I would come here for takeout. My son LOVES Emerald Garden and he convinced me this was the best American Chinese food in Tally. Do your self a favor if you are in Tallahassee. Go get a beer or two at Ology, then pick up takeout here on your way home. My General Tso's chicken was rocking.

This place is very nice for a smaller Chinese restaurant that are usually in a strip mall. The reason that it is so good. I can tell that they use better ingredients and put love into their food. For those of you that are not savvy with American idioms, to say that they put love into their food is quite a compliment. It usually means that they take time they make it almost as if they were going to eat it in their family was going to use also. That says a lot for a Chinese restaurant. There are probably seven full tables, four of them are booths good in the afternoon the sun came in from the outside. The real plants by the front door really make the entrance that you come in. The workers or employees here are very nice. They were so cordial to me, and I must say that I enjoy myself a very much. I only gave it a four-star for atmosphere because of its size and it is a strip mall restaurant otherwise it would have gotten five stars across the board. I'm usually about five stars on all of them. So if I had to pick between service and food or atmosphere I chose atmosphere. Because the employees make you feel at home,smile, and they're very helpful you really feel as if you're in a restaurant that your friend's parents own in your hometown. You feel that good. I would dare to say it's an organic feeling almost. Almost as if I'm already cared for, and I'm part of their family. I actually felt this way when I was here. I have lunch and it was very ample. Also, seasoned perfectly as most can be either too spicy or salty. This establishment has a great balance to it. Dare I say: the Yin balances the Yang. So the chi is quite Because we're in the Northampton, plaza, there is ample parking. They do have or should I say usually have more than enough parking in the front. I had black pepper chicken, sweet and sour chicken with white rice and I believe Lo Mein noodles. I had a chance to brush up on my Chinese as I spoke with staff at the counter. Great people, warm atmosphere and nice prices. I would recommend that in the family for sure, and my friends. And if somebody asked me out there how the food was in the parking lot I would tell them A1 and I usually try the Hot and Sour Soup as a indicator for freshness and more of Chinese food. I WILL come back to try that soup later because the meal I had at lunch was superior to most other local Chinese restaurants in this price bracket. I loved it ....and you will also.

We found a menu in our Airbnb rental. Beef and vegetables, chicken lo mein, and Singapore mei fun were all 2-3 serving in each order. All were delicious! Staff was friendly, food was served promptly.

With family coming in for FAMU's homecoming, everyone wanted Asian food. After searching online and reading the reviews, I placed a large online order with Emerald Garden (Kerry Forest Pkwy). This is now my favorite and ONLY 'To-Go' location. We had several different orders and everything, from the appetizers to the entrees were tasteful, delicious.....AND SO MUCH FOOD!!! In fact, my family members took their leftovers with them. I know for a fact, I will be using this location, even if just for a single order. This location is quite a distance from me, but it is worth the drive

Service was friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. The Singapore noodles are a standout and easily some of the best you’ll find in Tallahassee.

I order some low mein, wontons, and honey chicken from this place. As I was taken bites into my chicken I pulled a long piece of hair out of my mouth!! I then looked into the rest of my chicken and saw more hair!!! When I called them to complain, the "manager" told me the best they could do was offer me a free meal. Never again!!!

Love Emerald Garden. We get their take out monthly as a treat, and it never disappoints. Their veggies are fresh, and the sauces are perfect. Lots of flavor and priced well for the large portion sizes. One dish usually gives me lunch the next day, too.

Bad experience and they tried to overcharge me. I made a mistake and picked up the young lady's phone accidentally. Her response was very rude and she accused me of trying to steal her phone. I will not be returning. Awful customer service and they burnt my food

Roast pork lo mein. Delicious!!! Lo mein is hit or miss for me, so I was sceptical. We LOVED it! Got the combination dinner w pork fried rice and egg roll . Yummy rice too! I'll post a picture next time...will be returning soon! Enough for two!!

I always order and pay online. Food normally ready at time advised. I've had several different dishes. I'm happy with the food.

This is my go to for quick reliable food on this side of town. At this walk in visit, I ordered small shrimp fried rice, small pork lo mein, and pint of wonton soup. Staff was friendly. Store was very clean and well kept. My order was ready within ten minutes. Hot and ready to go. It tasted as expected. Everything was flavorful and hit the savory button. I will be back when I need a quick bite.

Pretty much what you'd expect for Chinese takeout. Nothing overly special but still delicious.

I saw some good reviews so I thought I'd try it out. I ordered several things that totaled 70+ dollars. They told it would take 10 mins but ended up taking 25 mins cause they had to go to Walmart to get some scallops. When I finally got my food my egg rolls were so greasy that I had to wrap a lot of napkins around it to absorb all the grease while ate it. Ewww. When I got home my daughters egg foo young were super greasy too. She didn't want to eat it. When I came to look at it I noticed that whole bottom of the pan was swimming in grease. Lastly I ordered some orange chicken they left out my order. Unfortunately I didn't realize it til I got home 25 mins away. I love food. Just wanted to share this experience for all of you that love food like me.

