Good 2-4-1 happy hour from 3-7pm. Good patios all the way around the building, especially upstairs. For anyone who bikes take the gulch greenway to 12th south. Hit the new bike lanes on 12th south from the Gulch. Easy to chain up out front.

Nice ambiance! We loved it. It just remembers me those ski slopes I went in Colorado. Food was great, too. We got hamburgers. It comes with fries. Fries were so freshly fried. Burger was really great too! People were friendly as well. We really enjoyed!!

Google
Well deserved 5 stars for the two things I tried. Traveling cross country I decided to take a lunch break in Nashville. Having visited the area before I knew they had a good food scene so I googled “best lobster roll in Nashville” and Embers came up. The lobster roll was out of this world and they let you add a 2nd one for only 5.00! It was overloaded with lobster and not over dressed with to much Mayo, celery etc. The fries really stole the show as well, hand cut and fried to crispy perfection. I had to continue my cross country drive or I would have tried their stellar bourbon collection but the water was on point. Pictures are worth a 1000 words, don’t sleep on this gem. I’ll be traveling in 1k miles back across the states soon and will def make another stop.

Google
The Embers Ski Lodge was a welcome sight in Nashville's Green Hills area. So many places were open and busy, that I had to find an alternative. So look no further than Embers. It shares a parking lot with MafiaOza's Pizzeria. The place is nothing facing, but the food and service were both great. Upper deck balcony area to provide seating inside and out. The Sunday Two for one drinks special is a nice weekend bonus.

Google
One of my favorite bars in Nashville. The atmosphere is awesome. The bartenders are friendly and funny. The whiskey selection is UNPARALLELED. Also, this is a little outside the tourism sphere so it has a very local vibe.

Google
Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!! These guys rocked it tonight. It was slammed because of Nashville Burger Week and they never missed a beat. The service was outstanding and the the burger was amazing! The lobster roll was awesome!!!

Katie

Google
probably the only bar in Nashville that isn’t overpriced, overcrowded and snobby. I love the people who work here and the atmosphere they created. 10/10 place

Google
Had a private event here and it was FANTASTIC! Dylan was so helpful and professional along with all of the staff. Food was great, atmosphere was spot on. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Yelp
This joint is a great causal spot to grab some good food & drinks! It is located in the heart of 12 South neighborhood. The staff is really chill & friendly. They do not have table servers so to have to go to the bar to place your order. Really not a big deal bc the service is quick. Hands down best Coconut Shrimp I have ever had! Also, great burger too! Another bonus is there is plenty to do around n there the area. So start here or end here but whatever you do... DO NOT pass on this gem! The decor is Ski Lodge Theme so super cozy! Only downside is parking in the area limited but there is limited parking in front if you are a customer. Enjoy

Kathryn H.

Yelp
Cool space, nice staff! We ordered extra sauce and paid for it and it didn't come out, asked about it, and still never got it but all in all it was good

Bren H.

Yelp
Vibes were good! Come during happy hour which is every weekday from 3 to 7 get bogo beer (if same beer purchased). Lots of people in beanies and vests. Good food and cool bartenders (shoutout to Sam). Would return especially on a Friday after work! They even have a few board games

Tarek H.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. Been coming here for a few years now. All the staff is really awesome and nice, The alcohol, well it's alcohol, hard to fuck that up. But the Food, is AMAZING, they have killer fries, which constantly fucks with my diet! And the cheese sandwich they have, it's ORGASMIC! and the other stuff on the menu is great too. I think this has been and will be in my favorite top 3 spots in town.

Walker R.

Yelp
Amazing place! My friend Kelly told me about this place because she adores it and loves to bring her own tune there on weekdays! Great bar.

Allyssa N.

Yelp
They have a great patio to get a casual drink. Best happy hour in the city with 2 for 1 everyday!

Emily R.

Yelp
The vibes and atmosphere at this establishment are unmatched. It's the perfect local bar to grab a drink and hangout. The upstairs outdoor patio is a great way to be outside when the weather is nice but it's also heated in the winter. I've had the burger and it was awesome. They have 2 for 1 drafts EVERY DAY from 3-7pm! Their happy hour is the best I've found in Nashville. It's usually pretty busy here which is always a good sign, but might need to wait out for a table given its a spot that people come to stay. The only thing that is hard to shake is that the bathroom only has 1 stall. Which kind sucks given the place is always so busy. Overall, a great local spot in 12 south that is guaranteed to meet your expectations no matter if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, great deals, good drinks, and excellent food!

Doug G.

