located in DT Cap Hill.

Yelp
If you are in Seattle and looking for some bagel breakfast, go out to this place. It is in Capitol Hill and easy to reach. We went there on Saturday morning. There was no wait and there have a huge sitting area. The bagels and cheese were fresh. We ordered jalapeño cream cheese and olive cream cheese and both were super nice. They have so many options for the bagel bread and for the spread. They have options for non bagel eaters as well. Its a must go!
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
Overall pretty good, could have done with more lox for 5 $ upcharge. Lox spread is very good. Bagels are a wee small?? Didn't get as much char flavor from the wood fired bake. Cool idea for crossword puzzle though none left at 2 pm on Saturday when we got there. Hot sauce offering=crystal. Use biowillys beans for coffee. Decent
google avatar

Rahim K.

Yelp
Bagels were great. The creamcheese was good however the fact that it's more expensive than the bagel is concering. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambiance was very welcoming and I would recommend just get the free cream-cheese if that's even an option.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Open and airy and lovely inside. Service is prompt and efficient. My favorite bagels in Seattle.
google avatar

Tambra C.

Yelp
I actually really liked this place, which was surprising because I'm all about a solid NY bagel. We explored other options in the area and didn't find anything worth spending money on, so this was a last ditch effort. Staff was friendly despite being slammed. Bagels are small, but have great texture - crisp on the outside and moist and chewy inside. We got a mix of the everything, sesame (needs salt, bread was too sweet), and cinnamon raisin (golden raisins were a really nice treat). They hold up for 2-3 days before they're too bready and stale. Freeze beautifully. Overall, this is a solid spot. We've been back maybe 20 times. Never disappoints.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this shop when we were in Seattle, and decided on a bagel for a snack. We ordered their Everything Bagel with Za'atar Scallion Cream Cheese. The bagel was pretty standard, quite crispy, but the spread was delightful. Love their variety of spreads here!
google avatar

Shivam D.

Yelp
This place is one of the few bagel places open past 2 PM, so I find myself visiting it pretty frequently. There's always parking around the store, and they are fully stocked with all sorts of bagels. My go-to order here is a half and half plain bagel, with one savory spread and one sweet spread. For savory, definitely try their zaatar scallion spread. For sweet, my absolute favorite is their rotating spread - the orange pistachio and ricotta spread (it is amazing). However, they sometimes rotate that out, so the honey almond is a good backup :-) They are very generous with their spreads, and make sure you're never left with a plain bite. Overall, love this place for an afternoon snack and would recommend everyone to try it out! They have options for breakfast/lunch sandwiches, and even some drinks.

Yelp
I would give Eltana 0 stars if it was possible. As a former employee, I have first hand experience with the maltreatment of staff and customers by Eltana managers and staff. I was terminated at age 16 after two weeks of employment and was never given a reason for my termination. I inquired multiple times to numerous staff members, but never received a response. They are notorious for their rapid employee turn around, and I only met one employee during my time there that had been employed there for more than two weeks. I heard complaints about people in managing positions from coworkers, customers, and bosses of mine. Additionally, they charge twice the amount for you to eat a bagel then the amount it costs to make it. Overall, I had little to no positive experiences being employed there. If you want a shitty bagel and to be treated like you dont deserve basic decency, go to Eltana!

Alicia S.

Yelp
For the third, and final, time ordering from Eltana and picking up we continue to be wholly unimpressed. The onions are not red onions they are some sort of nasty pickled things, the amount of lox is beyond tiny, and the tomato was so mushy. There is no care in preparing the food. The price is so high for such low quality. Even the bagel is just mediocre.
google avatar

Saadiya D.

Yelp
I went back today to get the cream cheese and lox bagel and it was extremely disappointing. The bagel wasn't even cut and it was just stuffed with cream cheese. I opened it up and found that there was no smoked salmon, maybe a little tiny piece but it turned out to be tomatoes For a $12 bagel this was extremely disappointing and ruined my morning. I definitely recommend going to other bagel shops. Update: Danial contacted me and provided me a refund for my purchase which I really appreciated!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Every member of the family loved this place! Of course a bagel spot in the heart of Seattle is busy; we waited about 15 mins before being served. Well worth it though. The bagels and bagel spreads are the most unique I've seen, with monthly specials! So fun, but very challenging to make a decision on what to order! Bagels are chewy and taste fresh, and the spreads are so flavorful and airy. Before the end of our visit one of the workers came and offered us to try their cookies. So unexpected, but such a nice gesture. Those simple kindnesses are what keep people coming back.

