Highlights

Emeril's airport spot serves up a mixed bag of New Orleans bites, where you might find some decent burgers but the service could really use a jolt.

"Emeril’s Table hits it out of the park. From local seafood to paneed pork chops and fried chicken and waffles, the menu hits all the right notes. Staffed by a well trained group of cooks and servers, the restaurant is a great reflection on the celebrity chef. Absolutely get the shrimp and grits." - Beth D'Addono

What a pleasant surprise this takeout airport location turned out to be! When Our flight was delayed, I went looking for something to hold me over until the next stop. Usually I just get something from the places in the hallway after the TSA checkins, but this time I ventured to the end of the gates near my flight. I had a horrible experience at Emeril's Bar at the Caesars Casino the night before, but had a feeling it was because of a bitter bartender, not Emeril's. The fried green tomatoes sounded adventerous, so I decided to go with these, topped with Gulf Shrimp. The staff was lovely, and management seemed to really be on top of things. Very courteous, and on top of their game checking constantly for the hot food that all of us ordered. You could tell this was made to order, and it was hot, just spicy enough, and had lots of that delicious remoulade sauce that was definitely what brought this dish together. I though the price was very fair, especially for airport food and the portion was much more than I expected. This experience definitely redeemed Emeril's restaurants in my eyes. and I can't wait to go back. It's the first time I was glad that my flight was delayed!

Loved the wheels up cocktail. The shrimp poboy was ok (shrimp tasted dethawed)--at least there was a decent amount. Want to try the bread pudding. Airport pricing.

Two scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, and a Bloody Mary. Perfect while I waited for my flight. The waitress was very polite and cheery, quietly singing along with the music playing.

Google
The food was extremely overpriced and just okay- the shrimp and grits were so hot it burned my tongue and not very flavorful. The banana pudding was average. The service was terrible. It was about 630PM on a Thursday evening and they had one customer at the bar, the entire restaurant was empty and we stood for at least 5 minutes while the hostess was on her phone and another worker was doing paperwork at a table nearby. The bartender did not acknowledge us. When we were finally seated, the hostess just sat us and walked off. We had to order with a QR code on the table. For the price of the food, you would expect to be treated better and for the food to be better. I guess they think since it’s at the airport, we should be thankful they have food there? Not acceptable.

Google
Forty dollars I will never get back. As they say don’t judge a book by its cover, almost all the food was disappointing. The roll I had to rip through with my teeth with some very dry chicken underneath that was supposed to be “fried”. That sandwich alone was $19 and I couldn’t even finish it. I’m not a picky eater in the slightest either. Will say the fries were good along with the delicious Cajun mayo sauce. On top of that, the main waitress avoided me while talking to tables around me and only talked to me to ask if I wanted another drink. Which was the size of a regular cup with a meal price. The margarita was well made however. For that price, I’d rather have bought a Coke Zero and a bag of chips and have money left over. Talked to the tables around me and they didn’t enjoy the food either. The reviews speak for themselves. 3/10.

Google
The server needs training. There was a sign sitting on the bar advertising a drink. I ordered it. She told me she never heard of it. I showed it to her, she tried to tell me it couldn't be made. Perhaps it was 86. If there was room I would have sat at the bar. I ordered a whisky and coke light ice in a pint glass. It came filled with ice in a rocks glass. Emeril either needs to come here and knock heads. Or this restaurant needs replaced by a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. I don't expect such incompetence in such a place. Maybe at a chain restaurant. But not here. The gumbo was extraordinary though.

Google
The fried green tomatoes were very good, the remoulade was tasty. The red beans and rice was also excellent, the andouille was yummy! Our server was clearly doing several things at once but was very friendly and helpful. Ordered online and the food came out fast.

Google
I was prepared for small portion airport fare but this was a very nice surprise! My pasta jambalaya was fantastic. The seafood platter was a huge mound of fried shrimp and catfish with some tasty steak fries! The coleslaw Was so good I asked for extra!! Service was quick and organized. I’ll definitely revisit this restaurant each time I’m here.

Yelp
Service by Ms. Erica was terrific. Ambiance was nice. It was a fun and classy atmosphere. Prices were reasonable but on the more expensive side for airport restaurants. They offer food that includes Louisiana cuisine famous to the local area. Banana pudding is amazing! The caesar salad was tasty, but it is served with extremely heavy dressing. Next time, I would order the dressing on the side. Kids liked their pizza. This restaurant was very accommodating. They allowed the kids to do 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni on the cheese pizza they shared. Also cool, they offer some fountain sodas as well as some bottled sodas/beverages. Nice to have that choice. Would definitely eat here again when in the area. I do recommend.

