Downtown Austin Ping-Pong Bar Smash ATX Is Closed | Eater Austin

"I read that the address is being turned into a two-hotel development — Embassy Suites and Tempo by Hilton — and the project is supposed to include a restaurant, which is the presumed reason Smash closed for the impending construction." - Nadia Chaudhury

💯% RECOMMENDED! rooms are nice and clean and updated. They have little sink fridge and microwave. We love the coffee maker in the room too. The bar offers free snacks and drinks are very decent prices. The restaurant in the hotel offers small. Variety of options but all so good. But what are we love the most, the best thing the include breakfast, so good 👍. Made our long trip back home placent. I being telling everyone about this nice experience.

I am not one to leave negative reviews. I realize the risk when you stay at a hotel, however, given I was extremely understanding, I expected more empathy and effort from the hotel management to help me when I brought to their attention that there were multiple insects in our hotel room. There was some sort of bug infestation! We stayed only one night and there were multiple instances of small bugs crawling in the bed. I called management immediately and they came up, bagged everything, and apologized. Since my stay on 8/23/25, there was no sense of urgency or effort on their part to assist my family. My kids have bites on their bodies and we have our suitcase bagged until now! Even a simple refund was not done since it was “booked through a third party.” Every communication was initiated by me. There’s no documentation that shows it wasn’t bed bugs. The manager wrote in his email that it’s just “beetles.” Does that make it okay that the room was infested by them? I couldn’t get a report from pest control so I have no peace of mind or confirmation whatsoever if it’s bed bugs. Hands down, worst hotel stay we’ve had and worst customer service. They simply said sorry and reassured me that the room was closed to other customers while they “investigate.” It was room 521 for the week of 8/23/25-8/30/25. I hope my review helps others.

Overall we had a great stay at this hotel. We were originally assigned room 211 which seemed right outside the elevator motors. .could hear a motor go on an off all night and day the first day. We requested a new room and they were happy to accommodate us. Hotel seemed new, it was clean, re-assigned room very quiet, breakfast and hotel reception was great. Would happily stay again, just not near elevators/control room.

The Staff is incredible. The rooms are clean, quiet, and relaxing. I have taken advantage of the pool, but the breakfast is amazing, when I have time for it. Cook to order omelets are a big hit. Free drinks for happy hour, and the Media Noche sandwich is really good. I also enjoy the sliders, doesn't matter which one you pick. Overall, this is my first choice when I stay in Palmdale. If you work for the Big 3, stay here.

Google
We spent a weekend here for a family gathering. My kids enjoyed the gym and the indoor pool. The complimentary breakfast was a huge plus, breakfast had lots of options, a big plus is that they also offer 2 free alcoholic drinks per adult guest every evening!

Google
I just want to make this short and brief housekeeping, Celia Guzman not only service the room, but she washed my dishes. I don’t think that’s part of her job as I was prepared to do them when I return back to my room to find they were already done. I feel she went over and beyond thank you so much for your kindness and your thoughtfulness

Google
All staff are friendly and informative of the area. Room was clean and welcoming. Swimming pool was clean and not crowded. The hot tub was ok but the jets did not have the proper installation so the water was a bit wild. All in all it was a pleasant stay and my family and I look forward to staying again soon.

Google
Hotel is a nice place, staff is friendly. Sadly it's not trustworthy. The power went put around 9 am, no big deal except for the emergency generator never came on. No emergency lights in the hallways or stairs. No explanation just 3rd world conditions. For gold and diamond members they don't give any food & beverage credit either nor did they mention it on checkin.

Yelp
It's been a while, time to do an update. Embassy Suites has spacious suite rooms with a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, mini fridge and microwave. The rooms are good, but a bit dated, they could use some new carpet and furnishings. They did put in larger TVs, which is nice. I have been unlucky with poor shower water pressure on the last few visits. The elevators are very slow. The highlight is the free, made to order breakfast. Omelets, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, waffles...etc. It can't be beat. Second highlight is the bar. The bartenders, especially Brie, are great. You get a couple free drinks each night plus snacks. The snacks have gone downhill in the last few years. Food at the bar is excellent, especially the steaks. The housekeeping is excellent, as are the front desk and kitchen staff. Still my go to hotel in Palmdale.