It's alright. Sometimes is good sometimes you isn't. So I guess depends on their mood.

The service friendly my daughter and I ordered five meals all are hot when I got home and very tasty especially the orange beef because it had real orange in it. Will definitely go back again and again

I enjoyed my lunch here , last night I had dinner here. So I guess I have a new place for Chinese that's close to my job for lunch.

We have not ordered from Emerald Garden for a few years as they went down hill. Well, that has changed! We ordered take out last night and it was fabulous! The sesame shrimp and orange chicken were packed full in large containers. There was a wonderful sauce at the bottom. The fried rice was delicious, moist yellow rice loaded with perfectly cooked vegetables. Not the shriveled peas and carrots, but perfectly cooked broccoli, onions and bamboo shoots. Here is a picture of the leftovers. I would have taken a pic of the dish last night but it looked so good, we just dove in.

Excellent, fast service! The food was fantastic! They also really loaded up the containers and their food was well priced. Will definitely be ordering food from them in the future!

I have been on the search for good Chinese since moving here. The restaurant itself is sketchy but the food was delicious. Everything we got was good. And they deliver if you live close enough.

This is our go-to restaurant for take out Chinese Food. Tried others but this is the best we have found. My favorite is the Beef and Broccoli. The fried rice is just yellow rice though. The Crab Rangoon is a very large portion and taste good. My husband likes the General Tzo Chicken. Give this place a try.

I have eaten here several times but it's been awhile. I am wondering if they are under new management or have a new chef because the food was much better than in times past. Not that I didn't like it before, but it was just A LOT better this time. We got the chicken wings (although a bit over cooked , were big and flavorful), the steam dumplings are far away better than they used to be, the shrimp and broccoli (huge shrimp and large portions), and finally the moo goo gai pan (yum!). All this fed a group of four with tons of leftovers! Whatever they are doing now, they need to keep doing it!

Quick and easy, the price here isn't too bad. We typically spend between $30-40 here for our dinners (we're a family of four) in a variety of items, and always have more than enough to satisfy us for dinner AND have leftovers. My favorite thing on the menu is their chicken lo mein. They also have some really delicious egg rolls, the consistency is crunchy and perfect. Haven't found a think we don't like on this menu yet.

The sweet and sour chicken made me very sick. Can't recommend unless you want a super unhealthy way to lose a few pounds.

I'm so glad they're here in my hood! Very nice and hard working people with consistent Chinese takeout and fast delivery when I seem to need it the most from long late weeks working and not remembering I actually need food. Ha! I usually just have the dumpling soup and steamed chicken, but most of the menu has been sampled at our casa through the years and it's all pretty great when you need something last minute.

Not good food. We ran in because it was close but will not go again. Fast food, not hot and fresh. We were so disappointed and regardless of it's handy location we will drive further for good hot fresh lunch!

Typically, the food is good at this establishment. However my last two visits were disappointing. Specifically asked for spring rolls and was given shrimp egg rolls both times. This was especially concerning since I have a shellfish allergy.

We had Beef with Chinese vegetables and Kung Pao chicken and it was very, very good

We ordered food for take-out on New Year's Eve. We had the Triple Delight and General Tso Chicken along with sweet and sour and egg drop soup. All of the dishes were delicious and large portions. We had enough leftover for two more meals. The order was ready when we arrived and was hot and packed well for the ride home. I will order here again.

I can't give less than 1 star otherwise I would, we went for lunch after we saw the reviews, it had 4 stars, the place is filthy, the food less than mediocre, I never had such a bad experience in a restaurant in Tallahassee.

Food is just average service wasn't great. Atmosphere was the standard Chinese takeout joint style.

I have been here on multiple occasions and it has always been my favorite Chinese spot in Tallahassee! There egg rolls, krab rangoon, sweet and sour chicken and the chicken with vegetables are all phenomenal!!

This is my go to place for Chinese food. The food is very good for the price. The cheese wontons are delicious among other things on the menu.

Best Chinese takeout in town, and fair prices too. General Tao chicken is especially tasty.

I love this place! He good is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. My favorites are their beef broccoli, sesame chicken, cashew chicken, and hot and sour soup. Lunch is about $6 and dinner is about $8. I am satisfied and I don't feel like I spent a lot.

Best chinese takeout place I've ever had near where I live. Great krab rangoon. Everything is pretty spot on. Too bad they don't have bourbon chicken or a few other chinese/cantonese faves. Decent prices. Pretty comparable.

This is an great Chinese restaurant. I have been eating here for years, and the food is always delicious. I usually order for carry out, and it is very fast. It is a terrific value, and a wonderful local, family run business.

Wouldn't know what the food tastes like because we waited 2 hours for the delivery - food never showed up. Luckily we were refunded but it seems they did not want our business? Couldn't have asked for a worst first impression of them.