Jen L.

Yelp
The pizza is basically school cafeteria pizza but made fresh. The cheeseburger also meh. The po boys looked good, I should have tried that. The staff was friendly but the whole system is QR code menu, order and pay on phone now. What's the point of gratuity if they don't even do refills because it's by the bottle for water and soda and juice. I am aware I'm at the airport so it is what it is but with a name like "emeril" I had hoped. Food in lax is way better. If you want to up charge it's to be expected but at least make ur pizza sauce not from a can.

Vicki R.

Yelp
I stopped here to kill some time while waiting for my flight. I made a mistake by not reading the reviews first. I was greeted and seated promptly. I was advised to order using the QR code. I ordered a cheeseburger and a coke. The coke never came. The cheeseburger included a couple of pickles and some sauce. I asked for some lettuce and tomato to dress it up. I was given shredded lettuce and 2 slices of tomatoes. It was pitiful. I also had to ask my server for silverware. I passed so many other places I could have eaten. I'm genuinely disappointed. The appearance is nice but looks are deceiving in this case. I would not recommend. Save your money.

Yelp
We had a quick layover at the airport in New Orleans, saw this place, and decided to give it a try. Ordering was not convenient as you had to use a QR code and the menu was difficult to navigate. Plus there were no pictures to show you what you were getting. We chose the seafood combo with fried catfish and shrimp with a side of fries and cole slaw. It was HUGE! We could have easily shared this platter. Sadly, each of us had leftovers that went to waste. But it was very tasty and freshly fried to order. Service was not so good, hence the three stars.

David L H.

Yelp
Worst breakfast ever $16 sausage egg and cheese was cold and disgusting Cheese was even melted Waitress said their cooktop wasn't working Then why serve anything This is a disgrace! Emeril should shut this horror show down What a phony he doesn't give a shit obviously

Brittney C.

Yelp
It took awhile to be seated waiting at the hostess stand. Once noticed we were seated promptly. You scan the QR code and order online. Our drinks didn't come out as ordered, we ordered a burger no bun, apparently that means no condiments either? You aren't able to pay separately through the app. It's all or nothing. Service is mediocre, food about the same. Decent place to sit while waiting for your flight.

David M.

Yelp
Dont't let the name fool you. Stop somewhere else in the airport for food and drink. Sad that his name is associated with this mess. Ordering scan and app wasn't working so all orders had to be ild school, direct with the server. The bartender was over overwhelmed, nice, but slow. Shrimp and Grits are a hard pass. I like me some good S&G and this was bad. Overheard anothet patron trying to give away his order. Only saving grace was the booze.

LeeAnne W.

Yelp
This truly pains me to give any business one star. We ordered some simple drinks to go and couple of bags of chips. I am really glad that I did not order any food from the menu. We waited about 30 minutes for vodka on the rocks, a few pinot grigios and a margarita. I would feel terrible if someone came to NOLA for a short business trip and had to leave in a hurry and really wanted to try some New Orleans food and end up having anything from this place. Granted, we did not have food but I cannot imagine how long we would have waited for even basic food. The ONLY saving grace to this place was the lovely hostess. She was so sweet! In fact, I hugged her neck on the way out because I could tell she felt bad about the experience we had. I have eaten at Emeril's fantastic restaurants in the city and this place is not deserving of his branding. I hope this gets his attention and something is done about this. The next time I am in the airport in New Orleans, I will try something else. There are many many other dining and drinking options.

Alex D.

Yelp
I was waiting on a flight and ended up stopping by here to get dinner. I ordered to go, which you do through your phone and scanning the QR code in front of the to go area. I got the Pasta Jambalaya $20.99. This did take a bit to receive so if you are in a rush I would probably get food from somewhere else. This was somewhat soupy, not sure if that is intentional or not. The chicken in it was meh, kind of tough and flavorless. The shrimp in it were juicy and bigger than I thought they would be. The noodles were super soft and limp. The sausage in it was negligible as it did not add much flavor either. The soupy sauce was where all the flavor was but overall for what you pay, just okay.