Yelp
Stayed here twice for work. Super convenient location in this area for getting around. The first time we had a lot of hassle getting the room charges getting properly paid on the correct card. The second stay we didn't have that particular problem, but their system was running noticeably slow and it crashed while swiping my card. The entry/lobby really does not match the typical Embassy Suites - it's clearly intended to feel much more upscale. It's a very open concept space that leads over to the bar/breakfast area. There's lots of tables and room to socialize or work (which we saw many people doing). There is a happy hour every day with some complimentary snacks and drinks. Nothing crazy but it stands out to me. Many hotels brands/chains are cutting perks and amenities like these, so it was nice to see a hotel at least trying to earn some loyalty. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a well equipped and functional bathroom. The elevators were oddly slow and the wifi was not the best. Hilton is not my preferred hotel chain, but I would stay here again for sure.

Yelp
Amazing place to relax and unwind! The staff is friendly! This hotel is located near many places to shop! You can actually walk to many places to shop! The views are amazing! The bed was comfortable! Great place!

Yelp
Wonderful venue and amazing staff! We hosted a private party here and everything was flawless. We had a lot to prepare for prior to guests arriving and the staff were helpful while we ran around gettin it done. Projector screen is provided. We brought our own projector. We used the entire space which held 65 comfortably as we needed the front space open for performances. They didn't allow us to take left over entrees home which I felt since we paid for them in advance they should let us take any food left over. Maybe rules and regulations can adapt in the future. We looked at a few venue spaces in the area and this was the most convenient. There's two entrances to the venue a courtyard area which is right next to the parking lot. Easy access when unloading/loading decorations and gear for your event. The other is through the main lobby next to the bar and restaurant. Nice space for guests to line up for guest book. The restrooms are on the far opposite side of the lobby next to the registration desk. Free parking.

Yelp
Some places loyalty and diamond status this I one of those places. When I come I stay either 7 or 14 days. This stay was 14 days. I misplaced my voucher and learned that its $20 to replace. Sticker shock but it is printed on the card. Housekeeping came and they are good. They clean everything and few times some things I wanted were even thrown away. I probably needed to request my sheets be changed because that didn't happen on its own after the first week. The soap to wash my hands wasn't replaced even after I had completely used it up. I figure this may be part of their savings plan. No late checkout available at this location. May be time to try another hotel, location or brand when I fly out.

Yelp
These ladies are amazing. Keep them on staff and happy!!!! Attentive and on-game, you will never be disappointed when these two are in control. Embassy stay smart and hold on to these two ‍

Yelp
Unpleasant experience. From check in to check out it was not great. Understaffed and rude. Check in took a while many people in line waiting. While staying there the room had issues like a wonky lock, broken closet shelf, one cup to make coffee when the room was for 6 individuals (4 adults and 2 babies), not enough luggage carts, room key cards not working to enter the indoor pool, hot smelly walkways ( and we were on the 6th floor), need I say more... last but not least there was an odd leaking area in the shower where possibly the old shower head was located before a renovation. The pictures don't lie ... begs the question as to whom is looking into these issues...

Yelp
This is not a bad choice. We stayed one night recently when our normal favorite was full. It's a solid choice if not stellar. Pros: Huge rooms, lots of parking (paid), they give each room occupant a ticket for a very nice breakfast and 2 drinks in the evening, bathroom shower pressure is amazing and the Zero product line is nice. Nice but uninspired interior, feels upscale late 80s/early 90s, I'm not sure intentionally. Housekeeping was very sweet (brought extra blankets) and the very quiet appliances (A/C and fridge) were nice. This is a very good location for the Antelope Valley, very centrally located. The pool area is very nice, although we didn't try it out. Cons: Paid parking, higher deposit than normal and you have to sign a very extensive form about extra charges. We lived in Palmdale for several years and this is a fairly new hotel, but just seemed a little scuffed up already (stains on carpeting, scuffed furniture). The decor is ho-hum and really has an older vibe. The pull out bed is tragically bad (i.e. I had to see the chiropractor the next morning), also extra blankets are not in the room for the pull out bed and the pillow had no pillow case. Housekeeping brought the blankets but it took a long time (like hours). I wound up putting a towel over the pillow in order to sleep on it.