Yelp
While I can't speak to the food, I can speak to the vibe and the booze...which are the most important things anyway! Embers Ski Lodge is a wood-filled, hipster/local-vibed, rustic, yet industrial restaurant and bar that sits in the heart of 12 South. They are two story with a decently sized indoor space that features the large bar, seating with hightops and booths and a game area. Upstairs is all seating with a few high tops and stools lining the edge overlooking the busy streets below. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and were able to catch their 2-4-1 happy hour specials on beers. So naturally we all loaded up as many Montucky's and High Noon's as possible while we bellied up to the railing and people watched! It was a pretty solid afternoon! Service at the bar was solid and pricing wasn't terrible, especially with the happy hour running. Really the only downfall, which is trivial was the single stall restroom...for a place of this size, there was a constant wait to use the single restroom downstairs. Overall, Embers is a cool spot that we will certainly be back to...and I think we owe it to ourselves to scoop up some food along with our booze next time!

Autumn J.

Yelp
A Local favorite!!! Happy hour deals are awesome and vibes are always very chill. Fries are bomb and mules are solid

Sue C.

Yelp
I can only comment on the bar service as we didn't eat here. We had reservations at Urban Grub and wanted a cocktail prior to walking over. Have to say, we were definitely impressed. The ski lodge theme is a bit strange as it's Nashville but the place is nicely decorated and clean. The bartenders were super nice and served us quickly. A lot of beers on tap and many drink options, especially at happy hour! A great crowd from all walks of life, including oldies like us. Loved the hops lights over the bar. The upstairs balcony is really cool and you can see most of 12 South. Next time we're in town we'll be trying the food as the burgers looked freaking awesome.

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
Great local neighborhood bar with an upstairs balcony area that overlooks the 12 south area. A bit odd of a ski lodge theme considering we're in the South, but nevertheless a fun local hangout spot! When we went a week ago, they were running on a limited food menu and didn't have any burgers, only appetizers. But still an overall great experience. Cali Style Fries- super good with the caramelized onions, cheese and animal sauce Queso - ask for extra chips cuz the quest is delicious. Brussel sprouts - a must order! Service: Friendly and unpretentious.

Troy G.

Yelp
A good enough restaurant. Look up the menu beforehand and if you like what you see, you'll probably be happy. Was disappointed by the lack of a cocktail menu despite having a full bar. Food was good, but my friend and I's food came out at very different times (different tickets, but ordered at similar times). A good place for a casual hangout, but nothing too special

Kelly N.

Yelp
Came here just for drinks and it was a nice and chill vibes. Felt like a mini getaway with the cabin vibes. Tap beer was poured out well. Good service as it was slow when I visited.

Ashley I.

Yelp
Came for drinks, but saw the burger and had to try it. We got the Cali and it was amazing!! Craving another one already. The fries were so crispy and had nice flake salt on them. I would come back for the burger!!

Maurice W.

Yelp
Service is wonderful. The people in the atmosphere is something unbelievable you cannot get this anywhere else only in Nashville company conversation. Good food come and enjoy yourselves. You will love it.

Papa G.

Yelp
Double patty Mt. Everest Cheeseburger. Embers is a 12 South secret and I dare spill the tea. However, they have the best priced drinks in Nashville and their hand cut fries are the best in the state! I love burgers and have had some of the best. From Bricktops to Char to Hugh Baby's, Embers is in the upper 1% for their food. I'm so glad I live 1/2 a mile away.

Marie L.

Yelp
Great happy hour and French fries! Enjoyed the beautiful weather and games from the rooftop bar!

Lucy O.

Yelp
Nice ambiance! We loved it. It just remembers me those ski slopes I went in Colorado. Food was great, too. We got hamburgers. It comes with fries. Fries were so freshly fried. Burger was really great too! People were friendly as well. We really enjoyed!!

Alicia E.

Yelp
Great local warm and cozy bar in 12 south. The happy hour deals are great and so are the staff! I enjoyed the lobster roll and atmosphere.

Mike M.

Yelp
Honestly, I feel like including "ski lodge" in the Ember's moniker is a bit of an overstatement. My wife and I flew all the way to Nashville from the Swiss alps on a ski tour because we decided we had had enough of the European slopes and wanted to see about the state side powder. Imagine our surprise when we show up to nothing but murals of the slopes we so desired. Feeling a bit miffed after checking all of our ski gear only to find an Australian man serving hard cider in a trendy downtown strip. Feeling... hoodwinked! Service was excellent, crowd was well to do. All in all, a happy accident.

Asia A.