Shane J.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of enjoying a meal from this restaurant at the airport! Usually, I don't have high expectations on the service ..ambiance or quality of food when dining at the airport. Emeril's Table has changed my POV (point of view) in this instance! I had a flight delay and most restaurants were closed..but the Manager at this location showed me mercy and provided freshly cooked wings and Gumbo Ya-Ya! Both of these choices were seasoned so well and packed flavor! I appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the staff and the quality customer service of the manager!

Lydia C.

Yelp
This is a nice spot to stop by while waiting for your flight. We both enjoyed our meals and had a great view of the runways, which added to the experience. Since it's located in the airport, expect a fair amount of noise from movement and announcements, but that's to be expected. We tried the Caesar salad and the fried chicken po' boy. While we've had better po' boys in the French Quarter, this one was fresh and tasty. That said, it could have used a bit more seasoning--I found myself adding salt and pepper. One thing to note: the restaurant is fully QR code-based for both the menu and ordering. If you prefer a physical menu, you'll need to ask for one. You can order and pay through your phone, but we still chose to communicate directly with our server and ordered from her. It was very busy when we were there, and we ended up spending about an hour and a half dining, which made us rush to catch our flight. The service was slow, and I suspect it's because they rely heavily on the QR code system, though I can't say for certain. However, our server was fantastic, and we were really grateful for her attentive service.

Patrick C.

Yelp
Horrible customer service Horrible waitress (Sandy) Ask for milk for coffee, she wasn't sure if they had milk. SMH Couldn't show us how to order or close out Grits weren't good Bacon and egg sandwich was ok With Emeril a staple to New Orleans, this should have been better

Nina E.

Yelp
Food is excellent for a short stop on the airport. Service was really good and our server was very friendly and patient. The ambiance is as in any other airport. Somewhat noisy but not too bad. I would come back when I am here.

Nic H.

Yelp
I stopped by to have a drink after my flight was delayed. I didn't order food, but everything I saw come out looked tasty. Be sure to check out other reviews to see how their dishes fare. I've attached a couple of screenshots of the menu. Online ordering was more of a hassle than anything because you still had to wait on the bartender to pay, which is super inconvenient at a crowded airport bar. I experienced the same at Mondo's (I had a lot of delays), so I don't know that it was specific to Emeril's.

Kelly G.

Yelp
I had an adult beverage and a cheese pizza. The pizza was cooked just right. Flavorful with quality ingredients. Also, I was never made to feel rushed. It was a pleasant experience while waiting for my flight. The ambiance is open to the gate areas, but not loud.

Syd G.

Yelp
I don't normally rave about airport food but this time is different. We got to the airport early to avoid rush hour traffic. It was our last shot to get some good Cajun food. There was about a 20 min wait for a table but the staff was friendly and communicated well. We sat down and our waitress was not only friendly but checked on us quickly. The place was packed so I had a little mercy knowing she was busying We ordered the nachos thinking it would take awhile to get our dinner. Unfortunately they brought the nachos out only a couple mins before the entrees. We could have easily split that for dinner. It was food but just a lot. My wife was excited about her shrimp PoBoy. It looked awesome and she loved it. I even got a bite and was equally impressed. I ordered the penne pasta with shrimp and sausage. It was scrumptious! Overall I was very pleased with our dinner.

Vickie C.

Yelp
We tried to eat there multiple times (3 times this year flying through MSY), and the first time, they weren't taking orders (to be fair it was during the busiest time during Taylor Swift concerts). The second time they were closed, and the most recent time we FINALLY got seated, just for them to say they didn't have the chicken and waffles (which were featured on the menu), so we left. We really wanted to eat here but It was kind of ridiculous that we were dedicated and returned time after time, and yet, we still got turned down.

mark s.

Yelp
Asked for a mule which is listed as a $12 drink. Tried to pay for it and was charged $18.99 Raise the concern with my server who checked with a manager and said that this was a double which is more expensive So I charged an extra eight dollars, but I was given twice the amount of alcohol I asked for They fix the tab, but I am extraordinarily unhappy with the service I am unhappy with the nachos that were cold and which were sent back I will never go to another restaurant again I was so excited to try emerils crawfish, dammit, and now I feel like the whole place is a rip off

Andi F.

Yelp
Service has gone downhill. They question you why you would want a menu to hold to look at. I got the muffaletta pizza and it was just off. Parts were burnt to a crisp, others soggy. It is located at the end of terminal B in the airport and just tired.

Heather H.

