Embracing Uncertainty Therapy and Wellness

My first foray into therapy was with Michelle Bivas at Embracing Uncertainty and I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with her. Michelle was an exceptional listener and provided thoughtful and insightful feedback. She asked me challenging and thought-provoking questions, all while providing a safe space and continually reminding me that I am her priority. As a 34-year-old entering therapy for the first time, it took a bit of effort on my end to feel comfortable with sharing my thoughts and feelings with someone. Michelle gently broke down those barriers and worked with me at my pace, eventually getting me to a point where I shared openly and without hesitation. As a queer person, I was a bit nervous at the thought of jumping into therapy not knowing how a therapist would fully understand my personal experience. Michelle's empathetic nature and background in women's, gender and sexuality studies showed through in her work with me and put me totally at east. I felt seen, heard and cared for in our client-therapist relationship - all worries melted away. I have endless thanks and appreciation for Michelle and the work that she does. I cannot recommend her services enough. For background, Michelle and I can no longer work together as I currently do not live in NJ, where she is licensed. If and when I do move back to NJ, I plan to work with Michelle again.

I've been working with Michelle for about a year now and her work has completely turned my life around. I have seen a handful of other therapists before and none of them have made as much of an impact on my life as she has! Michelle was so meant for this work. She knows exactly how to guide and support you through your struggles and makes you feel so heard, comforted and validated doing so. I was in a really dark place when I started my work with her but she pulled me out of the dark and helped me find so much joy in life again! She is really good at digging deep to get to the root of the topics I bring to therapy and starting the healing process from there. She literally amazes me whenever she gets to the root because there have been so many instances where I never would have connected the dots without her. She is so talented at what she does and I cannot recommend her enough!

I’ve been in and out of therapy with different therapists over the years. I have to say I’ve made the most progress working with Michelle Bivas at Embracing Uncertainty. She has truly helped me grow. Michelle is an excellent communicator, extremely insightful, and flexible in her approach to clients. She genuinely cares about her clients and it shows in how she makes herself available to them. She will work to understand what you’re experiencing and then work with you in establishing goals that meet you where you’re at. If you’re at all nervous or apprehensive about seeking therapy, Michelle will put you at ease and help you to understand the process of therapy so that you can decide if it’s right for you. I wish that I had found her sooner!

I've been working with Michelle Bivas for a few months now and I'm not sure my writing skills can capture what a wonderful therapist and person she is! She creates such a welcoming space where you feel supported and listened to no matter what the topic is. She is very intuitive when it comes to asking questions to dig deeper. She encourages you to take time and space to think or just feel your feelings. She has helped me immensely with reframing some of my perspectives and I am very grateful for that! Very highly recommend her! :)

When I first started, I had a therapist I loved. She was very knowledgeable regarding the issue I was having. Within weeks, she was let go. I tried to get another therapist, but was told it could only be during the day when I worked. Also, I had to keep calling back, instead of getting a return phone call.

I have been working with Erin Scheidle for almost a year now and it has been the best experience of my life. I have never felt so comfortable and relaxed and HEARD. She has helped me through so many struggles and continues to do so every single session. The absolute best and I would recommend her and the practice to any of my friends and/or family!!

So grateful to have found Erin Scheidle and to have been working with her. She is a true gem and is great at what she does. I’ve been in therapy for many years, but this is the first time I’ve felt truly heard and felt compassion for every single one of my problems, no matter how minute. So grateful for her.