Yelp
What a fun place! I'll come here again for sure. If you live close, this is such a small and cozy place to just come and chill out for a few hours. The rustic decor is beautiful (the lighting, the bark overlay on the walls, and all the fun games available (darts and board games)). Our waiter was AMAZING, and the food was delicious! Our waiter made us feel like he owned the place and we were his very first customers. He was so knowledgeable, so friendly, so down to earth, and incredibly attentive. Our food and drinks were all on point! Out of a party of 8, we were all satisfied with our meals! I had the brussel sprouts which were SO good! They were cut into halves, I believe they were then pan fried, and drizzled with some sort of light dressing. Either way, they were delicious! There were some brussel sprouts haters in my party lol, and after they tried them, they were won over! I also enjoyed the lobster roll which was jam packed with flavorful lobster. Every bite I took, I was pleased with. I also tasted their fries which were perfectly cooked, soft on the inside, and crunchy on the outside. I was very pleased! Lastly, there are a few parking spots right in front of the restaurant if you get lucky, but we ended up having to park a block away on the street. Honestly, it was no big deal, since it was free street parking, and the weather was nice :)

Brad H.

Yelp
Unique interior, great location and good service. Would be even better to visit in the winter when the fireplace is on but all in all a recommended place to visit anytime.

Danielle C.

Yelp
Embers is hands-down THE best bar on 12S. Every one of the staff members is amazing, the drink selection is incredible, the 2-for-1 deals during Happy Hour & on Sundays are unbeatable, the Cali burger is delicious, the new patio that overlooks the street is awesome for people-watching, and the regulars are so friendly and wonderful. It's almost a shame it's getting a great reputation and is so much busier now, but it's easy to see why. PS - the bartenders love when you order shot-skis, tell your friends!

Red C.

Yelp
Hell yeah I luv this place. 4 hours of buy 1 get 1 free beers every day. 10/10 always will be back

Jordan L.

Yelp
Recently moved nearby and was looking for a cozy local place to grab a drink and some snacks. This is definitely a favorite hangout now. Cozy local feel. 2 for 1 drafts during happy hour. And holy cow the coconut shrimp are delish. Upstairs patio seating is fun when the weather is nice and gives a great view over 12 South.

Tony Z.

Yelp
Best bar this side of the Mississippi, half off drinks, burgers. What else you needZZ

Fresh R.

Yelp
Amazing fries. Loved the upstairs patio that looks over 12 S. Super casual place for anytime of the day.

Britney T.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here, and I enjoyed it! Their lobster roll is absolutely amazing and you can add an another for a set price, which makes the perfect meal for two to share! Their fries are out of this world (probably my fav fries in all of Nashville!!). Their jalapeño ranch dipping sauce is also so delicious. They have so many different dipping sauces to choose from. They also have a lovely beer selection. I really loved one of their sours that I had with my meal. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other stuff!

Scott J.

Yelp
Our run group 12 south runners comes there every monday night after our 630pm run. great 2 for 1 beer specials and exceptional staff of people working there. good quality beer and atmosphere.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Came for the great happy hour, stayed for the AMAZING burger and fries! So yummy!!! 10/10

Brian S.

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of visiting this weekend and working with a variety of my constituents, after a hard days work we have all felt the need for a magnificent cocktail and/or beer and we always found ourselves at this great place. The service is impeccable and the environment is ideal I firmly believe that it's not the place that brings itself alive but the people. If you want a great experience in 12 S. great food and amazing cocktails coupled with a very generous happy hour then you have come to the right place here in the grand area of bliss! I give this bar five stars because of their cocktails but mainly because of their people and one specifically his name is Beckham he is not only a genuine down to earth solid individual but a provider of love and that should be felt by all I highly recommend Embers !

Maddie H.

Yelp
Embers Ski Lodge is a Aspen-inspired restaurant/bar in 12 South with fun decor and unique drinks/food. I've been here a few times for drinks and it's always fun. They have drinks specials every day of the week, which I certainly appreciate. Their happy hour goes all week 3 pm-7 pm and its 2 for 1 drafts and bottles and $6 for wine. Also they have "Mule Mondays" which are $5 for different flavored moscow mules--which is my favorite drink so I obviously love Mondays now! I know they also have trivia on Wednesday nights, which I really want to go to sometime. The bartenders are always nice when I go and its a good hangout spot. I've never tried the food but a couple next to us last time ordered the belgian fries which came with all kinds of dipping sauces. I probably wouldn't come here for dinner because its mainly just burgers and sandwiches but their bar snacks look good.