Yelp
The service was nonexistent. I sat at the bar for a good 15 minutes waiting for someone to help me. I tried to use the qr code but it didn't work. Once I finally could make eye contact with a bartender to let them know I was running into an error, three of them literally turned away from me. It was one of rudest things I've ever experienced. Feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable is an under statement.

Chris V.

Yelp
It's in the New Orleans Airport. Nice bar and food is a step up from airport food. The Gumbo has good flavor but watery. The fried green tomatoes are very good the shrimp is just shrimp. No spice. All in all it's good for a airport after a busy day. Didn't have time to eat at a local place. Quick in and out!!!!

Doug W.

Yelp
Worst meal we had in New Orleans by far. In fact, I want my money back. Shame on Emril for putting his name on this overpriced airport dive.

Kate C.

Yelp
Unbelievably bad shrimp po boy. Smelled awful. Waitress never checked in. Ordered via phone, paid via phone. Limited human contact...I edible.

Brandon S.

Yelp
Outstanding Long Island Iced Tea. Flying out of New Orleans and at the very end of terminal B is this great little bar near gates B10-B15. The bar tender, Lawanda, was just delightful and she poured a Long Island that would win awards. If you're at New Orleans International this is the bar to go to. Great service. Better drinks. Conveniently in ear shot of many of the gates.

David S.

Yelp
Choices and service are terrible. Lots of apathy with the employees. Bartender was miserable same as last March when I was in town. Very disappointing

Phill W.

Yelp
Slowest service, don't stop if you're within an hour of your flight. Food: Gumbo is pretty decent Jambalaya and crawfish etouffee weren't bad, but had zero flavor or spice.

Glenn V.

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch before our flight and the food was good. The service however was just as bad as the Brassiere at Caesars

Alex H.

Yelp
I arrived over an hour before boarding and decided to have a sit-down breakfast. The hostess stand was unmanned and a large group of at least three different parties were left waiting for over 20 minutes (in an airport where schedules matter). I counted at least five open and bussed tables with at least half a dozen open spots attached he bar and counter, do space was not an issue. I realized we were left waiting for so long because they just didn't want to serve us breakfast. So they kept us waiting outside the restaurant with no attendant for the duration of a normal airport meal because they didn't want to flip some eggs. The excused used was that it was hectic and the employee seating us was "alone." This was untrue because we saw at least one other hostess and a manager checking the hostess stand (without acknowledging the growing line of customers). When we were finally seated we had to order off the touchless menu. After three attempts to place the order I finally saw a human server and asked for her help. I got a one word answer and she rushed away. The online ordering finally (miraculously?) worked after another half dozen attempts as I was waiting for the server to reappear...which she never did. The food finally arrived about ten minutes before boarding and it was wrong. The manage just put on the table and walked away. I called to her to point out the mistake and she ignored me and kept walking. I actually had to raise my voice to just shy of yelling volume before she actually acknowledged me. THE MANAGER'S response to my incorrect food was to tell me she would send the aforementioned absent server. She, apparently, already knew what they had done wrong and brought out the correct order. The food itself was standard airport fare. None of Emerils's signature BAM! The burger was plain and slightly overcooked, the fries were slightly soggy on the outside and undercooked inside and the remoulade sauce was next to tasteless. I tried dipping my fries in it just make sure and, yes, it was just as bland as I thought it was on the burger. It goes without saying all I wanted was some eggs, sausage and coffee and that was too tall of an order for this restaurant. I would not recommend to anybody...try to eat before coming to the C gates because you'll only be disappointed.

Tre B.

Yelp
This is one of the worst airport restaurants in the airport. The staff acts bothered with you for ordering. They act like you should know when they are out of certain items as if you can read their minds. It's an extremely disappointing experience especially considering it's one of the largest restaurants in the airport. I know if Emeril cares but I'd take my name off this place if I was him. Food was good though. Too bad the service ruined the experien

Edwyn A.

Yelp
Airport food at this celebrity chef branded sit down restaurant at the edge of terminal b. The bar area is open seating so no need to wait if you go to the bar. Ordering is fine through QR code and they have wait staff and bartenders as well. I would say the food is just ok. I wasn't that hungry so opted for the gumbo. The rice was ok but there were a few kernels that were raw. I found the gumbo to on the salty end as well. Allot of people ordered the burger but to be it didn't look that special. I would say skip the food or stick with the fries if you need to nibble on something. The drinks were just average. I got the sparking margarita and a cosmo. Both were to sweet for my tastes. For a drink and a gumbo the bill came to about $39 (includes the tip and taxes) I would stick to beer or wine or basic drinks like vodka soda as the mixed cocktails are too sweet.