Yelp
This was the strangest embassy suite I've been in was this another hotel? No see thru elevator couldn't see the floors all the way up just a little off putting. But the breakfast was delightful the workers were very nice so overall you still get 5 stars thank you

Yelp
We were invited to a graduation party here. We walked in with no greeting. I walked to the front desk and told her we were there for a party and she looked so unsure and confused. Then something clicked and she just pointed to the direction where the banquet hall is. Set up was nice. They had an appetizer table which they served crackers, cheese & fruit. We were mingling in the reception area and my daughter saw one of the servers go over at the appetizer table, trying to be discrete and she served herself for some grapes. Yikes. Working on the job in front of guests is not professional. Dinner was finally served and the food here was just your typical banquet, hotel food. I thought it was too salty. You had to flag down servers for a cup of coffee after dinner. They weren't going around at the same time serving coffee. Location is ok. There are stores around it. Not much. I would only stay here if you're traveling and looking for a night to stay. Any longer than that, there isn't really much out in the AV.

Yelp
Very Positive stay at this Professionally Run Hotel. The Entire Staff provided Excellent Service. Rooms are Quality Suites with 2 Plasma televisions, a refrigerator and Microwave. The Sofa is about 8 feet long and large enough to nap on! Full Breakfast included with cooked to order omeletttes, and every night there are 2 hours of free well drinks & snacks. I Look Forward to staying again! Highly Recommend!!

Yelp
We had a great stay at Embassy in Palmdale. Very accommodating and very nice room! Definitely recommend to anyone out in that area for softball tournaments!

Monae B.

Yelp
They are highly rude to African American people. The front desk agent which is a guy harassed a room full of 7 years olds 4 at that all night. 2 adults in room and we could even sing happy birthday

Yelp
The property is beautiful, the hotel staff is phenomenal, and the food is delicious. If you don't have dinner plans, you can't go wrong at the bar and restaurant. Also, it's a great location. Restaurants and shopping are minutes away. You gotta try the Kobe burger and Bread Pudding.

Yelp
Hidden camera in the mirror I booked a single night around the holidays. I was on the bed and noticed a green light shining from INSIDE the mirror. I thought at first it was a reflection of a light in the room. Upon closer inspection it was clear there was nothing in the room that had a green light and there were no wires coming from the mirror. The way the sun hit the mirror it was clearly something IN the mirror. I brought it to the front desk. I was checking out. They said they'd get back to me. They did not. I called to follow up and they told me there's was nothing there despite the pictures I showed.

Yelp
We had a great experience we were visiting from San Diego to see my father at the hospital across the way. We had an easy check in, our rooms were clean and ready. The check in staff was very friendly and professional. For breakfast it was a great experience the omelet bar was the best, all the food is put out fresh and they do an amazing job keeping the area clean and with a LOT of patience!! There was a softball team running around unattended little ones (whom should have been accompanied by their parents, shame on the parents) but the hostess and hospitality specialist were so helpful to all and kind. Great work!!

Jay D.

Yelp
This was a decent hotel. Not a usual embassy suites no atrium. Seemed more like another hilton brand hotel turned to embassy suites. Probably the best hotel in Palmdale area.