Talia N.

Yelp
$27 for two tiny pieces of lox on mini too salted bagels is enough to make anyone gag! The tomatoes are larger than the bagels. The capers could serve as half a jar. Who smooshed the quarter pickle (sans flavor)? This was absolutely unacceptable delivery, service, and the entire plate should have been refunded for not even sending the extra $5 I paid for lox alone. The business didn't even pick up calls. You couldn't reach the though UBER. Nothing could be made right. What a waste and abuse.
google avatar

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Came here for the first time on a Sunday afternoon to get my bagel fix. These are wood fired, Montreal style bagels. For those unfamiliar, not quite as dense as a New York bagel, and a little more crisp. I had an Everything bagel straight up, unsliced, untoasted, unmodified. I've been to Montreal many times and these are close enough to the real thing that I'm pleased this shop exists in Seattle! The bagel came with a Shakshuka which was also pretty tasty. Clearly made in house with good ingredients. And as a world traveler who loves to eat, I'll say this one isn't quite as good as you'll find in northern Tel Aviv. The spice mix isn't completely right, and theirs is relatively bland. Overall, I'll definitely be back for a bagel, probably not for shakshuka.
google avatar

Syd R.

Yelp
Ordered 21 bagels for a work event the morning of. Almost every single bagel was hard as a rock, and difficult to even cut or chew. Some of them you'd bite into and It would crumble... awful. If you want something edible, avoid this place

Teresa P.

Yelp
I love a good bagel but the bagels here are so hard!! I've given this place a few tries, and the toppings are usually pretty good but I often find once biting into my bagel I am not satisfied :( They are rock hard sometimes even scrape the roof of my mouth.
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
While the schmear was delicious, the bagel itself was hard, flavorless, stale, and inedible. "Jerusalem bagels are thinner oval-shaped bagels that are soft, airy, and less doughy with a slight sweetness..." -Gadi Peleg To the people who insist that Eltana's bagels is how Israeli bagels are supposed to be, well, that was not our experience at all. We take zero issues with the shape or size or preparation method, but the bagel was burnt on the outside and dry, dense, and stale on the inside. We ordered in the morning as well but it tasted like it was at least a day old. Not sure what happened but do not want people to think this is representative of a great Israeli bagel.
google avatar

Vivian W.

Yelp
More cream cheese than bagel. Scallion za'tar cream cheese bland. Everything bagel needed more aromatics. Tough, almost stale flavor. Over $6 for a bagel with cream cheese. Only plus is staff was appropriate, relatively nice helpful. Will not be coming back
google avatar

Rikki G.

Yelp
I'm a little shocked this place doesn't have a higher star rating. The bagel and spread selection is unbeatable. The wood fire toasted bagels have the perfect flavor and crunch. I ordered a salted bagel with spicy garlic spread. It's strong in salt and flavor. Very overpowering but extremely delicious and worth it. Service was a tad slow although three people working but perhaps the wood fire process takes some time. Overall, recommend for your morning bagel and coffee stop.

Yelp
I really wanted to like Eltana's bagels. As a New Yorker originally, I was spoiled with a lot of great bagel options. After living in Seattle for the past 35 years, I have been on the never-ending quest to find a decent bagel. I have had to resort to having them shipped in from New York or even Montreal. When I saw the sleeve of Eltana bagels in my local grocery store, they appeared to look a lot like the St. Viateur bagels out of Montreal. I was excited. Until I saw the price for a sleeve of 4. And then I realized how small they were. But oh well, when you are desperate for a good bagel, I will look past the silly price. At least one time. My hope was that they would deliver. I am sorry to say that they were a bit tasteless. Density was pretty good, but for the money, I will continue to have bagels flown in from other parts of the planet.
google avatar

Niya Z.

Yelp
Well they say this place produce real bagel for they are honey water boiled and wood fire baked. These bagels are solid and you can hardly bite it. The salt bagel is very salty and you have to go with other things. I prefer the sesame ones.
google avatar

Pranav K.

Yelp
Ordered some bagels on July 4th, so glad they were open for business! We got the everything bagel with lox and fixings and one with harissa hummus. The latter was mildly spicy and I would have preferred it hotter. The fillings were overfloweth, so good value for money and would try some other interesting options like the zatar scallion combo.
google avatar

Shirin B.

