Lucille’s Chef Chris Williams Is Majorly Expanding His Culinary Empire | Eater Houston

"A bistro planned for Nova Scotia that will highlight local Nova Scotian ingredients paired with Lebanese flavors as a tribute to the restaurant’s long-running original owners, a duo of Lebanese immigrants who operated a restaurant in the same space for more than four decades." - Amy McCarthy

We had a little getaway with our youngest son to Queensland, and we got hungry. We didn’t remember seeing any restaurants along the way, but on our way back to Halifax, we came across this place. We were craving a lobster roll, so that’s exactly what we had. Since I moved to Canada, I’ve tried a few lobster rolls, but this one specifically completely blew me away—so delicious, full of flavor, and the fries that came with it… ufffffff. My son ordered a burger and devoured it! Paired with an ice-cold beer… it was the perfect way to wrap up an afternoon at the beach, with sun, sea, and great maritime food! Definitely recommended, and to the Latino community, we recommend it 100%!

What an absolutely wonderful experience at Emile’s Bistro this evening! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such a warm and inviting atmosphere — cozy yet elegant, and perfect for a relaxing night out. The ambiance was spot-on, with just the right mix of lighting, music, and decor to create a charming and welcoming environment. A huge shoutout to our server, Cassie, who went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her timing was impeccable — our food and drinks came out quickly, and we never felt like we were waiting around or being rushed. It’s rare to find service that feels both efficient and personal, but Cassie truly nailed it. The food? Absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into each dish. Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or planning a full evening out, Emile’s delivers in every way — great service, amazing food, and a vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. Highly recommend!

I had eaten their pizza before (which was enough to prompt another visit…) but tonight went in for a sit down meal with family from out of town. Considering where you’re at, the place surpassed all expectations and was solid. No other joints in the Hubbards/Tantallon area are doing bistro style food. There’s delis, and cafes, fish and chips, a couple of pubs and a few food trucks, but nothing with a little bit of panache. The oysters were really fresh, properly shucked and the mignonette was on point. Shrimp ceviche was solid. The mango was a nice touch, and paired well with the ingredients that you’d expect to see in a ceviche like tomato, red onion cucumber etc. Obvious care was taken in the preparation. ( Would have benefited from a bit of freshly cracked black pepper but there was none available…) The lobster roll was also on point. Simple, as it should be, letting the lobster do the heavy lifting. Served on a butter toasted New England style hot dog bun just the way it should be. Robin was our server tonight (she’s a Virgo I think…), and she was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to accommodate a few requests that weren’t on the menu. This is not fine dining by any means, but fills a gap in the local food scene with aplomb. Nicely done!!

We went there for supper and the food was delicious. The lady serving us was so nice. It takes a bit long to get you food but it is worth it. You can sit inside or outside. The prices are inexpensive

We stopped in late and ordered takeout. Cassie greeted us, very happy, very friendly, very helpful. Great service. Blueberry bread desert was delicious! Boys had an oyster.

A family-owned restaurant with a community feel. Laid-back atmosphere, perfect for kids! Very flavourful dishes (don’t skip the fries). Friendly and outgoing staff. We can’t wait to go back!

It was our first visit to Emile's. It is great to have a restaurant in this area. We were very pleased. The food was excellent. The fries that accompanied my hamburger were very tasty and the blueberry pudding cake was a lovely completion to the meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend it.

Yelp
Honestly, I only think I've ever left one yelp review in my life but this deserves my time. I went here on a whim with my family and it was horrible. The establishment looks unfinished and there is no cohesive atmosphere. The service was mediocre as my husband waited 20 minutes for a beer and sauce even though they weren't busy. The food is horribly overpriced for the quality. I ordered the vegan penne and it was $22 for one scoop of pasta! I'm not joking. I was told I was getting a side salad and was charged $14 for lettuce and bread bits soaked in oil. Drive by this one.

Yelp
This restaurant popped up on my tiktok for having one of the best lobster rolls in Nova Scotia... so I had to check it out. I ended up ordering the curry seafood chowder & 10/10 it was so delicious and unique, my partner also said the same! He wished he ordered this meal. My partner ordered the lobster roll, which was really good but the brioche wasn't as thin & fluffy as I've previously experienced, having too much bread to lobster ratio. The fries were good. He liked them but they were just a happy medium to me. Cassie was our server. She was super sweet, bubbly & very patient with how I order wine. Haha. Also, the interior is very cute!

Yelp
The two waitstaff serving customers were overworked, yet remained friendly with customers, which is the sole reason that I'm giving Emile's Black Point Bistro 2/5. The food was sub-par at best. The patio was pleasant but the interior felt cafeteria like. I ordered the lobster roll, that I highly suggest you pass on. My husband ordered the mussel in white wine sauce, which he also suggests you pass on. We agree the warm tap water was the highpoint of our meal.

Yelp
Went here on a whim and did not regret it! Everything was so wonderful and made with care, service was so very friendly. My wife and I split the platter and everything was incredible, my picky kids had pepperoni pizza and said it was "the perfect spice". We will be returning, again and again.

Yelp
All food is fresh and homemade. Desserts are traditional Lebanese. Very friendly owners. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Terribly overpriced. A rip off! Over $30 for two glasses of wine and some balaclava! One side of the establishment has a grocery store / ice cream parlor and the other half is a makeshift restaurant with no atmosphere. They were discussing what to charge us when we approached the register thus the rip-off

Yelp
14$ for a dry soulless falafel... Road side attraction I'd avoid next time - drive on by...

Yelp
Staff was initially friendly but food was served unwashed (salad leaf had earth on it) , glass had someone's lip-prints on it. When we complained about it, one of the two owners started yelling in Arabic to the other, calling my wife names, not knowing that we understood most of the said words (and they where not kind). Stay away from this place. There is also a bird in a cage there, very unsanitary.

Yelp
Very accommodating to my kids allergies. Donair meat and fries are great! It certainly isn't fine dinning or a slick establishment but a nice atmosphere. Owners are super friendly. By the way my kids are devouring the food.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Lebanese food around. All fresh and delicious. Definitely the most incredible hummus - made from scratch. A hidden gem with a very homey feeling.

Yelp
This place looks like a convenience store with a nice porch where people stop to get ice cream after a day at the local beach. But the signs for homemade Lebanese food caught our eye. The owner was a friendly effusive woman who let us peruse the menu at our leisure and we then took a seat on the porch (there's indoor seating as well). The menu looked great. A nice selection of mezze -- stuffed grape leaves, tabouleh, hummus, donair, and more. We had the "today's menu" which included a sampling: 2 stuffed grapeleaves, rice pilaf with lentils, tabouleh, hummus, a small meat pie, and delicious grilled chicken. In addition we got a fattoush salad. The service was a little slow, but we're on vacation and it did appear to be made to order so we didn't mind the wait. Everything seemed very fresh and was delicious! We grabbed drinks from the fridge inside the store and had a very pleasant meal. We would highly recommend the middle eastern food here. The menu is pretty extensive and every single thing we had was good. Lots of folks stopped for ice cream so that must be pretty good as well.