Yelp
Visiting a friend in town from out of the country and not sure about any choices in Palmdale we settled on Embassy suites. Three old friends, for a girls night, shared a two bedroom queen with a pull out couch. The room was a good size the bathroom nice and big with two entries and the wet bar with microwave and refrigerator were handy. PROS: Indoor pool and hot tub open til 11 Full hot breakfast (omelet bar, yogurt bar and waffle bar as well as fresh cut melon) Free parking Spacious room with separate sitting area Free WiFi Two free happy hour drinks from 4-7 CONS: Mediocre pull out bed (removed one half star for this) Hallway carpet dirty/dusty ONLY 4 channels on TV NO streaming/sign-in viewing options (removed one half star for this)

Yelp
1 person working at check in, long line, over 15-20 minute wait to get keys and access to room. When I enter the room, see pic- nothing is ready. It's so late that I cannot deal with no one at the front desk to request a new room. Do not stay here... I drove by a lot of hotels to get here... surely one of them is staffed and has rooms ready.

T H.

Yelp
Very disappointed in this Embassy Suites. Where to begin? First, Hilton touted the ability to "choose your room" and that after online check-in, a "digital key would be sent" at the appropriate time. Do not waste your time. I chose a room close to the elevators as my sister walks with a cane. After not receiving a digital key, I went to the registration desk, only to find out that the room I had chosen had been given away, and the only rooms available were at the far end of the halls. Strike one. Next, the website states that there is an onsite restaurant. Sort of. A bar and grill that opens at 5:00 pm. We ordered room service (after first having to call for a room-service menu). Strike two. One hamburger with fries, a chicken sandwich with fries, and an order of wings. These were delivered without salt, pepper, ketchup, or the side of dressing specifically ordered. The fries were spicy hot, so do not give these to your three year-old without first testing. By the time we received the condiments, the food was cold. $61 worth of garbage. In addition, the furniture is placed in such a way, that one chair cannot be pulled out from the table (see the photo). Strike three. This hotel appears to have been something other than an Embassy Suites in a previous life. It does not have the central atrium one comes to expect with an Embassy Suites. While this hotel backs up to the 14 Freeway, it is in the middle of nowhere, as there are absolutely no restaurants or shops nearby. After going out to the engagement for which we traveled to Palmdale, we returned to the hotel after 11:00 pm. Cars were parked on both sides of the entrance, so I needed to negotiate through this in order to drop my sister as close to the front door as possible. I do not know why these cars were parked there, as there were plenty of spaces in the parking lot, and there was no one in line for the registration desk at that hour. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel as there are probably others in town, that can provide this "level of service" for a lot less money.

Yelp
Booked a room for February 14,2025 on October 14,2024 for a wedding reception. This booking was accidentally booked through Booking.com. Bride and groom changed venue to Ventura 2 weeks later. We called to cancel- hotel said no. We asked if we could change the February 14 date to another date-hotel said no. Tried numerous times calling booking.com and hotel stating 4 months away from reservation but neither hotel nor booking, com would budge about refund, change of date or anything. Reservation was set in stone absolute no refund. Think of it, Palmdale ( not a very popular destination) not willing to offer any resolve. WARNING: don't book through Booking.com for a better deal. It doesn't happen! Embassy Suites should be embarrassed and shame on that Palmdale location and their management.rated one star just for posting only.

Yelp
Big building out side is good lobby good breakfast is good but elevator is dirty when you walk into the room it's roomy and good size stains on carpet are everywhere torn up filthy leather couches you get disgusted by looking at them why in the room i have no clue now it's matres time you can hear the spring noise when you touch the matres also not comfortable to sleep on for $167.00 night is to much is don't recommend this one to anyone

Yelp
Staff was very warm and welcoming. I was concerned about cleanliness based on some reviews but we were very happy with the status of our room. We would stay again if in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
This hotel is not like the other embassy suites. It was indescribably dirty in my room. Not like not vacuumed dirty, but like to it's core freaking dirty. There was an actual Cheeto looking baby handprint on the couch along with some gross looking wet stains. Lamps were super stained. My bed even had a stain on the comforter. The front desk was nice and the breakfast was great. But beds were so u comfortable and it was very loud. Bathroom made a strange noise every 10 minutes. Definitely would not stay here again, especially with the Covid and seeing how dirty it is.

Wilver W.

Yelp
Terrible experience at this location where they did not have the 3bd suite I paid for ready for us, we waited over an hour after check in time at 3pm. They tried to give me a worse room without any compensation. GM Ramy Ammar was rude and refused to give my money back. Essentially stole $400 from me. Unreal!