Yelp
4 stars for their vegetarian breakfast bagel sandwich since I never knew I liked Halloumi cheese until I had this sandwich. Egg, arugula, and halloumi cheese? I was skeptical at first but when I had it, all of it made the most harmonious pairing. The bagel could have probably been slightly more toasted (should have asked for that), and the hot sauce was some random overly-vinegary sauce - honestly that bagel was begging for some sriracha, but on its own, it was delicious as well.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
They had me at firewood bagels. Delicious! My fave is the poppyseed bagel. Bagels are not overally dense, all toppings come out toasted with just the right crunch. Cream cheese was amazing, they are overally generous with spread too.
google avatar

Karla B.

Yelp
Glad I gave Eltana another shot, I love coming here to grab a bagel with cream-cheese & iced vanilla latte. So good!!
google avatar

Abigail L.

Yelp
Cute little bagel cafe with sweet or savory bagels. I stopped in today for a hot drink and tried one of their wood fired bagels (cinnamon raisin to be exact) with the honey almond cream cheese. I know it's just a simple bread and cream cheese, but it was really tasty. Their bagels are between the size of a mini and a regular sized bagel. It's the perfect size for me - not too big, not too small. They have a variety of sweet or savory spreads as well as lox options. Place has a great vibe and plenty of seating. Great place to meet up with friends and catch up!

Bryan T.

Yelp
Tasty bagel; great sausage on the egg sandwich. Staff was happy and the place was active without being too crowded.
google avatar

Elissa F.

Yelp
They didn't have gluten free bagels for my delivery order and even wrote that on the delivery. But did they refund me the $18? No. Did DoorDash when asked? No. What a ripoff!! The bagels weren't even good - hard as a rock especially the pride bagels. Big fail.
google avatar

Tanvi R.

Yelp
Loved the garlic cream cheese on my everything bagel. I ordered it with avocado and halloumi. Halloumi could have been a bit more flavored. I love the crossword puzzles that are available here. Very peaceful to sit here with your bagel , coffee and your puzzle.
google avatar

Shandelle B.

Yelp
This is a hip little coffee and bagel shop in Capitol Hill that would really cool if I only liked their gluten free bagels more. The service here was fine. The coffee was alright. But I came for a gluten free bagel and it just didn't hit the spot. It was small and tasted kind of old. The smear was alright and there are several to choose from. Sadly I can't try the regular bagels. So if you're looking for a gluten free bagel, just stick to the freezer section at Whole Foods this time. Bonus points for the free giant crossword puzzle on the wall though!

Yelp
Agreed with the other reviewers that Eltana is getting low ratings because of the size of their bagels. I'm a huge Yelper and this is when ratings + Yelp make me sad. A few unsatisfied customer reviews can knock a restaurant low and in turn people don't check them out. I was pointed here by a local Seattlite that swore by these so I had to give them a try. IMO for a buck something, it's really not horrible on pricing. Yes their bagels are "doughy" but it's their style so don't rate them low because of it. Too much shmear? Their online ordering gives you an easy place to denote that you want less shmear. Small bagels? IDK I think they're the right size where you don't feel stuffed and you're getting the right amount without overeating. Lightly toasted, extra toasted - Eltana has you covered. It seems Eltana has done a lot to adjust to their customer demands so don't be deterred to order from here because of the lower ratings. Easy to order online and promptly delievered to our doorstep. The bagel & lox did feel pricey but for the quality I'm down to grab another one. Cream cheeses are all lovely and creamy! I can wait to drive into the other bagels we nabbed. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I went to Eltana because Westman's was closed, and I wasn't disappointed that I had to change my plans. I was immediately struck with the great smell of bagels when I entered the store. I ordered a plain bagel with spicy garlic cream cheese with avocado, and it was very satisfying. I was pleasantly surprised when the cashier told me (somewhat sheepishly) that ordering a bagel on a Tuesday also gets you a free bagel. I paid just under $7, and the free extra bagel made it a good deal! The bagels are wood-fired. They are a little skinner than I'm used to, but the crunch is very satisying. Eltana has a laid back atomosphere. I loved the gigantic crossword puzzle on the wall, and I liked the large garage door on the front wall. I didn't keep my receipt, so I didn't have the wifi password. I would definitely go back to try the other schmears!

Lara P.

Yelp
I love everything about this place! The food is great, the people are nice, and I love the playlist. 11/10, would go again!!
