Okay. For the most part, the food is very good. However, I had home fries with my breakfast that looked like they were straight out of the frozen food section, and had so much salt on them that they were inedible. Everything else that was ordered (for a party of 7, 2 meals - breakfast and dinner) was pretty good. And the portions are immense.
That being said, I have to wonder what the management is doing. Or if there even is a manager. We arrived for dinner pretty early. 5:00 PM. The sign on the desk said they were open 8 AM to 8 PM, but there wasn't a soul in the restaurant. I mean nobody. Not a host/hostess. No waiters. No customers. It was pretty strange, because the doors were wide open. After about5 to 10 minutes of poking around just outside the restaurant, someone came out of the kitchen and seated us. She also served us, since there didn't appear to be any other waiters on duty. She was friendly and helpful. But she would disappear into the kitchen for 10 minutes at a time. A couple times while we were eating dinner, people came in, looked around, waited for a few minutes, and finally left. It was kind of uncomfortable, as they could see that we were seated and eating.
Breakfast was more lively. There were already a number of tables seated and eating when we got down there at 9:00 AM. But again, this kind of waiting game. The waitress took our drink orders promptly, then disappeared for a while. She finally came back with our drinks about 7 or 8 minutes later, and took our order, which we got about 30 minutes later.
I guess the bottom line is, if you don't have anywhere to be, this is a good place to eat. As long as you don't mind waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting ... zzzzzzzzz.