Yelp
I come to the Antelope Valley and Palmdale every year-- typically I've stayed at the residence inn-- but now I've found my new go to. Amazing property with what I would call an Embassy suites lite. This is not your typical Embassy- a bit smaller in scale but with the same amenities. This is clearly THE hotel of the AV and I wish I would have stayed here prior. Rooms are kept well and the housekeeping is making up the room nicely every day. It also helped that the hotel was relatively quiet during a busy weekend, essential since I love getting my rest. There is a happy hour from 5-7:30 every day where you can have complimentary beer or wine. The embassy suite complimentary breakfasts are also are also excellent- I've had my fair share of nicely made omelettes while I've been here on this stay. Room service is also available, which makes this property probably the only full service in the antelope valley. We got a room on the 7th floor and though some that may live here find the view the norm-- I love the backdrop of Palmdale against the high desert mountains, great stuff. LA is accessible via the 14, or you can take the Metrolink into the city as I've done a couple times- roughly 2 hours by train (with all stops.). It's about an hour, hour ten to reach LA limits from Palmdale.

Yelp
We were surprised when we could not locate our room number. It was not listed on the sign at the elevator. Used hall phone to contact front desk, and we were directed to far end of hallway. The carpet was stained and very dirty in some hall areas. Got to our room and found it to be VERY small. Two queen beds, a small TV on a table, no luggage stand, no chair. Bathroom was old, but adequate. The room appeared quite clean, and we decided to stay. We called front desk numerous times before someone finally answered. We requested a wake up call for next morning, but never got the call. The breakfast was OK, but really not worth the effort. The one person that we want to recognize is Dulce in the breakfast room. She was most helpful and gracious. Having stayed at other Embassy Suites previously, we had higher expectations. This is one we will never recommend or return. ,

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would likely recommend this business to others. Every staff member I encountered were delightful and eager to help, most specially the in-site breakfast restaurant team. They were very accommodating, tending to our needs. My boyfriend is lactose intolerance, Dulce deserves a recognition for going above and beyond for making sure that our wellness and health comes first. So when in Palmdale, this is the perfect place to stay.

Yelp
Pretty disappointing stay. Old building and needs repair. Service lines weren't answered including front desk. Phones in rooms didn't work, no regular maid service and had to walk down to front desk to request towels.

Mimi M.

Yelp
Clean rooms indoor pool. Staff are amazing complimentary drinks and full breakfast. Definitely coming back!!!

Amber H.

Yelp
One of the cleanest hotel we have been to. Pros: - Friendly staffs - Spacious room - Great complimentary breakfast: they have BYO omelette, egg, fruits, yogurts, waffles, bread, nuts, patries, milk, juices, bacons, sausages, ect. - Clean pool Cons: - 3/4 of their treadmill + elliptical was out of service - No towel at the pool - Someone got into our car. They took some documents and the front desk was very empathetic when we told him about the news. It such a bummer and could be another point or two deductions but we didnt lost anything valuable so i guess.

Marilou J.

Yelp
We will stay here again. Very clean, staff very nice at reception desk. Complimentary breakfast omelettes made to order, potatoes, bacon or sausage. There are also numerous other breakfast items. We want to thank Dulce and Juan in dining area. Dulce was always attentive, making sure you have what you needed. Juan was the cook. They both greeted you with a smile, very nice and professional. Rooms were very clean. Numerous stores, resturaunts, Hospital and Antelope Valley Mall close by. Location of hotel quiet.

Yelp
I checked in an hour early upon checking my room it was filthy woman's hair on bedding finger prints dust smelt really dirty! I asked for maid within first ten minutes no luck, I left before my original check in time at 4. Upon asking for a refund do to lack of cleanliness especially during covid I am still awaiting to hear back from manager. I did give them almost an hour to send a housekeeper with no luck. Please during covid this is not the place to stay, be careful.

Yelp
Happy with my experience here. My room was not ready, but they gave us two king bed suites with the second room not charged. Thank you very much!