Meridena K.

Yelp
Not bad, but not what you see Emeril making on TV Crawfish etouffe was ok, but prob mass produced because there's no other way to keep up with the demand at the airport. The fried catfish fingers were excellent, crispy cornmeal coating, hot and super tender. The slaw was ok but the tartar sauce was definitely blah, more like just mayo, not fresh/house made (and not traditional tartar with herbs etc) so pros and cons with everything. You had to order thru the QR code but the server came by a couple times to check in so that was great. Quick service, overall pretty good for the airport.

Mei T.

Yelp
Emeril's Table is one of the many nice restaurants located inside the NOLA airport. We weren't able to get a reservation at one of Emeril's restaurants, so we settled for the next best thing. We only got the burger and fries, nothing fancy, but it was a pretty darn good burger! Service wasn't great and I never got my water refilled even though I asked a few times. Needless to say, I was disappointed....

Paul L.

Yelp
Service and drinks were fine. Food was terrible! Fried chicken poboy was like KFC dropped on toast. I guess if you like paying Emeril prices for KFC, you'll be happy. I wasn't.

David B.

Yelp
Truly the worst service of any airport restaurant. It's been horrible for years. Completely an issue with ineffective management. Sat at the bar waiting to order coffee and breakfast for 26 minutes. Didn't see the bartender take one order during this time. She just stood around. Had to leave to catch my flight. Awful, as always. Very happy to no longer have to call this airport and its poor service my home airport.

Brad S.

Yelp
Horrible rude service provided. Absolutely unacceptable at the prices they are charging. Asked for napkins - another customer had to give me theirs..asked for crackers to go with my gumbo - just stared at me. Horrible

Kate H.

Yelp
A bit of a letdown. I was hoping for a little bit more of an 'experience' considering Emeril's name is on it (yes, despite being an airport restaurant). This place is at the end of the terminal so it's sort of in a half circle shape. I came upon it on the 'wrong' side and had to walk around a bit until I found the host stand (not really their fault, just kind of an annoyance). Even though there were two people at the host stand, I had to wait a few minutes to be seated (not sure why). As others noted, there are no 'menus' or ordering through a server. You scan a QR code on your phone and it brings up a website where you place your order. I didn't mind that so much, though it was a bit of a pain having to keep clicking around to get to different parts of the menu. Although I didn't order through her, the server was pretty attentive. She let me know right after I ordered they were out of the wine I picked and suggested an alternate, and she did check on me throughout the meal. I ordered the fried catfish po' boy, which was pretty good. It was really hard to eat, though. Maybe that's just po' boys but because the catfish was so big I couldn't get a bite of fish along with the bread, etc. It had a decent flavor though, as did the fries. It looked like seating at the bar and the booths has outlets for laptops, which is nice if you were going to sit for a while waiting for your flight (though I was seated at one of the few tables 'in the middle' that didn't have outlets. I didn't mind ordering through the app, though it does take away some of the charm. It appeared the table next to me was having some issues with it, though, as they were trying to order more drinks and it didn't work (unclear if it was user error or a glitch), but the server was helpful. Not a terrible option, and the abundance of seating (and outlets) makes it a decent option. Just don't expect much ambiance/experience or food that's out of this world.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Quick snack before heading home. I just chose fries to go just to say that I could support Emeril. Very nice corner location with views near many gates in the B area. Order to go with the cashier or scan a QR code or see the hostess for sit down dining. Including bar seating facing the restaurant or bar tops looking out. Drinks, apps, pizza, dessert but also full plates such as po boy, pasta and sandwiches. Generous portion of thick cut fries with ketchup, mayo, mustard or hot sauce packets. BAM! IYKYK

Jose M.

Yelp
Terrible service, I wait for my food like 40 min, when I ask for my orden she didn't send the order

Nash W.

Yelp
I was prepared for small portion airport fare but this was a very nice surprise! My pasta jambalaya was fantastic. The seafood platter was a huge mound of fried shrimp and catfish with some tasty steak fries! The coleslaw Was so good I asked for extra!! Service was quick and organized. I'll definitely revisit this restaurant each time I'm here.

John F.

Yelp
Grabbed a quick bite here before my flight. Great service, very fast and the food was served piping hot and was delicious! I would definitely return!

