Awesome place to adopt. They make sure to find you a kitty who you will love and love you back. They're very thorough throughout the process to make sure you're a good match for the cat. I got the best floof though. Sorry guys he's taken...

I got my kitten here, and I am so happy with them! The staff was so friendly and patient, and I found my perfect fur-baby. Thanks Kitty Harbor!

The staff here is very knowledgeable and their love and care for these kitties is apparent in their every action and word! I came by to hang out with some kitties and ask a few questions about their foster program. They let me bother them about all sorts of kitty related things and were super nice and pleasant throughout! Awesome people caring for awesome kitties! Highly recommend a visit if you're interested in giving a cat a loving home or if you want to get some coffee and hang out (I believe the cafe there closes at 5pm on weekdays!). Enjoy! Give the kitties some love for me!

I went for information and left with two kittens! You can tell these people truly love what they do and care deeply for their kitties. They let us hang out for two hours until we found the right match. They were so helpful and so informative and no matter how many questions I asked they answered happily. I now have two adorable, loving kittens that fit right in with our family from the moment we got them home. They made sure we were the right fit for them too.

I adopted my Cat, Aries from Kitty Harbor back in 2009 ..At the time he was known as "Cheetoh". This picture was taken the day we adopted him.

Far and beyond what I expected. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment or their staff. Kitty Harbor may seem tucked away by the West Seattle Bridge, but their work transcends the greater Seattle area. If you need assistance with finding your next family member, give their website a look over. Their process of finding the right parent for the pet is longer and more labored than others because they care about the animal and their happiness first over "getting them out." I'm sad their coffee shop closed as it was a nice location by the bike shop. And walk-ins are no longer welcome, but COVID made that the norm so no complaints here. This is a small team with a big heart. Again, I could not recommend another animal rescue/shelter/ally more than these folks. They are a cat only division of the Emerald City Pet Rescue team as a whole. So if you have questions about cats - this is the right place to be.

I am so grateful for getting to meet the folks at Kitty Harbor. I used to live in West Seattle and reside now in Pittsburgh. I adopted two beautiful maine coon brothers and they have become such a bright light in my life. My two boys, Moose and Jack, just had their fourth birthday in November and I am so lucky to have them. Thanks Kitty Harbor for introducing me to most loving cats. I am so grateful!

Great place to find a cat. We found one here many years ago, and we just picked up a new kitten. The folks are friendly, the kitties are cute, better watch the website and get there early when they are available!

Yelp
If you are looking for a healthy cat or kitten lifelong pal, you MUST go speak with Judy from Emerald City Kitty Harbor. Judy is so nice, legit, honest, kind and looking out for everyone's best interests! I promise! I have never had to surrender an animal. Still, Emerald City Pet rescue would be only choice if I found myself in that situation. Emerald City Pet rescue and EC Kitty Harbor has just a few animals for adoption; it is not a packed pet jail. Further, Emerald City rescue facilities, have their own vets in house so any time you adopt an animal from ECPR, you know that animal is healthy. The critiques of the amount of hoops you have to jump thru prior to adopting a dog or cat are accurate. They do that to prevent their adoptees from experiencing the unnecessary stress of continuing to bounce between new owners. Thankfully, unlike other cities in the U.S., we live in Seattle; most to all of our shelters are no-kill! Still, Emerald City pet Rescue and Kitty Harbor, goes way beyond consideration and transparency to both animals and potential adoptive parents.

Yelp
Emerald City Kitty Harbor is a really neat place. This is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter with indoor-only cats and kittens. They also have a coffee stand next door, so it is kind of a "cat cafe" as well. My husband and I are thinking about getting a cat, so we've been here a few times. However, I've never had a cat before, so I'm still getting used to being around them. Kitty Harbor has a lot of animals on-site, but they also have some in off-site foster homes. Their cats usually range in age from young to old, short to long hair, and come in many different colors and patterns. All of the cats I've met here have been socialized and were well-behaved. I really like the staff members here. Everyone has been super nice and very helpful. They always know each cat's history and personality very well. They also don't put any pressure on you, which I appreciate. The whole place is really cute and decorated with fun stuff like cat paintings, signs, and books. The coffee stand also has a cool menu with items like Meow-ca, Cat-puccino, and A-meow-icano. They also have a few sandwiches and pastries. All proceeds from the coffee stand are donated back to the shelter, which is great!

Yelp
They are so rude. Particularly Marnie. I'm new to west Seattle. We got a puppy a couple months back when we moved here and agreed to adopt a small dog when he was potty trained. I reached out and not only was she short, she was rude. The dog I was inquiring about was spayed. I have a 4 1/2 month old puppy who isn't neutered yet because he is young and she cut me off from being able to adopt this dog. She was incredibly rude in telling me that they don't like to adopt out when there are other dogs getting adjusted....I have a great home, work from home, big enclosed yard and I love my dogs like family. I really wanted to support this place but their hearts aren't in it. I also reached out in march about volunteering my time for free. Never heard back.

Yelp
It's a pretty standard coffee shop in terms of their coffee. Nothing too spectacular and amazing, but gets the job done. I do love how all the profits goes to the animals! Since covid is still on the rampage, the cat section is closed off, but the coffee stand is still opened. Check their hours online though, it's changed since covid. Their covid response include one person on the ramp to order your coffee, and they place your order on this seat. Parking is kind of tricky, but I park up the hill in the residential area, and walk down.

Yelp
Quaint lil' cafe by a Pet rescue. Their menus are quiet interesting, and has your common - morning caffeine drinks. However, don't expect names like other places or big chains; rather, expect names like Catpuccino, Clkawtte, and unique names that cat(s) are known for - LOL! Overall, I had the Chai-Shire Latte in a 8oz. cup. It comes with two shots of espresso, and if you like spicy. It is fairly spicy but, delicious! Overall, I am a fan and the two females up front were very helpful/informative. If you are looking for a quick pick me up but walking or near... I recommend checking this place out. They do have a small outdoor sitting area, and has Wi-Fi.

Yelp
We adopted our cats 5yrs ago and they just had their fifth birthday in March. We love our sweet babies soooo much. Thank you Kitty Harbor. Highly recommend!