Yelp
Was so excited to have reserved this hotel knowing it's newer and one of the nicer Embassys. It was sorta convenient to Six Flags but not really. More heading out for us but wanted a nice place to stay for one of our last destinations on our road trip. Wished we could've stayed longer. Hit here late at night because took us forever you get here from SF. And next day plans were at the park until night. We got to try their breakfast twice though so that's a treat. Super nice staff. Stood out to greet morning patrons. Very friendly. Modern furnishings at this hotel. Lol you saw I only got a pic of the sink in our room. Sad but nice sink I thought :). It all was a comfortable experience. Comfortable beds. Cool waterfall wall in the front as you enter. WiFi for once was good and strong here unlike some other Embassys on our trip. Oh worthy to mention was the green juice they specially made each morning. First day I thought it was salsa because it was placed with the hot stuff in front of the omelette station in ice but my husband tried it and it was labeled green juice and wow it was good. Freshly squeezed, felt good drinking it :) Yummy omelette and waffles made to order. All in all, great stay. Wouldn't mind coming back to this location even though a bit out of the way. Was a pleasant stay. A little pricier than some others but it's new and nice.

Yelp
Great hotel. Clean, amazing decor, indoor pool & Jacuzzi, complementary drinks during happy hour, great bartender lady, ok front desk stuffs, free continental hot breakfast & racist breakfast attendant Kevin :) I was there with my kids & wife. Kevin almost ran towards us like we're intruders & trying to freeload 'his' food. And he straight up asked us what's our room no. I'd understand if it's their standard procedure to harass guests like this as soon as they get inside the breakfast area, but after observing during our breakfast, we saw it was only us & few other African American families. Not a single of my review is based on racial abuse, cuz this type of experience is nothing new to me, but completely unexpected from a great hotel/company like Embassy Suites/Hilton. Even if he felt like my family & I are freeloaders who'd hog down all the foods over there, still he should've greeted us & politely ask our room no. Definitely not in the middle of the breakfast area & not in front of other guests. This could've been a 5 star experience for my & my family, but left a sour taste in our mouth. Thank All mighty we were there for one night only & we were leaving after the breakfast. It'd be hard to forget Kevin & his fine 'hospitality'. I hope, Hilton management will look into this & train there employees as well

Yelp
Oh give me a home Where I can stay a few nights Where the stars shine bright In the sky Home, home, on the 14 Where the resturants In the Antelope Valley Embassy suites, and how sweet they are. This venue is perfect for large groups, meetings, receptions, ect. Centerally located in Palmdale with plenty of shopping, dinning, coffee nearby. Each room is a mini suite offering seperate sleeping quarters, entertaining area, couch with pull out bed, little work table and a wet bar area with microwave, mini fridge. A bathroom with 2 seperate doors and a king sized shower big enough for two and wi-fi. Ahhh, the important things in life. The king size bed is soft as a cloud in the sky, accompanyied by 4 pillows. I could of just slept all day. There is also a 2 queen room too. The bathroom was awesome offering crabtree and Evelyn toiletries, soaps and Conair blow dryer. The towels however were horrible. They offer a daily breakfast from 6am till 9am weekdays and till 10:00am on weekends. Its complete with self serve fruits, cereal, yougert, breads. Hot itemd lije eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles snd short order chef cookin up omlettes, breakfast burritos, french toast, ect. Beverage bar with coffee, milk, juice and soda. The nightly managers social hour with appetizers and drinks was a epic fail to me. One bartender was managing the super long line for drinks on her own. Which makes for long wait times. They disconnect the self serve soda machine in the breakfast area, so you have no choice but to stand in line. Prices are kind of pricey, unless you have a group rate. About $165 or so a night, but that includes free breakfast. If you have a block of rooms reserved at a group rate it makes the wallet feel better. A okay place, clean to stay Review #466