Dan H.

Yelp
The three stars is purely for the service. Visited Embers on a Tuesday afternoon. It is easy to find and has a great outdoor seating area and cool lodge decor. I had read about the food, however, did not try any. Upon walking in, we sat at the bar and were promptly served. We were the only ones there. That is where the service ended. Our bartender never came back to check on us. She stood and conversed with the server who was doing something on her laptop. This could have been a one off encounter and hope others don't feel the same. I would like to come back some time and try the food and see what it is like when it is is busier. UpDate: about one week after posting the words above, I was contacted by a Staff member who said that they would pass along my thoughts and be happy to have me come back. Thank you for the care and attention.

Rachel V.

Yelp
Awesome Happy Hour deals, decent bourbon selection, and the bartenders are great. The lobster roll lived up to the hype, though I did find a little shell in it--chalking that up to a one-off for now, even New England joints occasionally miss a bit. My friend also really enjoyed their burger. Will be back for sure.

Robin B.

Yelp
Our first foray dining out since the restrictions have been lifted this spring. We were craving the lobster rolls at Ember so headed their way. They have outside dining, it didn't appear they were seating inside at this time. You order your drinks and food from a paper menu at the side door and they bring it out to you. Right now they're using disposable tableware to be more sanitary. We had two orders of lobster rolls, which come with their delicious housemade fries and custom dipping sauce. The rolls are the best deal in town if you're a lobster roll lover- buttery toasted roll stuffed full of delicious lobster meat with no filler. It's fun to choose your custom dipping sauce from the list of at least eight varieties. We tried the yum yum and the jalapeño ranch. Lucky for us it was happy hour so draft beers were two for one. We had a small glitch with our order not printing so after a wait we inquired about our order. They were more than apologetic and quickly made it right by us. Love Ember and so glad they survived the pandemic and could satisfy our lobster roll craving!

Kelly M.

Yelp
Second time coming here and they were out of lobster rolls... totally disappointing after we waited for a table only to find out again they were out. Bartender was not friendly at all and had an attitude.

Chris A.

Yelp
Historically speaking, hipsters have never been known for being in touch with their primal, carnal appetites...which is why they are the weaker species, and why I'm here enjoying a Sidecar Ale and something freshly killed. This irony-free zone, for now, is my happy place before the inevitable invasion of waxed-mustache'd, competitive bearders invade. Yeah, that's a thing. OK the food: You had me at 'Loaded Belgian Fries'. The idea of loaded Belgian anything is hilarious...except for that one time the Belgians took over the Congo and committed mass genocide. Other than that I think these fries could be on my Electric-Chair-Last-Meal list. The Chicken wings are exceptional, although I think some more variety in sauces would do. I love to cozy-up to the bar here during off-hours and relax, sinking ever-so-gently into the chair as the next ice-cold gulp warms my chest and calms my tattered mind. I pretend I'm in an Aspen Lodge, thawing out by the fire during a fierce cold-snap, wearing a stupid Cosby sweater. And you should too. That's it, folks. Sidecar, Belgian Fries, Wings. Everything else in life is filler. (Click if ye dare...) http://mpsnashville.com/

Jessica G.

Yelp
Great spot to hang for a drink, but DO NOT eat here!! Way better options on 12 South. We had burgers and I'm pretty sure the meat was bad bad bad. We couldn't even finish them!!

Amber H.

Yelp
I stopped in this little place after shopping on 12th South. I was blown away by the extensive selection of bourbons and the cute little skiing theme this place had to offer. I ordered a "gingerbread old fashioned " and it was served on a quaint little plate, with a gingerbread cookie on the side. It was so good, I could have supper on it for days. The bartender was attentive and kind and I felt right at home in the festive atmosphere. The only downside is if you're not there for bourbon, there's not a lot of variety. The cocktails are a little pricey at $12-$14, but I guess it goes with the territory of being on 12th south. It's definitely not your run of the mill bar, so it's worth the visit. I would definitely recommend to any out of towner or bourbon drinker.

Lorrie W.

Yelp
If you care at all about giving your money to businesses who treat people respectfully and who are nice humans, I recommend that you stay far away from Embers Ski Lodge. We had a terrible and totally unnecessary experience with a rude employee (owner?) who was aggressive and abusive. I am a small business owner myself and if one of my employees spoke to a customer in the way our party was spoken to, they would be fired on the spot. If this "gentleman" was not the owner, he should never be allowed to represent a business and if he IS the owner, i would suggest that he find a line of work that doesn't involve dealing with the public. Take your business and your money elsewhere.