Jeffrey F.

Yelp
I specifically came here because of the name Emeril. A few things I was disappointed with was the mobile ordering, which allowed no customization whatsoever. The burgers only came well done and there was no way to make it medium and even buy asking they said no. We ordered wings which were very good and a fried green tomato appetizer that was decent the shrimp. Poboy was pretty good but nothing exceptional. The burger was good not great and the jambalaya look like it was made with kids, macaroni and cheese twists. The food was OK but for them to have Emeril's name, I expected a little something jazzier and better. There were a few other really good looking restaurants at Louis Armstrong airport, and I would probably choose one of those next time and not come back.

Anne J.

Yelp
Thought Emeril's name would lend some class to the food, leaving New Orleans on a positive note. Wrong. Crawfish Etouffee - viscous one-tone slop in a bowl. Overpriced. Shrimp and Grits - at least there was more than one color tone, so we could distinguish the difference between ingredients. It was all too expensive for the low quality. Service was pleasant.

John L. H.

Yelp
Best airport food I have had so far. When you are traveling through an airport most restaurants are mediocre at best. Emeril's is a bright light and gave me a place to eat and drink while waiting on a delayed flight. Inside the restaurant, there is a giant bar. More on that later. Tables are tightly packed and you can scan a QR code to get to the menu. YOu can actually order on your phone but we had a very sweet server who took our order. I opted for the shrimp po-boy, fries, and a double bourbon. The bourbon was delicious but expensive. The po-boy was solid and also expensive. I guess it's all relative when you consider you're in an airport. After dinner, our flight was still delayed so we sat at the bar and drank more bourbon. This was a great decision for everything but my pocketbook. If you are waiting for a flight, I strongly recommend you enjoy this bar. There is lots of space, very few randos, and the drinks are plentiful. Don't expect the fanciness of Emeril's flagship restaurant in the Warehouse District. Do expect the best restaurant cuisine ever.

Dee C.

Yelp
I had some gumbo nothing exciting about it, there was a tiny bit of meat in there. The flavor was good and I hit the spot after I eat I felt like I was being hugged. But there wasn't much options on the menu at least none that I was happy with or like too much but this was satisfying.

Courtney B.

Yelp
So, when in Rome..aka.. when at the airport, you eat at the airport. Emeril's Table opened up in 2019 and is one of celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse', who got his start in New Orleans and now has restaurants around the country. The restaurant has a large bar and open kitchen with a view of its pizza oven at the end of concourse B at the new Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport terminal. Let's do this! My partner ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the red beans and rice. Shrimp and Grits The shrimp & grits were mediocre and I was not impressed with the lack of shrimp in this. However, there was an ample of sausage, which was over cooked. Finished grits should be thick, smooth, and have a mild flavor. These grits were still gritty, which as a good indicator that they needed more milk. Red Beans & Rice This simple dish was over salted. The andouille sausage flavor was missing from this dish. This means that the beans were not simmered with the andouille sausage and was added at the end. I'm not sure how not simmering the sausage with the beans is to be in line with Louisiana cooking. In general, this was dining experience was a complete miss on all levels.

Bill B.

Yelp
Service was very good, but the food was blah. I had the jambalaya pasta. It was boring and bland even though loaded with shrimp. Disappointing and not worth the calories. The setting in the airport is quite nice, though.

Michele J.

Yelp
Worse airport spot I have ever been to. The Manager on staff tonight was less than helpful and they were clearly understaffed.

Yelp
I frequently visit MSY since I have family in Louisiana. When I fly Southwest or American home and I'm looking to sit down for dinner beforehand, Emeril's is one of my favorite picks. They serve local Cajun fare on the menu and as someone who has had a lot of it in my life, it hits the spot, even for airport food. It's usually pretty easy to get a table or spot at the bar because of how big it is, which is also nice since many of the other dining spots are very small and don't have a lot of seating.

Yelp
We had a long day (almost 8 hours) at the airport due to some mechanical issues with our plane and needed to eat dinner so this restaurant was right across from our gate. So glad that we ate here! I was not expecting much from airport restaurant food since it is always way overpriced but we got the fried chicken po boy sandwiches and they are HUGE! Had to cut the fried chicken up to be able to take a bite and the steak fries were plenty and very tasty. The price was better than typical airport restaurant pricing at 18.50/sandwich. We also ordered wine but of course that was typical airport restaurant "over"pricing. Service was great as well.