Yelp
Another business trip brought me to Antelope Valley. I picked this place to stay at for a week and I loved it! This one is not like any other Embassy Suite. Your typical Embassy Suite would have an open atrium with rooms along the four walls. This one, is like a regular hotel with rooms on both sides of a long hallway. The hotel is relatively new, just under two years old. I received a room on the 6th floor with complimentary wireless internet access (for being HHonors Silver). The rooms are sleek and modern. There is a queen sized bed, two LCD tvs, pull-out couch in the living room, bathroom with two entrances, two closets and the kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, and dining table. Like all Embassy Suites, there is complimentary breakfast with cooked-to-order foods and breakfast pastries from 6-9am. The cook recognized me after the first day and greeted me every other day. I asked for a tomato and jalapeno quesadilla one day and to my surprise, he made it! I thought since it wasn't really a breakfast food, I would be denied. Another plus is their manager's reception from 5:30-7:30pm. Other features include fitness room, indoor pool, indoor hot tub, cable television with NFL Network, 5 ESPN channels, Food Network, E!, MTV & more, cafe, restaurant, and patio. The only negatives I have is that you have to drive through Lowe's parking lot to get here. Also, the elevator was extremely slow! Add at least 3 minutes of cushion time just for the elevator ride.

Yelp
Stayed here during some home renovations. Enjoyed the quiet relaxing stay. We paid the extra $$ for sweeten your stay and it was worth it.

Yelp
Great appearance. Questionable stay. Five star breakfast. Two star room. One star bar service. Stayed the whole weekend at this location. I travel often and have gotten used to different hotel chains. One thing I noticed right away is that almost all Hilton owned hotels have a great looking lobby and decent sized rooms. This place is just that. Well designed layout of the entire hotel. Restaurant is in close proximity to the lobby, pool (indoors), front desk, and bar. ***** 5 Stars Breakfast & Restaurant There is no room to complain here!! Made to order omelettes were fast and great. They offer more than the typical free breakfast. Hot foods: bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs, oatmeal, and make your own waffles Cold foods: cereals, baked items, fruits, yogurt All drinks available: coffee, juice, milk, teas, soda Dinner was also great!! ** 2 Stars Room I would love to give this place extra stars for the room size, amount of beds for the price, and room layout. However, the quality of their mattresses and pillows made for an uneasy nights rest. Pillows have zero support. Your hand will push right through the pillow if you lean on it. Even using two pillows won't help. The sheets felt tough and starchy. The mattress has no softness. I usually prefer a firm mattress, but this was neither firm nor soft. It was borderline springy. The carpets in the rooms also looked like they haven't been replaced in a few decades. I don't mind hotel carpeting usually, but this carpet looks highly trafficked and like it could use an overall deep cleaning. * 1 Star Bar Area This bar experience was VERY DISAPPOINTING. It made our stay so negative that I would prefer never to come back. The layout and furniture in the bar, which connects directly to the lobby seating, was great. The bartender was just not kind, at all. Our group stayed here with a block of rooms because we travel often together. After a late night of being out, we came back to just sit together and catch up on the days events. None of the rooms are large enough to accommodate a group more than 6 people. Naturally, we meet downstairs for the adults to regroup. This is the only area with open seating in the whole hotel. There's a large table that can seat 8+ people that we occupied. The bartender, within 20 minutes of sitting, walks directly to our table to angrily tell us that we have to leave her area and go back to our rooms. She complained that this is her area and she must clean it all. Mind you, a group of 15 people were also seated close by and eating pizza and having drinks because they just arrived too. She didn't say anything to them. ‍ After demanding we get out of "her area", she returns to her two customers sitting at her bar and very loudly announces how mad she is for us to be there. We moved onto the lobby chairs for a little. She then continues for another 20-40 minutes discussing our group with these two guests. It was bizarre. Our group was sitting with no outside food, we had a few cans of soda, water, and a 12 pack of beer cans. However, it was already passed 10pm. The restaurant was closed. The bar was getting close to closing. It was 40 degrees outside. And we had no children. No disruption at all. We weren't drunk or loud. Just talking amongst ourselves. The night before we enjoyed their complimentary drinks for adults and already experienced her dry and, to be honest, mean demeanor. You couldn't crack a joke with this lady or make her smile, even with the $20 tip I put in her glass jar. When someone in front of me joked with her she told him that she has no problem pouring his beer right down the drain. Seriously!!! So we were not surprised. We also heard her yell at three young boys who walked by the bar towards the restaurant. They must have been looking for their parents, but were startled when she said "Hey! No running around here!". Though they weren't running. Rude. All together, this place really is for a hotel guest that wants a room and free breakfast. They don't want to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, or memorable (for the right reasons). So if you are traveling in and out with no downtime and don't mind a semi-springy mattress with unsupportive pillows, it will work. If you are traveling for leisure and enjoyment, I wouldn't prefer this spot.