Alexis B.

Yelp
Love this kitschy little bar! I JUST got back from Aspen, so I got a huge kick out of this apres-themed bar! And I can't wait for my friend to Aspen to get her butt to Nashville, so that she can LOL at Embers. It has a picture of snowy slopes on one wall, decals of mountains on the windows of the bar, and hours signs that mimic ski lift schedules. And the cocktails are great! (The cocktail menu changes seasonally.) I had the Apriscotch - a great cocktail (very sweet) made from apricot liquor and scotch. They have 250+ whiskeys. They also have great beers on tap, wines, and food (including brunch)! I'll be back!

Hina Y.

Yelp
A few family members and I went here early Monday evening. When we arrived it wasn't really busy -- maybe half seats filled. It didn't take very long for a server to greet us and get our drink orders. However, when he brought back 2 of the four drinks, we noticed that they both had a fruit fly floating in them. The food was good for bar food, okay overall. The 1/4 lb patty melt was definitely not a 1/4 lb. Service was extremely slow, our server seemed to be the only one working, and each time we tried to tell him something he walked away and didn't turn around (happened maybe 4-5x). If you aren't drinking alcohol, don't expect any good service. As a bar, the selection and atmosphere seemed good. As anything else, in this experience service was poor, problems with bugs, and nothing special

Shawn C.

Yelp
Visited again a couple weeks after my last review. Very disappointed with the lobster rolls. Definitely were not fresh. Lobster probably should have been tossed out.

Chris D.

Yelp
Finally a great burger here in Nashille! Went here not expecting too much, but was pleasantly pleased with my choice. The burger was very very tasty. The fries were really good as well. Service from the gents behind the bar was excellent. They checked I. Multiple times to see if I was doing OK food wise and to check on my beer. I will definitely recommend this spot.

Sean M.

Yelp
We have seen this place for a while on 12s. We decided to give it a try. I was sorely disappointed. We've tried every place on 12s, and this place is Only good for beer. The food was awful. Served on paper plates. The meat on the burger was sour. And there was no table service. Order at the bar. If you wanna drink beer and hang out, prob a cool spot but eat elsewhere. The food isn't Whats in the pics. Don't eat here. As I'm typing this my pregnant wife's in the bathroom sick as a dog. They served old sour meat. I can't believe such progressive care about people type of place would serve such garbage. I had to edit my post because it was that bad and we are that sick. I really hope the manager reaches out. This compensation worthy.

Meg C.

Yelp
Best local watering hole in Nashville. Beckham is the sweetest little gem of a human and makes every experience so pleasant. I highly suggest asking him to tell you jokes Love every staff member here and the food is great!

William S.

Yelp
I have frequented Embers since moving to Nashville a few years ago. The outdoors area is always welcoming of my two Golden Retrievers. All of the staff and bartenders are friendly and accommodating except for the guy with tats down both arms. Of all the dozens of times I have been there, only twice was he behind the bar. Both times he was rude from the moment his mouth opened. I'm not the first person to write a review about his unprofessional behavior. The ownership needs to fire his ugly ass. I will not support this business when he is behind the bar.

Shannon S.

Yelp
They have a nice happy hour here with 2 for 1 and an interesting menu with some unexpected surprises on it. This is a very interesting bar that looks like it is a combination of a ski lodge meets a lumberjack camp. I found my phone service to be very weak in here so they must have a pretty old school thick ceiling and roof so maybe this could even serve as a nuclear bomb shelter. The bartenders here were really friendly and attentive as they made sure to keep my happy hour very happy indeed. There was a nice crowd inside having a good time and then there is also a small patio to the side. This is a really vibrant and interesting area of Nashville and there are several great spots to check out along with the nearby nice park area.

Leslie D.

Yelp
I have been coming for the last year. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is awesome. Happy hour specials are great.

Allison U.

Yelp
Our first trip to Embers, we checked out a set of darts, leaving my husbands ID with the bartender in exchange. When we returned the darts we learned that his ID had been given to another person who had not realized the mistake and left with it. The manager apologized and eventually that other person returned and brought the ID back after about a week. When we when to pick it up we were given a 30 dollar gift card for our trouble. Unfortunately when I went to use the gift card a few weeks ago, I was told it was never activated. The bartender thankfully comped my drinks (about 10 dollars worth) and asked that I email the manager to let him know about the mix up. I did, but never received a response. The bar itself is a nice atmosphere with a large patio and every day 2-4-1 specials. Unfortunately the customer service I received left much to be desired.