Yelp
1st off when I 1st saw this hotel and the reviews..very HIGH star rating. I was exciting to stay here; Yet it was like a motel 6 with a sink, fridge, mircowave with rachetness included. Elevator carpet very stained and dirty, same with the sofa and carpet in the room very stained and DIRTY. NOT only that but the room we orginally requested was "unavailable" we were told due to 3parties booking of the rooms. YET NO ONE from hotel bothered to call us ahead of time to inform us of this. Overall very disappointing...room service ends at 10pm which I don't understand. P.S. as much ass you pay you would think the walls would be a little thicker.

Yelp
I love staying here. It is like being in a 1 bedroom apartment with a nice living room area and bedroom. They have the best breakfast with eggs anyway you want them cooked or a delicious omelets. They have a happy hour evening reception with 2 free drinks and snacks. The staff is really friendly, helpful and nice.

Yelp
This hotel from been one of the best a few years ago now it's on the bottom of my list. The staff very rude, don't answer calls, reception area w no staff for long time, the elevator full of food on the floor. I got a knock at my door to clean it after 5pm. The waiter was amazing. The only person in my whole stay. No return

Yelp
First the sticker on the door indicated sanitized but there was a half used shampoo bottle and sticky residue in splotches on the desk. Every elevator smells like Marijuana, nobody would put up with cigarette smells but this is even worse and nobody seems to care. Most importantly, I am here on business, my child had a zoom school meeting and I asked for a late checkout, they told me to ask the morning of but "it shouldn't be a problem" that morning when I asked they said no...they are fully booked....ummmmm on a Monday? During COVID? In Palmdale? With a nearly empty parking lot? Way to look out for parents and kids during these trying times Hilton....we live 5 hours from here so we have to sit outside a starbucks in our car so she can take her class. Would have been a 15 minute late checkout....

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. The rooms were clean, breakfast was fantastic with made to order omelettes, a full breakfast buffet, waffles, excellent coffee, pastries, bagels, english muffins, fruits, and more. Dulche and Gilberto were so friendly and nice and made us feel like family. It's important the Hilton company know they have 2 top notch workers that go beyond for their customers. We look forward to seeing them every morning. The pool was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, shower was nice with good quality shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers. I forgot some items flying in such as a travel kit, and they sent me supplies within 10 minutes free of charge to my room. This one is a winner. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I will not be patronizing this location until they get a new general manager, because Ron Carter does not know anything about customer service. He is the rudest manager I've ever encountered at any of the embassy suites location. I had to call customer service to have my issue taken care of because he did not care to return my call or email. And when I went in to speak with him the other manager mentioned to Ron that he had explained my situation to him. So he knew of the issue and just didn't wanna deal with it, therefore no call or email back. He was rude and obviously didn't know how to manage this establishment. Please hire a manger who knows what they are doing. Even the staff complains to guests that they don't liKe working with this idiot and now I see why.

Yelp
The room was clean and tidy. Living room is spacious with good lighting. Great value for money. Could be skittle pricey but worth the extra bucks. I am making this my go to hotel anytime in the antelope valley. Super satisfied Second check in - I checked in online this time and got the room card from the reaction no questions asked about id or credit card. I like the online check in thing this is super fast. The room was clean and tidy. Definitely my pit stop when I am around in Lancaster or Palmdale.
